I gotta be honest, this is THE WORST Hot Dog on a Stick I've ever been to... and I've been to the one in San Bernardino! Not sure if the cashier knows how to talk, but it's common courtesy to answer people verbally rather than head nods. Simple communication skills go a long way. Also, seems like he was more interested in his phone than taking my cash. Anyway, I wasn't expecting much from a Hot Dog on a Stick inside a casino.

This place is a joke. It was Saturday noon, only one lady was working. No one in line, it was just us. She didn't acknowledge us or anything at all. She saw us but just kept ignoring us. After a while of waiting to see if she'll take our order or at least acknowledge that we were there, I said "excuse me, can we order please ", and she said "GIVE ME A SECOND", in an irritated voice. We still waited for her to help us but she never did. Totally disappointed we just left.

It is very sad that one person was working Nocheiya with a long line of people, she was amazing, not to mention with a cast on her foot and the guy Mark literally is just stealing company time doing nothing. He stood there while she was taking orders and placing orders alone while he kept going in the back. There was no manager, no supplies, and no care at all for a Great customer experience. I will never return back to this place. FYI Mark should be fired.

Google
Great place! I visited late so there was only one worker but she got the food reasonably quickly (4 minutes). The signature lemonade was very good and the turkey hot dog was great as ever.

Google
I came in at around 10:30pm and there was only ONE WORKER and a line of about 20 people. Everything else was closed so the line just kept growing. The poor girl was running around like a chicken with her head cut off trying to fulfill orders alone with no help. I asked her where the manager was and she didn’t know, which told me everything I needed to know. They were out of everything so I had to put my ketchup in a cup. My order was incorrect but it wasn’t even her fault it was poor management. I will be contacting corporate because this is absolutely unacceptable.

Google
Hey, it’s not glamorous, but they do make a mean corn dog. Get the family deal, if you have 3-4 people. A much better deal. And just stick to the beef corn dog. The cheese filled ones pale in comparison. Fries are very good, and the funnel cake sticks are tasty, too.

Google
We ordered hot dog on sticks, funnel cake sticks, and cherry lemonade. Good food and great service.

Google
Soo always wanted to try it. The classic hot dog on a stick took at least 7 minutes to be ready plus waiting time because no one was around of service staff. The stick itself - for me as a German who tried a hot dog on a stick for the first time - wasn’t enjoyable at all. Also

Yelp
Hotdog on a stick was a staple to my mall trips growing up! I was excited to see a location at the Excalibur Casino on the strip. The seating area is one of the cleanest I've seen while in Vegas which I was shocked. The corn dog was battered and dipped in front of me and seemed decently fresh. I got the original Turkey dog. The texture of the Turkey dog was a little slippery. The ketchup is by the packet and when I reached in it was sticky with no napkins available that was a little off putting. The signs indicated a "jumbo" dog which turns out they do not carry. Overall decent snack for the price on the vegas strip.

Yelp
this is a bit unfair because im so loyal to HDOS but it was a blast from my past and i loved every moment. their uniform policy is laxed so some of the nostalgia was lost but the veggie dog was heaven. there aren't that many throughout southern california anymore and that makes me sad but when i walked in the food court, my spirits were lifted for three days. I love the veggie dogs. i'm sure the cheese are solid too. i'm a lemonade snob because of HDOS but i would stick to the food. easy to mess up the lemonade, not as easy to mess up the food.

Yelp
I'm going to be honest here, I did not have the highest of hopes for a place called Hot dog on a stick so I went into this with pretty low expectations. Located inside of the Excalibur food court between them and the Luxor, this small little food shop was empty and made for an easy place for a quick bite and beverage before spending some time at the arcade. I ended up ordering a cherry lemonade and a beef hotdog on a stick and it was heated and served in about two minutes which is pretty quick if you ask me. The cheery lemonade mostly tasted like sugar with a little bit of cherry/lemonade flavour, but for $3 or $4 it's a pretty cheap drink on the strip. The actual hot dog on a stick was not good, I can't even describe the weird taste of the batter. It kind of tasted like a mixture of burnt and also something just plain bad, did not enjoy, cannot recommend. Overall, Hot Dog on a stick gets a thumbs down from me. I did not enjoy the food, I didn't really enjoy the drink, but for the cheap prices it does make for a quick cheap eat if you are tying to save a little money on a bite to eat. Would I come back? Probably not, but hey, maybe we'll cross paths again in the future.
google avatar

Yelp
Ok for a quick bite to eat. One person working so quality of food wasn't great because she was being so rushed.
google avatar

Yelp
Bruh. Tell me it ain't so! Service: bad. Corn dogs: disappointing. Not nearly what I remembered as a kid. Even worse, the corn dogs were tiny and the cornbread lopsided. Boo. Not happy. Wasn't even good as a "port in the storm."

Yelp
We went to order and the guy working just walked out. The line was about 10 people deep. He told everyone it was a shift change but nobody else showed up. He walked down to another place and was just talking to a girl. I stood there for an additional 10-15 minutes before getting frustrated and leaving. Looks like they don't really care.

Yelp
Horrible Service both workers with their AirPods in don't talk or greet or say anything!! My food was ready and I saw it and after a few minutes I asked if mine was ready and he said no.... 2 minutes later he gets it from the counter and hands it to me!!!! Ridiculous

Renée M.

Yelp
Don't waste your money!! They do not make the corn dogs like the traditional locations. Not sure if it was just the employee on duty that day or if they consistently coat the corn dogs with very, very thin batter that does not taste like the original recipe. Totally inedible and had to throw it away. Hate I threw it away before taking a pic.
google avatar

Yelp
Just had lemonade It's original butt they show on the menue that they have lite....guy said they did not have lite...Asked for limeade...guy said they did not have any.... Settled for regular.... Asked for a cup of water to thin out the sugar and he said they don't offer glasses of water

Yelp
I just wanted to give 5 stars thanks to ALEX, she is the bomb. I loved her attitude and she was fast and friendly. Having people like her in customer service is something I value. Alex honey, keep up the good work. Yes queen you sure did make my night and I'm sure others appreciate you just as much as I did . Food was good too but I'm giving 5 stars for this gem y'all hired. Located in Excalibur!
google avatar

Zach H.

Yelp
Craving a hot dog? Hot dog on a stick should do the trick. Get a nice sized corn dog for a reasonable price. Located in Excalibur.
google avatar

Robert L.

Yelp
Terrible location. In the center of Vegas the people behind the counter are turning everyone away claiming they are "Taking a break for a while from serving people" because someone called in, at 5 pm mind you. I've never heard of such a thing. How do you completely shutdown a food court restaurant and lose money because you say you have a lot to get down. I see two woman and a man behind the counter. Not sure how many people it takes to make a corn dog. Pretty ridiculous.
google avatar

Daniel C.

Yelp
Super helpful and super nice. Alex from the store was more than generous with being able to help +5 customers with customer satisfaction and being 100% professional. Would highly recommend and return as a valued customer. Would rate higher than 5 stars if possible.

Heide B.

Yelp
My Uber driver showed up on time they didn't have the food ready and he cancelled after 10 minutes. The second driver shows up 15 minutes later and the food is still not ready. He waited an additional 20 minutes and finally got the food. It was burnt. Never order from here again
google avatar

JoAnn Y.

Yelp
The service is friendly. They over fried all of our items though. Nice to see this old standby in Vegas.
google avatar

Yelp
This food court was dead. The food was delicious and fresh as all locations. This was our first time to this shop. It was a week day and the whole food court was dead. The girl was not friendly and said work was slow and boring when i asked. Not much other friendliness but she did make the food we ordered in a timely manner. I would go here again as the food is good. Interesting fact of the food business. Some people function better under heavy workload and some not so much. We all have to find what works for us. In the end the important part is to remember that great customer service is not dependent on the amout of customer you have. Infact many would say its easier to give above grade service when you have less customers. Positive vibes and attitude are the main key.

Yelp
I love hot dog on a stick. Been going when I was a kid growing up in Southern California. They use all beef or turkey hot dogs and they are so tasty and crispy. I like mine with mustards. The cherry lemonade is too die for.
google avatar

あと

Yelp
I had never eaten from this place, and was surprised and pleased at the food. I got a turkey corn dog and the funnel cake fries. The batter is delicious and the staff were very friendly. Located in a food court allows for mix and match with other cuisines. I really like the fact they offer turkey dogs as I do not eat pork/beef [regular hot dogs]. There is also fries, cheese on a stick and beverages but I didn't try these things.
google avatar

Kim A.

Yelp
Delicious corn dog and funnel fries and lemonade !! It's a must . We ended up paying for a refill which is 2.70$ since it was good! We paid over 6$ for this delicious lemonade !

Sun K.

Yelp
Love hotdog on a stick, but this place makes the worst hotdog on a stick. Barely any batter, n burned. When I told the the girl at the stand that it barely has any batter, she said this is how she makes it n I should make it myself if I don't like it. OMG.... So so rude.
google avatar

Sam F.

Yelp
Great place! I visited late so there was only one worker but she got the food reasonably quickly (4 minutes). The signature lemonade was very good and the turkey hot dog was great as ever.

Yelp
I stopped by and the employee completely ignored me. Didn't say a single word and just stared at me. Rude service and careless employees.

Yelp
As we walked around the food court at Excalibur, I noticed someone carrying a tremendous, golden brown, crispy-fried corn dog. Hello, delicious food on a stick! I wasn't really in a "hot dog mood". I never am, to be honest, but after giving up on the other lack of options, we went back to look at the menu. Holy veggie hot dog! What are you doing up there??!! I had no idea this place also fries up veggie dogs. On a stick. In golden brown, fried dough! I was a little reluctant. Would it look the same? How would it taste? I didn't know, but I gave it a shot and hot diggity dog I'm glad I did. Yum yum yum. While the veggie dog (mine)($3.69) and beef dog (husband's)($4.39) were cooked in the same fryer, I thought about the surprising fact that the veggie dog was less expensive! How is that possible?! We ordered a fry to share ($2.79) and a Light Lemonade (with sugar substitute) ($3.69 for large) Everything was really good. We were the last customer of the night or else I probably would've ordered another dog, even though I really wasn't that hungry after the first one. I wish EVERY food establishment would have a veggie option. Most of the time it's going to be a very tasty, healthier, guilt-free treat. I do eat meat, but if there's a veggie option, I always take it! Glad I did here, The food was great!

Yelp
Who does not like the old fashion hotdog or cheese on a stick. ? Always fun when you do enjoy on occassion. Love the Lemonade!
google avatar

Yelp
Stood in line and then ignored. Didn't eat here and now never will. Much better options with way better customer service nearby
google avatar

Yelp
Yum! Fried cheese on a stick?!? How can you go wrong? Okay maybe you're cholesterol won't like it but it's so yummy! We always make sure we come here while we're in town !
google avatar

Kim D.

Yelp
We stopped by last night and Elvira was working the line all alone. Such a sweet smile and so helpful she worked great under pressure being the only one working since her coworker called out! Big shout out to her!!
google avatar

Christy G.

Yelp
I remember this place from my childhood! We no longer have one near where I live in TX. I made sure visiting here was on our itinerary while visiting Vegas. They have American cheese coated in corn dog meal, friend on a stick. It's amazing! You can't find it anywhere else. Their cherry lemonade is also really good. Please open a location in Denton or Dallas, TX!
google avatar

Tracy P.

Yelp
I know it's fast food. I know it's a chain and their food is the same in every location. That being said, their fried pepperjack cheese on a stick is TO DIE FOR! This one is in a food court and I had to order just one and enjoy it right there. YUM!
google avatar

Feliciana F.

Yelp
Two stars because a half star is not an option. The batter on the hot dog was over cooked and not golden vron. And the potion of funnel cake sticks was a sad excuse of a serving. Overall disappointed.
google avatar

Sarah L.

Yelp
1st time here, soooooooo good. Next time I am in Vegas I will definitely be coming back here.
google avatar

Rob L.

Yelp
It's a corn dog. Actually considered it worst quality then state fair corndog. Won't east this again.
google avatar

Sam L.

Yelp
It's not corn dog, it's hot dog on a stick! In a search for something different, I stumbled across hot dog on a stick in the Excalibur food court. While it looked like a novelty/carnival setup, the actual taste is actually pretty darn decent. It is quite expensive for what they are, but you'd come to appreciate them making it on the spot, rather than warm them up in a microwave. Give it a shot if you're looking for something different in Vegas!
google avatar

Mariana K.

Yelp
My home town doesn't have a Hot Dog on a Stick, and my husband insisted we try it. I really enjoyed it because the "hot dog" breading was very crispy. Even though the dog was hot, I was able to eat it right away. The lemonades are nice, especially on a hot day.
google avatar

Jules K.

Yelp
I was stoked that they offer two vegetarian options, veggie corndog and a cheese stick on a stick. It was pretty good for fast food, and would eat here again.
google avatar

Jade M.

Yelp
After they closed the location at Fashion Show I was determined to find another location and was excited to find out that this place was open at the Excalibur food court. However, for some reason the food was just not as good as I've come to expect. The corn dog tasted oily like they needed to change out the fryer oil. We spent $9 for two hot dogs on a stick and we could have eaten somewhere else :(. Sad sad sad.

Yelp
If I could give negative stars I would. I visited this location 01/03/2021. We arrived at 10:30 am thinking we would order two of the FMAILY DEALS (8 stick items and 2 sides for $34.99) for the long ride home. I asked the employees there when they open, they mentioned an hour. We waited. After an hour they had an issue and I was told another half hour. So we left as we had tickets to another venue. We walked back to our hotel. After that we walked back it is now almost 2:00pm. We waited in line and see other customers getting food. I walk up to the register and I am told that they are NOT SELLING the Family deal. That they are not selling any food but drinks!!! Yet I just watched several people get food. So clearly this lady did not want to sell me food because of my family skin color! This must be that lovely white privilege's I keep hearing about! I knew it once the employee said this and the customer that was ahead of me that BOUGHT FOOD said " Good looking out!" So I had to explain to my kids that this ghetto employee rather NOT make the company that pays her any money over some insane racist. I cannot believe she is still employed. If that is the practice of this establishment then this needs to be shut down. I know if roles were revised all hell would've broken out. Unreal. To lie to us and tell us for hours that they are not ready, then to flat out deny service for NO REASON other that her hate is disgusting. Please close this place down!!!
google avatar

Duane C.

Yelp
I love this place sooo much. It was one of my best choices for a snack today.I will definitely be back the corn dogs are the best and awesome it's all Good!!!
google avatar

Robert A.

Yelp
You can never go wrong here. Cheese on a stick. Veggie dogs on a stick. The staff is amazing and they all deserve a raise. I don't think they get paid enough and I know this because if they did; they would be selling ten times more. Also... why do you never have the lite lemonade ... NEVER. Either way, I love this place. Even your flaws are perfection.
google avatar

Kelli M.

Yelp
My dad grew up in California and we've always had family there. Needless to say we've been out there a lot and had the joy of eating hot dog on a stick. It was always a favorite must have. I recently got to take my husband and he loved it. It's as good as I remember. You can't beat a cheese on a stick.

Patrick E.

Yelp
This review is for their lemonade drinks and service alone. The lady at the register was fast, efficient, and made some great drinks. The lemonades were large and ran about $5. Ask for light ice and you'll be good. Great customer service.
google avatar

Jessica D.

Yelp
Went on a Sunday and waited at the counter for about 10 minutes (no employee in sight). I was greeted by 4 employees from other food court restaurants who told us someone would be right with us. A young lady finally stormed thru the back door, and rudely (no greeting, no smile, no apology for being M.I.A.) asked for our order. We ordered 2 cheese bars. As she proceeded to make our order, she was slamming & throwing everything (refrigerator door, container tops, etc) around. I was about to present her with a Verizon coupon that was specific to this location but she cut me off and said they don't accept coupons. I didn't argue with her because if figured it was pointless given her mood; we just paid and took our cheese bars. One of the cheese bars was still cold from the center so my friend returned it. Young lady was even more bothered, grabbed the cheese bar and slammed it in the trash. I spoke to the manager and she was very sweet and apologetic and corrected the problem to the best of her ability. She gave us complimentary lemonades and offered us a free meal from any restaurant in the food court. We were thankful, but told her the free meal wasn't necessary, we just appreciated her time and attention to our concern. To the young lady behind the register: customer service is obviously not your thing; perhaps you should seek a different type of position where customer interaction. I'm giving 4 stars because of the manager, if based on young lady behind the counter alone, I'd be giving 1 star.

Yelp
Another one of the new places in the food court at the Excalibur Hotel. Like the other food places there, they are currently offering special deals so be sure to take advantage of them while you still can! I recommend getting their lemonade if you feel like drinking something chilled and refreshing (and are tired of drinking water lol). Also a good place for a quick bite. Their fries are pretty good.
google avatar

Brian P.

Yelp
Located in the Excalibur food court and like all other Hot Dog on a Stick locations, it is a great place to get a snack or some lemonade. However, if you're looking to have a full meal it may get a little pricey. The employees are very nice, fast and efficient even when this place gets busy and a line forms. I would highly recommend their lemonade, get the lime/green one!
google avatar

Jennifer S.

Yelp
We had a coupon for a buy one item and regular lemonade, get one item free. So, we got a regular cherry lemonade and two pepperjack cheese dogs. I've had both before, and you can't go wrong. This location was no exception. The girl working behind the counter was very sweet and friendly. She took our name when we ordered, and it wasn't too long before she called it out telling us our food was ready. Overall, a great experience!
google avatar

Alicia C.

Yelp
Ate here on June 3, 2013 Individual corn dog is $3.75 each. Fries where good, not busy so got my food real hot.
google avatar

James C.

Yelp
So disappointed in the level of service I received. Kylie the employee was rude while taking my order. As I was waiting for my order I noticed a shift change. The new girl coming in saw me waiting and informed me that she had to throw away the ones that Kylie started because she didn't know how to work the equipment and it would be another 5 minute wait. Wish there was a way to give less than one star

Chaz R.

Yelp
The food is great as always, but Lesley was rude and seams like she would rather be doing something else. (Hint hint management.)

Heather H.

Yelp
We stopped by here twice during our recent visit to Vegas. Ordered turkey dogs on sticks the first visit which were good and lemonade on the second visit which was not good. It was bland, I'm assuming because it must have been watered down from the ice melting in the display. I actually worked at a Hot Dog on a Stick location in Texas as my 1st job over 15 years ago. I remember making the lemonade and it was soo good back then, not at all like it tasted at this location. Lastly, there was one other customer in front of me in line and we both had to wait a little while before an employee even appeared at the register to help us. I thought that was strange. Also, the menu board listed light lemonade, but the employee told me they didn't have it. Again, thought that was strange. Doubt we will be back on our next visit.

Yelp
Not everyone can afford or always wants expensive fine dining while visiting Vegas. There is nothing fancy about hot dog on a stick, but in my opinion good food doesn't have to be fancy. This place is perfect for a quick inexpensive bite, and who doesn't love a corn dog? Staff were friendly and prices are very reasonable. I always stop and get a hot dog on a stick when I'm in Excalibur.
