Hot Box Next Level Kitchen

Located inside Southern Strain Brewery, this "order and pickup-at-the- window" eatery is like an indoor food truck. Limited menu, but delicious! They text you when your food is ready and they don't skimp on the serving size, either. The wings flavor I chose was quite savory. The food paired nicely with the Oktoberfest beers we chose from the bar at Southern Strain.

We had lunch here on a Saturday. The staff was super friendly especially the cashier/order-taker. I ordered the tijuana mac and cheese with shrimp. It had a good kick of spiciness. The shrimps were cooked to perfection. We also shared a red velvet cookie. It was great. One of the chefs came out and checked on us. Great food, you will not be disappointed! The outside sort of looks like an old brick building but the inside looks great.

The food is amazing! The risotto fritters are delicious. My go to meal is the Smoked/Grilled Chicken Sandwich. I just recently tried the Eggs Benedict and it was to die for! Jamie’s desserts are highly addictive too! 10/5 Highly recommend!

Everything I’ve ever tried here has been delicious! The shining star is the risotto fritters. So crunchy and flavorful! Everything is always fresh tasting. For such a small place, they have a variety of choices. My husband loves their burgers and their wings are huge! I love that we can also grab a beer at southern strain too!

Somebody please tell me why does this establishment have to be a 30 plus minute drive from me ? I promise you if this place was closer to my side of town I would go often ! They are located inside of a food hall in Concord , black owned and very laid back casual environment. You will see lots of customers outside on a nice day enjoying their food on the picnic benches. Hotbox has some of the best chicken around . The chicken is fried to a crispy golden perfection every time . You can't go wrong with any of the sides . If someone hears my cry we need one of these in Charlotte asap please and thank you lol !

Very friendly staff. I'd like to come back and try some other items as I saw them preparing some meals and it all looks very fresh. I had the risotto fritters and they tasted great! I can't pass up risotto and I've never had it as a fritter. Neat concept.

Best Sunday Brunch! Live jazz and special brunch menu every Saturday and Sunday! Chicken tenders are perfection. Dusted wings are a favorite. Burger is on point. Deviled eggs hit the spot if you’re looking for a snack. Freshly baked cookies - like you order them and then Hot Box BAKES them! So fresh and delightful! I recommend Hot Box with a Southern Strain beer and enjoying on a patio!

Chef Mike is the real deal. Anything this man puts on a plate is gold. I came to Southern Strain Brewing for the beer but now I come just to have Hotbox because it truly is a next level kitchen. The menu is ever evolving and everything is amazing ingredients with a unique take of the flavors. I highly reccomend the Risotto Fritters and the Smoked chicken sandwich. With that being said I have had majority of the items on the menu and you cant go wrong with any option. Sunday is always a unique menu as well so theres always something unique for beerunch. Trust me, Hot Box is the real deal so definitely check it out.
