Hostellerie Du Grunewald

We stayed at the Hostellerie du Grunewald for 3 nights and booked a superior room, located in the second floor. The room was clean and spacious and equipped with kettle and a Dyson fan. As the hotel is in a historic building, there is no air condition, but that's not a problem. ||Great welcome by the employee at the reception, who spoke many languages which made the check in a friendly experience.||The breakfast buffet was good, not a huge choice, but everything there, what I expected...||Good hotel for a short stay a bit outside of the city center, with free parking at the train station nearby and free buses that lead to the city (line 10 and 11) - getting into town is very easy.

A culinary experience from the beginning till the end. The people working there make you feel welcome since the moment you arrive! The food is great, the ratio price/food puts it in the costy side but if you have the opportunity, a good place to spend a nice evening.

My experience was great. Room and amenities was as pictured and as expected. I had an experience with good service. Maybe a downside if your an American used to AC is that the room did not have AC, they provided a fan. Restaurant attached was beautiful, it is a pricey top notch restaurant some come prepared to shell it out!

The terrace is incredibly beautiful in the summer. Super quiet and tastefully decorated. Almost feels like a little escape from the city, while still being located quite central. The staff is always absolutely lovely, very friendly and welcoming. The cocktails are great. The food is very delicious.

Lovely hotel at a reasonable price (for Luxembourg), well located just at the train station and 10 min into the city. Beds are very comfortable and rooms are big. Only thing missing is a mini fridge.

This isn't my initial visit to the restaurant, but on this occasion, I was somewhat let down by the service. While the food was fine, the service fell short. Our waiter seemed to overlook us, despite arriving before several other tables, and we were the last to be served. Towards the end of the meal, there was no one available to return our coats, and we had to wait, eventually deciding to retrieve them ourselves from the vestibule. It seems that the attention has shifted to their new establishment, the 'Chef's Table.'

I had the pleasure of staying at Hostellerie Du Grunewald for three nights, and it was truly a delightful experience. The rooms were not only comfortable but also exuded a charming ambiance that made us feel right at home. One of the highlights of our stay was the fantastic breakfast corner. Each morning, we were treated to a delicious and varied selection of breakfast items that set a positive tone for the rest of our day. Hostellerie Du Grunewald exceeded our expectations in every way, and we would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a memorable and cozy getaway in the great city of Luxemburg. We look forward to returning in the future!

My husband and myself and guests had a wonderful time here. This place is super well run with an exceptional kitchen at breakfast lunch and dinner. It was always fully booked. The large quiet garden is one of the best feature in the warmer season with atmospheric dinner throughout. It is full of Luxembourg locals who come to dine and everyone knows what fussy food lovers they are. We will be back.
