Google
Hands down the best Thai street food flavors I've had here in the Twin Cities. The pad krapow is 🔥- note, their spice level is legit, so be careful how spicy you ask for. I forgot what the noodle dish we ordered was called, but it was so flavorful, we didn't need to add anything to the broth. Ordering can be a little confusing as you have to do it all online, even if you're dining in. And then the dining area is pretty small too, so it can be a little crowded depending on what time you go. First time here, but it won't be the last.

Google
I want to give 10 stars if I can This place soooooooo AMAZING! If you're in search of AUTHENTIC Thai cuisine, I highly recommend this place. Having spent 24 years in Thailand before moving to the USA just two years ago, and being from a state where finding genuine Thai food is a challenge, I can confidently say this restaurant is a gem. During my visit to Minnesota to see family, they brought me here, and from the moment I looked at the menu, I knew I had finally found a Thai restaurant that doesn't compromise authenticity by adding peas, bamboo, or bell peppers to their dishes. It was a moment of certainty that they indeed serve authentic Thai food! I ordered dishes that I used to enjoy in Thailand, and to say I was FLABBERGASTED is an understatement. The portions are generous, and if you enjoy spicy food, this is the place for you! I recommend going for a full spoon of spices for the perfect taste, but even when I opted for just a tiny bit to accommodate my family's preference for less spice, the flavors were still amazing.

Google
Hot Grainz makes some good Thai food! They're in the large building housing the Asian market. When you arrive you'll have to scan the code and order through their website. You can then grab a seat and they'll bring out the food. There's not many tables available so try visiting on an off hour. The pad kra pow is great but get it as spicy as possible. The spice level of one table spoon is what you should order if you like spice.

Delicious food! Small seating area with self serve water/utensils/take out containers. Have been here a couple times and each time, the food has been amazing!!! It does get busy if dining in due to limited seating, so take out might be better. Tried some of the drinks, but not a fan (too sugary that it overpowers flavor). Will keep going back for the food though! Definitely reminds me of food in Thailand. Delicious flavors and tender meats. The portions are enough to share as well. Recommend: the khao kha moo (stewed pork knuckle). It was fall off the bone and soooo tender. Packed with flavor.

Google
Fantastic food! My friends say this is some of the most authentic Thai food you can get in the twin cities. Seating is very limited (they don't let you sit until your entire group is present and have paid for their order) and the building has its quirks (example - you need the bathroom code located on your meal receipt to open the lock). Decent amount of parking in the back and pretty close to public transit. Quirks aside, the food is totally worth coming back for. Excited to try other items!

Google
Good food very authentic, my partner is Thai and she liked the Guay Tieu Tom Yum and the Khao Mun Gai. I was a bit disappointed with the Khao Soi, the broth wasn't vibrant or spicy just had some peppers on top, too little cilantro and red onion to balance out the pickled cabbage. I had to fish my lime wedge out of the soup. Our group had sticky rice mango and custard, the custard is thin as a crepe and not much mango on the other. Wish had the fried bananas instead. Dine-in ordering is problematic. Need paper menus available or at least the menu posted. Ordering on the screen takes a long time and creates a line, and if you're not familiar with the menu you're in trouble. Service was not very friendly and we had to ask for our dishes to be removed before dessert. I think they prefer and prioritize takeout. Seating limited and you're not allowed to sit until you've ordered and paid 😕 We'd probably go back for the food, but the ordering process and the service was unpleasant

Google
Incredible food, naem and pad prik gaeng are two stand-out dishes after two visits, but we will be coming back to try every dish on the menu!!

Google
This place looks amazing with a personalized neon sign so you can’t miss it when you enter the building with multiple shops. The food here was pretty good. My only complaint is that I wish there was more sauce on the meat I ordered, but that’s just a me preference. The service was fairly fast given the small about of people within the kitchen and the atmosphere here is pretty aesthetic where you’d picture Instagram selfies and portraits. Free side of rice!

Yelp
Super hole in the wall gem located in a multiple purpose commercial building. Parking lot in the back of the building (front faces University Av). Inside, you may miss the order window but look harder. Hours can be sketchy as we came one day and they closed several hours earlier than posted hours. We came back another day and were successful. Ordered thru QR code and sat down in their small but clean dining space. Papaya salad was delicious as well as the fried sour pork (tender and flavorful). Pad Thai was solid but did not blow our minds. Their specialty may be their selection of noodles. Tried the extra spicy egg noodle soup (forgot the name). Warning if you are sensitive to spicy, don't order spicy here. It's legit spicy.

Yelp
Best authentic Thai foods we have in 2024! This restaurant is situated in the back part of plaza shopping mall. We were unsure we were at the right place since there was no sign outside the building. However we went through the back door next to the parking lot of the mall and it was right there! We had Khao Poon (vermicelli version of salted crab papaya salad), Khao Kha Moo, and deep fried bananas. Khao Poon was just like what we had in E-san, the northeastern region of Thailand. If Pla-ra (Thai style anchovy) is not your thing, there are many other options of papaya salads that look amazing on the menu. Khao kha moo is a bomb! The meat was so tender and juicy. We would order these 2 dish again next time! We ended the meal with deep fried bananas, you got a lot for $10. How it works: place an order through QR code and pay at the cashier/front desk of the restaurant. After completing payment, you will be assigned a table to sit. I would not recommend a party bigger than 4 based on the tables they have (takeout option is available). The restaurant is very low key and relaxed. You serve yourself water and utensils/napkins. Very friendly staff.

Yelp
I only tried two salads but they were fantastic! Hot Grainz is a tiny spot tucked into a larger mixed use building. There is one or two tables, but it is really more of a takeout spot. It is not easy to find and if there is a sign outside, I did not see them. You will see a number of items that can be found at any Thai restaurant but also many unique items- and that is where they shine. Loved my salads- that perfect balance of flavors that make Thai food my favorite. When you look at the menu, it may appear there are few vegetarian items but I spoke with with staff and they said that you can make a request in your order to leave the meat out and they will honor it, and in some cases can add mock duck. Fun, not expensive and tasty. Definitely recommend!!

Yelp
I've been drooling over the photos at Hot Grainz so I was ready to eat everything I went with some friends. After circling the building outside in lovely MN winter, we finally found the entrance in the back of the building. No signs, Asian speakeasy. It looks like mass chaos inside. People trying to figure out how to order from one machine and taking their sweet time. Signs everywhere to order from a QR code, along with their "rules." I already know what to expect when a restaurant has signs everywhere that start with "DO NOT...blah blah blah." Stuff like that is so unwelcoming, but I kinda get why they need to. If the food is AMAZING, I'm like whatever, par for the course. Most Asian places, servers won't smile at you or refill your water, you'll be lucky they're not talking shit about you. I'm Viet, they be talking about me until I respond back and they're shocked I'm Viet, then suddenly we're bff's. Sure, fine, as long as the food is on point. We ordered Naem, Raw Beef Larb, Khao Kha Moo, and KaNom Jeen NamNgiaw. It's a little after 1pm on weekend, we're dining in. We're the second group of four in the small dining room, it took like 40 min to get our food and damn, they brought each dish out one at a time, just torture. I was about to devour my 4 bags of O-tube chips I bought from the very convenient Asian market next door, I was so hungry. But, I was scared of the "NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR DRINKS" signs. I didn't want them to bring their little machine and charge me money and another 3% for using a credit card. I waited and felt my mental breakdown happening in slow motion as my body ate itself. Alright, close to 2pm and first dish rolls out piping hot, Naem. I'm so hungry it's like winning the lottery. I smash the first piece, I love the flavors of this dish, it's bright, bold, spicy, sweet, savory...but the pork is kinda dry, like chewing rubber. I wish the meat was tender and juicy cause this might be my favorite flavor profile on earth. Raw beef larb was good, but I'd skip any hint of bitter and it really needed acid, same with the KaNom Jeen NamNgiaw noodle soup. We asked for lime wedges and that did the trick in helping cut the richness in the larb, and the lime brought more depth to the broth in the soup. The Khao Kha Moo was the star. I would like buckets of this rice and ham hock, everything on this one plate was perfect. I would get this every time. If not for this dish I probably wouldn't come back. I'm coming back for this. I'd never dine in again though. Oh, my ass learned today. I will be ordering my ham hock to go each time and well in advance.

Yelp
When you look up directions it will be confusing but it's inside the sunrise Market. Plenty of parking in the back which is a plus. You order the food first at the counter with the QR code and they'll give you a table number if you're dinning in. Small place with just a few table but it gave me a flashback similar to back in asia which was very cozy. Our food came out fast, there's plates and silverware and a water dispenser near the front and you basically help yourself. I ordered the yen the pho, boat noodles, papaya salad , chicken wings, pad grapao (not pictured), shrimp fried rice(not pictured). Overall food was good, I like mine on the sweet and salty side but there were condiments near the silverware that you can add so you can adjust the taste. Loved that they had so many food choices that's hard to find in the twin cities. Overall I would definitely go back, just wished seating was more expanded.

Peter P.

Yelp
Tried this place as it has plenty of good choice from the menu. We dined in but the place only has 6 small tables (2-4 ppl/tbl). So take out might be your better choice. Anyway, though Naem is their signature dish (fermented pork ribs) we decided to order other dishes: Khoa kha moo and bha mee moo daeng and three milk mango sago for our dessert.

Maïa S.

Yelp
Nestled in the corner of a plaza market is a hidden gem of traditional Thai comfort and street food. The building itself is unassuming, but the restaurant is modern and quaint. The food, however, is stunning. We came specifically for the pork feet-- stewed in five spice. It was soft and tender and full of collagen. The pad krapow was flavorful but spicy (if you can't handle spice, don't get it!). It was definitely worth the drive.

Nick S.

Yelp
This is the only place in the Twin Cities where I've been able to order pig's trotters similar to the way they do them in South Korea where I lived for 2 years. Before you say to yourself that you would never eat pig's trotters, let me tell you that most fatty cuts of meat in America are not done well. The fat on pig's trotters is melt in your mouth, and when mixed in with the meat it's to die for. As others have said, Hot Grainz does Thai food you won't find at your average Thai restaurant here. This is a must-try. It is somewhat difficult to find, but a little persistence pays off. Just drive around the back of the building and you'll find it. There is another restaurant in the same building, so don't be confused. Hot Grainz is the counter-service place in the hallway. Definitely check this place out.

Rich F.

Yelp
Good Pad Thai. I added 1x for the spice, and WOW ! It was spicy! I managed, and I do love a spicy meal. Fast. Easy ordering for take out.

Mai V.

Yelp
Firstly, this is located inside a huge white building with a very spacious parking lot in the back. When you enter the building from the back door, Hot Grainz is straight ahead. Immediately I could smell the fresh and spicy aroma in the air. Had me choking from the spice, an indicator that this place will be good! To start you have to order food first, pay, then you will be assigned to a table and the food will be served. All you have to do is scan their QR code for the menu and order from your phone. They have a tablet at the counter where you can also view the table but can't place your order from there. Save time and just view the menu from your phone. After you place your order, someone will call your name to pay the bill and they will give you a table for seating (if you're dining in). Aside from the food being served to you, everything else is self serve. Grab your own water and utensils. That have leftover containers as well but recommend only using it after eating and if you want to bring your leftovers home. I dined in with a friend and we ordered a bunch of different dishes to try. We got the fried pork and chicken wontons, panang curry, chicken fried rice, Tom Yum Goong, fried chicken, Tum Thai, Naem, Yum Woon Sen and Cha Yen (Thai Tea). Everything was great! The naem is fermented pork ribs, so it will have a sour taste like the Nam sausage. The atom Yum Goong was probably a favorite of mine. If you enjoy a sweet and spicy soup with herbs, you need to try this dish. It has lots of flavors without it being too overwhelming and comes with rice. For sure I need to come back to have more of these during winter time! Will also come back to try to boat noodles and Khao Poob.

Yelp
Hands down best Thai food in the Twin Cities. My Thai friends RAVE about this place and frequent at least on a weekly basis. My personal favorites are the Pad Kra Pow (spicy stir fry with a fried egg), Khao Mun Gai (chicken thigh served with rice and a chicken base soup), Khao Kha Moo (stewed pork knuckle), each a complete meal for just $15, also great for sharing. The food is flavorful and transports you to the street food stalls of Bangkok. Order ahead online or using the tablets at the cashier's desk. There is a small dining room next door where you can eat, or the food is also perfect for take out. While waiting, check out the small grocery shop in the same plaza for some SE Asian food and household items or ask the young, impressive owner of Hot Grainz about her amazing journey to starting this new place. Please never close. Seriously the best. Easy plaza parking.

Hnou V.

Yelp
Wow what a hidden gem this place is. There it's parking in the back and there's a lack of signage to let you know you're in the right place. Just walk in and you'll find a cafe, grocery store, and Hot Grainz. I tried the khao soi noodles for the first time and it tastes like a home cooked meal made by the best chef in the fam. Sweet, creamy, savory with hints of tang and bitterness from the pickled veggies. The space is small so I recommend small groups of 5 or less. Order at the counter and pay before sitting down. They'll assign you a seat.

Yelp
We love Thai food. After reading about Hot Grainz, I was very excited to try them out. The first thought that comes to mind is spicy! Like not MN spicy either. I had read that they were bold with their flavors. Well, no doubt their flavors are bold! We ordered the spicy wontons, Naem, Pad Kra Pow with ground chicken, Pad Ke Mao with beef meatballs, Pad Se Ew and Pad Thai. I love wontons. I thought these wontons were good. Not great, but good and not too much spice. Loved the Naem. The pork was savory and sour. Some pieces had a little more fat and flavor while other pieces were a bit dryer. A great meal with rice. Also loved the Pad KraPow. This dish did pack some Pow. We ordered a little spice however we were definitely sweating a bit. Really like this dish with the egg mixed in. Both the Pad Ke Mao and Pad Se Ew were excellent. We love noodle dishes, especially rice noodles. Next time we would order a different meat as we didn't love the texture of the beef meatballs. The Pad Thai was another winner. Tasty, savory, sour and a bit sweet just like you would expect. Definitely a bit of a punch from that Pad Kra Pow however that may be our favorite dish. Really good food in a very unassuming location. Looking forward to returning.

Khoi N.

Yelp
The food is really good. Every dishes are full of flavors. My favorite is the tom yum curry which I didn't take a picture of. The wait time is a bit long, around 15 minutes. We came late so only take out is available. The ambiance felt like a street market.

David S.

Yelp
A hole in the wall with excellent food. I will definitely come back for more. They have both done in and take out.

Panduka S.

Yelp
It's absolutely fantastic food. If you are looking for typical Thai food such as red curry, green curry this is not your place. However if you are looking for unique Thai food this is the place. It's little hard to find for the first time as others have pointed out. You have to order food from a QR code when you go there and there's a small room adjacent which has about 5 tables to dine in. So if you have a large group it's better to do take out. I had no idea what northern Thai food is but man, it is delicious. I have ordered food about 4 times in last few weeks and everything has been delicious. I have had Khao Soi soup, Pad KraPow, Pad SeEw so far. Give this place a try and you won't regret..

Kent K.

Yelp
We heard about their good food, so we went to try it. Food was very good. Staff need training in customer service. First timers are not sure what to do. Make sure you read all the signs. Dining room tables off limits!! until they get your money, or you will get nagged. Have to order online, but you pay at the place.

Cemby K.

Yelp
1st off... what a hidden GEM!! The food was phenomenal! Service was Amazing! And the ambiance is a cute, little cafe style. Now the food, we also ordered Guay Tiew Nam Tok (Boat Noodles)-and it was amazing, it had that tangy flavor and just the right amount of vinegar/blood mix. Naam- was definitely a burst of flavor in your mouth! Fermented pork with the peanuts gave it that sour, salty taste; which would be great w a beer Thai Larb-roasted rice, lime and spice was on point. Tum Pu-I love the spicy, sour taste of this but I would've preferred more crab paste IMO but still very good! Also, I love how the cook came out to tell us how/recommended to eat the Naam so that we got the full burst of flavor! We would definitely be back! Fyi.. it's located inside Sunrise Plaza, the area was a little sketchy from the outside but like they say "don't judge a book by its cover"!

Vinh A.

Yelp
First time want try food restaurant , they want order and pay First before you get table No good service need Gmail for order why ? To much trouble order food to sit down table never come back no no no good service many rule order food before get table sit down they don't care customers never never come back no no no good good service 0 0

Edwin C.

Yelp
We ordered the Phat see ew, Thai fried rice, Tom Yum soup, Papaya salad, a noodle soup, and fried bananas. Overall food was good except for the fried noodle and fried rice dish that had an odd taste - my guess it's the type of cooking oil that was used. We didn't quite like it.

LJ L.

Yelp
I took my little cousin to try Thai street food for The first time, and I have to say, it is quite authentic in its spice level. If you can't do spicy, don't come. We ordered the spicy wontons as well As the crunchy pork and shrimp wontons, both were delicious! We got the beef larb as the main and even though it was quite good, the spice level was a bit high for us. They give you a choice of one or two scoops of spice when picking some dishes, but no option for lower than one scoop. Would def come back to try the things !

Cyann L.

Yelp
Hot Grainz - Thai Street Food Instagram: @xcyanneats super cute newly designed interior for dining in and everything is self serve as in water and getting your own utensils boat noodles were a hit. the part i actually really like is the noodles. they're not too soft and not too hard, and with most locations i grab boat noodles. the noodles are always very soggy and sticky, but this came out perfectly fine. as well as the broth and the amount of meat included. i definitely love this dish two and a half of dried peppers and a half scoop of chili oil and the spice def starts kicking sweet and sour pork, this flavoring is an interesting one. whenever i see red pork, i always think of the chinese sweet pork, but this is the opposite and of course fits to the name. most overly sour though! pad kraw pow, not pictured. i expected more to it, but it was good for the experience. it was more salter than normal, but flavors where still there. i really think it's neat to pair some soup on the side with it each dish is $12-17, i believe cheaper is paying cash to avoid card fees!

Tiffany V.

Yelp
Place your order on the iPad kiosk and then wait for one of the worker to take your payment on another machine there is a 3% fee charge for using a card. The iPad was a bit confusing, hard to order, especially with someone that already speak English and know how to use computer but if it's someone who's illiterate then they won't be able to make the order. Rest was pretty small. You order the food and the open window in the hallway and after placing the order then you can make your way over to the small dining area. The hall is busy, but the dining area is clean and small. Self-serve water. First time order here we ordered the tom khun (bitter soup) which is my specialty in eating this kind of dishes. The flavor is ok but it's not there yet, could use some more flavor and more ingredients. It's simple. The bitter soup should have some intestine. Giving it a 3. Will review again in the future when I try other dishes.

C O.

Yelp
I've been to Thailand and this place really gets the flavors right - the Khao Soi had a depth of flavor that nailed it, with fresh chewy curly noodles cooked just right. My brother got the pad thai with a "one spoon" spice rating and even one spoon was so spicy he couldn't finish it (and he likes spicy) so those who like it thai hot can get that, if you want less spicy ask for "just a little" or zero. I'll be back!

Gigi M.

Yelp
I am super happy u finally found this gem! I'm Thai so I know what's authentic, and I'm telling you, this is it! Food is great! The place is clean, not many tables so you have to plan your day well, the guy who tkkk my order was extremely nice!

Malinda V.

Yelp
Located in a small building with another restaurant & store. You will find it if looking for it. Smaller quick service cafe. You can pick up food to go or they have a connected small dine in area only if you are dining in. Doesn't look like much of a restaurant but it's cute self serve and the food is really good!! They have a lot on the menu and their pad Thai is so good!! Sometimes it's a hit or miss anywhere but this was spot on. We also got their Khao Mun Gai. It's their version of "Hainanese chicken". Which is a chicken rice dish of poached chicken and seasoned rice, served with chilli sauce and cucumbers. I can't wait to go back and try other items because Thai food is our favorite.

john c.

Yelp
It's tucked away in a University Ave Mini-mall. Order online, pay at the counter, and they assign you table number in the dining room next door. I ordered an egg noodle soup Ba Mee Nam and a coconut Boba slushie. Sooo much better than Phó. Reminded me of the plastic bags of soup you buy on the street in Thailand. I can't wait to go back.

Ethan H.

Yelp
I ordered online and my food was ready when I got there just ten minutes later. The panang curry was delicious and had lots of chicken - definitely recommend. The spice is about 3 out of 5 when you eat the chilis, which is perfect for me. Can easily avoid the chilis if you want a milder experience. For the price, the pork and shrimp crispy wontons were underwhelming - basically just a small piece of seasoned pork the size of your grandma's hardy candies inside the little crispy wrapping. Will come back to try other dishes!

Bob J.

Yelp
Food was pretty good but I had to wait over one hour for an order I placed online for pickup. When I arrived the seated a group of monks and that pretty much filled the dining area. They cooked and served them a feast, then started cooking the online orders. I know this because there was a crazy young girl screaming at everyone and she was especially mean to the Hispanic cooks.

Meng H.

Yelp
Average thai restaurant. New, so it's clean. We came here just for the papaya salad. We only did take out so I really cannot say anything on service. The papaya was decent. Not a high profile salad but ok. In Michigan we have a restaurant called "Taste of Vietnam" and they make a crazy papaya salad that will blow the top off of this place! Lol. The salad is called ? It's a Vietnamese secret. I'm still complain about the bathroom being locked. I know it's a property management issue. It really sucks. This is to keep the homeless out. Just a nuisance. I'm guessing it's Hmong owned because the pho and Asian store are Hmong owned. We might come back to try their Green Curry and Pad thai. Recommend

Yelp
Umm. Not my favorite place for Thai food. I ordered 5 things from here and out of the 5, 2 were edible. Thai food is known for their flavorful taste that consist of sweet, sour, and spicy (including salty). 1. Spring rolls: they were good by itself and quite tasty and fresh. I didn't like the sauce: tamarind. 2. Tum Thai: super plain and not edible at all! I took one little strand to taste and it was disgusting 3. Yum woon sen: again, not very tasty. I don't think they add any sugar to their food...it was bland and all I can really taste was the fish sauce and pepper. 4. Pad Thai shrimp flavor: burnt taste and super salty. They must not know that pad Thai is made with 3 ingredients at even amount of (palm) sugar, soften tamarind (soaked and strained for the water), and fish sauce as the base sauce before adding additional spices and flavors. I've made the sauce from scratch before and was pretty good, but I'm too lazy to make my own today. My order was not edible. Yup, it was not very good. I only ate the shrimp and that was even hard to eat. 5. Fried bananas: this was the other one that was edible out of the 5. A bit sweet (I guess that's where all the sugar went). As for the service, I am not certain. I did notice that they are a bit unorganized...but that's just my impression at pickup. I ordered online, but I do like that they notify me when the food is ready. They prefer cash and will charge a 3% credit card processing fee. The place was a small and they were pretty busy with quite a few people waiting for their food. The environment is definitely a street food feel...food stand with the kitchen behind the counter and register and pickup area...overall I will not be coming back. Not very good.

Paula C.

Yelp
This place is such a gem! It's quaint but we ended up very happy with our meal The flavors of all the dishes we had were super delish and I loved the texture of their noodle dishes that we tried -- Boat Noodles and the Khao Soi. Also, their Pad KaProw is probably one of my new comfort food now They take spice pretty seriously so be cautious of that when choosing the spice level. We picked level one spice for our Papaya Salad and that was perfect. They also serve Thai tea, boba and desserts that we didn't get to try. Tip: They are located in the Sunrise plaza. I honestly got a little lost trying to park but you can park in the lot behind the building. You will also have to order on your phone for dine in and they accept card with an extra fee!

Yelp
Difficult to find, easy to eat. You enter on the back of a warehouse type building and you don't know you're in the right place until you're inside. It's a very small seating area. The water, silverware, and to-go containers are self serve. The food was so flavorful. It was my first time having Tom Yum and holy shit was it good! Kinda wanted to jam my face in the bowl, but I was in public and didn't want to act feral. Get the hot dog wontons, they are great for a picky kid eater or just for fun.

Yelp
More like 3.5/5, only because I haven't tried much Thai places in MN. I liked that they don't use Minnesota spice like some of the Thai places in MN. They take spice seriously! I love their papaya salad and Khao soi. It's a very small mom and pop shop with a few tables. The owners were super friendly.

Yelp
My girlfriend and I were so impressed with how amazing the food was here! Probably the best thai food we've eaten. We got the naem, boat noodle and pad krapow. These were cooked extremely well and were so flavorful. Be sure to chew the lime leaves with the pork and rice for extra flavor. The service was really quick, you order at the register or online and eat at their dining area. The dining area had everything you'd want from it. The building itself has a hmong grocery store and a noodle restaurant nearby. I'm planning to come back again as soon as I can :)

Yelp
Terrific authentic Thai Esan food. If you miss your Thai/Lao mom's cooking, then go eat here. If you were dumped by your Thai/Lao girlfriend or wife and miss her cooking, then go eat here - you won't miss her after. It's one of my favorite places to get papaya salad and beef/tendon soup. This place is small, and similar to the Thai dining style table/chairs that I've experienced in Bangkok and Vientiane. Service was excellent!!!

Yelp
We waited over half an hour for our boat noodles and they weren't even busy. Boat noodles did not tasted like boat noodles. I would not go back.

Yelp
Best Thai food ever in the twin cities. Service is good too. Pretty small space for dining but great for smaller family and group of friends. Would highly recommend! It's pretty expensive, but when the food is that good I know the money I paid for is worth it.

Yelp
One of my favorite in the cities! Their Khao Mun Gai and the pepper sauce that comes with it is so good!!! Definitely recommend their Pad Thai, too! Good customer service & I am always pleased with the food here!

Yelp
The Lao papaya salad, sour pork and beef tendon soup are to die for but there are some pretty awful cons to this place. The restaurant is located at Sunrise Market within a larger commercial building so it's not very apparent that you've arrived until you get through the double doors. The service is awful. The owner-young lady is absolutely rude and not friendly. When I approached the counter and asked where I could order, the lady tapped the iPad with a roll of her eyes not even bothering to explain anything. I voiced my confusion and she told me to order on the iPad with annoyance! I put in my order and sat on some bright colored chairs in the hallway while I waited for my order. I decided against eating in - looked like a small room next to the kitchen that can barely accommodate 10 people. My food was finished in 15 minutes and with zero smiles or a kind word, my order number was called out and I grabbed my bag of food. That was it. Never again even though the food was good. I can spend elsewhere where my patronage is at least respected.

Yelp
I have been here 2x already since moving here from Ca (1 yr this month) and this is definitely a go to on my list whenever I am in the city. The food is made fresh and the service is great. I love the neon sign and the greenery wall! Tip: if you want the fried bananas order it in advance - SO WORTH THE WAIT!

Yelp
Ah, a wonderful little gem in the heart of my childhood neighborhood. I have a soft spot for frogtown and coming back to this area always makes me feel super nostalgic. And lately, I've found myself coming back to this area because of this place...At this point, I'm probably going to become a regular here (lol). With every return, I am always so amazed at the consistency and deliciousness of the food here: *Khao Mun Gai--the rice reminds me so much of the rice sausages my parents would buy at the Hmong deli when I was younger. The chicken is tender and the pepper is super good! *Pad Thai w/ Shrimp--hands down, probably my favorite menu item. It's incredibly flavorful and you can tell this just came out from the wok. Spicy wontons--a tad bit on the salty side, but still good nevertheless. Panang curry--like any standard Thai/SE Asian curry Mango w/ Nampla--I'm telling y'all, the dipping sauce has something in it that makes this unique OR I just haven't tried enough nampla sauces. I can't really describe it other than it's really good and has somewhat of a sweet and salty taste to it. I haven't tried any of their drinks, but my friend really likes the one that looks like tri-color. I took a sip of my other friend's coconut drink and it was good too (it is pretty sweet though). Their service is dependent on the day you go. They tend to get very busy on the weekend, specifically Saturdays (the wait for food and seating tends be long, but it's understandable since this place has gained a lot of traction lately). I've ordered to-go on a Wednesday afternoon and my most recent visit was on a Sunday afternoon where I did dine-in. I got my food in a timely manner on both occasions (considering that on that Sunday my party ordered a lot of food). Other than the wait time for food, the staff has been great and nice during all the times I've visited. Things to note: -You can only dine in with a party of 4 or less due to limited space -Water and utensils are self-serve -You have to scan the barcode at the table you're seated at and order through that link so that it goes under your table number. -If you use card, you get charged a 3% service fee -**It seems like this place is run by a team of three so please be kind and gracious, especially because they tend to get super busy. if you can't wait--you can order in advance and pick up (the app will confirm when your order has been accepted and when it's finished).** I'm not going to lie, I'm probably going to return soon to try one of their noodle dishes.

Yelp
Great food! Would recommend to people who love food. The pad kraw pow is delicious and the kids love the fried bananas.

Yelp
The space is small, expect some wait. The food is really good, I can tell there's a lot of flavour in all their dishes. The fermented ribs are really tangy, good but for the more sophisticated pallet, I wouldn't get them again

Yelp
Papaya salad was so fresh and the pad thai was so tasty. The staffs were very friendly.

Yelp
I tried out this place because of the hype reviews on EatnGo and 4.5 stars on Yelp. Let's just say the food did NOT live up to the hype. The service did not help as well. I ordered Boat noodle, beef tendon soup, and khao man gai. The boat noodle was mediocre and sweet. If you'd never had boat noodle before, then I suppose you would say it was good. The tendon soup was surprisingly good. The khao man gai was over cooked chicken on rice that was steamed in bland chicken broth. Very disappointing as we waited 40 minutes for our food, after ordering it online 15 minutes prior to arriving to the place. This place is NOT a restaurant style place. This place has a "ghost kitchen" style concept. Mostly pick-up orders. They say they have a eating area there, but MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT go sit in the seating area until you have your food PHYSICALLY or the girl at the counter will snap at you. Maybe I went in on a bad day....???
