Hotel A Casa Di Mà Lumio Calvi

We stayed at A Casa Di Ma as part of an EU holiday visiting London and a number of areas in France and Spain. Corsica was definetely a highlight and our 5-night stay at A Casa Di Ma was the best accomodation over the entire period. Our room had everything we needed and the restaurant well deserved its Michelin rating. To top it off the Maitre De had worked in our native Sydney so chatting to him was a delight. In addition Caroline and Constance at the front desk were, without a doubt, two of the most professional, helpful staff that we have met throughout our travels. Great service. The hotel is a 15 minute drive from Calvi and other sites but we had a car and the drive was quite easy. Besides Lumio and Calvi we visited Bastia and Bonifacio - and Corsica is a destination we highly recommend.

We only ate at the restaurant - completely blown away by every element: food was so creative and incredibly wonderful on so many levels, the staff were really welcoming, explained each course and overall were excellent ( particularly Ricardo who looked after us so well). We had eaten at a One Star Michelin restaurant the previous evening, not too far away, which was far inferior on many levels. This restaurant should have the Star!

The main reason to stay here is the outstanding restaurant downstairs. The rooms are clean and simple with good air conditioning. Would have preferred to have a shower than just a bath. Some very good staff and some pretty average.A taxi into Calvi is 40 euros each direction do car hire probably best.

Service is great, friendly personnel, well located, amazing michelin restaurant. Hotel is high quality boutique. Options around for suoermarket, bakery, beaches but you must rent a car. Island not necessarily suitable for safe walking.

We loved Casa di Ma! It was in a great location to explore the north/west of Corsica and the hike to Occi, an abandoned village, begins right behind the hotel. Staff were AMAZING and very friendly and we adored the pool with the 2 Orlinski gorillas. It was especially lovely at night all lit up. The restaurant was another incredible feature - the service made us feel so special and fancy and they accommodate vegetarian preferences. This was a fantastic place to stay.

A truly outstanding dinner in the hotel restaurant was one of the highlights of our 8 days in Corsica. The hotel was easy to find, our room was spacious & comfortable, and the staff were extremely friendly & professional. ||||The quality of the pool and its surrounds came as a very pleasant surprise too. But the restaurant service & cuisine were the best things of all.

Absolutly fantastic. The restaurant is excellent on all dimensions. Although the location may not be as impressive as say la Signoria (another one-star restaurant), I would rate A Casa di Ma much higher. Definitely recommend. Staff is super friendly and helpful too.

Spent the weekend at this premium hotel in Lumio, which is conveniently located on a hill halfway between Calvi and l’Ile Rousse. ||The hotel boasts a Michelin starred restaurant, excellent of course, with a very wide range of top quality local food and wine. You can dine al fresco on the deck outside the restaurant from where the views over the gulf of Calvi are superb. I didn’t bother dining elsewhere, it was so convenient to stay at the hotel and enjoy quality time in the evening. ||The view is even better from the bedrooms, which offer a small balcony where one can sit and read a book with the best view of the Calvi Citadelle below. Other than that nothing particular to mention in the bedroom, which offer standard amenities you will find in any luxury hotel. ||The staff was exceptionally trained, friendly, caring and professional, with the hotel manager incredibly involved in day to day activities, setting very high standards of service. I felt at home minutes after checking in. ||The hotel offers electric mountain bikes to rent which is a treat to explore the incredibly beautiful area. ||Overall, I’d comfortably say you can’t beat this hotel. I highly recommend it as well as this wonderful part of Corsica.
