"This 18C sandstone former convent chants a pure-bred Gallic culinary litany based on regional produce (rack of lamb from the Moselle meadows, fillet of Lorraine beef) and seafood (brill, line-caught whiting, scallops). The portions are generous and the desserts by Maeva (the owners’ daughter) are divinely decadent, illustrated by her Grand Marnier-flavoured strawberry soup. Charming welcome." - Michelin Inspector
Last minute booking on-site because nearby camping was closed. Friendly welcome and reasonable price. Standard rooms, a little outdated from the 80s. Clean at first sight but a little dusty. Located at a typical square, not fancy but parking possible in front of the entrance. Hotel is approximately 50 meters from the restaurant which we didn't visit.

Good value for money, the beds are like marshmallows , too soft for my liking.
But the reason we stayed here 2 nights was the restaurant ! Fantastic food and chef.

On a trip through the Voges we chose to stay here for two nights after doing extensive research in the area.
The room was fine but that was not why we chose to stay here. It was for the food.
Our trip of 37 days was all based on food. Most of our choices were booked 6 months in advance and included mostly Michelin rated and starred Restaurants.
This restaurant was by far the friendliest which was lovely. But above all the food was made with love and skill.
If you are planning a trip in the Voges then you would do well to come here as your first choice. Our two exceptional meals were excellent in every respect. Congratulations to a family who know how to cook and deliver wonderful flavours. We considered ourselves very lucky and will definitely return. I promise.

1 They didn’t tell me when I booked that the restaurant would be closed. |2 Dreadful smells in the area. Bad sewage I think.|3 Smallest bath/shower room I’ve ever seen. |4 Toilet so small I couldn’t sit down and close the door.
