Beloved Chinese Restaurants, Chinglish Wine Bar and Kosher Chinglish, Close in Summerlin | Eater Vegas

"A modern Asian restaurant called Hot Noods by Chinglish is planned to open in early 2025 at the El Cortez as part of that downtown casino’s $20 million property-wide expansion, and there is hope that Poh Poh’s hand-folded dumplings filled with chicken, chive, and mushroom will be on the menu." - Janna Karel

I was looking forward to eating here and this place didn't disappoint. Very clean dining area. Cool vibe and atmosphere. Service was slow was the only drawback. Maybe just a fluke that day. My favorite dish was the fried soft shell crab. Perfection! I will definitely eat here again.

Google
Great addition to the Downtown Las Vegas food scene. Loved this family owned scratch kitchen serving up plates of Asian comfort food. We ate so quickly that many dishes didn't get a proper picture. Crispy chicekn karaage (kah-rah-ah-gey), cucumber salad, and soft shell crab disappeared as soon as it landed. The ramen game here is legit! Tonkotsu Ramen is not to be missed. Reasonably priced for a casino venue and lots of appetizer options for sharing.

We were so excited to come here but, for us, the food wasn't very good. The staff was friendly and they had only been open a week, but the decor is just average and the food was below. This was just on one visit and other people have loved the food so maybe we need to give them another shot...

Google
This is an excellent new noodle restaurant in El Cortez casino. Prices were good and the food was fantastic. I had the Tonkatsu, and it was really good (spice it up for a good kick)! We plan on going back next week!

Google
The food was pretty good. The broth was not like traditional broth and kind of reminded me of pizza seasoning. The pork chashu was very chewy and not enjoyable to eat. The restaurant is pretty, and the service was decent.

Google
10/10 from the moment we entered to the moment we waddled out from ordering basically the whole menu. Dumplings, ramen, fried green beans, crispy cucumber salad. This food at these prices is rarely seen in Las Vegas. Service was phenomenal. And quick. Perfect for a quick lunch or you can sit there and order the whole menu all day. I anticipate this place to have a line out the door like The Oyster Bar at Palace Station. Cannot wait for our second visit! Cravings are setting in!

Google
The food was very tasty, if your drunk and want something delicious, this would be the place , great casino/restaurant atmosphere, food come out fast, staff was very welcoming and offered up plenty of suggestions. For a new spot for noodles, this is a great spot

Google
I recently visited Hot Noods Noodle Bar in the El Cortez Casino, and it was an incredible experience! The cucumber salad was excellent, and the pork shabu bowl was perfectly made, with everything fresh and well-cooked. The restaurant is opened by the same professional team that brought us Chinglish in Las Vegas, and everything they do is delicious. Highly recommended!

Yelp
If you're craving bold Asian flavors in a unique Vegas setting, Hotnoods is a must-try. Located inside the historic El Cortez Hotel & Casino, this family-owned spot--run by Kitty and her family--serves up a four-course seafood feast that seriously impressed us. We started with their Hot & Sour Soup with pork and shrimp wontons--comforting, tangy, and packed with flavor. Next was the Fried Crab Claw with mango aioli--crispy, golden, and just the right amount of sweet and savory. The third course was Live Abalone served with baby bok choy and a BBQ glaze--tender and delicious. But the grand finale stole the show: a Live 5lb Lobster, done Cantonese-style in a rich creamy reduction over crispy noodles. It was indulgent, fresh, and absolutely unforgettable. Hotnoods combines family hospitality with high-quality ingredients, all in one of downtown's most iconic settings. Whether you're a local or visiting, this is one of those rare finds that delivers something special.

Yelp
Mount Rushmore of Ramen. The Tonkatsu is beautiful. Ken and Kitty are the best. Ask about Sake bombs.

Yelp
Amazing dinner! Ben was our waiter and he was excellent. I had the shrimp tempura and Brussels sprouts appetizer for dinner, and Mike had the Shoyu ramen with added bean sprouts and garlic oil. The Brussels sprouts were very tasty, but the shrimp were amazing. Crispy, not greasy, tender...everything you want in fried shrimp. Mike loved the Shoyu ramen with the add-ons. I tried the black garlic oil and loved it! Here are two things I would change: 1. Add your alcohol menu to the outside menu. We went to the bar to get some horrible wine to bring in, only to find out they had sake. 2. When someone orders appetizers for dinner, bring those with the main. These are two VERY small things. We came here because I watched a YouTube video from Danny the medic...he was spot on!

Yelp
When your name is Hot Noods you better deliver. The tonkotsu ramen was . The broth was rich and they don't skimp on the noodles. The black fungus and green onion were abundant. And the soft shell crab appie was fantastic. The servers were really nice. Id definitely recommend people to come here for their ramen. They also other types like pad Thai etc. the ambiance was pretty no frills. It is inside the EL Cortez hotel so you have to walk through the smoke filled casino to get there.

Yelp
Love the pun name! Had the chicken dumplings and tonikstu ramen with chicken karage. Sorry for The misspelling. Everything was so great! Service was amazing too! Very friendly and quick. Good gem to come to and not crowded at all. AC works great too! Beat the heat!
google avatar

Yelp
Some of the best Tonkotsu Ramen I've had in the city, and the chicken wings were crispy and super delish! I super picky with wings, but these came out crispy and flavorful no sauce needed.

Yelp
This place is a solid 4.5 but we don't do halves here at Yelp. So, I bump it up to a 5 because I got my ramen TO GO, and it was still SO good. It was nearing the closing of the restaurant and there was a chance they would just throw my food together with no thought, some places do that when they are trying to close up. But this was all very delicious. The pork was cooked extra crispy per the recommendation of the hostess who took my order. I asked her if she's eaten most things on the menu and she enthusiastically said yes. I asked between the tonkatsu ramen or the shoyu. She wholeheartedly recommended the tonkatsu and I can see why. So creamy and rich flavors. The pork was perfectly crispy, the egg was cooked to my liking- soft boiled, and was so yummy. There were mushrooms, sprouts, seaweed, and green onions as toppings. Also was some type of chili oil on the side. That was a nice touch. My biggest gripe with the place is $8 for a Thai tea?!?! But I still ordered it lol and you know what it's perfect. Not syrupy sweet. It has a strong black tea flavor with condensed milk and nice and cold. Price point is too high but at least it was how I like it. Can't say much for dining in, but I had great experience getting my food for take out. Would definitely come back and try some of the fried chicken that I heard is good.

Yelp
Unexpectedly good ramen in Vegas. Exactly what we needed after EDC~~~ Our group of 3 swung by Hot Noods on a Tuesday afternoon, were seated immediately. The theme is pretty tongue in cheek, very befitting of Vegas. Super lovely, friendly staff. SHOYU RAMEN: Rich broth with plenty of umami. I was impressed by the quality of toppings and noodles. Everything was quite flavorful and well-balanced. THAI ICED TEA: Heavier on the milk if you're into that. Quite sweet. Not bad. Service was fast. I would definitely come back again for a fast hangover cure...

Yelp
For a Las Vegas Asian place Hot Noods is alright. It has good, quick service and the staff were helpful throughout my visit. The inside is nicely decorated and has a comfortable feel. As for the food, it was just okay. The ramen came out a bit too oily for my taste and the karaage was mostly breading, which was a letdown. The green beans, however, were really good and something I would recommend. Overall, the service was solid but the food could have been better.

Yelp
We arrived to the el Cortez casino at 12:30 on a Friday afternoon, it wasn't crowded and we were seated immediately by the hostess. The restaurant is small but cute and is decorated really nicely. We started with poh poh's dumplings- with chicken as a starter. I keep forgetting to take a pic before digging in, sorry :) we ordered pad Thai and shrimp fried rice. The food was pretty good But if I were to go back, I would definitely make the dumplings my meal! The dumplings were really tasty, overall not a bad meal.

Yelp
I had a play downtown last night and I decided to give the new noodle restaurant in the El Cortez a try. The ambiance is fun starting with the name and the logo. Perfect for Las Vegas. I sat at the counter. In a short time, the hostess/server came with menus--drink and food. I had looked at it online before going and had decided on the pork chashu bowl which the menu describes as--Pork chashu, pickled red ginger, green onion, rice. The wait time was minimal. The chashu was very good but it's a small portion for the price. Also, the rice could be a lot warmer instead of being almost cool. The flavors were excellent and the ginger really highlighted the bowl. For dessert, I asked about the green tea ice cream and that's what I ordered. I was brought vanilla instead (one of their two choices) with no explanation. The restaurant has been open for just about one week so they need some time to get things right. The amiance is fun. I will be back in the future. This is a good addition to the El's food line up.

Yelp
A rare family owned restaurant just off the Fremont street experience in Las Vegas. For a fun casual dining experience the service was world class, the chefs daughter herself greeted us. The tonkatsu ramen was wonderful but I would recommend the chili paste. The dumplings and shrimp were delicious and we also added their simple but very fresh cucumber salad. It was a great experience and we were glad we took a cab away from The Strip for a friendly, delicious, and affordable meal. Highly Recommended

Yelp
The service was quick and the food was so yummy. I had a stomach ache and it really made perfect for this soupy noodles.

Yelp
The food was decent. The tonkotsu broth was not like traditional broth and kind of reminded me of pizza seasoning. The pork chashu was very chewy and not enjoyable to eat. The restaurant is pretty, and the service was good.

Yelp
Wow was this so good! Front of house was so nice and quickly put something together for our party of 7. My family and I had an amazing dinner. Ken our server did so good to go through the menu and get to know us. I

Yelp
Tonkatsu Ramen and dumplings were flavor-full and made a good combination. Wait staff members were also excellent.

Yelp
Great food.We had the shrimp fried rice and the chicken chowmein and they were both wonderful.

Yelp
Noodles were amazing! Service was great. Very nice restaurant. Staff was very helpful and attentive. Family owned, and their dishes are made with love! Definitely will be coming back. Yanara was our server.

Yelp
The food was perfect! We started with the Vegetable eggrolls. One order comes with three rolls. I also got the Veggie Ramen. Yummmm! My spouse got the Chicken Chow Mein. The portions were so large we couldn't finish our meals. Great service that was very attentive to our needs.

Yelp
Get the pork bone broth ramen -- unbelievable!!! Creamy from the boil and filtration process.

Yelp
Wow! Super cool place. Great food and atmosphere!! Love Pad Thai and this place hits a HOME RUN!!

Yelp
When I heard of the El Cortez renovation we went to go check it out. They had a new addition, Hot Noods. I love a good play on words and delicious noodles. This place delivered. Was greeted by the host and she made sure we had enough room for all the food we were about to order. Our server was always present, and made great suggestions on a beer choice. So good that I ordered 2! The DUMPLINGS are a MUST. I restrained myself and did not order all 3 choices. Tonkotsu Ramen was the standout though. Even when it's 120 degrees I would order this bowl of deliciousness. 10/10 experience

Yelp
Having enjoyed their previous restaurant, Chinglish, we decided to try this place @ El Cortez. The food was alright but portions seemed small. Don't think we would go bank. Service was 5 stars!!

Sue B.

Yelp
Hot food! Cooked to order is a real ASIAN STYLE of service! I sampled Poh Poh's Pork Dumpling and Gung Gung Chicken Wings. Both were satisfying! Service was polite and inviting, Luiz was very attentive and food service A hidden gem at The El Cortez! Serving appetizers to noodles to dessert
google avatar

Natalie S.

Yelp
Hot Noods is as awesome as I am. Loved the garlic edamame. The beef bowl (pictured) was delicious (ask for a side of chili oil if you want it to be spicy). The staff was very attentive and friendly. Get the interactive green beans! 5 stars!
google avatar

Yelp
Great food, great company, amazing owners. We had the dumplings for an appetizer and I had the pad Thai with tofu. A handful of vegan options which I love and other dishes you can modify. Wine and Sake was delicious as well!

Yelp
Food was so tasty and Luis our server had amazing customer service! Thank you!!!! I will be coming back again real soon!!!

Yelp
From the people behind Chinglish (RIP), which was enough of a hook to lure me into El Cortez to try their newest concept, Hot Noods (Noodle Bar) for lunch. Atmosphere: Very Vegas. Lots of neon tube art, bright color palette, with noodle-shaped ceiling lights and KPop song-and-dance contests showing on the TVs. Logo resembles the kind of silhouette one might see on a truck's mudflaps. Late-night diner-style plastic covered menus, along with the smallest, thinnest napkins I've encountered. Food- Gung Gung's Chicken Wings ($12): Five pieces (has the standard half-dozen gone the way of the dodo? Only the bean-counters know). Meaty enough, great crispy skin, juicy meat. Thai chili sauce was quite sweet; that and the perceived absence of pepper or garlic seasoning on the wings made for an ultimately unexciting appetizer. Tonkotsu Ramen ($18): Good-sized bowl. Noodles firm, broth almost creamy in consistency. Good tasting, but maybe I should have sprung for the $1.50(!) add-on for the spicy chili paste, as again the flavor was possibly deliberately inoffensive to the taste buds. Also had a $5 can of Calpico. Value: I'd say average for a casino restaurant. Service: Quite friendly. Server also did almost-too-frequent check-ins. Wings took a while to arrive; noodles on the other hand arrived rapidly after placing the order.

Yelp
Enjoyed our dinner although not our first time but rather the third time, it is just amazing! The menu is great, the service was fine and the food is over the top! Give it a try you will not regret it!

Yelp
Amazing food! Awesome ambiance! Fabulous service. Definitely get the dumplings! The ramen and beef bowl were both great.

Rena A.

Yelp
We stumbled into this amazing Asian restaurant!! We had Tonkotsu ramen, beef bowl, karaage, soft shell crabs, and more in a reasonable price. We thought we ordered too much, but all were delicious and we ate them all. The homemade hot chill oil was a bomb. The owner, Kitty is beautiful, friendly, and helpful. Highly recommend to stop here in downtown.

Tee L.

Yelp
Food not bad, portions were smaller than expected and service was prompt as there was really Noone else having lunch. I try to use my comp dollars but was told they didn't accept them unfortunately probably would not go bk...

Lynne S.

Yelp
Service was excellent. Food was average and high priced for the serving size. Not surprising for a casino restaurant though. I'll continue to go to Chinatown and get more elevated food at a much lower price. Just thought I'd give it a shot
google avatar

Jemielleann Q.

Yelp
Spent $100+ on 4 bowls of ramen. The ramen seems decent priced until waitresses throw in extra charges without specifying or letting us know. Aside from that, service was good. I seen management scold staff which was uncomfortable to watch. I would just avoid it if I could. Than again, it's located in the El cortez so what did I expect? 3 stars to the fresh remodel though, looks better.

Rylan K.

Yelp
Not just amazing food but amazing staff as well. We were fortunate to meet the owner; super nice and interactive. Highly recommend this place. If i could put more stars i would.
google avatar

Aryelle V.

Yelp
I was customer here & the way they treat their employees is terrible! The food is also so overpriced. Highly disappointed
google avatar

Todd R.

Yelp
Great little spot to warm you up. The wings were so good and both the Ramen and the Pad Thai were really good.
google avatar

Jason S.

Yelp
If I could give it 6 stars I would. The staff is friendly and attentive. Suggestions were welcome and tasty. The food was perfect. Everyone should come.

Rosa Elaine G.

Yelp
This my first time but will be back! Amazing chicken wings and delicious chowmein. The people were very nice and welcoming. And didn't take too long to bring our food. Congrats on you grand opening!

Greg A.

Yelp
Might well be the best ramen I've ever had. Plus the dumplings were equally impressive. Service was amazing and the fact that this is a family run business with an awesome story is worth the trip. You can't miss this place when you go downtown LV.
google avatar

Anthony T.

Yelp
Everything was fantastic! From the family and friendly feel to the amazing food. Such a great find and absolutely worth a visit.

Kevin B.

Yelp
If you like Ramen, you need to try this. Excellent and the service is amazing. Really enjoyed this.

Cherise F.

Yelp
This baby piece of chicken chashu was $3.50. They don't say that on the menu but of course it's on my receipt as (1pc). I wouldn't have ordered it if I knew it was gonna be that tiny. All the other items were overpriced also.
google avatar

Pamela S.

Yelp
At ElCortez, Ramen, and a few Asian dishes. Nice addition to the Casino. Only been open for a week, can't wait to come again and try other options
google avatar

David G.

Yelp
Amazing vegan and vegetarian ramen options. Best downtown ramen with great presentation and friendly team. Highly recommend.

Yelp
I am a local concierge downtown. I went to Hot Noods for my lunch and all I can say is it was a HUGE DISSAPOINTMENT. The food was not flavorful. The Hostess wore a skirt with no undergarments. As I was trying to eat her bottom was exposed as she bent over to place a menu down at a table next to me. I saw it all... Who wants to eat their meal while seeing someone's arse??!! Let alone it being in your proximity. I spoke to someone, and she did not empathize with me. It was distasteful seeing that while your trying to enjoy your meal. It was disgusting and I did not get assistance or empathy from those working. STAY AWAY!
google avatar

Dennis S.

Yelp
At first glance was pretty impressed with the look of the restaurant it brought good vibes and was really clean. The staff was also very attentative giving great service from start to finish. The best part is the food while it may seem like a ramen shop it blows away some of the better chains across vegas. I am a huge fan of Hot Noods and I am gonna be returning for sure.

Yelp
Girlfriend was really excited to go here but unfortunately neither the food nor the service stacked up. We made a reservation before coming in and were immediately told we had to be re-seated when we sat down because they were shooting a commercial. Mind you, it's 3PM on a Saturday in a very busy casino. I understand scheduling can be difficult but this was clearly the priority for the day, not the customers. At least not us. It took us 20 minutes to get water, during which we watched the manager come over and serve Sake to the people next to us, that came in after us, while not acknowledging our bare table once. We then watched these same people get all of their food, which they again ordered after us, before we even got our appetizer. All in all it took about 40 minutes to get our food from when we sat down. Most importantly, I found my rice to be dry and the dumplings to be uninspiring. They were $14 and generously taste like they come from a Costco frozen bag. I asked if the manager would comp the $8 Thai Tea refill (12oz, mostly ice) for my girlfriend due to all the trouble, and he literally said he would 'barter' with me and give it to us if we left a Yelp review. Well, here you go. Good luck to this place. Le Thai is right across the street btw.

Yelp
I used to go to their Cantonese spot in summerlin, and they did not dissapoint! Same high quality food, slight twist to the menu, but everything was so tasty and fresh. Food came out beyond fast, and quality service matched it. highly recommend!
