The Biggest Las Vegas Restaurant Openings in February 2025 | Eater Vegas

"A fast-casual outpost inside the El Cortez that leans into bold neon design and Asian comfort food, helmed by chef Po Fai Lam as part of the casino’s $20 million expansion. It serves approachable, flavorful dishes inspired by its predecessor, including a hand-folded successor to Poh Poh’s chicken dumplings filled with chicken, pork, or vegetables with mushrooms and chives. Reservations available via OpenTable." - Janna Karel

Beloved Chinese Restaurants, Chinglish Wine Bar and Kosher Chinglish, Close in Summerlin | Eater Vegas

"A modern Asian restaurant called Hot Noods by Chinglish is planned to open in early 2025 at the El Cortez as part of that downtown casino’s $20 million property-wide expansion, and there is hope that Poh Poh’s hand-folded dumplings filled with chicken, chive, and mushroom will be on the menu." - Janna Karel

Delicious and not expensive food. Everything we've tried was fresh and tasty. Highly recommend their dumplings and Pad Thai. Cucumber salad was good, but I would prefer a bigger chunks of cucumbers. Service was friendly but could be quicker. When we came there, the place was empty, and we still had to wait for 5 minutes to get a menu. Not disappointed and would highly recommend this place.

My boyfriend and I ate at Hot Noods earlier this month, and we loved it. It’s a cute, family-owned restaurant inside El Cortez. The staff was welcoming and attentive, and the food was delicious, affordable, and generously portioned. Pictured: Brussels sprouts, veggie rolls, veggie ramen, and tonkotsu ramen. We definitely recommend it!

Google
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Hot Noods! So much so we came back two days later. Service was outstanding and food comes out fresh and fast! Great place to check out if you're downtown and wanting a quality and quick meal. Very chill atmosphere in El Cortez. We highly recommend it!

Man oh man did this place blow me away!! Came here with my family as we were walking through the El Cortez and this place did not disappoint!! The service was immaculate, the decor was spot on and the food was nothing short of amazing. We all got a little bit of every thing but the showstopper for me had to be the Tonkatsu Ramen. The broth was rich but not too heavy. The pork literally melted in my mouth and all the toppings were a perfect edition. I’m looking forward to coming back again!!

The service and atmosphere were amazing! Everything was so yummy, I especially loved the chicken wings, dumplings, and pork chasu bowl. Would come back again!

Google
Excellent food, chill vibe, superior service! If you want a low-key, but soulful soup experience, dip your tongue into Hot noodles. Lovely velvet seats matched with a sumptuous and savory pork bone broth noodle soup that will leave your spirit and mind feeling relaxed and satisfied. One of the best food experiences ive ever had inside of a casino.

Looking for the BEST Chinese food (and tongkotsu ramen and Thai iced tea)??? (Or, perhaps you were fortunate enough to have experienced a place called Chinglish and were hoping to experience it again?) Well, LOOK NO FURTHER!!! (Do not let the brilliantly clever and hilarious name throw you off 😅😉) This new restaurant from the same brilliant minds, talent, and expertise that brought us Chinglish, is now established in a cozy corner of the El Cortez. The menu has some items hailing from the old Chinglish menu, but they've brought new dimensionality to it with (among other items) their tongkotsu ramen, and Thai iced tea. Not their traditional wheel house, but having been taught in the Ways and adding their masterful perspective, their broth is nothing short of heavenly. And the Thai iced tea is brewed daily, in-house, from actual tea leaves, not the cheap powdered or concentrate stuff... Just magical! Much more could be said but we did, and would again, travel from [San Diego] just to eat there!!

Google
I was looking forward to eating here and this place didn't disappoint. Very clean dining area. Cool vibe and atmosphere. Service was slow was the only drawback. Maybe just a fluke that day. My favorite dish was the fried soft shell crab. Perfection! I will definitely eat here again.

April S.

Yelp
Veggie Ramen Soup was perfect... Not to mention I Love Brussels sprouts... the flavor I could eat them all day everyday...and pay for it later Hospitality was outstanding.... We are in town from Alaska with a touch of know hospitality y way of our Southern roots ... We will definitely be back and recommend to others.

Yelp
This is my new go to in Las Vegas! Fantastic food, pork dumplings and dipping sauce, pork noodle bowl and eggs are the best! We will stop in again this trip to try the wings. 4 thumbs up for this family res

Yelp
The food is amazing! We had the dumplings and soft shell crab, phenomenal! Service is good, it's family owned and the owner is super friendly and informative. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Hot Noods is a casual Asian Restaurant and Bar located in the El Cortez Casino and Hotel in Downtown Las Vegas. (Parking is free). They offer several different appetizers, a variety of ramen, a few noodle and rice dishes, vanilla and green tea ice cream and more. Inside it's kind of Las Vegas looking with neon, modern light fixtures, and clear pink table tops. We had to get the chicken Poh Poh's Dumplings because they were amazing at their former restaurant Chinglish. Here I think the recipes changed. They are still good but the dumpling is different and so is the sauce. We were both BLOWN AWAY with the two ramens we tried. (Tonkotsu & Veggie) BOTH had so much going on with them. WOW! Even the chili paste was something special. Also even the corn in the veggie ramen was packed with flavor. My only peeve or criticism is that the Brussels sprouts should have been cooked slightly longer. Our server was very sweet and efficient. This Ramen was so many levels up than from most places that I have tried. WOW!

Yelp
So it was a Friday afternoon and we were hanging out in downtown Fremont everything's going great ... soon enough we felt hungry and we ended up at the El cortez Casino. The place has definitely changed a lot since I was there many years ago... either way we were feeling hungry so we ended up at hot noods. From the outside, looking in - It looked really cool. The vibe was a funky - kind of fresh feel and we both felt like some yummy soup to go with this cold winters evening. Upon arrival, Check-in was pretty easy. You check at the front desk and they ask for your phone number and basically that's their check-in system. service so far was really good. We sat down. I ordered the beef bowl, chicken wings a beer and my husband got the shrimp fried rice. Everything was pretty good and about 10 minutes in they finally brought our appetizers which we ate and those was super delicious and hot. I got the chicken wings. 30 minutes past and all of a sudden this new server popped down our bill. I looked at my husband and was confused and I'm like why are we getting a bill and I told her we hadn't even gotten our main course yet! She looked super shocked ... obviously she took over someone else's shift and quickly snatched up the bill and walk straight back to the kitchen after excusing herself . She returned to our table and apologies for the inconvenience for the mixup and she said she'd get straight onto it however it might be another 15 minute wait. I looked at my husband and I said OK and she quickly ran back to the kitchen. However, after she left, we both looked at each other and were like I don't wanna wait another 15 minutes. We've already been here for half an hour so I went back to the to the kitchen area called her and I said we were going to go. We've been waiting here for half an hour and couldn't wait anymore so she apologized again and said don't worry about paying for anything - We'll take care of the tab and we walked out of the restaurant. Long story short - we really didn't get to experience the food at hot noods. Maybe it was great I don't know but my experience is a one star

Yelp
Foods are all excellent tasty, specially Tonkats Ramen broth is so deep taste and delicious and I like their poch eggs. Will definitely come back again. Server is very kind and fast. Thank you so much Hot noods !!!

Yelp
Hot Noods located in the El Cortez Downtown free parking if you are staying or eating at the restaurants/gambling. Friendly service HOT Noods nice and hot just the way I like it :).

Yelp
I gotta say this place was off the charts. First time to EL Cortez. Wanted something quick to eat went to their diner as soon as you walk in the front entrance, they said we had to wait 20 mins, as we look around with about with 20 open tables. So ended up, browsing around and found, HOT NOODS best idea ever, food was delicious. Service was awesome. I have to recommend this to anybody that wants to eat some Ramen. Will be back soon. Send.

Yelp
This place is a solid 4.5 but we don't do halves here at Yelp. So, I bump it up to a 5 because I got my ramen TO GO, and it was still SO good. It was nearing the closing of the restaurant and there was a chance they would just throw my food together with no thought, some places do that when they are trying to close up. But this was all very delicious. The pork was cooked extra crispy per the recommendation of the hostess who took my order. I asked her if she's eaten most things on the menu and she enthusiastically said yes. I asked between the tonkatsu ramen or the shoyu. She wholeheartedly recommended the tonkatsu and I can see why. So creamy and rich flavors. The pork was perfectly crispy, the egg was cooked to my liking- soft boiled, and was so yummy. There were mushrooms, sprouts, seaweed, and green onions as toppings. Also was some type of chili oil on the side. That was a nice touch. My biggest gripe with the place is $8 for a Thai tea?!?! But I still ordered it lol and you know what it's perfect. Not syrupy sweet. It has a strong black tea flavor with condensed milk and nice and cold. Price point is too high but at least it was how I like it. Can't say much for dining in, but I had great experience getting my food for take out. Would definitely come back and try some of the fried chicken that I heard is good.

Yelp

Yelp
Unexpectedly good ramen in Vegas. Exactly what we needed after EDC~~~ Our group of 3 swung by Hot Noods on a Tuesday afternoon, were seated immediately. The theme is pretty tongue in cheek, very befitting of Vegas. Super lovely, friendly staff. SHOYU RAMEN: Rich broth with plenty of umami. I was impressed by the quality of toppings and noodles. Everything was quite flavorful and well-balanced. THAI ICED TEA: Heavier on the milk if you're into that. Quite sweet. Not bad. Service was fast. I would definitely come back again for a fast hangover cure...

Yelp
Love the pun name! Had the chicken dumplings and tonikstu ramen with chicken karage. Sorry for The misspelling. Everything was so great! Service was amazing too! Very friendly and quick. Good gem to come to and not crowded at all. AC works great too! Beat the heat!

Yelp
When your name is Hot Noods you better deliver. The tonkotsu ramen was . The broth was rich and they don't skimp on the noodles. The black fungus and green onion were abundant. And the soft shell crab appie was fantastic. The servers were really nice. Id definitely recommend people to come here for their ramen. They also other types like pad Thai etc. the ambiance was pretty no frills. It is inside the EL Cortez hotel so you have to walk through the smoke filled casino to get there.

Yelp
We arrived to the el Cortez casino at 12:30 on a Friday afternoon, it wasn't crowded and we were seated immediately by the hostess. The restaurant is small but cute and is decorated really nicely. We started with poh poh's dumplings- with chicken as a starter. I keep forgetting to take a pic before digging in, sorry :) we ordered pad Thai and shrimp fried rice. The food was pretty good But if I were to go back, I would definitely make the dumplings my meal! The dumplings were really tasty, overall not a bad meal.

Yelp
First time here since they opened. Right off the casino floor so you get the casino buzz from the El Cortez Casino. Solid service and the food was spot on. Will definitely be back to try more dishes.

Yelp
I had a play downtown last night and I decided to give the new noodle restaurant in the El Cortez a try. The ambiance is fun starting with the name and the logo. Perfect for Las Vegas. I sat at the counter. In a short time, the hostess/server came with menus--drink and food. I had looked at it online before going and had decided on the pork chashu bowl which the menu describes as--Pork chashu, pickled red ginger, green onion, rice. The wait time was minimal. The chashu was very good but it's a small portion for the price. Also, the rice could be a lot warmer instead of being almost cool. The flavors were excellent and the ginger really highlighted the bowl. For dessert, I asked about the green tea ice cream and that's what I ordered. I was brought vanilla instead (one of their two choices) with no explanation. The restaurant has been open for just about one week so they need some time to get things right. The amiance is fun. I will be back in the future. This is a good addition to the El's food line up.

Yelp
Absolutely obsessed. This place understood the assignment and then aced it. The ramen was rich, flavorful, and clearly made with love (and probably magic). The broth? Deep, savory, and impossible to stop slurping. Noodles were cooked perfectly--no soggy nonsense here. The staff was friendly, fast, and actually seemed happy to be there, which is always a green flag. Came hungry, left full, happy, and already planning my next visit. If you're even thinking about coming here, stop thinking and go.

Heidi S.

Yelp
Always a go to for us!!!! Delicious food and great service!!!! It was my pick for my birthday dinner last trip and will always be a stop for us!

Yelp
If you're craving bold Asian flavors in a unique Vegas setting, Hotnoods is a must-try. Located inside the historic El Cortez Hotel & Casino, this family-owned spot--run by Kitty and her family--serves up a four-course seafood feast that seriously impressed us. We started with their Hot & Sour Soup with pork and shrimp wontons--comforting, tangy, and packed with flavor. Next was the Fried Crab Claw with mango aioli--crispy, golden, and just the right amount of sweet and savory. The third course was Live Abalone served with baby bok choy and a BBQ glaze--tender and delicious. But the grand finale stole the show: a Live 5lb Lobster, done Cantonese-style in a rich creamy reduction over crispy noodles. It was indulgent, fresh, and absolutely unforgettable. Hotnoods combines family hospitality with high-quality ingredients, all in one of downtown's most iconic settings. Whether you're a local or visiting, this is one of those rare finds that delivers something special.

Yelp
Some of the best Tonkotsu Ramen I've had in the city, and the chicken wings were crispy and super delish! I super picky with wings, but these came out crispy and flavorful no sauce needed.
google avatar

Eve C.

Yelp
The service was quick and the food was so yummy. I had a stomach ache and it really made perfect for this soupy noodles.
google avatar

Kelly B.

Yelp
The food was decent. The tonkotsu broth was not like traditional broth and kind of reminded me of pizza seasoning. The pork chashu was very chewy and not enjoyable to eat. The restaurant is pretty, and the service was good.
google avatar

Grayson G.

Yelp
For a Las Vegas Asian place Hot Noods is alright. It has good, quick service and the staff were helpful throughout my visit. The inside is nicely decorated and has a comfortable feel. As for the food, it was just okay. The ramen came out a bit too oily for my taste and the karaage was mostly breading, which was a letdown. The green beans, however, were really good and something I would recommend. Overall, the service was solid but the food could have been better.
google avatar

Toni C.

Yelp
Great service. Great food. Really good pricing. Fried rice is amazing. They don't have soy sauce on the tables so that is a minus

Yelp
Wow was this so good! Front of house was so nice and quickly put something together for our party of 7. My family and I had an amazing dinner. Ken our server did so good to go through the menu and get to know us. I

Yelp
Mount Rushmore of Ramen. The Tonkatsu is beautiful. Ken and Kitty are the best. Ask about Sake bombs.
google avatar

Yelp
The food was perfect! We started with the Vegetable eggrolls. One order comes with three rolls. I also got the Veggie Ramen. Yummmm! My spouse got the Chicken Chow Mein. The portions were so large we couldn't finish our meals. Great service that was very attentive to our needs.

Matthew C.

Yelp
All I can say is amazing. Everything about this place is awesome. The dumplings are the best dumpling you'll have around. The service is top notch. Love this place will definitely be back.

Daniel S.

Yelp
A rare family owned restaurant just off the Fremont street experience in Las Vegas. For a fun casual dining experience the service was world class, the chefs daughter herself greeted us. The tonkatsu ramen was wonderful but I would recommend the chili paste. The dumplings and shrimp were delicious and we also added their simple but very fresh cucumber salad. It was a great experience and we were glad we took a cab away from The Strip for a friendly, delicious, and affordable meal. Highly Recommended
google avatar

Josh S.

Yelp
When I heard of the El Cortez renovation we went to go check it out. They had a new addition, Hot Noods. I love a good play on words and delicious noodles. This place delivered. Was greeted by the host and she made sure we had enough room for all the food we were about to order. Our server was always present, and made great suggestions on a beer choice. So good that I ordered 2! The DUMPLINGS are a MUST. I restrained myself and did not order all 3 choices. Tonkotsu Ramen was the standout though. Even when it's 120 degrees I would order this bowl of deliciousness. 10/10 experience

Yelp
Wow! Super cool place. Great food and atmosphere!! Love Pad Thai and this place hits a HOME RUN!!
google avatar

Jules C.

Yelp
Amazing dinner! Ben was our waiter and he was excellent. I had the shrimp tempura and Brussels sprouts appetizer for dinner, and Mike had the Shoyu ramen with added bean sprouts and garlic oil. The Brussels sprouts were very tasty, but the shrimp were amazing. Crispy, not greasy, tender...everything you want in fried shrimp. Mike loved the Shoyu ramen with the add-ons. I tried the black garlic oil and loved it! Here are two things I would change: 1. Add your alcohol menu to the outside menu. We went to the bar to get some horrible wine to bring in, only to find out they had sake. 2. When someone orders appetizers for dinner, bring those with the main. These are two VERY small things. We came here because I watched a YouTube video from Danny the medic...he was spot on!

Anthony R.

Yelp
Food was awesome. Service was awesome! Cheap food comparative to the rest of Vegas and it was fast too. 100% will come back next time in town.
google avatar

John E.

Yelp
Having enjoyed their previous restaurant, Chinglish, we decided to try this place @ El Cortez. The food was alright but portions seemed small. Don't think we would go bank. Service was 5 stars!!

Dj D.

Yelp
From the moment you walk in, the vibe is fun, modern, and just a little cheeky -- exactly what you'd expect from a spot with a name like this. The menu has a great mix of playful dishes and seriously good flavors, and everything comes out piping hot and beautifully plated.

Sue B.

Yelp
Hot food! Cooked to order is a real ASIAN STYLE of service! I sampled Poh Poh's Pork Dumpling and Gung Gung Chicken Wings. Both were satisfying! Service was polite and inviting, Luiz was very attentive and food service A hidden gem at The El Cortez! Serving appetizers to noodles to dessert

Ed R.

Yelp
Great food.We had the shrimp fried rice and the chicken chowmein and they were both wonderful.

Yelp

Yelp
Get the pork bone broth ramen -- unbelievable!!! Creamy from the boil and filtration process.

Yelp
Great food, great company, amazing owners. We had the dumplings for an appetizer and I had the pad Thai with tofu. A handful of vegan options which I love and other dishes you can modify. Wine and Sake was delicious as well!
google avatar

Yelp
Hot Noods is as awesome as I am. Loved the garlic edamame. The beef bowl (pictured) was delicious (ask for a side of chili oil if you want it to be spicy). The staff was very attentive and friendly. Get the interactive green beans! 5 stars!

Yelp
Food was so tasty and Luis our server had amazing customer service! Thank you!!!! I will be coming back again real soon!!!

Yelp
Amazing food! Absolutely the best Ramen I've ever had. The pad thai is also delicious. Honestly, everything I've had here, I've loved. Great family owned restaurant.

Yelp
From the people behind Chinglish (RIP), which was enough of a hook to lure me into El Cortez to try their newest concept, Hot Noods (Noodle Bar) for lunch. Atmosphere: Very Vegas. Lots of neon tube art, bright color palette, with noodle-shaped ceiling lights and KPop song-and-dance contests showing on the TVs. Logo resembles the kind of silhouette one might see on a truck's mudflaps. Late-night diner-style plastic covered menus, along with the smallest, thinnest napkins I've encountered. Food- Gung Gung's Chicken Wings ($12): Five pieces (has the standard half-dozen gone the way of the dodo? Only the bean-counters know). Meaty enough, great crispy skin, juicy meat. Thai chili sauce was quite sweet; that and the perceived absence of pepper or garlic seasoning on the wings made for an ultimately unexciting appetizer. Tonkotsu Ramen ($18): Good-sized bowl. Noodles firm, broth almost creamy in consistency. Good tasting, but maybe I should have sprung for the $1.50(!) add-on for the spicy chili paste, as again the flavor was possibly deliberately inoffensive to the taste buds. Also had a $5 can of Calpico. Value: I'd say average for a casino restaurant. Service: Quite friendly. Server also did almost-too-frequent check-ins. Wings took a while to arrive; noodles on the other hand arrived rapidly after placing the order.

Yelp
Amazing food! Awesome ambiance! Fabulous service. Definitely get the dumplings! The ramen and beef bowl were both great.

Yelp
Some of best soups and noodles available in Vegas at a reasonable price with the casino atmospherelove this place

Rena A.

Yelp
We stumbled into this amazing Asian restaurant!! We had Tonkotsu ramen, beef bowl, karaage, soft shell crabs, and more in a reasonable price. We thought we ordered too much, but all were delicious and we ate them all. The homemade hot chill oil was a bomb. The owner, Kitty is beautiful, friendly, and helpful. Highly recommend to stop here in downtown.
