"Since it was founded in 1903, this iconic Chamonix establishment has been run by the same family. Chef Damien Leveau’s regional score (Arctic char and whitefish from Lake Geneva, snails from the Mont Blanc area, locally bred pork and lamb) underscored by produce from the herb garden, such as oxalis, lovage, citrus thyme, savory, lemon balm and sage, is served in a stylish, understated interior. The spruce hamlet is also home to Maison Carrier, which serves authentic regional fare in a former Alpine farmstead." - Michelin Inspector

I really want to thank this hotel staff as I need to cancel my trip to head back to the U.S. due to the new proclamation related to H1B announced in Sept 19th. After hearing the news early in Sept 20th around 8:10 AM, I had to cancel my trip and headed back immediately with only staying in Nice one day. The hotel staff was super super helpful after hearing my story, offering refunding my next two days cost. Overall the room was bigger than I thought, I was not allowed to check in earlier but the staff allowed me to make a change in their restroom. The best location, near old town and beach. Small balcony was really stylish. Highly recommended!! I will definitely book it again!

Lovely hotel. Very clean bed was comfortable very modern interior. Breakfast had a good variely of choices. staff really friendly. The hotel is in an excellent location with the beach and promenade accross the road. Within walking distance of both the train station and bus station. Would highly recommend.

Rooms are clean, updated as well as cleaned daily with towels refreshed. The bathroom doesn’t have much storage and we noticed that the finish on the bottom of the bathroom door is bubbling due to the water from the shower hitting it. Our garden view includes a view of the street. That being said, we are happy with our room. However, the reception desk staff sit and visit and do not acknowledge you as you come and go, not even a smile.

We give it a 8/10. We stayed at the hotel 2 nights. It is within walking distance of the beach, the morning flower market, and several restaurants. The room had a balcony with a nice view facing Nice. The bed was comfortable, the restroom was a reasonable size, and we liked the decoration throughout the room. The elevator to the room was a little on the small side (and slow), but not the smallest elevator we have been on in France. The staff was helpful. We asked for an iron and they lent us one. The hotel room was in a safe location and near a car park. It took us about 5 minutes to walk from the underground car park to the hotel. One downside was on the morning starting our second night at the hotel the air condition system for the whole hotel went out. Multiple guests complained and the hotel staff would always say they had no idea when it would be fixed. We spent the last 1 ½ days of our time at the hotel without AC. It wasn’t that horrible to us since it was in May, but you might check into if this happens often if you are planning to visit the hotel in the summer.

I had a great stay here. The rooms were very clean, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the entire property was well maintained. Everything felt comfortable and welcoming from the moment I arrived. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a pleasant and hassle-free experience.

The overall appearance of the hotel is fine, but the level of cleanliness, especially in the bathroom, was disappointing. • I found long black hairs in the bathroom • The bed showed signs of mold • The carpet had visible brown stains This really impacted my stay and did not meet the expected standards of cleanliness.

The rooms are very small, you can't even pass between the wall and bad. Furniture is new, design is nice. Also people that need quite space probably won't like the place as the concerts outside are loud and the end late.

Prime location. Short walk to the beach and tons of places to eat and shop as soon as you step out of the door. Public transportation is very convenient. We were also a stone's throw away from a Jazz Fest. My husband and I didn't mind. The music was awesome, but loud and rattled the windows even when closed. We had an issue with the TV not working but we were promptly moved to a different room. Problem solved. I would skip paying extra for the breakfast. Plenty of really good and inexpensive options outside of the hotel. Overall, we plan to return.
