Hotaru Madrid

Great experience, the decoration was amazing as well as the service. The food was very good, a lot of variety but a bit overpriced in my opinion (we were 4 and paid almost 200€ without wine). The desserts are a must (see pics).

This restaurant is amazing! The service is excellent, and the food is delicious. We recommend trying a little bit of everything, but our favorites were the conchas finas de Málaga, the short rib gyozas, the pork belly brocheta, and the plantain pie for dessert.

Delicious sushi experience in the heart of Madrid. Ordered two plates of maki sushi (totally recommend the tiger rolls!) and some nigiri, all of them excellent. The place is beautifully decorated and the staff are friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend!

Excellent Japanese food restaurant. Nix, our waitress , was super friendly and super attentive. The cocktails, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, were very good. You can try different Sakes. As for the food, spectacular. The best gyozas we've tried. The Red Dragon and Spider roll were amazing, a delicious flavor with super fresh and unique ingredients. The Crispy Tuna Tacos were so good and with a lot of flavor. The Truffle Sashimi and the Wagyu Roll are a must try, they were delicious. This restaurant is really worth it!

The restaurant is nice with a warm friendly atmosphere. The food was expensive but delightful. All of our food was broght in a timely manner. Our water was kind and spoke very good English. The tiger roll was great. 5/5

We had a great experience at Hotaru. The sushi is very fresh. I had a bowl and loved it. Our server was Jenny and she was very friendly and professional. Place definitely on the expensive side though.

The food was excellent, love the drinks as well made by Andy the Bartender. I will definitely comeback!

Went to dinner with my wife and two adult children. We were so looking forward to this evening at Hotaru Madrid. Quite literally the worst service at a fine dining restaurant that we’ve ever had. To begin, the hostess was shrill and rude. More importantly, the servers consistently forgot orders we had placed-both cocktails and food orders. The server took our initial order and then we never saw her for 45 mins to an 1hr when we tried to place an order and she told us the sushi bar - at which we were sitting - had closed. We were never advised of a time to place final orders as they would be closing. Food was good, not great. Quality spirits in the bar and a talented bar was tender. I can’t recommend Hotaru. Food a 4. Service a complete miss. Straight zero.
