"This heritage country mansion, gleaming with classy elegance, will take your breath away. Both the surrounding countryside and the stylish guestrooms are exquisite. The cordon bleu chef allows the (preferably local) ingredients to shout their name, whilst seeking to generously and delicately enhance their traditional flavours. Don’t miss the game in season." - Michelin Inspector

Everything was great for us! The staff were all polite and friendly, and the location was perfect-especially with our dog. (If you walk your dog on the hotel grounds, just be sure to clean up after them.) We had a lovely view from the window and the hotel is clearly very well cared for. There were some animals outside, which made it even more charming. The dog fee is €20( as of 2025) and includes bowls and a bed, which was a nice touch. We'll definitely be coming back!

Beautiful hotel and cozy elegant rooms, in a nice location; however there’s not much to do there unless you are looking to pay a hefty price for a fixed 4 or 6 courses menu for dinner, and extra costs to use the sauna or other facilities.

A very special weekend away to cycle liege-bastonge-liege. Excellent and very friendly hosts that made a very special effort for our family, their standard of service was very high. Delicious breakfast and dinner, we enjoyed the chef's creativity very much. We had a beautiful view from our room overlooking the pool and lovely gardens, just stunning. The room was a very nice size and we were able to sit outside on the balcony and enjoy the morning sunshine and the peaceful setting. All-in-all, a perfect weekend away for our family of 5 and we would highly recommend Lafarques for a peaceful break away.

We spent two nights here, with our (adult) children and we all thought it was a very nice place. It's a lovely building, and although it's old and a little dated, we still liked the style of it. ||||We even brought our two pugs with us, and I'm sure they had a great time too ;) ||The garden and surroundings are just beautiful, it was nice to make a little stroll there every morning and night with the dogs. ||||We stayed in a big suite on the ground floor. The interior was very classic but in our opinion it was nice, only the (enormous) bathroom can need a brushup. ||||We thought the staff was very kind, and helpful, and we loved the Lafarques restaurant. We had two delicious dinners there; the chef was fantastic and we liked the personal touch that he came to the table to tell us all about the different courses. ||||If you need a hotel, in that part of the Ardennen, we surely can recommend it.

Excellent quality of the services ! From the whole staff that is very professional and convenient in regards of the client's needs, to the great taste in the decor, the rooms and the cosiness of the place. From breakfast to dinner, everything is highly studied and thoroughly thought of by the chef. A true jewel in the Wallonian woods ! We're looking forward to returning again !

Unique hospitality, comfort and luxury and at the same time amazing cuisine!!! We have been here before and we knew the superb experience that this place offers especially in the hotel restaurant, the chef and the service staff are incomparable! You usually find this type of art and taste in you plate, in famous city centre restaurants and it is a great surprise to enjoy it in the middle of the Arden woods This time although was even more surprising experience as we had the chance to receive their exceptional generosity and care. Due to weather conditions we could not reach the hotel and not only they came to us to find a solution but they also served us an amazing dinner at 23.00 at night and offered us one of the best room that they have. The most impressive was the their attitude. They ALL handled this difficult situation with a non stopping genuine smile. We are leaving the place with the best memories and definitely we will be back soon. Big thank you

First thing that met us when arriving at Lafarques was a goat standing by the entrance, warmly welcoming us to this rural hotel :) ||||The hotel is small, with 8 rooms only (= few guests = quiet). A large restaurant is located on the ground floor, which gives the feeling that it is more a restaurant that also has accommodation possibilities than the other way around. Which isn't a bad thing. We stayed at a beautiful room overlooking the the lawns (with small balcony). The bathroom was stunning!! And the beds were supersoft! ||||The hotel is well- kept (a gorgeous building), clean and tranquile. Beautiful nature surrounding the property! The restaurant has a set menu for dinner, at a very affordible price for the quality you get. Please note that the staff speaks very little English, which can be a challenge. Especially for dinner. But we managed to ask the sommelier to select a wine for us - which he did to perfection!||||The breakfast in simple and good!

This is really a magnificent place. You drive up a quite steep hill to get to the hotel. It's a new team managing the place, and they really do their best to make it a good stay for customers. The staff is very friendly and professional yet also relaxed and down to earth. The restaurant is absolutely fantastic with an impressive wine card. Our room was wonderful worth a great view over the park behind the place. We will definitely come back.
