Well I stood at the window to order. Who ever was working looked at me. Kept writing stuff down. Never said a word. Then went to the back and still didn’t say anything to me…. Stood there long enough to know I didn’t wanna eat there. Then left… sad, was excited to try it out…. Horrible customer service for me 11/22/25

Kaylin was best ever so nice and friendly instead of turning me away she helped right before closing. Definitely will be back again because of her great service and smile :)

Yes, it's been years and years and years and years! Finally broke down and visited one of the last of the original vendors here at the old Fox Hills mall. Only three remain. Jcpenney, See's candy, and yours truly, Hot Dog on a Stick. And while only JCPenney and sees remain in their original locations, at least hot dog on a stick still has a presence here. LP greeted me with a great personality, and informed me of the current specials, and proceeded to offer up some delicious beef dogs (two for $7.99), or something close to that. This young man was doing it by himself, and had quite a line both in front of me, and those behind me. He did it all with a smile too. It had at least been 10 to 12 years since I last got a hot dog here. I'm glad I stopped through, and look forward to grabbing another few dogs before the holiday season is out.

Back in the day we used to get corn dogs (freshly cooked) and lemonade so when I happened to see this spot in this mall I had to get a lemonade! It did not disappoint on a hot day! Just perfect! Kind friendly service at a great location. Wish there was one near by..

The workers are great!! However this place is infested with roaches and was a roach on the counter 11/18/2025. Nobody wants to eat at a FOOD restaurant with roaches crawling on the counters. Do Better!! The manager Jay never seems to be around for him to be a "manager".

The staff is so nice and sweet. They food is done in like 3min and they talk to you while you wait. Everytime I pass they are always laughing having a good time I love it. I swing by just to say Hi.

As a vegan my sister Annie and I were so happy to see Hot Dog on a Stick now offers a cruelty free (Vegan) hot dog ! And we love the lemonade ! And Small J is a great employee. Very professional, welcoming, friendly and hard working employee !

Food is fresh made by the manager, with a smile!!!! He keeps the shop clean, attending immediately to anything a customer sees needing attention!! This place is worth repeat visits when at the mall!!!!!

Hot Dog on a Stick at this location truly impressed me! I ordered the sampler with Pepper Jack, American, and Turkey dogs, along with two cherry lemonades, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The cherry lemonades were the perfect balance of sweet and tart. What really stood out was Jalons' excellent customer service--friendly, attentive, and welcoming from start to finish. This location far exceeded my experiences at the South Bay Galleria. Highly recommend for a quick, tasty bite with great service!

I don't go to Hot Dog on Stick often, but sometimes I need a quick refresher. I was welcomed by Emerald, with a smile and poised demeanor. I placed my order just a refreshing lemonade, that was made by Carl. Although the business was booming with hot dogs being slayed all over the place, the team seemed to be supported by Jerome. I will go back before I leave the mall for a hot dog. If any of you are in Culver City mall, please stop by to be refreshed.

Customer service is TERRIBLE. I completely understand hiring youth but please ensure they have customer service skills to run your business. Emerald (an employee) shouldn't be the first point of contact you have upon ordering.

In the mall by target, Quick. Beef dogs, Good tasting. Workers were a little too laid back.

I've visited this place twice recently, including today. My visit today (around 6:30pm) made me reconsider whether I wanted to get food from here in the future. I ordered two Pepperjack Cheese on a Stick and a lemonade. The cashier seemed okay, but the food prep worker made me feel concerned. The first thing I noticed about the food prep worker was that her mask wasn't sitting on her face correctly (her mask covered her mouth, but not her nose). I then noticed the worker itch her scalp with her fingernail and then start cleaning a table. The worker did not wash her hands after touching her scalp or cleaning. She ended up serving me and my companions food without first cleaning her hands. I did not complain in person about what I had witnessed the food prep worker do, but I left feeling very uncomfortable and disgusted. I hope someone in management sees this post and can talk to the workers about what not to do when preparing and serving food. The service at this location in the past has been mostly good, but I really don't want to see what I did today again.

I wanted to get a lemonade from here today at 5:20pm however, the young man who was working the cash register did not have on a mask and his coworkers seemed unfazed. Considering that California law states you must wear a mask it is concerning that he was not, not only as a patron but as a worker.

Service at this location was okay. It seemed that either their process was slow or they were understaffed. The cashier looked overwhelmed because she had to cook the food and ring people up. The line backed up because while she was preparing the persons food no one would be at the register. There was another person there, but she was making more lemonade. The food here is reminiscent of my elementary school lunch. The hot dog is okay, but the cornbread batter is pretty good! Overal, id probably go to a grocery store and buy the frozen kind then heat it up myself.

The young lady and the man that was working at the front where very rude they were not approachable, did not greet me in a proper way... he threw my bag on the counter, as if he didn't care, neither one of them were smiling, or a very grateful I guess my character intimidated her and him.... I guess I was too friendly and too polite, I wouldn't recommend coming to this location...

While strolling through Westfield Culver City I stopped by Hot Dog in A Stick and decided to relive a part of my youth with two Hot Dog on Stick and a lemonade. I chose two beef dogs and I was pleased with the cooked to order dogs served piping hot with mustard, a simple tasty and satisfying treat. The lemonade was very quenching and tasty. The two employees weee were friendly and kept their store sparkling clean. I was throughly pleased after my meal.

Hot Dog On A Stick is one of my go-to spots when I go to the mall. The two people at the counter try their absolute hardest to serve people. I got two beef corn dogs and a small fries. Both were great and still warm even when I got home. Great place for when you want to get some salty food.

*** HDOAS is a modern throwback to the 50s. *** Store design is attractively bright, upbeat, their cashiers' uniforms are cute and they make some fresh lemonade too. All of that is kinda special imo. And that is exactly what drew my kid's attention b/c he begged me to stop here when we left Target. +1 star for a unique styling scheme in a mall. However, I cannot boast about their food. ;( My kid was underwhelmed. He is picky. *** Btw Target's food is worse; it's atrocious! ***

Do not eat here.. these Young employees don't wear their mask or they keep pulling it down with the gloves they are handling the Food and drinks with!! And no management to tell them anything! It's disgusting

So I get in line behind someone else at 8:30pm and stood there for about 5 minutes wondering what's going on because no one is behind the counter. Me and the person in front of me started wondering what we should do and I told him I was about to go into the kitchen but didn't because I'd probably get into trouble so we just stood there for another 5 minutes. Around 8:40pm this girl comes out from the back and with an attitude tells us they're closed. It was almost like she was mad at us because they were closed. I was not happy because I just stood there for 10 minutes and then I get an attitude and told they were closed. I looked at the time and it was 8:40pm so I checked the store hours and it says they are open until 9:00pm. I decided to take a picture of the hours and the time and attach it to the review. I don't know who manages or owns this location but repeatedly I am greeted with an attitude by the girls that work there. I chose now to write a review because it really bothered me this time.

Not just their fault but postmates too... I would never postmate this kind of food but because I'm injured and I have kids over I did. The bag was torn all over to start. (Double bag larger order next time.) They gave me limeade INSTEAD of light lemonade. The two cheese sticks were smashed in between the other corn dogs. They weren't cooked well either. The fries were hard and cold. If I could get a refund from postmates I would. Trying to talk to someone @Hotdog was a waste of a phone call just trying to find out if my driver had picked up the order (tracking him wasn't working)...they were so rude! Never. Again. EVER!

Hot dog on a stick never gets old. I love that they have Turkey dogs since I don't eat beef or pork. Just left and Jerome, Carl and Heaven were such a delight! The BEST customer service! Thanks guys!

I love that they have veggie dogs! They taste like regular meat corn dogs. The ketchup and mustard bottle pumps could definitely use a wipe down. And this was a first - We got to the bottom of our regular sized fries and found stuffed paper taking up almost half of the cup.

Coral and Leo were absolutely amazing. Best costumer service I have received at this spot. They were both friendly and and had very good attitude.

This was the worst servicer ever. Ordered Funnel cake sticks and they give 12 little French fry looking funnel cakes. Girl was extremely rude and the young kid was clueless. Then the people behind me got a huge cup gull. Makes you wanna go hmmmmmm

Took around 20 min to get our order. All we ordered was a sampler platter. Which was 4 stock items fries and funnel cake. Somehow people kept coming in and receiving their food before us. I suggest ordering less than 4 items at this place if you want to get your food before everybody else.

HOT DOG ON A STICK IS GOING BANKRUPT? who doesn't love HOT DOG ON A STICK?? well, i know someone who doesn't, but if his wardrobe is any indication of good taste, then he ain't got it! aside from the cool history of the little hut on the beach, and being part of the mall memories that gave life meaning to this Valley Girl, HDOS does have some yummy grub. while i mostly avoid composite meat, i do remember the tasty FRESH CORN DOGS that came out of their fryer. I still love their PEPPER JACK CHEESE ON A STICK, and their cold, FROSTY LEMONADE has no equal, as far as i'm concerned. just the right sweetness and flavor. so what could be the problem? it's a little PRICEY. a LARGE LEMONADE is $3.67 OTD (in SaMo it would be even higher). the bankruptcy has been attributed to high lease costs. maybe they oughtta try LOWERING their prices...? in any event, get your favorite items while you can! happy Yelping and here's to tasting life! :)

This place is located right outside of the Culver City Target inside the mall. They leave the lemonade uncovered every night. WARNING - DO NOT GET LEMONADE!!! The health department gave them an A???? Maybe they should go there after hours????? This is beyond disgusting!

I wish I could give this place 0 stars.. Came here today at 8:45 for some lemonade and the Latina girl behind the counter told me they were closed, I was like I thought y'all closed at 9:00. She was like we do but we decided to close early. I walked away and watch a white lady come after me ask to order and they told her they was closed. She started acting all Karen and asked for the manager, which they said they didn't have one. They end up serving the lady a lemonade and free of charge. I already got a drink from across the way because they are actually following the time and closed at 9:00.. I told her it wasn't a fair you served her and not me and I came way before her. Then this black girl jumped in and was like we tired so we closed early. What kind of mess is that? I wish the young black dude was there he always gives great services.. They need to get some people that want to work.

I watched a woman handle money and then prepare food. Isn't that contamination. Unfortunately they have these young people working without proper training. I was totally disgusted at what I saw. Please train your food handlers

Typical Hot Dog on a Stick. Hot Corn Dogs, hot crispy fries, not too sweet lemonade. There is a bit of a wait especially if they have a line. I really like the pepper jack cheese stick. Service is ok. I feel the prices are a bit high for the combo. Pretty much $9 for a corn dog, fries and a drink. I know hot dogs, the batter, potatoes and their drinks don't even add up to $1. They're making bank. Oh well. Fast food nation. Lol

My first time in Los Angeles California I went to a mall called Westfield Culver City mall and I went to this place in the mall and the management was so horrible she act like she did not want to be there then she "accidentally " charged me three times for one thing and got mad at me for her being wrong . I would never go to this place again worst experience ever.

Cashier doesn't greet you it looks like they don't want to work there. I requested for my food to be placed inside of a bag and if I could please have muster to go. The cashier person said we no longer have packages.

This review is management!!!!!! How are you going to schedule ONE person for the Sunday during lunchtime shift during holiday shopping. That literally makes no sense to me. The guy working did great at trying to balance the busy shift and frustrations of angry customers. Management sucks!

Ughhh! Maybe something is wrong with me, but this was nasty! It's not my type of food:( I peeled off the corn batter stuff! Greasy fried dipped turkey dogs that are gross. Salty. I had a good experience at this Hot Dog on a Stick. I haven't had a corn dog since like 1997 and it was everything I wanted and more :) I was impressed by the young man behind the register. I don't know his name but he has long, dark hair in a ponytail and braces. I must've seen him wash his hands 4 times to make each order, and despite the line getting long he did not get flustered. He was friendly and seem focused. I guess I'm so used to kids behind the register being mostly bored and not taking pride in their work and this kid felt genuinely focused. My corn dogs were good right out of the fryer.

cash only!!!!! Because the fucking machine is down. What kinda BS is that. While i usually enjoy their food, they get 1 star because that's just unacceptable!! And the cashier couldn't be anymore unsympathetic about it!!!

I try to buy something here every visit but they close the store whenever they want or don't abide by any health code. Not sure why these young adults don't bother to wear their masks, don't wear them properly, or wash their hands. It's unfortunate that their lack of care for health safety deters customers like me from trying their food.

Mad dog employee with black and purple extensions.. a bit of unsolicited advice: SMILE! I came to order food with my children this week and you looked like you didn't want to be bothered. It almost made me not want to buy food. You didn't say more than necessary, you didn't offer me a drink which made me forget to buy one and your attitude was so off putting. If you don't want to churn lemons and fry hot dogs get a new job. Other than that, you didn't have a pump ketchup so handed me some dirty packets and your fries area was a mess. You rang me up and just dug your hand in the fry bag. There were frozen fries all over the counter. Buck up and clean up.

Love me some Hot Dog on a Stick! Lemonade = bomb. Hot dog on a stick = batter coated goodness. Cheese on a stick = God is good. Hot Dog on a Stick will always hold a special place in my heart.

Just like old times. Taste just like it always has. Corn dogs made fresh while you wait. And lemonade was cold and sweet. Glad there was not a long line otherwise I might have moved on.
