Boston’s Best All-You-Can-Eat Restaurants | Eater Boston

"This Chinatown restaurant is a favorite for hot pot (check out more great local hot pot options here.) Its all-you-can-eat deal costs about $30, including the meat and seafood — one of the best deals in town. Plus, there’s not a strict time limit on dining in." - Erika Adams

Best Chinese Hot Pot Restaurants in Boston | Eater Boston

"Right by Boston’s Chinatown gate is Hot Pot Buffet, a late-night institution beloved by hungry locals and students. The all-you-can-eat menu continues to be a great bargain, despite price increases over the past few years. The buffet menu features a large selection of protein, seafood, tofu, and vegetables. For those planning a first venture into hot pot dining, this is a great place to sample ingredients one might not find at other restaurants." - Valerie Li Stack

Delicious all-you-can-eat hot pot in Boston Chinatown! My family and I love coming here when we crave delicious all-you-can-eat hot pot. We ordered two broths, one house broth and the other spicy Malay. Both broths were so delicious, and the dipping sauce was good as well. I like to add extra pepper and garlic to mine. Delicious every time! I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for hot pot and an all-you-can-eat style.

Google
Impressive selection of seafood and meet. Broth is decent. Everything is good for the price, typical Chinese hotpot. Taste decent, love the seafood- so fresh. Perfect for late night dinner. Definitely will come back. You get some fruits as dessert

I may be biased because I don’t like hot pot, but my friends really liked it. The mango slushy was amazing. The place’s hygiene is not up to the mark, the cutlery was dirty, the restroom were stinking.

Google
Cannot say enough wonderful things about this place! It was our first time ever having Hot Pot. From the moment we walked in, we were greatest and seated very quickly. The service was immaculate- they wasted no time getting our orders, drinks, utensils, and broths. When we chose our food, it was out within moments. One of the waiters actually took the time to explain how to do everything with recommended cook time and all after telling him it was our first time. I had asked for utensils because I wasn’t comfortable using chopsticks, but we mentioned we wanted to learn. He came back with “training chopsticks” he banded together himself to help us. It was SO easy after that. Anytime we needed something, like a refill or extra napkins, the staff was on it. Other than that, The food was delicious and fresh. We were recommended to come here from a friend (we’re closer to Providence!!) and it was the best decision and worth the 1 hour 40 min drive. We will definitely be back. Everything was perfect.

Google
Food: not fresh, look like been frozen for long time. Meat is dry, tofu (i dont even wanna describe as u can see in photo). Mala broth not even spicy, everything just bland. Even the fruit is dry bc it stored for a long time. Service: terrible. They just throw me a paper to choose the food. We sitted for 2 hours but they not even refill the broth for us anytime, while other table they checked frequently. The lady served us give us really bad behavior when I ask something. I dont even know they have bbq or fruit until i saw another table ordered. The price $35/each for diner not worth it overall.

Google
This is my second time going there. This store is very cheap, the food is fresh, there are many service staff, and their attitude is very good! The location is also easy to find. If you go to Chinatown, you can still choose to try it.

It's a very cool experience! They give you too much food!! HUGE selection of hot pot ingredients. Great service. You should definitely try it!

Google
I was surprise to see how big the restaurant it is. First time in a place like this one. Great experience and good food. Service was great as well. The only negative point is that is not the cleanest restaurant. Other than that, everything was good.

Yelp
I just love the fact that you can order and try everything without breaking the bank. The broth is fine and so are the accompaniments (ask for fresh garlic, peppers, and scallions) veggies are fresh and so are the meat, seafood a bit lacking but it is buffet so I'm not expecting too much. All in all a great value for what I ordered (which was everything). I would go back for lunch on my own especially on a chilly day, and spend a couple of hours listening to tunes on my AirPods, working on my laptop, and dipping away.

Yelp
Hot Pot Buffet is one of those places you go to that's open late night (until 2 AM) and if you're SUPER hungry. They offer AYCE hot pot. You can order meats, veggies, & seafood here. The quality of their food is all right, not the best. I find that for the $/person, I would much rather go to an a la carte spot that offers higher quality meats, ingredients, & more flavorful broths because to be honest, the bill comes up to about the same. I'd say, this is an okay place to go for AYCE hotpot. They are good for big parties who do not mind going here and are open late. Other than that, I wouldn't go here on my own.

Yelp
Terrible, Garbage, Trash I don't even know how this place is still open. I'll make this review fast and easy. Rice was hard (all 6 bowls that we ordered) felt like it was scooped from the bottom. Mushrooms were SOUR like they were old, and beer was Expired. Waiter was also forgetting things and had to ask for things multiple times. Also the workers will talk bad behind your back in chinese... STAY AWAY. The language barrier was never an issue anywhere else, but here that was never the issue, the food and customer service is.

Yelp
This is a must try hot pot buffet in the heart of Chinatown. This all you can eat hotpot restaurant is great if you're hungry. There isn't really a time limit like most buffet style places which is great, and the cuts of meat of delicious. I recommend the spicy broth! The menu is large and service is great. Highly recommended requesting to sit upstairs too! Definitely try this place!

Yelp
Came here for dinner while wandering around Chinatown. We got promptly seated upon arrival and the service was friendly. Like a lot of AYCE buffets, it's pretty straightforward. They give you paper and pen to check off what you would like. We got a variety of different things. I must say that I was kind of surprised when we got the things we checked off since it was a little misleading. The sausage that they had in the menu were actually hot dogs. There weren't a lot of sauce options but it was good enough for my friend and me. There's unlimited meat, veggies, and seafood and at that price point, it's definitely an amazing value. The food won't be super high quality for an AYCE buffet but for a casual dinner with friends is great. This place definitely fit the bill of what we were looking for -- an inexpensive yet filling dinner.

Yelp
This is a really solid place to come to for hot pot. We usually get the house broth and the spicy broth, which is really flavorful. It's all you can eat, so you can check off whatever you want and they'll bring it to the table. I usually get a couple kinds of steak, crab legs, shrimp, salmon, white fish, quail eggs, an assortment of veggies (bok choy, chinese broccoli, mushrooms, etc), and white rice. They have MANY more offerings, but that's just what I usually go with. You can ask for more sheets to get more whenever you want, which is great. I definitely recommend Hot Pot Buffet as a tasty, inexpensive all-you-can-eat option.

Yelp
My go to hot pot place! It's no frills but great for beginners, solo diners, and groups. I have never had to wait and they've never been out of anything. This is a great place to have hot pot and the price is the cherry on top.

Yelp
Decent place for hot pot with good selection. Decent service. Not the cleanest place in the world.

Yelp
I took my family here since they wanted to try hotpot and I'm so glad I did. It's an AYCE hotpot place and they have a diverse selection of meats, seafood & veggies cooked in choice of broth. We got the crab, shrimp, fish cakes, fish balls, chicken shrimp dumplings, lamb, watercress, bak choy, mushrooms, udon, flat rice noodles, and rice. Our server so kind and also made us feel welcome at the restaurant. The ambience is very homey and my family had a great meal!

Yelp
For the price you pay ($25 or so for lunch and then around $30 for dinner), you can't really hate on Hot Pot Buffet despite the quality of the meat/seafood not being top of the line. They give you an Ikea pencil and a small menu to fill out for each item that they have. You can order away to your heart and stomach's content until they have decided that they are losing money from your ridiculous appetite (definitely guilty of this back in the college days). Service is decent - most servers will respond if you get their attention and then bring you out your order. As is typical for Asian restaurants, they will probably leave you alone while you gorge. There are some more intimate seats available for couples but there are also long tables for communal meals with large crowds. Definitely worth a visit if you are starving. IG: Feastcoastoffense

Yelp
This place is where you go if youre really hungry and want a quick hot pot fix. Just like any other buffet, the quality is not high but it's not that bad either. They only have one sauce and it's pretty decent to me. Their broths are on the bland side, literary barely any flavors but they also charge extra for broths on top of the bufett price. Service is a hit or miss, it's all depends on the time. The thing they should really improve on is the restaurant cleanliness.

Yelp
What are your most disappointing realizations in life? Finding out the truth about Santa or the Tooth Fairy, seeing taxes take away a large amount of your income, or realizing that your metabolism slows down eventually and you cannot (should not) have that 100% sugar in your bubble tea? How about seeing Hot Pot Buffet go from the king of hot pot in New England to what it is today? For years, Hot Pot Buffet was the best deal in the New England area for AYCE Hot Pot. They had the best price, a large menu with all the expected hot pot favorites including a wide variety of seafood options (AYCE crab!?), plenty of seating (three floors), and decent quality food. It had been worth battling traffic and limited parking around Chinatown to come here. While the decor wasn't the greatest, let's face it. It doesn't matter. The goal of coming here is to stuff yourself to the point that you wish you wore looser pants. My group and I were always looking forward to our next trip here with some coming monthly or every other month for 8 years. Our most recent trip was filled with food that looked and tasted like they had been sitting in the back of a freezer for years. The quality of the meat was very poor. The imitation crab meat seemed as if it was an imitation of imitation crab meat. Additionally, the service was severely lacking. Food took far longer to come out. Many menu items checked off on our sheet were never brought. We would ask three different staff members about an item and eventually received it an hour later. Thinking that maybe we were just unlucky with a bad batch, we ordered a second round of food only for the quality to be just as poor and more items left off. Lastly, multiple glasses of water were stained with food and broth. The only positive was the spicy broth still has that nice flavor and kick to it, and the price still cannot be beat for AYCE. While this was previously my favorite place for hot pot and has given me a few extra pounds over the years, this most recent visit had us hugging the toilet for a few hours this morning. Thank you for the years of memories, Hot Pot Buffet. This is farewell.

Yelp
Food selection is good with a lot of seafood choices. House special soup base was flavorful and the spicy was pretty spicy for those who like it! They do pretty well about making sure your pot stays filled with soup but some things that you mark on your list may not come so we had to bug waiters a couple of times.

Yelp
Lunch'd here with the fam. This spot came recommended in Boston's Chinatown district so I was excited to try for myself. The restaurant is two stories affording these guys the ability to entertain almost any party size. We sat upstairs and the space was huge. Upon seating, one of the servers passed out their signature dipping sauce in which could be dressed with chilli peppers, fresh diced garlic, and green onions. From there, you can select the type of broth(s) you want for your hot pot. We chose a spicy broth and then a more mild one for my niece. Once the broth arrives, you check off all the different types of vegetables, protein, seafood you want for your unique hot pot experience. We chose a little bit of everything and ate our hearts out. It is unlimited so be careful how much you order -- you don't want to be one of those wasteful buffet diners especially given how expensive food in general costs these days. Seafood and beef that we ordered were fresh and tasted great once cooked in the broth. If you have young hungry teenagers, this is a good choice to fill their stomachs up completely for a flat price.

Yelp
Really good hot pot app you can eat it was good service they had lots of options the dumplings were really good

Yelp
Incredible. The best part about this was that it was buffet style. So we were able to try unlimited meats and sides. The service was excellent as well. All the staff were quick and attentive, especially with it being a very busy restaurant. I liked how some of the tables had multiple burners, so it was perfect for a group of people. This is my first time trying hot pot and I'm so glad that I did!

Yelp
You really can't beat this deal for unlimited meat, seafood, and veggies for a hot pot place. As a party of 4, we pigged out with 2 broths, 6 servings of meat, 4 kinds of seafood, a bunch of vegetables and noodles and I can't even remember the rest. If you're looking for something super spicy then the spicy broth is for you. Even with the crazy amount of food, the quality was pretty decent. The portions of the meats are nicely sized, too. The only thing I noticed that wasn't great was the imitation crab. It had an unusual texture and tasted more like a fish cake. The service isn't spectacular and sometimes you have to wave down a server, but they get the job done quickly. This is a great place to take hot pot beginners who want to try everything!

Yelp
On a Wednesday night, my friend and I decided to try Hot Pot Buffet, intrigued by the prospect of $30/person AYCE. At 6pm, I was able to get a table without a wait; the establishment was ~20% full. The various meats seemed to be of decent quality for the price point - no freezer burn, obvious lack of freshness, etc. 4* The broth, however, seemed lacking. I got the split pot - half spicy, half not. The "spicy" half would only be spicy to someone who thinks paprika is spicy. The non-spicy half seemed too light, like a watered down broth. Additionally, the base dipping sauce, a satay dipping sauce, tasted unnaturally sweet. Satay sauce does not normally taste like that. -1* Immediately upon entry, I noticed a faint odor permeating the establishment that smelled like copious amounts of cleaning agent covering up something smelly, but not completely able to. -1* Overall, the AYCE price point is not able to overcome other shortcomings. One visit is enough for me, I think.

Yelp
Meets expectation. Imagine you meet a straightforward guy that looks great on paper with a wide variety, but often times gives you yellow poor quality meat, a little bit of attitude when he services you, is cheap and reasonable, makes you pay extra when you want his premium meat, makes you nag when you want more, but at the end of the day fills you up. Well, that guy, is Hot Pot Buffet. Simple, straightforward, meets expectations. Side note: * $30/person * does not offer dessert * variety: prime rib, short rib, lamb, beef tongue, squid, salmon, salmon, dumplings, kabocha, taro, noodles, udon, rice, rice cakes, gluten fried dumplings, bok choy, water cress, Napa, pork blood, enoki, trumpet mushrooms, shrimp ball, tofu, bean curd, shrimp, quail eggs, rice * only 3 different sauces: sacha sauce, hoisin, soy sauce

Yelp
This was my first experience with hot pot, and luckily I was with a "regular" who knew what to do. Everything was delicious, and seemed fresh. We did have to flag down a server a few times for more food, but it was delivered quickly and the staff was polite. I'm excited to try it again.

Yelp
Our first meal in Boston was at an AYCE hotpot on Thanksgiving night, which felt appropriate at the very least because of the large quantity of food we ingested. I'm not sure I like the decor. We were seated on the third floor, which was quiet, unlike the lower floors. There is a nautical theme on all four walls, which seems odd for a hotpot spot. Unlike NYC's hotpot spots, there is only one sauce and it was handed to us at the start. We got the spicy broth and the black chicken broth. The spicy broth is actually spicy, which is always appreciated. We ordered a variety of meats and fish: lamb, beef cuts (brisket, ribeye, etc.), salmon, imitation crab, mussels, scallops, along with garnish: watercress, tofu skin, fried tofu, etc. One major point: the meat portions are large, and within two orders we were utterly full. The service is fine; we're used to better at other hotpot places. But otherwise, at $23/pp (minus broth) it is an absolutely great deal.

Yelp
Let me tell you about Hot Pot Buffet. This place is truly unassuming. Dated decor, carpeted floor, a bar full of quiet strangers happily eating their hearts out. Some sit with AirPods in, in the zone, focused on one thing only: consuming unlimited hot pot. To me, Hot Pot Buffet is heaven on earth. The food is delicious. The service is polite. And the vibe, oh the vibe, truly judgement free. I go in, alone or with a friend, and sit eating the (very) spicy broth, tears streaming down my face, bearing a huge smile because at Hot Pot Buffet, I am home. Plus it's open until the wee hours of the morning-a welcome solace after a night out. I love this place. If I could give 100 stars I would.

Yelp
This place is slowly becoming one of my favorite places for AYCE hot pot. I've never waited to be seated here and the service is super fast. I love how there's a good variety of seafood and there's no extra charge for it. There's no sauce bar, but the barbeque sauce that they do provide is pretty good. I always make sure to ask for a side of garlic and cilantro. I also like getting the mala soup as well as the house special for the broths. Can't wait til the next time I'm back!

Yelp
My boyfriend and I were looking for an AYCE hot pot place so we tried Hot Pot Buffet since Chinatown didn't have many other AYCE options. The AYCE price was ~$35 per person. The interior of the restaurant was pretty dated and plain, but there was plenty of seating and the vibe was warm and welcoming. I loved their house dipping sauce (which was their only sauce option), but I can understand how others may find it limiting. Service was quick and we received our food minutes after we ordered. The beef was mediocre in quality, but they offered a wide selection of other items including seafood, dumplings, fish balls, veggies, and noodles. Our favorites were the Fuzhou fish balls, cuttlefish balls, beef tendon, fish cakes, and enoki mushrooms. I would definitely come back for the quick service, reasonable AYCE price, and good variety of hot pot menu items.

Amelia Y.

Yelp
Worst buffet experience I've been to in Boston (coming from someone Chinese). They only offer one sauce that's very curated towards the traditional Chinese, it's something only my dad would eat. Meat doesn't come out in great quality, soup is not spicy enough, interior isn't the cleanest. Also, many reviews mention that they're cheap and a bang for your buck?? Don't see how this is possible because the bill came out to be the same as Happy Lamb... would much rather preferred to gone to Happy Lamb instead.

Yelp
Literally I was way too impressed by this hotpot buffet! Coming from new york, I never thought hotpot buffet can include seafood, not to say quality unlimited seafood! The meat was also really good quality with a huge variety and the same goes for the veggies. Overall, it is definitely a place I will come back again and again and again. Oh right, technically it has a 90-min time limit but given we come on a not that busy Thursday evening, we ate for like well over two hours and the staffs are still really nice about it and even ask us whether we want to add more Also, a small tip, you can ask for two hotpot flavors with 2 more dollars and I think it is a really worth it, so definitely recommending it too!
google avatar

Ryan A.

Yelp
My wife and I stumbled on this place during an October snowstorm. The windows were all fogged up and it seemed like the place to go, and boy was it! The Hotpot is always delicious, there are lots of options to put in your pot, and the veggies are always fresh. This is a great place to bring friends (maybe not a first date tho) and it's AYCE so you don't leave hungry. A word of warning: the mala broth is delicious, but it starts out spicy and keeps getting spicier as it boils so by the end of the meal it's basically lava. I mean it's worth it, but be forwarned.

Yelp
If you're looking for a casual and affordable AYCE hot pot spot, look no further. Hot Pot Buffet has been my go-to hot pot shop for the last 5 years, and I have nothing bad to say about it. It's not your fancy, trendy hot pot shop with Instagram-worthy interiors, but it's open until midnight every day and it's the cheapest hot pot shop in Boston. The management and staff there are also fantastic. They're all extremely kind and donated a lot of gift cards to my college's fundraiser back when I was a college student organizing events. Not sure why this place doesn't have a higher rating, but they're a local business with fantastic service, food, and prices. Can't wait to come back again for the trillionth time :)

Yelp
Came here on a Monday night at 8:30 pm and there was a good amount of people there. It's an AYCE spot with a lot of vegetable, meat, and seafood selection. There's not many hot pot AYCE spots that have seafood. At the price point, the selection is good. They offer one dipping sauce which is the bbq satay sauce. The meat was average quality because the beef had a gamey taste to it. I did find a short curly hair in the hotpot towards the end of my meal so that was unappetizing. I should've told them but I was practically done with my meal. If I didn't find that, I would've given this place 4 stars.

Yelp
Gotta say, this place was not our first choice for hot pot on NYE, but when we were told to wait 45 mins in the rain at the place we thought we had to go to, this "backup" came to the rescue and I'm so glad it did! We walked in at 7:45pm and the place was only 1/2 full and we were seated immediately. Their lack of patrons had us worried, but it turns out we just happened to show up in a lull, because within 15 minutes dozens more people arrived. I've only eaten hot pot a few times, but really appreciated that this place was all you can eat at a fixed price. It allowed us to try some fun food options that we might have been too hesitant to try if we had to pay extra for them. In the end, the pork balls, chive dumplings, udon noodles, pumpkin and prime rib were some of our favorites. 100% would come back here and it would be our FIRST CHOICE for sure! Notes: I'm a spicy food fan, but be warned that their spicy broth option is SPICY. It was delicious and great for flavoring the food cooked in it, but I would of liked to drink some broth during my meal and found the spicy broth far too spicy to drink. Thankfully my husband got the house special broth and it was perfect for sipping! Crabs were a bit difficult to eat. Make sure to ask for a cracker to help ease the process. (We opted to try the imitation crab after my husband spent 25 mins dealing with the shelled crab. We know imitation crab is a mix of miscellaneous seafoods, but it was tasty and way easier!) The shrimp were not deveined. Something to be aware of as it adds time and energy to the otherwise nearly instant gratification style meal.

Yasmin T.

Yelp
The sauce is what makes this place. This hot pot you just can't beat! All you can eat for around $34-36 for lunch/dinner. I've been going here the past 7 years & I will continue I love it here.

Yelp
Nothing like it for the price. Incredible service and nice ambiance. Quality of food may not be top, top class but for the buck it's up there.
google avatar

Precious L.

Yelp
The food was okay. It wasn't as spicy as it used to be. The restaurant wasn't too noisy or crowded which is definitely a plus. The price did increase by about $2, so be mindful when you go. My table ordered soju and we were asked for our ID's which is definitely another plus. Overall, I'll keep my previous rating of 3/5 stars because their beverage options are expensive and you can't bring outside food.

Yelp
Oh. my. god. This place is incredible. Whoever came up with this restaurant concept (also its three stories tall???) is a genius. Came here on a Saturday dinner with a friend. The buffet is $27 tax and tip not incl. AMBIANCE: Nothing to spectacular here. Just seeing a lot of tables with electric stoves on. Restaurant was simplistic and quite clean. PROS: Oh my god the price. Its so cheap! Apparently pre covid for lunch its priced at ~$15 per head, but due to covid they're only charging regular dinner prices for lunch as well. There is a selection of four types of broths. Not too much options here, but we can opt for the dual pot so we got the mala pot with the herbal soup. I loved the herbal soup, but personally for me I thought the spicy mala pot was not as capsaicin loaded as I wanted to be. This could be a pro or a con depending on person. The amount of selection is HUGE. You also get various seafoods, ranging from clams, mussels, crab (lol what), crab legs, prawns, in addition to your regular hot pot offers (sliced meats, veggies, carbs etc). There was so many options and for the price that is incredibly hard to beat! Sauce wise - there is no sauce bar and the servers bring up a soy sauce sacha style mix. Honestly, I didn't mind, but that might deter some people from enjoying this experience. It's covid, so I understand why the restaurant wanted to take this approach. Service was fast and attentive. Food came out fast. No complaints here. OVERALL: Honestly, we came out of the restaurant complaining not being able to walk home. I think its true... places like this does do that to people... sometimes ;)

Yelp
We were looking for a hot pot place to celebrate the Harvest Festival. There are about 5 locations on yelp, but we wound up coming here because our mom loves a buffet. Overall pleasantly surprised despite its 3.5 rating. Broth was good, good selection of veggies/meats. Their land animals were strong but their seafood wasn't the freshest. Also, don't order the quail eggs; we wonder if they are even real eggs as their yolks never cooked leading us to believe the eggs themselves may be synthetic. Broth- we chose the black chicken broth. Would highly recommend; it gets more delicious overtime as you cook your foods Their stellar meats are the beef family; definitely try the prime beef. Beef tongue is tough but get if you like. Their beef tendon was also good. I was disappointed in their seafood selection. Their clams, shrimp, etc just didn't feel fresh. Salmon also didn't taste that great. Vegetables; good and clean and good variety. My fav is always napa cooked to softness. If you are a hot pot fan, then you know that the winter melon, taro, pumpkin must soak for at least 20-30 mins to get ALL the flavor and softness that comes with that creamy texture. Super rewarding. You get some super sweet oranges slices at the end. Would come back here but avoid seafood and eggs. Stick to beef and veggies for the night, mop up with the taro/pumpkin combo.

Yelp
a staple in my life. i can always count on fat cow hotpot buffet. my favorite is house special broth and beef tongue. i have so many memories here. shout out to the waiters who work there, they are gassed.

Yelp
I quite enjoyed my experience here. Fresh ingredients. Nothing awry. Would have preferred more sauces to dip with but server brought me some wicked hot chili oil when I asked for some. The selection feels overwhelmingly large but most of the items are outstanding in quality and freshness. I probably ordered too much for 1 person. Yes, my photo spread was all for me. But I managed. :P Loved that they were using induction burners with my pot. Very responsive heat.

Alexsandra S.

Yelp
Food is good, the service is okay and the ambiance is fine ! I just didn't like the beef balls....

Yelp
Please please please go somewhere else for hot pot. I know this is the first big building in china town so a lot of visitors just walk in. It's like the Denny's of hot pot. Dirty, cheap, oh did I mention dirty? The service is horrible they never come back after your first order, they won't give you what you ask for only what they think you will eat. I've legitimately found roaches on our table and floor before. PLEASE GO SOMEWHERE ELESE for a good hot pot experience, you're in Chinatown! There are so many options (I recommend Happy Lamb or The Q)

I use to go there so often like 2 times a week until my husband complained that he got diarrhea every week eat there lol But for me I'm fine. I think the soup was ok. I like the fatty beef and beef tongue back. They also have crab, it's not too fresh but it's fine for that price. I will go back when my husband not around

Yelp
Easily one of the most underrated spots in Boston. I've been to many hotpot restaurants, and this establishment is hard to beat for the price!!! It is $27 without tax/tip for AYCE hotpot (yes - that's including meat) and the quality is really good as well. The staff is very friendly and they were always keeping an eye out for refills of water and for soup base refills. Reservations are not needed - this place is HUGE. They also have a AYCE BBQ section upstairs which I have tried on several locations. Their AYCE BBQ is good however, I always tend to like their hotpot a lot more. Definitely do not miss out - other hotpot restaurants are great as well but this place definitely has a mom/pop vibe and the food is so good.

Yelp
I would have given this place 0 stars if I could. Read bullet # 4 first! Multiple reasons: 1) waiter's did not bring soup to refill my pot, instead they let the soup run super low where I couldn't even cook the food. I think they do this on purpose so you can't order more food or it slows down how fast you can reorder. Mind me, I've only ordered once since I've been there. This was for a party of two. And no I did not order like crazy at the beginning. 2) waiter's turning a blind eye even though I raised my hand a couple of times to get their attention. Again, acting like I wasn't there. This may seem harsh, but this is the truth. 3) I wasn't done eating and they hand me my check. I would say this is ok if no one in my party was eating, but I was constantly putting food in my mouth. Only been there for a good hour on a Friday night. Additionally, I know Fridays are usually packed for most restaurants which is why i went there a little past 6 PM. Not saying this is a good time to go, but it's the calm before a wave of people shows up. 4) BEWARE, they've charged me extra $$ on my credit card bill. I was lucky to have taken a picture of my receipt before I left because they DID NOT provide me with a receipt. The receipt was clearly and legibly written so there shouldn't have been confusion. They should be happy that I even tipped them farely given the lack of service. I do not have high expectations for those to criticize, I only ask that you serve me and that's all. To summarize, take a picture of your reciept or ask for one.

Yelp
I've been here a few times! They disappointed me. The service was really bad. The things I wanted on menu didn't come out. Even though I order it a few times. We had to ask the waitress and waiter a few times for our items. But yet we did not get our items. Their excuses were that the kitchen only had two chef and it's rush hour!

Yelp
Portion and price. Can't beat all you can eat surf and turf hot pot. Lovely ambience for self-love or double dates and anything in between!

Yelp
First experience at a hot pot buffet! Literally all you can eat, just keep picking different meat veggie noodles etc. and they just keep bringing plates out as long as you can keep eating! A little pricey, around 80 dollars for two people but go there hungry and you can definitely get your moneys worth.

Yelp
It is a good place for all-you-can-eat hot pot. I have to say that this place is not the best if you have high standards for food quality. I would rate their food quality as mediocre. I went there on a Friday at 2pm with another friend for a late lunch. The service was quick. The meat and the vegetables was generally fine, but the seafood was below expectations.

Yelp
This is an amazing place for hot pot. The unlimited supply of veggies and meats make it such a great deal. The five different broths as a base are delicious. The spicy broth gets hotter and hotter as it cooks. It is very good but becomes too hot for me after it cooks. The mild chicken broth was as good as I have had. The staff is very attentive to you needs and very friendly. For the price Hot Pot is highly recommended.

Yelp
All you can meat??? Say less, Imma be there soon haha. Everyone knows that Hot Pot Buffet is the only hot pot place in Boston that's worth your every penny! I will be honest, because it's "all you can eat" hot pot place, the quality of the meat/seafood isn't the greatest but compared to the price that I am paying, I am still happy to go there multiple times :) They have a variety of meat, veggies, seafood, and rice/noodles to choose from but the servers never failed to deliver or miss any of my orders because they offer a paper that has all the ingredients that the customers can fill out with a pencil. (Speaking of servers, all of the servers I have encountered at Hot Pot Buffet were all hard-working and genuinely nice that I greatly appreciated their services!) However, please be aware that it takes quite a while for them to deliver your order so I recommend filling out the paper in the middle of your first round of hot pot so that you don't have to wait a long time for your second round. + Oh just a tip, if you want spam in your hot pot, don't go during lunchtime because spam is only offered during dinner time. + Also, I recommend their beef tongue! I took my friends who have never tried beef tongue before and they love Hot Pot Buffet's beef tongue now and can't stop talking about them! + Their broth is REALLY good! Especially their regular broth that might seem bland but isn't at all in real life! Definitely one of my favorite broth of all time!!!! + Their hot pot sauce is EPIC! THE BEST HOT POT SAUCE out there in the world. I would genuinely buy their hot pot sauce if they sold it separately because I always miss their sauce whenever I am at other hot pot places. I need to know their recipe!!!!! They also have KBBQ & hot pot buffet section as well, but I would recommend only taking advantage of the hot pot buffet section. The KBBQ they had didn't meet my expectations due to the quality of the meat but if you want to take advantage of "all you can eat KBBQ," please be my guest! Also, I would not recommend ordering boba from this place. It has a strong artificial scent/ taste that I wasn't able to handle. If you want boba, just drop by other boba places in Chinatown afterwards! Even though I have said some negative things about this place, I genuinely love Hot Pot Buffet and appreciate their existence in Boston. I will keep on visiting this place as long as I stay in Boston!
