"The tradition of hospitality is kept alive in this elegant house situated in the middle of extensive grounds dissected by a river. Here, chef Philippe Augé creates carefully prepared, seasonal cuisine based on classic principles, resulting in dishes such as green Acquerello risotto with frogs’ legs and Burgundy snails, and blue lobster with aubergine moussaka and a coriander and lemongrass shellfish jus. Make sure you save space for the cheese platter which includes over forty different varieties! A wine tasting cellar and shop complete the picture." - Michelin Inspector

Find out why at the intimate Hostellerie de Levernois, a 10-minute drive outside Beaune, where there’s a Michelin-starred restaurant on site and just 22 rooms and four apartments; the oldest parts of this country mansion date back to 1750." - Eleanor Aldridge

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property. The hotel and grounds are beautiful and impeccably maintained. Our accommodation was in the villa overlooking the pool - we loved our suite and the private deck! We also enjoyed walking the grounds which are stunning. |Service here is fantastic - every person we encountered was cheerful, professional and so helpful. The bar area is beautiful and we enjoyed the recommendations from the sommelier. This property is outside of downtown and yet close enough to drive there within minutes. After long days of touring and wine tasting we decided to dine on site and loved both restaurants. The Michelin restaurant is especially good with great service. The more rustic restaurant has equally good food, just more relaxed. Both restaurants will bring a wine menu that is so extensive you may seek the advice of the experts on site — we did and were very happy!|Breakfast in the morning was excellent. Eggs are made to order and there is a lovely buffet. |We loved our stay here. This property absolutely lives up the reputation of a Relais & Chateaux property!

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Everything was excellent, yet relaxed – not overly luxurious, which is exactly to my liking. I must congratulate the designer not only for the impeccable taste in decoration but also for keeping things authentic, such as the real wooden floors and doors, as well as the carefully selected artwork and magazines. The restaurant was superb, with an excellent wine list. However, one area that could be improved, as it doesn't quite match the rest of the hotel’s high standards, is the quality of the coffee. Both the coffee at dinner (which was mediocre) and the Nespresso machine in the room (which doesn’t quite meet the expectations of a 5-star hotel with a gastronomic restaurant) could be better.

I would like to commend the comfortable rooms and the hotel’s cleanliness. One reviewer noted, “Comfortable room and very friendly and obliging staff.”The hotel’s dining options are highly praised. The Michelin-starred restaurant, La Table de Levernois, offers high-quality cooking. The property features a swimming pool and an organic and biodynamic vegetable garden, enhancing the guest experience. Hostellerie de Levernois offers a luxurious and memorable stay, combining elegant accommodations, exceptional dining, and attentive service in a serene setting.

We stayed here for four nights at the beginning of September.|Loved the place. Weather was above average, which was wonderful.|Food and wine were incredible.|We stayed at the newer wing on the ground floor, which afforded our own patio about 50 yards from the pool entrance.|Very comfortable incredible pillows.|Everyone was so pleasant.|Alizee who helped with the original booking was so pleasant.|The concierge at our building Pablo was incredibly helpful, he is everything you would expect and more from that role.|Ladies who cleaned rooms were so polite.|The stone Patio where we would have our first glass of wine in the evening was my favorite place to hang out after a day of walking and lying by the pool.|Margo one of the bartenders at the patio bar was so well versed in wine, she was wonderful as was Francois.|The staff at breakfast were so wonderful and pleasant.|Food was truly wonderful; we ate at Bistro twice and at Table de Levernois once.|Wine selection was off the charts.|Cannot wait to return.

We have stayed for 5 days in this wonderful property. We left with the feeling of having lived a unique hotel experience. If there is one feature of our global satisfaction to be mentioned, we definitely think of the genuinely warm presence of the staff, at all levels of the organisation.

Our group enjoyed three nights at the Hostellerie de Levernois and we all agreed it perfectly fits the description of a luxury French country inn. Great service. Excellent food. Comfortable rooms. The staff was friendly and efficient. The pool was a nice respite after touring or biking for the day. I would highly recommend the Hostellerie de Levernois.

It is a lovely property with excellent service, but I wish some things could be improved. We stayed during the "shoulder season," hoping to avoid loud children, but the pool at this property (as well as the lovely green between the pool and many of the rooms) was overrun by screaming children most of the time, and there're no designated "adult hours." There was also a persistent issue with hot water in our shower; the first afternoon, there was no hot water at all, and the second day there was hot water at the sinks, but only lukewarm in the shower. Another issue for us was that breakfast in the breakfast room ended at 10:30 and it was impossible to linger over coffee after that time because the staff would demonstrably clear tables and the room essentially indicating that we had to leave. For a luxury non-business hotel to shut the breakfast room at 10:30 is odd to say the least. Finally, the prices for food and wine at the hotel were marked up beyond all reasonable expectations even for a 5-star property. All that said, we had a lovely time and likely would return.
