Wonderful afternoon with the kids at this place, they enjoyed the kids area themed with art and interactive place by an Australian Artist. We hade a walk through of the gallery on multiple levels and then finished off our day with a nice lunch at the restaurant on Level 4. It’s a bit of a gem in plain sight this one. Very helpful and informative gallery staff made for an all round great experience!

Fantastic venue for cultural experiences in their many theatres and rooms. The location is great with an awesome outlook across the Nerang River to Surfers Paradise which you can see if exploring some of the outer walking tracks.

We had a fabulous day immersing ourselves in a day of art and culture. We absolutely loved the exhibition and the atmosphere and the architecture and architectural style and design of the museum. The art of display was very interesting 👩🏼‍🎨🎨🌸🦋

An absolutely lovely cultural hub! Plenty of places to sit, spaces to explore and things to do here! The gallery itself has many levels (although the ground level gallery was closed when we attended), and takes around 1-2 hours to fully immerse yourself in. A wide collection of art, and with HOTA being a new gallery, I can see the collection only improving in future. There is also a space with a cinema complex, that was also hosting numerous comedy shows and workshops. The cinema does not host movies very regularly, and I would note that most of its showings are more artsy, rather than big box office hits. We also attended the Fridays on the Lawn event, with free live music and food stores available - it was lovely to be able to relax in this space, and I can see this being a fave, especially in warmer months. Would highly recommend!

Always a lovely day out. Saw the new Renaissance exhibit. Was a little underwhelmed as we thought the Van Gogh was elevated to the next level and this period of Art was such an epic time in history, it could have showcased so much more and given more depth. However, we were still delighted to attend and it was worth seeing. HOYA is always a place we recommend visiting when on the Gold Coast.
