You go here for the experience in the atmosphere not for the food. The menu is a pretty good variety. Good prices and service I got the chicken and waffles and the eight piece garlic wings but I wish I had just got the burger. I prefer my garlic Parmesan wings, roasted, and flavorful.

Went to Hoptingers for the 1st time 12/21/25 and were so impressed! I had the chicken sandwich, the Jalapeno bacon jam was delicious, the chicken lightly coated & so juicy. We also ordered the ribs, love that they offer a half rack as well as a full. These were so tender with great flavor, loved the Carolina Gold sauce drizzle. Five-star worthy, for sure! Because it was such a great experience we returned today 12/27/25 for lunch & football. We decided to split the sliders & chose bacon blue cheese, American burger & Chicken Parm. Pretty sure they use the Kings Hawaiian pull-apart rolls, way too small to make a decent slider, plus all 3 buns were burnt. IMO Chicken Parm doesn't pair well with a sweet roll. We also ordered the Nachos, described as "Tortilla chips topped with vour choice of protein: chicken, ground beef or pulled pork, nacho cheese, diced onion, diced tomato and black olives Finished with diced green onion and served with a side of cheese." We opted for ground beef and added lettuce... these were just awful. Flavor was so flat, one-note, overpowered by red onion, the cheese sauce gloppy & grainy with such mild flavor that added nothing positive to the dish. I ate some because I was hungry but left feeling unwell from these. Today would barely make a three-star experience. Both visits the service was pretty slow but we weren't in a hurry either time, and the staff were all so pleasant. We're slowly learning what we will or won't order in the future. We love the vibe and we'll definitely return.

Outstanding experience at Hoptinger’s on Park Street in Jacksonville. Our server, ELISHA, absolutely made our visit exceptional. From the moment we sat down, her speed, attentiveness, and genuine care stood out. She handled our entire table effortlessly, made sure the kids and our grandchild were well taken care of, and never missed a beat. Drinks came out quickly, recommendations were on point, and she checked in just enough to make us feel cared for without ever interrupting the vibe. The music was great, the drinks were excellent, and the atmosphere was beautiful and welcoming. Hoptinger’s delivers the perfect mix of energy and comfort, and Elisha represents this place extremely well. If you’re coming to Hoptinger’s, ask for ELISHA. She’s professional, warm, and truly elevates the entire experience. We’ll absolutely be back.

So I was here for a wedding and I just wanted to say everyone was phenomenal especially Daniel! But also Cesar and the front of house manager were the best bartenders! Jack was an amazing barback ! Amy was the best security! From the moment I arrived they were so helpful with showing us the venue where we can put decorations! They were constantly trying to be helpful and make everything as beautiful and easy as possible! I especially felt Daniel as the coordinator was amazing and went above and beyond! I’m so happy to have had this team while setting up the wedding. Seriously an amazing group of sweet hard working people definitely rent out this space and work with them ! Super fun night and I won’t forget!

I visited here today (145-200 time frame). Fist thing is that I’m a disabled wheelchair bound veteran. I was here today by myself before heading back home. I parked directly outside in the only handicap spot. Got out and was speaking to one of the cooks who was on a break. Went inside and stopped at sign to be seated. First thing I noticed was that there was only one LOW TABLES in the entire place. There was a family (about 5-6) already sitting there. Fist thing I said to the hostel when she came up was hey is this the only low tables you all have here, and is the roof top open now? She replied the roof top doesn’t open til 4pm and no we have another low tables BUT it’s in the corner and there is a big step that it’s sitting on and the stools are not removable. I told her I had to use the restrooms and she said she would find out what to do. I came back and she stated that was all they had. I politely told her I would take the table in the corner because I could position myself on one of the corners and I asked to speak to the manager. The manger immediately showed up (Austin) who was really great and understanding and it was pretty much a teaching moment for him S I described certain things that they were definitely not within the government ADA Standards. We talked for a good maybe 10 minutes and I told him I was definitely going to eat and chill for a bit but where I was sitting would do but he definitely need to get with their GM because all it would take was a simple fix of taking some of the tables and cutting the ONE leg down a couple of inches he’s and adding short chairs. Something that could easily be accomplished during a closing time and not loose any money fixing it up. I also stated that each table has to be 36 inches apart from each other so even a bigger wheelchair can go through even when someone is occupying those tables by sitting in seats. again simple fix. We shook hands and he went about his job and I ate my meal. My server Megan was OUTSTANDING and I couldn’t ask for better service. Once I was done she came up and mentioned that the manager wanted to give me a shirt or a hat because I did tell him that this wouldn’t stop me from coming back again because the next time not d be heading up to the rooftop with weather permitting. Austin came Baja a couple minutes late and gave me the taint and tasted that he had spoken to his GM and that he thought they were good to go as far as being in compliance with the ADA guidelines. Word to the wise for anyone reading this review. If you are a CEO, GM, Manager OPEASE stop assuming that you’re within the ADA Guidelines or stop saying we are grandfathered in. Which is a bunch of crap. Most restaurants are in ADA guidelines by guess what? The amount of handicapped parking spaces outside your establishment. If your restrooms can’t accommodate the biggest of wheelchairs (my wheelchair is only 17 inches wide) for them to be able to go in and completely close the stall and turn around in just in case they have to transfer to the toilet ), enough space to them to maneuver between tables. Have at least 5 % of your tables are supposed to be low and all must display the ADA sign on each table at all times. Then addition of you have different seating areas they are separate in the addition. So if you have 40 tables then 5 % of them is low at a minimum . No where does it say you can’t go o we that threshold.. Simple math. But a vast majority ALL do the bare minimum if they do that. I can promise and assure you that I will be back to this and other establishments to make sure you guys are not just giving a bunch of lip service. I’m just hear to bring awareness because if I do then who will. There is no reason why my fellow wheelchair community should t be able to go it and enjoy ourselves like anyone else. We are not goi g to just stay at home or continue to go through drive through because places do t want to. Inform to the basic standards. The picture is where I had to sit to eat today. This shouldn’t be allowed to happen anywhere.

Came here to eat after watching a concert across the street at the Five theater. My husband got the Bacon Grinder burger with onion rings and a beer. I got the Nice Spice burger with French fries and the Bahop Blast cocktail. We also got the cheese curd appetizer. Everything we got was delicious and I definitely recommend going here. My only complaint would be that the cheese curds were luke warm at best.

I was staying at the hotel next door and a few people recommended it. It didn’t disappoint. The service, food and fun atmosphere made for a good experience. I enjoyed it.

TL;DR - Would definitely come back! Attracts a mixed groups of all different group sizes, I would definitely recommend checking this place out if you’re in Downtown Jacksonville. The downstairs bar/restaurant is a super great area to grab something to eat and drink. The music isn’t too loud at all, so you can still hear your conversation. Our server/bartender, Garrett, was super great and funny to talk to and definitely made our night. They stop serving their main menu at 10pm and switch to just bar food, so keep that in mind if you’re considering eating something heartier. We got the chicken nachos and it was delicious. We didn’t get to check out the second level, but the rooftop patio was also super nice, and it’s great for pictures too! You can’t order the full menu here, but you can bring the food up from downstairs. Service: I think the service was pretty great - despite the mixed reviews; I think it really just depends on how busy it is. The bartenders are really fun to talk to. Pricing: Really affordable prices. A night out here will not break the bank. Atmosphere: Different vibes on the three different levels; Downstairs is your regular restaurant/bar vibe, second floor is of a more club/bar scene - they bring DJs in, top floor is a chill rootop patio with a bar.

The fries were crazy in the steak and frites. They had an amazing aioli sauce. The salmon salad was really fairly priced and flavorful. Hubby loved the craft beer selection.

In town for the Florida/Georgia game and went to Hoptinger's for their variety of beers & food. Our server, Sagin was very nice & was helpful in getting us our food & beverage quickly I had the Chicago Dog & my wife had a salad with grilled salmon. Both items were served like a typical gastro pub, mine on a steel style tray & the salad in a white bowl. There is plenty of seating & their selection of beers is vast. I would say it has a good vibe of an overall pub feel. I would say this is a solid 4 stars.

It's vibey in here! A nice, mixed crowd and no wait for a table. Service was standard and the food was good. The food came out pretty quickly after ordering, especially for our party of 10. I ordered the hopsliders, which came with a fried chicken slider, beef with bacon slider, and chorizo slider. They were tasty, and filling. I also tasted the beer battered fried shrimp, which was crisp to perfection and had a homemade tartar sauce to go with it. The wet lemon pepper wings were a nice big size and tasty as well. For dessert, we had a warm chocolate lava cake with some vanilla ice cream, which was so rich and sweet. The restaurant is surrounded by other bars and restaurants, and parking might be a bit of a wait on a busy weekend night. We noticed a line of people start to form around 10-11 to go to the upstairs bar/club. There are other bars in the area, so if you're looking for dinner and a night of dancing this place and area might be good for you. I would recommend this place if you're wanting a yummy bite and some drinks before a night out.

The atmosphere at Hoptinger is outstanding. Inside is welcoming with strong wood and metal accents. There is a casual feel with a definitive hint of an upscale sports bar. The service was quick and excellent and because of our timing we had a choice of both their brunch and regular menu. The brunch menu looked good but I chose the fish and chips. Good fries, could have been a bit crispier but seasoned well. Great tartar sauce and ketchup. The fish was decent as well, but likewise could have been slightly crispier. If you like beer, and I do, they have a massive selection of beer (IPAs/Ales etc.) and drinks. Great Happy Hour specials and a deck that is THE spot to hang out in Five Points. This may be the best beer spot in the area. Just a great place to hang out to see a game and meet with friends. I wish I took more pictures of the interior but I'll include that next time because I will be back. Couldn't quite go to 5 stars here because the food while solid, didn't blow me away. This is a 4.5 but I can't do half stars. Maybe on my return trip as I try more of their menu and beer selection.

Always on point. Service & food are consistent. A go-to for all sports events...especially football.

We stopped in here after a wonderful day of celebrating a friend's birthday. Some of the group are from Michigan so wanted to watch the game while enjoying a beverage. We opted for a few appetizers to share as well. Appetizers were good, your typical fried bar food, but the dips were really tasty. I enjoyed the fried cauliflower and corn nuggets the most! (Who doesn't love fried food!) First, they had an Autumn Sangria which 3 of us tried. It was a red blended sangria with a cinnamon stick & cranberries. It was very tasty! I then tried a Peach Cider that our server recommended. It was very good. After the game we decided to check out the rooftop area.. What a beautiful space. Large bar area and plenty of seating all around the rooftop. And a spectacular view, especially at sunset.

Rhianna rocks. This bar is cooler than ice cold (word to Outkast). If you're looking for a place to buzz with the boys, take a girl on a date to a bar with a sunset view, or a bar to watch your Sunday Night Football parlay hit big (), look no further. Hoptinger 5 points is your spot. Micah also rocks.

The employee seems not to have a dress code. I've seen at least three people with stomachs showing a bartender with the no shirt and the hostess as I walked in looks like a stripper.

This was our first time here. Its was too cold to go to the rooftop and the stairs looked alittle steep. We sat on the 1st floor and our server was Alissa she was very helpful & friendly. My husband got the sausage roulette I have no idea why because he is so picky but he liked it.l thank God. It tasted to me like chilli dog but an amazing chilli dog and I got the Chicago dog and I absolutely loved it. The fries cannot be beat. They didn't offer sweet red wine on menu which is what I drink but the bartender made me a real sangria from wine and not a cocktail style sangria his name was Justin and it was amazing. I really hate the cocktail sangrias so this was great that he made that for me it's not on the menu. I found the service excellent and the food equally as good. We have only been to this part of town once before so we are trying new places out. The atmosphere is great it's a little loud for my taste I like to talk to the people I'm With and yell Accross the table so do your talking in the car on the way here. I highly recommend this place fun & delicious.

Hoptinger is a great place to go with friends or family! There are 3 floors--the first floor is a restaurant with very bright lighting and standard booths, bar seating, etc. the second floor is a bar with more of a club vibe, dark lighting and neon signs with a ping pong table and some couches! Very large space. The top floor is the rooftop with lots of cute little props, high top tables, couches, fun games, and picture-worthy areas--plus a large bar in the center! The service is standard and the food is really good. Their cheese curds are delicious but the specialty drinks are even better (they have an adult caprisun!!) I recommend going with friends--the second floor and rooftop are my favorite part. Music is great too!

Was very saddened by our recent visit to Hoptingers waited at the hostess stand-had a waiter come by to tell us "someone would be right with us"...waited some more...no hostess. Went to the bar and asked if a hostess was working tonight (there was a sign at the hostess stand saying wait to be seated)...he said yes and flagged down a girl. Hostess apologized and said she was "in training, and doing dishes in the back".....hmmm. Showed us to our table and said "Brandon" would be right with us. Waited for quite a while at the table for someone to come by....had 2 waiters walk by us multiple times and did not even look our way. We finally got up and went to the bar-with 3 bartenders we knew we would get some service. And we did-VERY good service, quick, attentive, and friendly. We love the craft beer selection at Hoptingers and have been coming for years, but if there had not been room at the bar - we would have walked out and eaten somewhere else. Hawkers was at least a 30 min wait with tons of people waiting outside--Hoptingers had maybe 5 tables inside full....sad

AMBIANCE / SERVICE: Hoptinger is 3 stories high!! First floor is a huge bar and seating area for food. There are a TON of taps. The second and third floor have bars. In order to get to those levels, be prepared for some stairs. On the third level, you get all the views and drinks! It's worth the trek up the stairs. They even have yard games at the top and a HUGE Adirondack chair for pictures! If you are going for food, be prepared for a wait if you go during popular time like dinner rush. FOOD: We started with the Cheeseheads and Dynamite Shrimp. The cheese curds (Cheeseheads) were really crispy, hot, and tasty! I would order these again. The Dynamite Shrimp was eaten by my husband and dad and they liked the appetizer. My husband ordered the Burger Roulette, which ended up having chicken, burger, pastrami, cheese curds, etc. and was delicious. Talk about jam packed! Side Note: Hoptinger is great for drinks / appetizers while you wait for your table, either at Hoptinger or any other restaurant on the block.

We came here to celebrate our daughter's reenlistment in the Navy. I had a couple of pints and a BLT with fries. Our daughter had the sliders and a mimosa. The service was great considering our table had over 18 people seated including 2 toddlers (my grandchildren). This is a cool beer garden and place to hang out and or watch a game.

Best salad for its price in Jax! $15 salad with at least a 8oz salmon that was marinated and grilled perfectly. The avacado, cherrie tomatos and feta cheese were chefs kiss as it all blended perfectly. I was full and revitalized with plenty of energy after that healthy and satiating choice. Callen our server, Mia the food runner, and Leah the bartender were all sweethearts and took good care of us. I'll def be back every weekend just for that salad!! The triple H's of Five points really hold down that area and you can't go wrong between: 1. Hoptinger 2. Hawker's 3. Hovan Mediterranean

I've been to Hoptinger several times over the years, but last night was the first time I have had dinner there. Usually the crowd I go with hits the 2nd floor and rooftop; neither of which I have been impressed with. But last night we ended up going downstairs for trivia and dinner; which was a much better experience. Everyone in the group loved their dinner; I had the Chicago Dog and it was very tasty. Our server was super and she did a fantastic job taking care of our group. I will probably not go back for the rooftop or 2nd floor, but I would go back and try some other dishes downstairs in the main dining room.

I am no stranger to hanging out at HopTinger, only normally when I go its in the evenings and I will be up on the rooftop. Which is oddly separated to the point it almost feels like two different businesses. Anyways today I finally made it in during a lunch shift and had some food and drinks, and enjoyed every minute of it. When you enter you are greeted some large open space, with a very modern design and color scheme. We were instantly greeted by our pleasant hostess, and opted to sit at the bar. I wish I had gotten our bar tenders name because she was awesome. She made some great recommendations, and she joined in every now and then for conversation. The vibes overall were immaculate. For food we got the the bang bang shrimp. Very tasty and the sauce had a nice little kick to it. The lemon pepper wings were everything you could want big meaty wings, still juicy and your favorite rub or sauce. As good as the wings were, I really could get over how much I liked the ranch. For all my ranch fans out there, you know how certain places have better ranch then the others... This was easily a top 3 in best ranch dressing for me. And lastly we got on of each burger sliders.. the chicken sliders was easily the best, the beef slider was good, but more sauced could have been used and maybe top it with some onion slices, just something to make it more interesting, I really just felt like it was missing something. And the chorizo slider I was the most excited for, but all the most disappointed about. Chorizo have a very distinct taste and this tasted like they took Italian sausage and formed them into slider sized patties. Besides it not tasting like chorizo I really didn't care much for the taste of whatever sausage they did end up using. All things considered I really enjoyed my visit for lunch. HopTinger still holds one of my favorite spots to visit in the 5 points area. And will easily be a recommendation of mine to any looking for something to do in the area.

Stopped by for lunch on Tuesday. Had THE BEST FISH&CHIPS EVER!! The fish was Cod, perfectly cooked & superbly breaded!! Served with delicious fries and out of this world home made tartar sauce! And real malt vinegar! Our waitress was so friendly and very attentive! We also had the cheese curds and the warm pub pretzel for appetizers!! SOO delicious!! This beer hall is huge. And offers bar seats and full party tables. Great place to watch the Jags and have a nice craft beer or custom cocktail. If you haven't been- YOU NEED TO GO!

Came with a group of friends for drinks and dinner and watch a game. service was really slow would not recommend, their excuse is a new bartender sorry but that is not an excuse on a Friday night, our server only came around twice in a span of 3 hrs, brought the checks before our last drink. Very bad experience. Also would add ac was not on it was very hot inside in the restaurant.

Hopping bar grill with indoor / outdoor seating close to the boardwalk. Many beers on tap, creative burgers and sausage sandwiches. Excellent mixed drinks. We had a couple of burgers, fried shrimp and a cheddar wurst sandwich. Everything hot, prepared quickly with friendly service. Great place for an early family meal, or late night with friends.

We have been here so many time, I have no clue why I never reviewed it! This time was for a work appreciation event! It was so much fun being on the second, private area! It was such a great time! I started with a German beer, which was tasty then we enjoyed some burger slides, hot chicken sliders, fresh fruits & a few dips! We had such a fun time at the event! Thank you Cypress & Hoptinger!!

Ok Hoptinger. I've been avoiding this place because it's always busy when I pass by and finding parking is a bear but... heyyyy... We visited, sat in the lower level area, experienced great service, ate the most delicious hamburgers and fries and drank well balanced mixed drinks. We got a table rather quickly, even though it was packed. It's a little loud and difficult to hear friends at your table but otherwise a fun atmosphere. Prices were reasonable. Parking was difficult, as expected, but doable.

The drinks are good I love the rooftop but it's always very crowded not the business fault but I do enjoy being there and having different experiences in different areas of the building Food is okay a little overpriced in my opinion

Came here on my way from Daytona, from the races! Kenny, Rihanna, and Micah took awesome care of me on the rooftop! Food downstairs was awesome, Ashely the manager was attentive making sure everything was ok! Had a blast for a Sunday!

1st time here !!! The vibe is nice ! It's huge inside. The service was great they were just a little slow on the kitchen side though. The food was average maybe switch up the menu a little add a little more . The waiter was sweet think her name was Caitlyn

I've been here a couple of times now, at the restaurant and the two different levels of bars. First, with the restaurant, both times I have gone, the food took a while to come out. The staff was super friendly, but the wait was not very appealing. Food wise, it was decent. It's nothing special but nothing horrible. Average. The second-level bar was quite a blast: pool, ping pong, good times. I spent a good few hours playing games and interacting with people. The top-floor rooftop bar is also enjoyable. Although it gets hot, they have a decent amount of fans and shade if needing to take a moment to cool off. The drinks were good, and I didn't feel it was breaking the bank too much. It was cheaper than getting drinks at the previous restaurant we were at. If I were to recommend a floor for a good time, I would say the second-floor lounge. A fall night would be perfect for the rooftop. A dinner party, definitely the restaurant area.

Great place for vegans and non vegans. The drinks are amazing and so is the food. Highly recommend anyone looking for a place with vegan and non vegan food to come here.

Love coming here when I'm Jacksonville! The atmosphere is relaxed, the food is delicious, service is good and prices very reasonable. I got the goat salad and it was as one of the best salads I've had in a long time. It was fresh with tender chicken but breast perfectly seasoned. Also got the house wine for only $2!!! The beer selection is amazing. My husband got a burger and 2 peanut butter beers. My daughter got the vegan chicken nuggets and garlic fries. We all ate everything it was so delicious. They have a rooftop bar as well but we weren't able to try it due to the rain. Hopefully next time.

Really enjoyed eating dinner at Hoptinger recently! I had been there with some friends on the 2nd and 3rd floor on a Friday night for the bar which was great, but this time I went with a friend for dinner at it was great! There were quite a lot of food options, and there was also a lot of available seating. There were tons of sports games being played, and it came with a very chill vibe. Definitely enjoyed checking it out and will need to go back again soon!

We were there around lunch on a Friday afternoon and were able to be seated pretty quickly. They were not overly busy, but had a few table sat already. We ordered our drinks (two beers) that took about 10 minutes to be brought out. We were then able to order our food. I was expecting a bit more German options based on the name, but there were not too many selections. I opted to go with the sliders (2 beef and 1 chicken) as my meal. They were good and flavorful, but nothing that was exceptional. My husband was daring and went with the burger roulette. It was a huge burger with a wide variety of toppings and it was exactly what he wanted and he enjoyed it. We didn't order another round of drinks since we were not able to get them ordered and they said the bar was backed up and would be awhile for another drink delivery. It was a good meal and experience, but nothing that would make me want to come back in when I am back in town.

I love the selection of beers. And the food is usually good. But the wait time on this particular visit was ridiculous. Over 20 minutes for our fried cheese curds. I really want to love this pace but I find it hard with the lack of service.

Comfortable atmosphere and kid friendly downstairs. The sliders were exceptional and our waitress KK was great. My first time having a margarita with a salt and pepper rim - so good!

One of my favorite places to go in Jacksonville. I always take people from out of town here when they visit. The food is great, they are highly vegan and vegetarian friendly. I've never had a bad meal or a bad time here. This time I got the vegan wings with Buffalo sauce and vegan ranch. I got a side of their garlic parm fries and they were so good. This place also has a rooftop bar and great night life. I know over the weekend you must be 21 to go to the rooftop after a certain time but I'm not sure of the times or if it is like that over the week. Definitely a must visit place!

Delicious food! Great atmosphere. They have so many different beers it's almost hard to pick! The wings are delicious.

The atmosphere with this restaurant is nice on the roof, but the full menu is not available upstairs. I've eaten downstairs also. The food is decent, and it always seems to pull a crowd on the weekends.

On a Sunday afternoon when game is on where do you go? Why not Hoptinger? They were not that busy and got a table right away. They had the jags game in all the tvs. They do have a brunch till 2 but we missed it by a few minutes. We sat in 1st floor but they do have 2 other levels with distinct vibes. Do love the rooftop bar!! Food was a tad slow to come out but it was cool as we were just chillin and enjoying the afternoon. We were stoked that they had the Miami Beach strawberry orange mimosa beer. Have loved it all summer but is hard to find right now.

My brother, sister, and I moved here a few months ago. We have been hearing amazing things bout this rooftop. We were so excited to try it out, we finally got a weekend to visit and as we are handing our IDs to the security we were told "oh sorry dear, we can't allow the white tank top, white crop top in.. we had to kick somebody out last week because of it" ... because of a shirt?? I didn't know shirts led to reasons to be kicked out. Riverside is a very inclusive area, I never expected to be turned away from a popular bar due to the assumption that I may cause problems due to my outfit. I just have been working out recently and wanted to look good. Thank you for discriminating against me and not even having public signage in regard to this rule. We checked the website. It is not listed.

Highly recommend the Burger Roulette!!! Service and atmosphere is great. A real treat for tourists who want fully enjoy their visit here to Jville. If the burger is too risky for your tastebuds, can't go wrong with their smash burger.!!

This was our first time. We had the fish and chips-really good. The chicken salad was fresh and the blackened chicken was delicious. The roulette burger was a surprise. It's basically anything they can throw on to a burger(wasn't exactly explained to us). It was a bit messy to eat although it was ok. I wouldn't get it again. Overall a great experience!

Really enjoyed Hoptinger , there are 3 levels the 1st floor is more restaurant like , 2nd level has great music but is primarily just a bar .. they offered pool , ping pong table , and they had smaller games placed at different tables. Really enjoyed it music selection was great as well . 3rd floor is rooftop, views were great and is very chill

Sit at the bar! Micah and Charlie/Charles were awesome! They were so attentive to us and the smash burger was awesome! Great beer selection, it is kind of their thing! The cocktail menu was great, including ingredients like Hawaiian Punch reduction. The place is very loud, but we felt right at home at the bar.

I went here with a friend in October 2023. We were greeted upon entry. Our server seemed knowledgeable about the menu. It's a pub. We had the mimosa flight, steak in a sack, and fried shrimp appetizer. No complaints

I decided to go with something familiar and try something new. I ordered online to avoid the crazy crowd. I've never tried the beercrout , but decided over any other side. I called the front to ask if the worts came with fries . Since sour crout was my side, had to pay $3 for fries. Order was ready by pickup time. Sourcrout had little seasonings of mustard. Fries were lukewarm but still were crunchy. Braut was stacked and covered in mustard. Something always feels like it's missing. I went home and toasted the bread and fries and pigged out. 3/5 because my food was cold. Parking in 5 points is lose and un filling. Found a spot on the side of the taco place.

After a long week at work, it was time for a well deserved outing with my friend! Unfortunately, Jacksonville doesn't have an immense amount of late night spots but luckily we have Hoptinger. The kitchen closes at 1 but the establishment doesn't close until 2. However, there are definitely bar-goers lingering until 3:30ish. This location is 3 stories high: The first one being a restaurant with a huge bar and a number of tables. The second story is an indoor bar with music and a couple pool tables. And the top floor is an outdoor bar with a few pool tables, music, and rooftop seating. On my most recent visit, we were feeling a more chill vibe and didn't want to be in a crowd with lights and music so the first floor was perfect for that. Well, maybe it was because they had food and I was starving! Lol! I started out with an old-fashioned and my friend had a tequila sunrise. 2 drinks in and I was craving some tipsy snacks so I ordered the cheese pretzels, chicken tenders, and I substituted the side for the chorizo mac and cheese although it usually comes with fries. as far as Barfield goes, I was absolutely overwhelmed with joy. Usually, bar bites taste frozen and reheated or are just greasy and unseasoned but the chicken was unbelievably tender. I am a huge mac and cheese fanatic and I was blown away by the creaminess and starchiness of the mac. And lastly, those pretzels were light and airy and the cheese was deep and rich to balance it out. The drinks were great, the music was a vibe, the service was outstanding, and I will definitely be returning with more energy to check out the rooftop at night!
