A very unique place in a small town. The menu was different but everything we tried tasted very good. No small town burgers here. All ingredients were very fresh and blended well. The teas, served either hot or iced were very different as well but were delicious. Try this place out, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

My daughter and I were in Princeton for the weekend and stopped here for lunch before heading home. It was so worth it! I highly recommend this place, the food was great, the ambiance was perfect, and the hostess was so polite! We are looking forward to coming back in the summer months to enjoy the outdoor seating! They also had an awesome gift shop with a ton of unique items to choose from!

Amazing atmosphere. Great food. I liked the chicken curry salad sandwich. Food is on the pricier side. You order at the counter, then find a table and they will bring your food. There is a covered patio that would be perfect if it happens to rain. We also tried the affogato, which was fantastic! If we’re in town, we’ll be back.

Stopped in on a nice sunny Thursday at open. Super friendly staff helped us with orders and we sat out on the back patio by the river. This place has very nice atmosphere and a mix of music. You could stick this restaurant in any city, Chicago, NY, etc…and it would fit right in and it would be successful, except it’s in Princeton, WI so let’s enjoy. While the menu is not huge, if I can find something to eat, I’m sure most others can as well. I ordered the H-Rad Beef sandwich and my wife had the grilled cheese w/bacon. Both came with a slice of watermelon, some chips and a pickle. We had one of the craft root beers and a lemonade that were in bottles. We finished lunch off with two huge cookies for a treat. It wasn’t too busy this early on a Thursday, so we chatted with one of the staff who recommended their Sunday night live music which sounded fun. Everything about the lunch and atmosphere was great and we will definitely be back. We were referred by some friends and we’ll tell people about it too. A+, 100% on layout, style, food and execution!!!

We came twice in one day. Everything is delicious! The decor, art, & sweet surrounding area are really just too good to describe.

Loved this place. Stumbled upon it while in Princeton on the day before Mother’s Day while with my daughters. One of my daughters has several food allergies but she was able to order right off the menu without all of her usual explanations & specific requests. Her salad was fresh fresh fresh!!!I had caprese sandwich which was fabulous! So glad we found this gem accidentally. Next trip it’s definitely a destination. The atmosphere is so warm, cozy and inviting too. Loved it! My 3 stars for service is because you order at the register but they do bring the food to you. Friendly staff though!

Great food! You order right at the counter and then take a seat to wait. Our group had the curry chicken salad, almost Reuben, and Korean nachos. All were great, and had a unique spin. We also had an affogato, but were disappointed the expresso is made in a Nespresso. Super cool vibe inside, and definitely the best restaurant in Princeton.

Spent a weekend in Princeton for a yoga retreat, and we had all of our meals at Horseradish. There were vegans, vegetarians, meat eaters and gluten free people and everyone was happy and full after each meal. Staff and owners are so sweet and helpful, perfect hosts! Oh yeah, the cocktails are fantastic. I had a really good negroni, which is hard to find! Benny, the black lab, kept everyone happy and engaged. I can't wait to go back to Princeton. Such a great little town and I can't wait to eat again at Horseradish.

I can't believe how good this place is. I ate here hoping for it to be edible and was pleasantly surprised when it is far better than any sandwich restaurant in the Milwaukee area. I mean it's crazy good. The service was extraordinary friendly and the staff made sure your food was exactly how you wanted it. The restaurant itself plays great music, it's super clean and it has an awesome river view. Kinda sad I don't live closer because I would eat here a few times a week. This place is great, worth the drive!

Sooooo cute!!! Healthy food, lots of vegetarian and gluten free. Absolutely delicious only downside is they give you so many potato chips and I have no sled control. Bring money for gift shopping

A friend and I went to lunch at Horseradish and loved it! Great service, excellent food and wonderful atmosphere. The service was helpful and pleasant. The food top notch. I will definitely be back! Nothing but the best at this restaurant plus a wonderful gift shop with unique items.

I only had a cup of coffee in the restaurant but stayed in the Air BnB above the restaurant. The restaurant is so cute and cozy. The eclectic decor makes you feel at home whether it's sitting in the picture window looking out to the street or getting comfy on the screened in porch overlooking the river. The coffee was hot and expertly poured. They are closed on Tue which is was the only day we were free. I wish they opened early so I could have a latte at 7am. There was live music on Sunday night until 9pm-ish. The band was a local family group and drew a great local crowd. The place was so cute and so inviting.

Stopped on our way through to Viroqua. Used Yelp and searched for 'foodie' place. This place is great. Atmosphere was cool-eclectic, with a really good vibe. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. My wife had the Korean nachos and I had the Capri sandwich - both were tremendous! The bartender even gave us a bit of a show on some techniques he's been practicing behind the bar . 100% recommend if you find yourself in Princeton. Well done, Horseradish - - and well done Yelp for the help.

We loved this place so much. Atmosphere is awesome with great views of the river. Loved the open and airy back section! The vegetarian sandwiches were really good! We would definitely come here again!

Great food had the Cuban sandwich which was very tasty and even found birch soda from Vermont there. Will definitely go back there next time in Princeton

Unique with a vision. Horseradish is a gem, among gems on this small strip of town. Sandwiches are elevated to a divine level. The atmosphere of the restaurant is welcoming, light and clean.

Meandered around Princeton today hoping there was a cafe or coffee shop to get a sandwich. Horseradish was the answer! Incredible setting and very cute restaurant, with views of the Fox River and a light and airy feel. I got the Capri sandwich with chips and a bottled lemonade. Everything tasted super fresh and was a perfect lunch portion. Especially good fresh mozzarella and plentiful tomatoes. Only giving four stars as it was a little pricey (likely given the fresh ingredients). I am glad Princeton has a place like this but at about $17 for lunch (including tip), you at least have to know what to expect.

I'm gluten free and their homemade GFree chocolate chip and I think the other cookie is a peanut butter monster cookie they are so good! I stop in sometimes just for a latte and one of those delicious cookies. I personally Love the Cuban sandwich it's my all-time favorite. The ambience in this place is so cozy and warm! It has a cute fireplace, indoor outdoor seating right on the river and to top it off with the icing on the cake, the employees are super friendlyplus plus incredible hand crafted cocktails

Horseradish is amazing and will far exceed your expectations. The food and drink are exceptional but what makes this a truly amazing experience are the people. Everyone is genuine, friendly and provide great service. Horseradish is a must if you're in Princeton.

Great little place. Limited menu but great food. Im a Cuban Sandwich junkie. The Almost Cuban was a nice riff on a traditional one (coleslaw instead of pickle).The ciabatta from a local bakery was fabulous. (The foundation of any great sandwich. ). The Vegan Lentil soup had great flavor with just a hint of curry. If i didn't live 3 hours away would definitely be a go to option. Kudos.

Wonderful little cafe and market offering healthy eats with vegetarian and vegan options! I stopped in for the first time with family and we were all very impressed! The food and service was amazing, and the environment was warm and very inviting! The place has a country cottage feel mixed with modern flare. They also have a beautiful covered open air patio off the back of the cafe where you can enjoy your meal in the sun! I had the Cuban sandwich, and it was incredible! I enjoyed every single bite of my meal! The food was fresh and delicious! We had the chance to meet the owner, and he was a very nice person. His pride and love for his business we're very evident. He prepared our meals personally and still took the time to greet us and all the other patrons in the cafe! I love supporting the smaller local business, so I'm happy that we stumbled upon this gem. We will definitely come back here when in the area again, and I'll be talking this place up to all my foodie freinds! If your in the area or just passing through, this cafe is a must stop. You will have a wonderful experience!

Patio is a wonderful place to spend a summer morning or afternoon. The Cuban, a Frose and a cookie for dessert are a winning combo.

This place is fantastic and we always look forward to coming and grabbing something to eat. Everything from the service, to the food, to the decor is very thoughtfully planned and executed! Love this place and the staff who are always so nice and super helpful. This time I ordered their special which was a Baun- mi on ciabatta bread.... excellent! I hope they put it in their regular rotation! Also, my dining partner got the curry chicken salad which she loved! Can't recommend this place enough. It's a must when you are in the area or visiting.

Not a busy day when I went in. Courteous and friendly greeting as walked in. The place is beautiful with an amazing outdoor seating area looking over the fox river. I ordered the tacos,which took approximately 4 minutes to make. Serve yourself a beer, 2 tacos, 21 bucks. Tacos had great flavor, half a cherry tomato each, avacado and pork, but overall meal wasn't worth half that. Won't see average Joe's in there,that's for sure. Will not be going back.

we were recommended to come here by Leslie across the st. @ Dover Antiques (go there!) and we were not disappointed. the gentleman at the front who took our order was super nice and gave more great recommendations.. the patio was beautiful as well as the inside of the restaurant. the frosé was super good! the food came out in less than ten minutes, and it was not lacking! overall i would come back here everyday if i could!

I can't tell you how much we enjoy Horseradish Kitchen and Market. You know as you walk in the door you have arrived somewhere special. The atmosphere is fun with a touch of funky. Plenty of seating indoors and on the screeched porch out back. The menu has a number of mainstays that are truly exceptional. There are even several items for a Kids' Menu, as well. We love bringing guests here for an unexpected and delicious meal. Did I mention the cocktails? They can certainly whip you up a standard or an amazing creation of their own. Matt and Scotty always make us feel welcome and keep us coming back for more. Do yourself a favor and stop by...just be sure to check their hours first, so you don't wind up disappointed.

What a gem of a restaurant! We love this place!! Great salads and sandwiches and an awesome atmosphere and deck. If you're feeling frisky their margarita is really good.

This restaurant has DELICIOUS food! I'm so glad we found this spot! The patio has great ambiance with a nice view of the river. I also appreciated that they have gluten free bread for their sandwiches. Overall my group has a great time here and really enjoyed our food :)

We had a work dinner here. We started with curry artichoke dip and bacon water chestnuts that were to die for. Next we enjoyed a carrot ginger soup that was amazing along with beautiful presentation. We had to protein options to choose from chicken or salmon. I chose salmon. The salmon was very moist and full of flavor. We finished with a chai dessert that was heaven in your mouth. The view of the river is absolutely stunning.

If you're going to go to any restaurant in Green Lake County, make it HORSERADISH. The thing I love most about this beautiful setting is that they have something for everyone. For people like me and my husband, a big juicy steak and fries is just the thing, but my daughter loves that they have vegetarian choices. Also, my son is gluten-free and it was wonderful to hear that they offer gluten-free. It's so nice to have a restaurant that the whole family can agree on! This place is not a chain and it never feels like it. The art on the wall is frankly bizarre and the chef likes to meet people and learn their names. They utilize Local resources with is VERY important to us. I've seen college kids, families and couples all come to this fun and friendly beautiful place and the patio overlooking the river is to die for. Basically, the food is great, the servers are friendly and you won't have to sell your kids into slavery to get a delicious meal with generous proportions. 5 stars!

Nestled among the small quaint shops of Princeton Wisconsin you will discover a fantastic culinary gem called Horseradish. Chef Matt Trotter parked his well known food truck for a cute cozy eatery along the Fox River. The lunchtime sandwich selections are excellent utilizing the freshest ingredients and most delicious breads. The view of the river from the porch is nothing short of spectacular. They also offer fresh made cocktails and ice cold wines in a can to get your booze on!! Looking forward to an evening meal experience real soon. See you on the porch this spring having a Martini and watching the river flow by.

Korean Nachos are to die for! So glad they are open during COVID. They aren't making soups right now but I hope they begin to soon!

Just had the bowl special (chimi churi i think he called it?) at Horseradish and could not be happier with the flavors and textures of that fresh food freshly prepared. Grilled chicken, sprouts, avocado, tomato, marinated onions, chimichuri I guess, some type of light tasty sauce...more I don't recall. All so delicious! My husband had the curried chicken sliders which he thoroughly enjoyed. We ate on the screen porch over the river. 5 STARS!

My husband and I have enjoyed the delicious food and great atmosphere at the Horseradish many times during the summer of 2019. It never disappoints! Today we stopped in on a cool October Saturday afternoon for a warm cup of mocha while we played cribbage at one of the hightop tables. The servers were welcoming and friendly. We stayed right up to the new off-season closing time of 4:00. We will continue to support this great addition to the area!

Started as a small food truck I hear, Amazon good, nice people, fair prices and nice atmosphere to hang out in without feeling pressure with a semi self serve format. Next time I'm in Princeton I look forward to being able to try something new off their menu to help support more small local businesses like them.

Surprisingly good food for downtown Princeton! Well worth a visit from out of town. Had the carnitas tacos (daily special) and the Kinda Cuban. Ordered at the front register and food arrived in about 15 minutes. Pretty busy Friday afternoon, but the inside seating was pretty empty as everyone wanted to enjoy the river view on the patio. Excellent service and food was remarkable! Will be going back for sure!

We enjoyed the Kinda Cuban, Armie, and Capri sandwiches - best ever! Thrilled to have this new restaurant in the beautiful Green Lake area. Way to go Matt & Alex!

A million stars. Everything is delicious and the new build-out is just an oasis. I'm so delighted that the doors are open and they appear to be busy. I hope Horseradish lives in Princeton for a very long time.

We had never had a chance to go to the food truck last summer, so we were excited to hear they were opening a restaurant. Last weekend we had the chance to bring ourselves and two other friends' families from out of town here and we were so glad! Every sandwich we had was fantastic. I was worried when I saw the kids' grilled cheese with "white cheese" as my son is picky about the color of his cheese, but he ate it without a hesitation. So yummy. The only thing we had even the littlest complaint about was the salad greens, we like a little more than oil (and a smidge of vinegar?!) on our salads. Maybe they could have an option for a dressing? Besides that it was wonderful! Will definitely be going back! Great to have another good restaurant in the area.

You definitely don't want to miss this great lunch spot in Princeton. It has a great atmosphere and the food is wonderful. We tried the chicken salad, caprese sandwich and a House salad and were very happy with all of our choices. The staff is fantastic. We will definitely be back soon. Not to mention, the town of Princeton is very quaint.

Excellent place for lunch; beautiful atmosphere a long the fox river, the Food, oh my the food. I've never had a curried chicken salad sandwich, Like the one I had here. Farm fresh ingredients. It's like something I would find in the big city with lots or charm. I'll be back again.

Stopped in after church today for lunch. My husband had the cuban sandwich, and I had the chic curried salad. Both, were fabulous! Definitely going back. Great service, friendly staff. I look forward to next summer being able to go on deck. In the meantime, very comfortable and pleasing inside as well.

Awesome place - we were in Green Lake for vacation and this was well worth the trip. The service was terrific as well.

After many recommendations we were very disappointed with this restaurant. Menu is very limited and live music is mediocre at best. Do not order the Korean nachos! They were so extremely hot they were inedible. When we voiced our opinion to the owner who cashed out our bill his response was only, sorry, there's nothing on our menu that's real hot. Maybe he needs to taste what he's serving! It's too bad because Princeton needs these niche businesses.
