A peaceful getaway… to be rescheduled!
We were looking forward to a relaxing stay, but were disappointed to have the only room located above the back kitchen, with a direct view of the bistro’s patio. We arrived at 11:30 p.m. and were greeted by music, the noise of servers right below our window, clinking cutlery… We were told it would quiet down between midnight and 1 a.m., but it was hard to unwind in those conditions.
Taking a nap during the day was also impossible — lunchtime at the bistro brings the same level of noise.
Definitely avoid Room 37, especially in summer, unless you want to live to the rhythm of the bistro! And if possible, don’t be the last to arrive, like we were…
It’s a real shame, because the place itself is stunning, the room was very comfortable, and the service was impeccable. Special mention to the concierge, who organized visits to local wineries and even stored our bottles until departure.
The spa, on the other hand, was a true haven of peace — exactly the kind of atmosphere we had hoped for throughout the stay.
