I visited this newly opened venue on a Saturday evening. Firstly a general comment on the Harrods Dining Hall - it is quite a nice setting and the (intermittent) live music does add to the ambience. It was moderately busy but most of the different vendors seemed to still have plenty of spare seats available (except for The Grill which seemed more popular). The majority of seating is on high stools along counters, but there are 3 vendors which offer regular tables as well.
Hot Dogs has a prime location along the central island of the hall with good views of the live band. The menu has a good variety of hot dogs (with choices of pork, lamb or beef sausages), but not much else. There were no fries for example, they only offered crisps which tasted just like standard Kettle chips from a supermarket. I tried the “Souk” dog which is lamb based and this was very nice, although not massive. I was not very hungry on the day, otherwise I could have easily eaten a second one. They only offer a sundae for dessert but you are allowed to order from other vendors, so I instead tried the Creme brûlée from the Grill which was decent.
Service was fine, but some servers seemed a bit spacey and not particularly on top of things. Luckily it wasn’t that busy. The bill for my meal came to around £45, including a glass of wine. I did enjoy the meal and as a non-pork eater being able to indulge in a decent non-pork hot dog is quite a rarity in London. I could see myself returning in future.
