Hôtel-Restaurant A l'Ami Fritz

I used only the restaurant. A pearl in Alsace. The chocroute was divine. Highly recommended

Lovely rooms and super food and service.|Very nice town.|We will come back again.|Alsace is a nice place to come. You can walk and ride.

Ottrott is a pretty and quiet village in the Vosges mountains and popular with hikers and visitors to the monastery and castles nearby. Worth visiting. |The rooms are medium size. Shower-room good size. |A smart restaurant serving dishes more in liking with Bavarian food, sauerkraut, wiener schnitzel, sausage and other dishes. Good staff and professional. |A building project behind the hotel is in progress. This may be negative but we were not staying around the hotel during the day and it did not bother us. There is a courtyard in-front of the hotel for eating and drinking, otherwise the hotel has no garden.

A very pretty quiet village in a popular walking area due to the ruined castles and monastery in the hills around. |The hotel is in a great location, the concierge very helpful and rooms clean and good standard. |At present there are building works next door so the peace is disturbed during the day. I cannot say it was much of a problem as we were not at the hotel during the day hours but out walking.|The restaurant menu swings towards veal, sauerkraut and dumplings. Breakfast was functional and could easily be improved with more variety.

The L'Ami Fritz was our first night's accommodation as part of a bike tour. It was a lovely hotel and our room was very spacious and nicely soundproofed. We ate dinner in the hotel's restaurant and had a very enjoyable meal that catered for my food allergies. Breakfast was in the restaurant too and provided great buffet with Nespresso coffee available.

Big Thank You to the entire team at Hotel & Restaurant l’Ami Fritz. We had our dinner on two occasions during our holiday in Alsace and we visited many local cafés and restaurants - this one is definitely exceptional, food is absolutely delicious and best quality, the staff is very nice and the outside dining atmosphere is simply a breathtaking experience. We cannot wait to visit Ottrott again.

Nice refurbished standard room. Airco present, good to know for a possible next visit during the summer. Very convenient large family room for the young parents travelling with two children. Charming restaurant where we had a set four course dinner. Especially the black rice and cod dish were very good. Quite large portions. A nice fresh tasting kind of bavarois dessert. Large winelist with expensive wines. We had a good bottle of Alsacian pinot grigio. Very friendly staff.

This hotel was amazing and the room we had with a small private balcony was wonderful. They also have a wonderful breakfast and a beautiful private spa facility with Jacuzzi tub, sauna and steam room that you can reserve! Staff was SENSATIONAL and would recommend this wonderful hotel to anyone who wants to have a wonderful and quiet getaway
