"People bundled in warm fleece-lined jackets with knit caps and mittens, huddled around heaters sipping beer and eating burgers and pizza, give this East Vancouver outdoor space a chill camping vibe. A long list of brews, including the citrus-y, tropical Vancouver IPA (VIPA) and a full menu of salads, appetizers, burgers and pizza make this a popular spot even on chilly days. The Rocket Man pizza, strewn with lemon sprinkled arugula, feta, and hazelnuts, is a noteworthy pie to house by one of those heaters." - Rachel Pinsky

"Hopworks was one of the first spots in Vancouver to recognize that serving good beer in a family-friendly space will draw crowds. Adults can dine on tomato pesto soup or burgers with Swiss and feta cheese, grilled onions and mushrooms, and lemon-vinaigrette-dressed arugula while sipping a hoppy IPA or smooth German pilsner; meanwhile, the kiddos can chomp on burgers, Caesar salad, and grilled cheese from the colorable kids’ menu. If they get antsy, kids can roam in the play area or around the outdoor patio." - Rachel Pinsky

This review is on a few visits combined. I got the grizzly snacks berry sour. I also tried the POG sour, but it surprisingly, it wasn't my pick. My husband got a whisky sour which he liked. On another visit with a large group, we ordered the pretzel appetizers which was like more salted bread sticks with cheese dip. I like them. We also shared the whiskey King bbq chicken pizza. The pizza was very good. It was a new york style with plenty of cheese, jalapeño, chicken, red onion and bbq sauce. We got the large size - the slices were enormous!

Love this place. It is literally the most perfect place to enjoy a nice, sit down meal with a little one. The servers are totally understanding of kids/families, and are super kind and attentive. The play area is an easy 10, and it's so fun to watch the LOs have fun together! If you have a LO and want to enjoy a good meal and great vibe, check out Hopworks!

I usually do not leave reviews, but I had to do this this time. I honestly do not know what has happened to this place because they used to be very fun and it was always packed with a lot of people and the atmosphere was great. The food was great and now it is absolutely horrible. First thing is first we get into the restaurant we had to wait to be seated at our table Which we were, we decided to sit outside and they set us down at a dirty table. The kids menu was used and all marked up with crayons and the hostess mentioned that this is the only kids menu she could find at the moment, but she will print new ones and bring out a new one which she never did. Waited for food for about 45 minutes with almost no people sitting there and when we receive the food, they did not bring what we ordered and the food was not even hot, one of the dishes had fries which you would think the waitress would ask if we wanted to at least ketchup which she never did she just walked away. Two out of three small white plates were brought out to us dirty after asking to replace those plates. We got two more and one of the two was still dirty. I just decided not to even bother asking for a new plate and didn’t even use it. I ended up speaking to the server which she was very nice at first then she told me she was going to let the management know but when I said, I will still have to leave this review her attitude changed and she said OK whatever and walked away so she turned very rude. So all in all the experience was absolutely horrible and I guess it really shows why there are no people there when the next-door restaurant is absolutely packed. I will most likely never ever visit the place again which is very unfortunate because I really used to like that place.

I always pass by this restaurant on my daily commute and have wanted to try it for quite a while now. My husband and I decided to come here on a Saturday evening for dinner. I wanted to love it, but that just wasn’t the case. We weren’t greeted when we walked in the restaurant, which is somewhat understandable considering they were busy. It was a hot July day so we opted to sit inside, and it was still so hot inside it seemed that they didn’t have working AC. The Tree Frog Pale Ale and pretzel/beer cheese app were both very good which lightened the mood some. But the arugula mushroom burger with fries was so salty I could hardly stand to eat it. Overall it was an okay experience but I’ve been to lots of breweries that are much better than this one, so I don’t think I’ll be coming back here again.

Pizza was one of the best I’ve had in a long time. Great beer as usual

Love the beer and the food! My Ruben was standard bar Ruben. The staff was amazing and always friendly!

Google
We were there early on a weeknight so they weren’t busy at all. We got seated right away. Our waiter was not very friendly, had to ask for drink refill. Not impressed with their menu, hard to choose something and the food honestly was not that great for the price we paid. Hubby liked his beer brewed there so that is what they have most going for them. I wish them the best, but we won’t be back.

Google
Tried this place for the first time today and it was great! Don't get me wrong, it's not a cheap lunch but I thought the price was worth it. I paid $21.71 for a vegan burger (vegan Impossible patty, vegan bun, vegan cheese, lettuce/tomato/pickle) and a side of fries. Great customer service, they even gave me a cup of house made vegan ranch, which tasted great. The entire restaurant is nut-free which is AMAZING and super helpful for me. Will be back to try the pizza!

Yelp
Once again jumping into Hopworks again. I have had their beer on more than one occasion in the past but the beer I had here was a new one for me. I had their pilsner known as Beer Time and it wasn't a bad one at all. Flavor features with this are clean, crisp, bitter and hoppy. The beer itself has a shimmering brightness which gives you a visual impression that it's going to be a refreshing beverage. I didn't try the food here and it looks like a few other Yelp reviewers didn't care for it so I can't comment on that but the pilsner itself sufficiently provided a solid beer experience.

Yelp
Not sure what to say, this place has gone extremely downhill. When it first opened it was the place to go. Food was awesome, it was kid friendly and the noise level was moderate. Now after this last experience and several before I can't do it anymore. The pizza was extremely doughy and hard to eat. The sauce on the pizza seemed runny too. The pretzels were okay but not great. The ceased salad had almost no taste to it. My kid love spaghetti and pasta. He literally told me no, I checked the pasta sauce and it was so so. However what really fried my Biscuits was the service. It was horrible. I mean horrible. Forgot drinks, had to ask for refills, plates, forgot to put things in. Then to top it off there is a 3% service charge that they sneak into the bill. I asked for it to be removed and the look I got, WOW! If the service was good maybe, but not my job to pay for a company's benefits especially when your foot is expensive enough. This will be the last time I give the Hub a chance. What a waste of funds.

Yelp
Garlic fries... tasty!!! Cobb salad with mustard vinaigrette Chicken tenders quite big tenders good Pizza ... thin crust Whiskey bbq burger ... yummy Service was a bit slow... but server was kinf

Yelp
Took over an hour for our party of four to get our food. We went on a Thursday night and there was barely anyone there and it still took over an hour. Food was ok, the inside was nice and kid friendly.

Michael A.

Yelp
Good selection of beers and really decent food. I ordered a flight of IPAs. Sometimes you can't tell one from another but each of them were very diferent and distinct. Glasses are perfect size. I ordered the Dad's Favorite burger and was pleasantly surprised. Comes with 2 beef patties and normal burger fixings including mayo. The tater tots were perfectly cooked (crispy). Patio is dog friendly and servers brought fresh water. Tons of space inside and out. Very busy area but was able to be seated right away. Such a great experience.

Tabatha J.

Yelp
This place has redeemed themselves! The pizza is back and the staff that withstood the hard times. The kids area is still as good as it was before but the food has made a great comeback!

Alyson C.

Yelp
Wish the food was better! We love stopping by Hopworks when the weather is nice for a hard lemonade or beer with dinner on the patio. Laid back, family and dog friendly environment. Have had positive experiences during all visits, but never too impressed by the food. Have enjoyed and ordered the pretzel sticks and beer cheese multiple times - the perfect appetizer with a drink any time of the year! Highly suggest the lemonade in the summer - delicious with or without alcohol!

Ace E.

Yelp
Great service at the bar! Green goddess bowl was delicious and the beers tasted great! Bike frames hang above the bar and they have a spacious open loft second floor. A long copper topped bar and a half a dozen high top tables and booths make up the bar area as well as a peek at the brewing process make this a fun place to have a drink and some grub. Id like to check out the large patio some time. I'll be back next time I'm in the area.

Yelp
Great food and beer at Hopworks! This was our first time visiting Hopworks and it was a great experience. Our server was friendly and attentive. I ordered a beer flight and really liked the Joker beer which was a hazy fruity IPA. We ordered the following food: Pizza: D.N.F. which came with Mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, sausage, bacon, mushrooms, olives, bell peppers. This pizza is loaded! The crust is thin but also fluffy. The pizza was so heavy with toppings that I used a fork and knife to eat it because the crust couldn't handle the weight of the toppings. It was delicious! I would get this pizza again. Pulled Pork Nachos: These came with tortilla chips, pepper jack cheese blend, roasted corn, black beans, pickled jalapeños, braised pork, green onions, pico, cilantro, ranch crema. The nachos are a huge portion size that are great for sharing. There was plenty of toppings on the chips. I would get this again too. Zucchini Fritters: My least favorite item that we ate. They were kind of soggy and lacked flavor. The pizza and nachos are the way to go! Overall, Hopworks was fun! We left full and happy!

Yelp
Reviews are complicated, and negative reviews are a dime a dozen. SO first and foremost...5 star service. We LOVE HUB in general. We're bi-weekly patrons! HOWEVER, the much anticipated "return" of pizza is a HUGE disappointment. We used to love the "old" pizza, but the "return" brings a "thin" pizza that tastes like cardboard. Also, a "kid's pizza" was a pizza before...now, it's a large slice of cardboard. All of that to say that the much anticipated "return" of pizza has landed with a thud like a cardboard box. (Did I mention cardboard??). We WILL be back...we will just not be ordering the cardboard.

Yelp
I had lunch today here (on a Sunday) & the waitress & servers were so nice, prompt, & made sure I didn't need anything else after giving me my food. I had the Chicken Verde Nachos for an appetizer-they were served at a great temperature, very flavorful, not too spicy, I would order it again! For my main meal I had the Overland Buffalo Chicken Sandwich, perfect temperature (opted for grilled chicken instead of fried) & substituted a salad (with honey mustard vinaigrette) for fries. The salad was exceptionally flavorful & so was the chicken sandwich. I will definitely be ordering this again too. I drank unsweetened tea which had a nice flavor as well. I can't wait to come back here again!!

Jackie A.

Yelp
I came here in the mood for something healthier and I found my new favorite menu item! Do not skip out on the green goddess bowl, it was so delicious and super filling. Possibly my favorite salad ever, it was a 5/5, and the honey roasted sweet potatoes were the best part. Already dreaming of eating this again and the service was quick and friendly.

Darbie E.

Yelp
My mother in law & I couldn't get into the place nearby so we popped into HUB & were pleasantly surprised. It's just a tavern, but the food is pretty good. We're not beer drinkers so I can't speak to their selection but it looked pretty extensive.

John R.

Yelp
First thing - lose one star because QR codes. Bring back menus, I am done with scanning a code with my phone to order food. What about people who don't have or like smart phones? What about elderly people? What about people who want to talk to each other instead of stare at phones? It was a stupid thing during the pandemic that in reality helped no one - it was hygiene theatre. Now restaurants are just getting lazy and cheap (plus they want our data). Second, food was decent. It's a little noisy atmosphere but not too bad (kind of echoey). Service was ok, nothing to write home about. No super complaints - we like it enough to come here once or twice enough. The root beer is very good...

Joseph B.

Yelp
They change the menu all the time. They don't sell the pulled pork sandwiches, tater tots, or the Goddess salad. All of them were delicious. It is very disappointing to get to the restaurant and find out they no longer have what I was hungry for.

Bradley L.

Yelp
Beer selection is great, and all their beers are good. The rotate them seasonally, which is awesome. 5/5 for beer. Service is consistently pretty good. Everyone's cheerful and helpful, and we usually don't have to wait too long. 4/5 for service. Food quality is inconsistent. Sometimes it's great, sometimes it's just OK. I feel like this has gotten worse lately. Plus, they used to have really amazing pizza, and recently removed those from the menu, for some reason. Too bad. I'd give an extra star to get the pizza back for sure. 3/5 for food. It's lovely inside. Both bar and open seating, the whole place is just beautiful. 5/5 for ambiance.

Yelp
Ended up here on Father's Day with the entire family in tow: wife, three boys and two doggos! We were seated on the (dog-friendly!) patio, and placed our order pretty quickly: my wife had the alliteratively and redundantly named Curried Curry Chicken Salad Salad (no, you're not having a stroke), and a large PPP (pepperoni pizza) for the kids. I attempted to order the Steakhouse Burger but was informed it was sold out, so I opted for Dad's Favorite Burger instead, throwing on some pickled jalapenos and blue cheese for good measure. Our entire order came out promptly, our server was friendly and efficient, and the food was delicious and appropriately portioned. My burger was perfectly medium rare as requested, the salad was appropriately curry-fied without being overbearingly so, and the pizza was tasty, if a little too greasy. Not that the kids noticed or complained, though. Biggest standout of the night was another woman, who was not our server (perhaps a manager?) came by during the meal to bring a large bowl of water for our thirsty puppers. She was extremely gracious, sociable and personable, asking questions about our little buddies and giving them plenty of love and attention. It was a nice little cherry on top of an already pleasant experience.

Rachel H.

Yelp
Perfect place for a drink and snack on the patio! Also very dog friendly. We all enjoyed our beers - they had a great selection. The nachos were huge, good value & delicious. The patio area had a great atmosphere & service was great! We brought our pup and head a dish of water before we were even seated!

Valerie W.

Yelp
YES to beer! YES to yummy pizza! And YES to Hopworks! Plenty of indoor/outdoor seating Good Atmosphere; TVs with sports on Great rotating beers Decent prices Yummy menu! We tried the stuffed mushroom pizza, pretzel sticks, spicy Hawaiian pizza, and chicken strips. All great! The mushroom pizza was an absolute favorite. Perfectly garlicky! Spicy Hawaiian was so-so. I did not care for the huge chunks of ham. Chicken strips were pretty good as well! All in all a great stop for food!

Riley J.

Yelp
This place has great beer! Rumor has it, I've never had it, but they may do pizza again and that would be great! Cool servers and bartenders. Good service. Environment is relaxed

Noah B.

Yelp
We love Hub. Let me just start out by saying that. But we were very disappointed when we realized pizza wasn't on the menu anymore. Our son literally calls it, "the pizza place" and always asks to go. Our server explained they did a "revamp of the menu and they want to focus on burgers..." I understand this could be a way to save money...I bet the margins on pizza sux. But seems like a risky move. I thought this was the best pizza place in the area and we made an effort to drive here even after we moved farther away. We do live closer to another pizza place (Heavy Metal) so we'll frequent there most often, I guess, with earplugs for the quiet child. Our server, however was great!

Kiennah B.

Yelp
This place was a serious go-to for our family, but not without the pizza. Our family and many I have talked to are not interested without the pizza. Such a bummer.

Heather H.

Yelp
Short staffed. Bathroom disgusting. Food for overpriced and minimal. Must be under new management.

Adrienne M.

Yelp
The Five Stars are for our server Lily! She definitely made our visit! We sat on the patio! It's so nice and spacious out there! It was lunch time so we tried a starter which was pretzels with dipping sauces! Yummmm. Next I just wanted to try the Classic Burger and just see how they do! I did like the fact that they had a chocolate stout cheese! Yes I know sounds crazy right! I had to try it out! So it came... The burger. It looked nice! So dig in! Man oh man was that a pretty good burger the cheese was so good, Bun was Amazing! One thing that I didn't like, it was caked with Mayo! One thing I can't stand is a dry burger or a burger with way too much Mayo! I definitely had to scrap it off! So helpful it to cooks making burgers the Mayo should never be glabbed on unless someone asks for extra extra Mayo lol. Other than that not bad at all. Lily you were a breath of fresh air! With the world being so different and people being so inhumane! I really appreciated your attentiveness and your genuine way to navigate through all this with a smile! Keep it up girl! Your Amazing!!!!!!!

Yelp
We used to love going to HUB in Portland and were over the moon when they opened one in Vancouver. We used to visit almost weekly and have been mug club members since they opened the doors. Today we brought my oldest for their 17th birthday and realized (after they were out of half the IPAs listed on tap) that they no longer have pizzas on the menu...seriously? Pizzas are what you guys are known for. First they got rid of my favorite thing in the menu, the Stromboli. Then, they got rid of my second favorite...the calzones. Well, at least they still have really good pizzas...NOPE!!!

Laurie D.

Yelp
This is my 3rd visit to Hopworks, pretty disappointed this time. The staff was wonderful, very overworked. We sat inside, most of the diners were outside so I am not sure if that is why the process took so long. Again, the staff was stretched thin so it was not because they did not care. We were greeted within 5 min, took our beverage order. (waters and and ice tea) 15 minutes later the beverages arrived. We placed our order when the beverages arrived and we finally got our food 45 minutes later? There were only 4 of us who ordered salads. My neighbor was very disappointed that you no longer serve pizza!! He loved your pizza last year when we all went together.

John J.

Yelp
Outstanding service. Make sure to read my food review. HUB and their team get two 5 reviews. On 9/26, we took my parents, visiting from Texas, to HUB for dinner, on the hotel manager's recommendation. We had just ordered when my dad stated he didn't feel well and slumped over becoming unresponsive. HUB's team was amazing, calling 911, setting up a relay so we could answer questions without leaving dad's side, packaging our food to go, and checking on us constantly. They went above and beyond. While I don't recommend having a cardiac event at dinner and traumatizing staff and other guests, I am grateful that HUB's team acted quickly, professionally, and with compassion. Thank you HUB, you have a customer for life.

Vickie W.

Yelp
It was awful. Service was poor, food wasn't hot. Was charged for two sets of nachos, because we had to send the first ones back because they were not hot. Then they charged a fee of 3% for employee wellness program?? If you don't ask they don't show you the bill. I asked for an copy so I caught everything. Tip was still charged on original mischarged amount. Asked three different employees for ranch sauce. Unbelievable really. Just watch your bill people. We stopped there because they used to have a pretty good pizza for the kids, their kids offering s were mediocre at best.

Sandra G.

Yelp
Met at the front by a very unfriendly young man. it was a Monday at 4:45 pm, September 11. He wasn't happy we asked for a printed menu instead of using a QR code to order. There were around 4 tables occupied in the bar and about the same on the outside patio. We asked to sit in the dining room, which is located right by the patio. He seated us without a word and disappeared. we sat ignored for 10 minutes. A male server, maybe it was the same guy, walked past us without eye contact to the outside patio. Not even a "someone will be with you." we sat ignored another 5 minutes and left. It was the worse service we've ever experienced in Vancouver and we will not return. This server/host was obviously having a severe personal problem for which I sympathize , or hates his job. Either way, you do not need to take it out on the customer.

Tanna C.

Yelp
HUB what happened! We used to love the pizza, which is now gone. We ordered the BBQ pork sliders, queso and a burger off the happy hour menu. Burger was meh. Queso was watery and BBQ pork was one bite of pork and slightly stale bun. Service was fabulous as always and the beer was excellent! So sad that the food has gone downhill though. There are too many places for good beer to let the food slip.

Christine G.

Yelp
I really like this place for outdoor seating if you're not going to the waterfront. The drinks are always good. Service is good and I've never had a wait. They let you enjoy yourself without ignoring you. Good vibes.

Brian B.

Yelp
NO PIZZA! Really disappointed that HUB stopped serving pizza. HUB pizza was one of the best in the area. Plus pizza is a profit center for a restaurant when done right. Now the menu offers nothing really that separates them from any other pub. Also, lost the Black Bean Burger which my wife enjoyed. Still great beer. Our server was great and busting his/her ass but the welcome committee seemed less than thrilled to see our family walk through the door and it seemed strange to have to wait 10 minutes for a table when the restaurant inside was half empty. Beer is still good but it took 20 min to get it served once I ordered. I'll buy HUB cans at the store and get my pizza elsewhere.

Karen C.

Yelp
Hubby has been ordering beer from HUB throughout the pandemic. They were offering delivery early on, which we took advantage of, but I think they have since stopped. No matter. Now that things are loosening up a bit and we can enjoy days with good weather, we like to pop in for a bite to eat and grab our beers to go. They have always had good food and a nice mix of beverages at this brewery. Pre-pandemic, we have seen birthday parties hosted here, and they had a nice spot for children to play while the adults mingled. Service is always super friendly and quick. And for those still trying to be extra safe, they have some nice covered seating options outside, complete with propane heat lamps. This is one of our main go-to's for a family meal out, or a quick bite to eat between running errands.

Alexis S.

Yelp
Really disappointed. Food was ok. My half sized salad was the same size as my friends full. Drinks were good. Had to ask for water and friends coffee refill. The food took FOREVER. I'm talking over an hour with zero communication from the server, which is just not acceptable.

Lori R.

Yelp
All three of my stars go to the kids area for playing, and the pb&j that made the kids super happy. It is a super good thing that they have a very like-able play area plus crayons for the table, because service was way understaffed and they had a serious computer crash (or so they said) the night we were there, which meant long waits, beer outages and more long waits. Food: My happy hour tempeh sliders were flavorless. There was a fairly invisible smear of bbq sauce on one slider, which was topped with plain cabbage. Literally. This wasn't slaw, it was plain raw unadorned cabbage. Even the slider buns were stale and dry. I ate one and passed the other along to Son who never lets anything go to waste. Even the beer that we finally managed to get was only so-so. (the one I wanted that our Server sold me on turned out to be non-existent). I will say that the Power Green Salad looked good (and was reviewed favorable by DIL). Prices are way high (even by happy hour standards) for the quality, but when you factor in the keeping-small-children-happy factor, it equals out to a 3-star for me.

Edward L.

Yelp
Love HUB but the service is still slow and just poorly trained. No accountability or seemingly care to/for the customer. When asked if dessert was put in, after waiting an inordinate amount of time, the server's response was merely "They should be, it's whenever the kitchen gets to it." No follow up after food arrived and had to order drinks through runners and hostess staff. HUB has great beer and food, but PLEASE, train the wait staff to care even an iota about the customer. B.G. Seems like a nice person but she didn't seem to care much about making our experience a good one. 6/4/21

Shauna C.

Yelp
Our server Ceara was amazing great customer service! Outdoor seating is pet friendly. But what happened to the pizza? Best thing on the menu and they took it away. Please bring the pizza back!!!

Derek A.

Yelp
I tried a citrus beer that was excellent when I went to Hopworks during Happy Hour but couldn't try the pretzels as I had recent dental work. Good reason to go back!

Eli I.

Yelp
I witnessed some serious mismanagement tonight. There is a manager working at this establishment that is lying to her coworkers and creating purposely manipulated hostile situations toward patrons. Unfortunately this person is manager, and it is not only hurting the company culture and working environment, but undoubtedly causing other issues within the staff that I am unaware of. Her name is Tina. Two weeks ago we purchased 2 'crowlers' to go. After 6 attempts of incorrectly filled cans, the final product was brought home and when opened was flat - no carbonation (incorrectly filled). We went in tonight and casually brought up the issue with the manager (Bob). He was very friendly and offered equal compensation, and even offered 4 crawlers as competsation. He actually explained how the cans must have not been filled with extra gas thus not holding carbonation, an error on the bartender. No harm, no foul - no big deal - he offered replacements. This is where this got interesting. New manager on duty, Tina- came to us and explained: The can machine is not working, and will not honor Bob's original deal. Argued over what we had just explained to Bob. Confrontational over what beer was originally we had canned- the prices varied. Very hostile, and a compete 180 from what we just had experienced with Bob. She claimed Bob was no longer on shift and he'll be back Wednesday. We just said "There is nothing you can do for us Tina, we'll wait for Bob on Wednesday." Tina's experience was hostile, confrontational, unprofessional, and she belittled us that she was a manager/ we were liars! Turns out Bob isn't off shift! In fact, he comes out of the kitchen area 20 minutes later and comes at us with attitude. He is totally a different person, like "you guys are making my staff uncomfortable" and "I did everything I could to compensate you". I told him "you're fine" and had no problem and appreciated him! I don't know where this is coming from! Acted like we were causing issues even though nothing had happened since we talked to him except the Tina interaction. We were just there causing no scene and just relaxing. He essentially told us to leave and made it very uncomfortable to be there. No fault to him, I think he came at us like that because of some bullsh*t that Tina told him to make us sound like unruly customers and thus grouped us into that category. He actually said "why would my coworker lie to me?" Well Bob, she did. I don't know what Tina told you Bob, but you're dealing with a very controlling, manipulative coworker. If you're aware of it, then you're just as bad and shame on you. You (HUB) need to create an environment that is what the creators envisioned, part of the community. If you have managers that cause conflict what is that doing for you? We live locally, and will definitely report this not only to your boss, but our friends and family. We won't be back for our "free" crowlers, and consider your business unethical. Really unfortunate this happened, but I feel this is what Yelp is for, to inform other people of experiences from the community.

Yelp
Wow! Very cool space: open, bright, hip. Their beer is delicious. I tried the Honey Porter, Golden Hammer Lager, and Velvet ESB. My husband tried the Powell IPA. All were great choices. I appreciate the wide variety of beers on tap. I'm not a fan of IPAs, so it's nice to still be able to explore different beers without being limited to just one or two non-IPAs. A huge shout out to this brewery's food. We went twice and both of us ordered different items each time. I can only speak to the food we ordered and consumed: Bomber burger, Juicy Bear pork sandwich, Rocket burger, and the Sunset salad. Everything was so delicious. The flavor combinations were excellent and somewhat creative. Even their dressings (barbecue sauce, ranch, and the balsamic vinaigrette) were house made and incredibly tasty. I'm usually not a huge fan of wedge cut fries, but these were prepared perfectly both times we ordered them. Staff is friendly and helpful. They offer outdoor seating and dogs welcome in this area. It's a great place to experience great beer and food. Kid friendly as well.

Yelp
They took pizza off the menu!!! That was the best thing they had ! I used to go all the time now I don't go at all because everything else is so mediocre! We want the pizza back now!!

Yelp
Great place for families with young kids. We went and got seated on the lower level next to the kids play area. The area had a small kitchen, dinosaurs, magnet tiles and other toys. The kids played and ate and played. Kids menu was great and good sized. Great ipas at the restaurant and canned on site to go. We had a burger and the chicken and chips and it was fantastic. Love this place. I loved the caprese sandwich they had a few months ago and hope they bring it back soon.

Yelp
I was really craving a burger :-) my friend suggested we go here for lunch. I got a bacon cheeseburger with an egg at it on! So delicious :-) good fries as well. Crispy on the outside creamy on the inside. Had a nice Pilsner to wash it down. The service was OK but somewhat inattentive My only beef, LOL, is the burger ended up being $17! I like a good burger but I found this little exorbitant. Probably would not go there again for a burger anyway. Worth a try.

Yelp
This was my first time coming here and I truly enjoyed it. The service was attentive and it wasn't busy when we came in on a Saturday about 4:00. The Rocket burger was delicious and I loved the jojo style fries. They offer them in Cajun and regular. I ordered a blueberry lemonade to drink and the server suggested adding vodka. Don't mind if I do! It was delicious. Ladies, check out the restroom. I loved the mural you can read when looking in the mirror.

Yelp
My daughter, her friend and I were in here a few weeks ago. It was a busy night. We sat in the bar as I met them there. They had been there already about 30 minutes and just getting their beers. I had to wait about another 30 minutes before they came by to take my order just for a drink . We tried to stop a waiter a few times to order food,he literally flashed his hand dismissing us kind of like I'm busy leave me alone . I finally I flagged him down he said can't you see I'm busy .. I understand how it is now a days when you go out I'm fine waiting but at least try to come up and greet your table and tell them I'm really busy, or I'll be with you in just a few minutes . When we finally asked for a check, we had to wait about another 30 minutes. I personally was ready to walk out. I had to walk up to the bar and I had to get another bartender and tell her that we needed our check . I did mention this to the manager on the way out how disappointed I was she said that it was out of character for that bartender. Whatever ,no excuse for his rudeness ,we will never go there again.

Yelp
Beer is good, servers are amazing, the food is to die for, AND it's dog friendly!!! If I could give 500 stars I would!

Yelp
This place is ok. Beers are not too expensive. We ordered happy hour garlic fries and happy hour pizza. Pizza was hot but fries were not that hot. Oh well. The waitress got us some new fries when I asked for some hot ones. The new hot garlic fries were very hot and delicious. This place is always pretty busy. They donate part of the lie profits to charity and they use a lot of organic products. The selection of brews is one of the best in Vancouver. A lot of good local brews and the service is top notch. I will come back here again.

Yelp
Nice large restaurant/pub. Our server and all the other employees that chipped in to seat us, bring our drinks/food and bus the table were very upbeat and friendly. The food menu had a nice variety on it with something for everyone including gluten-free & vegetarian options along with a kid's menu. For their burgers & sandwiches you can change it up & do a regular beef patty, vegetarian black bean patty, vegetarian chik'n patty, local natural chicken breast or Beyond-Burger meatless patty (Beyond-Burger is a $1.50 up charge) which was really nice AND you can choose from their regular bun, make it a wrap, or have it on a gluten-free bun (gluten-free bun is a $2 up charge). For their salads & bowls you have your choice of proteins similar to the options for the burgers/sandwiches. Since we weren't going home right after the Hubs and I opted to share an appetizer and burger so we didn't have to deal with leftovers (and we left stuffed...lots of yummy carbs!). We had the pretzel sticks, which were very good and were brushed with garlic butter and came with a spicy mustard and their ale-cheese sauce for dipping. The burger we shared was the Rojo Burger with the regular beef patty on their pub bun & it was delicious. The Rojo Burger is a bit spicy (I'd say medium-level heat) as it has a sweet chile sauce AND sriracha aioli along with grilled pineapple and a carrot-slaw on top of the burger (so it was a bit messy, too, but delicious!). If you don't want as much heat/spice you might want to ask for just the sweet chile sauce on it & have the sriracha aioli on the side or leave it out entirely. And since we told our server we were sharing the burger they served it already cut in half with the fries portioned out on two separate plates and a pickle spear for each of us. I like it when a place does this for you when they know you are sharing a sandwich as some places just give you an extra plate and have you split it yourself. They, of course, have a long list of beers to choose from & their own beers are very good. They also have their own root beer & whiskey along with a full bar and some wines to choose from. There was a lot of good sounding stuff on the menu and I saw someone else that ordered the Brussels sprouts appetizer, which looked really good, so we definitely want to come back again sometime when we are in the area.

Yelp
They stopped selling pizza. We were regulars but not anymore. Pizza was the best thing on their menu. The other food is so so. The beer is good with the pizza. This is a very bad mistake on their part.

Yelp
This has been a go-to spot for us for beer and pizza. Their pizza is (was) exceptional. They've now changed the menu in order to "focus on hamburgers," according to the waitress, and they've done away with all pizza offerings. Such a bummer. The beer is fine. The food they now serve is just ok. Weird choice to eliminate their most popular offerings. I'm sure their choice comes down to finances, but we won't be back anytime soon.
