"Since it was founded in 1903, this iconic Chamonix establishment has been run by the same family. Chef Damien Leveau’s regional score (Arctic char and whitefish from Lake Geneva, snails from the Mont Blanc area, locally bred pork and lamb) underscored by produce from the herb garden, such as oxalis, lovage, citrus thyme, savory, lemon balm and sage, is served in a stylish, understated interior. The spruce hamlet is also home to Maison Carrier, which serves authentic regional fare in a former Alpine farmstead." - Michelin Inspector

We give it a 8/10. We stayed at the hotel 2 nights. It is within walking distance of the beach, the morning flower market, and several restaurants. The room had a balcony with a nice view facing Nice. The bed was comfortable, the restroom was a reasonable size, and we liked the decoration throughout the room. The elevator to the room was a little on the small side (and slow), but not the smallest elevator we have been on in France. The staff was helpful. We asked for an iron and they lent us one. The hotel room was in a safe location and near a car park. It took us about 5 minutes to walk from the underground car park to the hotel. One downside was on the morning starting our second night at the hotel the air condition system for the whole hotel went out. Multiple guests complained and the hotel staff would always say they had no idea when it would be fixed. We spent the last 1 ½ days of our time at the hotel without AC. It wasn’t that horrible to us since it was in May, but you might check into if this happens often if you are planning to visit the hotel in the summer.

There was a concert next to the hotel and the hotel didn’t think it is important to inform guests about this prior to arrival. Sending an email trying to sell a taxi shuttle was important enough tho. Banging music in the room as if you are standing right at the stage. Upon asking for a solution I was simply informed that my rate is non refundable but I can of course check out without a refund.

Prime location. Short walk to the beach and tons of places to eat and shop as soon as you step out of the door. Public transportation is very convenient. We were also a stone's throw away from a Jazz Fest. My husband and I didn't mind. The music was awesome, but loud and rattled the windows even when closed. We had an issue with the TV not working but we were promptly moved to a different room. Problem solved. I would skip paying extra for the breakfast. Plenty of really good and inexpensive options outside of the hotel. Overall, we plan to return.

Great location. The room and balcony (privilege double with garden view and balcony) were smaller than I expected, but it was clean and comfortable and the staff very helpful. The option to have breakfast in the room was great and we could leave our luggage for a few hours after we checked out.

We had a fantastic stay! The hotel is in an ideal spot — just 100 meters from the Promenade des Anglais in one direction and Place Masséna in the other. The rooms have been stylishly updated, as has the breakfast area. The bed was super comfortable, and breakfast had a great variety, available from 6am to 11am which was really convenient. We’ll definitely be returning

Hotel is in a great location, very close to the seafront and to the main shopping areas too. The rooms are modern and pretty spacious. Only issue we had was the aircon seemed quite poor - didn't cool the room enough even on lowest temp setting and most powerful fan setting. The nights were quite warm and it made sleeping a little uncomfortable. Opening the window wasn't an option as the hotel is on a main road and our room was directly over a bus stop so the noise meant this wasn't a practical option. All in all we enjoyed our stay here though - the staff were friendly and attentive.

Absolutely loved this boutique hotel with parking! Beautiful bedding and room, very friendly and professional instruction for late self check in. Next day we were allowed to park until next guest arrives and on foot we enjoyed exploring Cannes. Merci!

The location is really good, next to supermarket, tram and bus stops. The have a place to fill your bottle with water and sparkling water. The breakfast is average, but it’s worth for the rest of the benefits. The staff is very friendly too.
