L'OURS

"A modern, stylish vibe, depicted by high-quality fixtures and fittings and a profusion of wood and stone, sets the Alpine scene. The quality of the ingredients is equally superlative and chef Franck Reynaud reverently respects the seasons. His classical recipes with a modern twist are rolled out in a surprise menu of 5 to 8 courses and served by a polished front-of-house team. Enticing list of Valais wines. Treat yourself to a night (or two) in the Hostellerie du Pas de l’Ours, as stylish and cosy as the restaurant." - Michelin Inspector

Hostellerie du Pas de l'Ours (Crans-Montana, Swiss Alps) 1 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"At first glance the Hostellerie du Pas de l’Ours could hardly look more traditional, its weathered, rough-hewn wooden structure standing atop even rougher stone foundations. Inside, however, it’s a different story, its wood-paneled weightiness lightened by crisp contemporary design and high-tech modern comforts. The L’Alpage Spa offers the full complement of restorative treatments, including an indoor pool that, weather permitting, opens to the Alpine air. And two restaurants serve the Hostellerie’s guests: the Michelin-starred fine-dining L’Ours and the more rustic Bistrot des Ours, both under the direction of chef Franck Reynaud." - Tablet Hotels

Every year when we pick up my sister from camp, our family stays at this amazing hotel—and it’s become one of the highlights of the trip.||The staff are truly wonderful—always professional, attentive, and kind. A big thank you to Rémy, the manager, who goes above and beyond every time we visit. He’s incredibly thoughtful and helpful, and it really shows how much he cares about the guests. It’s rare to feel so looked after while still being able to fully relax.||In addition, the rooms are beautiful, cozy, and peaceful. The views are absolutely stunning—every time we open the curtains, we’re reminded why we love coming back. The food is always delicious and fresh, and the service is excellent.||This hotel has become a place full of memories for our family, and we truly look forward to staying here each year. It’s a rare find—calm, elegant, and full of heart.

This place is so unique, so special, such a gem, in the perfect spot, with the most kind, friendly, funny staff with whom we’ve ever been associated. My wife and I came honeymoon, two discerning 50-year-olds, who have seen the world, and this was it. The check in was friendly and fun, the rooms are unique and well positioned to see the mountains and the sun, the facility is warm friendly unique, the breakfast is elevated, the bistro and service is exquisite. From start to finish this is just magically fun and I say humorous. I say that because REMY at the Front Desk was by far in my lifetime the most helpful, funniest, animated host/concierge/friend/staff we have ever seen. Go now, go now before the World Cup in February because after the World Cup, the secret will be out!

We booked a long weekend for my wife's 40th birthday- we wanted a cosy, authentic, boutique hotel with great service, food, views and late summer hikes.||To say the stay was perfect is an understatement. All the team were attentive to our needs and helped make my wife's birthday a weekend to remember.||We will return!

An amazing experience which combines great food and the chef's art. Everything was perfect. Impeccable service and great advice from the sommelier: we discovered excellent wines from the Valais region.

We had a lovely weekend at this little mountain hotel. The room (upgraded) was absolutely divine. Amazing meal at the Michelin star restaurant. Incredible service. Beautiful spa and massages. They shuttled us to and from wherever we needed to go (lifts, restaurants, etc.) I would not hesitate to return!

Stayed in this boutique hotel during the week of low season so it was very quiet and peaceful. Hotel staff are excellent, attentive and friendly, above and beyond that made my stay extra special. It was a surprise that they followed up and checked in on the day of my arrival to make sure when they can organize the transfer for me. I took the train from Geneva to Sierra/Siders, then changed to Crans-Montana funicular going up, the hotel just arranged the free transfer from there which is easy for those who don’t drive. ||Love the room design in the Alpine chalet decor with the modern touch that doesn’t feel outdated. Breakfast is amazing, especially with the view of snowy mountain is such an unique and unforgettable moment.

Our family has been to various hotels in the Alps for skiing, but Hostellerie du Pas de L'Ours is heads and shoulders above the rest. The staff members are not only extremely knowledgeable and professional, but they can read your mind and anticipate your needs beforehand. One family member was due to arrive late at night, and without my asking, the hotel staff suggested and prepared a lovely snack that was well received. They seemed to always know when you're thirsty and would appear with a water bottle magically. We stayed in the Le Sommet Suite, which has a thoughtful floorplan with fantastic views. The hotel shuttle was also readily available to take us to and back from the slopes. The food was delicious and the spa was amazing. This hotel simply just gets everything right.
