Soooo, this sounds like the grossest, most obviously named thing ever. But, in fact it's like the Dom Perignon of the corn dog world. For some reason its been impressed upon me that Fletchers corn dogs at the Texas State Fair were the apex of corn-dogness. But, I gotta say that Hot Dog On A Stick CRUSHES Fletchers with the first bite.
It's the ultimate mall food court "restaurant", a limited menu of counter serviceable items that are ready fast. Every hot dog on a stick is made to order, with some perfect recipe of batter quantity, heat and time in the oil to produce a perfectly crispy, moist, and exceptionally delicious corn bread covered frank on a stake. They are a little pricey for the quantity of food you get. But, MAN I could not stop ordering them and enjoyed then so much that I wasn't even worried about it.
Apparently, HDOAS used to be in Texas and isn't anymore. My gf is so in love with these skewered weenies that we diverted into Albuquerque on our road trip to the Grand canyon in order to enjoy it. Maybe it's good it's not local to Fort Worth anymore as I think I'd have no defense against it if I knew one was nearby. With only three locations in Texas, this is unlikely. Californians, though. Look out. Try it at your peril!
