Live in LA on the west side and Love to do staycations at the Hotel Amarano! Beautiful, spacious rooms, thoughtful decor, and incredible service team- including front desk, manager, housekeeping, room service and restaurant/bar staff! Feels like home. They do whatever they can to make your stay great. The rooms are spotless which I appreciate! Dining menu in the restaurant is not expansive, but each selection is done well! Great bartenders, Harvey and Norm are just fantastic. |Highly recommend!

Incredible customer service - from valet parking attendants, to front desk, to servers at breakfast - all staff so friendly, welcoming and helpful. The room was large, beautifully appointed and had all the amenities you could want. The whole place has a feel of luxury and indulgence - just what you want for a holiday break! We requested a late check-out and the hotel was more than happy to accommodate this at a very reasonable rate.

I’m a frequent guest of the Amarano. Last weekend they were pretty well booked, but they had the top room called the chairman suite available so I decided to splurge. It was fabulous. It was a spectacular room in every way, but especially the deck area, which could see eight for lunch or dinner. It has lounging chairs, a sun, bed, and plenty of places to sit and have a party outside. The staff is excellent always and the restaurant and bar are fabulous too. I highly recommend this hotel. It is very nice at a reasonable price. You will love it.

This place is incredible. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The front door man, Hans was extremely helpful, giving us some tips on various things, and always a friendly person to see when we came back to the hotel. We enjoyed the breakfasts, a lunch and some cocktails in the bar and restaurant. We loved reading by the pool. The location is close to Universal Studios, also Warner Bros Tour, and other attractions. There's a grocery store across the street, so we could pick up some items we forgot. We borrowed our daughter's car a couple of days, and we found free parking on the street. The hotel is in a neighborhood, so walking around felt safe. We highly recommend this hotel. It is now our favorite in LA.

**Mixed Experience – Some Good, Some Bad** Our stay had both positives and negatives. First, be aware of the hidden fees: a $40+tax amenities fee and a steep $45+tax per night parking fee. On the bright side, the valet service was excellent, and the doorman provided outstanding service—always welcoming us with a warm smile, which we truly appreciated. However, room service was disappointing. The bed sheets weren’t properly made, dirty cups were left in the room, toilet paper wasn’t refilled, and new towels were rarely provided—most were simply refolded from the damp, used ones. To top it off, we even saw a bug crawling on the restroom floor. Overall, the staff at the front entrance was great, but the housekeeping and extra fees left us feeling like the stay wasn’t worth the price.

We had a wedding to attend in Glendale and booked this hotel for few nights. Amazing place to stay. It is more like a cozy boutique hotel. Service is excellent. All the employees are super helpful and very friendly and professional. Rooms are very clean and offer and includes continental breakfast and good brand coffee. They gym, pool and spa are just perfect for your stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were in town for a birthday trip to Universal Studios. We appreciated how close the hotel was to the park. The staff was friendly and attentive. We are a family of 6 and we stayed in the Superior One Bedroom Suite, with the use of a rollaway bed. The room was fairly spacious and clean. The mattress in the bedroom and on the sofa were a bit uncomfortable and felt aged, but they did the job. The pool was nice for this July weather. Our only issue was that there is no parking. Valet is $40/day. I suppose one could park in the shopping center across the street, but we did not want to risk being towed. Overall, we had a great stay and would recommend.

I booked this hotel because it’s close to the Warner Brothers Studio. The room was nice and clean. The staff were friendly, especially the doorman, who was always welcoming and helpful.||However, I was given a room with a connecting door, and unfortunately, there seems to be no soundproofing at all. Even though both sides of the door were closed, I could clearly hear the people in the next room talking and the kids screaming.||I asked the front desk if I could be moved to a different room, but they told me the hotel was fully booked.||If you decide to stay here, I recommend avoiding Room 324 or any room with a connecting door.

Yelp
My recent stay at Hotel Amarano was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a sense of luxury that permeated every aspect of the hotel. The ambiance at Hotel Amarano is elegant and sophisticated, with stylish decor, plush furnishings, and an atmosphere of tranquility that immediately puts you at ease. Whether you're lounging in the lobby, relaxing by the pool, or unwinding in your beautifully appointed room, you're surrounded by comfort and elegance at every turn. Speaking of rooms, the accommodations at Hotel Amarano are simply stunning. From spacious suites with panoramic views to cozy guest rooms with luxurious amenities, every detail has been thoughtfully designed to ensure a restful and rejuvenating stay. The beds are incredibly comfortable, the linens are soft and sumptuous, and the bathrooms are stocked with high-end toiletries - it's truly a home away from home. But what truly sets Hotel Amarano apart is the service. The staff are attentive, friendly, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure a memorable experience for every guest. From the concierge who helped me plan my itinerary to the housekeeping team who kept my room immaculate, everyone I encountered went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and valued.

Yelp
As a family on vacation in California we wanted to find a hotel that was affordable & wasn't run down while still being in a close proximity to our destination. Price wise, it was in the middle price range, it wasn't cheap however it also wasn't the most expensive hotel in the area. Overall, it was a good stay, there was a small downside or two, but that is almost expected when traveling. There was a bit of confusion when we first arrived as we had booked two rooms through a booking site & were not aware the booking site had put the reservations under two of our names since the confirmation only showed one name with "2 rooms" under it. It took a few minutes, but they were able to get us into two rooms, although they did end up overcharging our credit card so we had to come back down so they could fix it. Thankfully they realized the mistake right away. We liked that it was right across the street from a small shopping center that had restaurants, a grocery store, Starbucks & more to make it continent to walk over and grab anything you might need. It was also located close to the freeway & several tourist type attractions which was the biggest draw for this hotel, was that it was close to everything we had planned on doing during our trip. Our party was a little surprised at the breakfast though, we've stayed in hotels that were much cheaper that had a breakfast spread better suited to multiple appetites which included cereal, eggs, pancakes or even make your own waffles. For the price per night for this hotel you would think they would have something similar. The first morning they had three flavors of bagels, yogurt, a bowl of granola bars, some fresh fruits, mini muffins/pastry and coffee. The second morning they had plain bagels, mini yogurts, mini muffins, half the fruit they had the morning prior and coffee. There were no drink options for non-coffee drinkers or young children, nor were there a lot of non-bread options for non-gluten eaters. One of the families that was getting breakfast at the same time we were had asked if they could get some milk for their small children & were told it would be an extra charge to their room. I know it might sound whinny to be a little judgmental of the breakfast offering, but some people like to book hotels specifically for the included breakfast to help cut down on travel cost when traveling with their families. In a way the hotel felt like more of a spot to stay if you are traveling on business or just in town to see family verses being more family friendly for those visiting Universal, Disney, etc. Based off of other reviews the cleanliness of the hotel room can vary from room to room and time of the year. Thankfully our room seemed quite clean upon arrival the only thing that seemed to lack a cleaning was the small patio attached to the room.

Yelp
The bar at the Hotel Amarano in Burbank has been a favorite of mine since before 2015. Late night stop by for night owls who live nearby and work in the industry. The bar-keeps can chat up a storm while major celebrities waltz by, unaware of my own celebrity status. It is an easy stop by on the way home to watch a replay or just sit and reflect on days-gone-by in Hollywood that shined, as does this little hidden, and great watering hole. Reminds me of old Riverside Drive's studio cantina elite hangouts. Don't disturb the local wildlife while enjoying the menu and libations. Thank you to Amarano, Norman & Harvey for being a constant in a world of unwelcome change.

Yelp
Hotel Amarano is a petite wonderland conveniently perched near the Universal and Warner Brothers studio lots. Prepare for a décor that screams Hollywood glitz and glamour, with an eclectic twist that's nothing short of elegant. The staff is nice, prompt, and cordial, serving up smiles faster than you can say "action!" Kudos to their top-notch hospitality game. As for the rooms, they're on the larger side, giving you room to stretch and bask in a touch of luxury. And hey, they even throw in a small pantry area and a microwave oven, just in case you feel like playing chef during your stay. Lights, camera, dinner! But hold onto your popcorn, folks, because we've got a plot twist. While the hotel boasts a lively lobby bar, it's missing a full-fledged restaurant. Looks like they want you to bring out your inner culinary artist with their continental spread presented on the bar counter in the mornings. Let the breakfast adventures begin! Now, let's get real about those room soft goods. Bedsheets, comforters, and towels? Well, they're average. They won't make you feel like royalty, but they'll get the job done. But wait, there's drama on this Hollywood stage. Maintenance seems to have taken an extended vacation, leaving a few items in my room struggling to perform their roles. And to add a dash of suspense, one of the elevators decided to join the broken-down club for a whopping five days straight, leading to some marathon waiting sessions. Cue the dramatic elevator music, and the not-so-dramatic wait. And last but not least, a word about housekeeping. Brace yourself, for they visit every other day. So if you want your towels freshened up, make sure to hang them with care before you hit the streets for your daily adventures. In summary, Amarano hotel is a small-scale Hollywood gem. It dazzles with its glitzy décor, boasts a stellar staff, and offers larger-than-life rooms with cozy amenities. Just be prepared for the occasional maintenance hiccups and the suspense of housekeeping's every-other-day appearance. Lights, camera, average, but oh-so-charming action awaits you at Amarano hotel.

Yelp
Made the lobby at the Hotel Amarano my office for a few hours and it was perfect! It's located in the heart of Burbank near several Hollywood studios and LA hot spots. Walking in I was greeted by a concierge who was so kind, helpful, and knowledgeable of the area. They have both an indoor and outdoor workspace in the lobby with plenty of room. I opted to stay indoors as it was a beautifully sunny July day. Everything was very clean, modern, and the vibe is chill but still upscale. There is a bar and kitchen called the "FYC" aka For Your Consideration- how cute and perfectly themed is that?! Buuuut it's closed on Tuesdays until 5pm so I didn't get to try it out. There is free street parking that I easily found right around the corner. Totally recommend!

Yelp
Rooms are a decent size, and well appointed, but the service is terrible. They only clean your room every other day, which is not mentioned on check in -- you get to come back to a room with dirty towels and an unmade bed. After one day of this, I specifically asked to have the room cleaned during the second day we stayed and it wasn't done. This place is a joke -- trying to style itself as a boutique hotel without the service to back it up. Add in a mandatory valet service and for what they're asking, stay elsewhere.

Yelp
Stacey and I had a great time hanging at the bar with a cool couple from Jersey and our bar tender Harvey "Wallbanger"! Great vibes and a great time!

Yelp
Our fave hotel in the entire SFV!! The staff is so welcoming and wonderful! Always a great experience and a let me give a special shout out to Jefferson who is the happiest employee in Burbank!! He's adorable!!

Yelp
My first visit to this hotel a year ago was wonderful; everything was perfect, and the service was a 10/10. Unfortunately, during our second visit, we were rushed to check in upon arrival after an exhausting 8-hour drive. Many incidents occurred before we even checked in, and the valet parking staff was unfriendly. However, the decor and bar area were beautiful, and the bartender was very friendly, which helped improve our mood after the initial difficulties. Overall, our stay was a 2 out of 5. Additionally, we were disturbed by a knock on our door to vacate the room at 10:30 am, which was disappointing. We will not be returning to this hotel and would prefer to spend our money elsewhere where we feel more welcome.

Yelp
I've been back to Hotel Amarano a couple of times and I love it a little more each visit. Love the vibe. The employees are always nice. The rooms are each a little different and with their own little quirks that for me doesn't detract at all. Americans have gotten so accustomed to uniformity of experience that "boutique" is just confusing. I'll take interesting and cute over predictable any day of the week. I can't imagine any reason to stay anywhere else if I'm forced to be in Burbank!

Yelp
1. Customer service was amazing. Bartender and waiters really give a great vibe to the hotel. The check in staff were kind enough to have given me a toothbrush and paste as I had left mine at home. 2. The hotel bar was stocked with a smaller selection of alchol but the drinks they make and have on their menu are great. 3. The food at the hotel bar is amazing we had the new york and shrimp broccoli gnocchi pasta. I prefer my food over salted so I had to ask for salt but I don't expect them to cater to my taste. The tuna tartar is amazing as long as you put the lemon on it. Their continental breakfast in the morning is really nice. All the guests come and grab a coffee bagel and sit down to eat 4. The hotel room was clean. We do individually check for unwanted pests and couldn't find any. The towels comforter and pillows are all right. I prefer a stiffer pillow but these were so big you could bunch it together. Bathroom and shower were clean. 5. The hotels decor and overall vibe is hollywood glam. They did a really good job of designing the lobby and restaurant/bar area to that taste. The parking is vallet only fitting the vibe.

Yelp
Hands down, this beautiful 4 star boutique hotel is, by far, the best hotel in the Valley and the surrounding LA area, and surprisingly reasonable for what you get. This hotel checks all the boxes - wonderful staff, lovely amenities, cool bar/restaurant, nice safe area, great location just down the street from the freeway, walkable to Toluca Lake and grocery store/restaurants, and just so hip and cool, yet not even a little bit snobby. It is a very special place. The employees are beyond compare and are so lovely, from the valet to the front desk staff. Elegant, swanky, cool large rooms, very clean, full power AC, in-room safe, magnifying mirror, high quality shampoo, soaps, and lotions, large TV, awesome in-room Lavazza espresso machine, refrigerator (some rooms with microwave), complimentary continental breakfast bar, serene patio eating area and restaurant/bar, beautiful pool/ jacuzzi/lounging area, and gym with complimentary bottles of water and apples. The following are some helpful notes to be sure your stay is as wonderful as mine: there is no clock, pen/paper, shower cap, robe, or slippers in the room, so just be prepared to bring any of that with you if it's important. Also, there is a $40 daily amenity fee but that's par for the course, people; it's pretty rare to find a hotel without an amenity fee these days, especially in L.A. There is no self-parking but, other than tipping the guys, valet parking is covered in the amenity fee (otherwise, there is free street parking in the surrounding neighborhood, which felt very safe). If you are an out-of-towner visiting this area, here on business at the nearby studios, looking for a relaxing staycation, or needing a long-term stay (like me), this is absolutely the place to stay, no question.

Yelp
The service makes up for the disparities - when we got into the room it smelled like blue cheese, there were cobwebs, poop looking stains on the rug, and a mosquito. I would have expected the linens to be a little nicer for a four star hotel. Check in was great - we were walk ins, the man working valet was really sweet, and the front desk guy was great as well. When we called down for a toothbrush, someone came up with it instantly. Also giving the hotel four stars because the drinks at the bar were great and so was the coconut shrimp.

Yelp
Top notch! Our family of 4 just stayed at this hotel and we had an amazing experience. The staff was very attentive. Our room was spotless. Our kiddos loved the pool. Oh and the continental breakfast was delicious! Will be back again soon!

Yelp
The facilities: Pool (limit 10 people, 1 hour only) & fitness center (limit 2 people) are open now. Lobby bar is opened starting at 5pm. The Room: They offer free bottle water when you check in. No coffee machine in the room but they have grab&go continental breakfast in the lobby from 6-10am. The Service: Very professional & friendly. The Parking: Valet parking only. Residential street parking on Oat Street (free). Just be careful the street cleaning day/time (Tuesday & Wednesday) There is a plaza across the street. There are market & restaurants. Very convenient. Now they have special rate for California residents.

Yelp
We've stayed at the Hilton and Sheraton, but wasn't impressed. But Hotel Amarano was awesome! The $40 amenity included valet and continental breakfast, which beats the $100-$120 per day for other hotels that don't include valet nor breakfast. The room was clean and nicely decorated, we even did a cute photoshoot in our room . Perfect location right by Warner Brothers and down the hill from Universal Studios. The valet guys were awesome, everyone was very friendly. Many places to eat that are in walking distance, and in a safe neighborhood.

Yelp
Had to take a getaway trip from my busy life. I am glad I chose Hotel Amarano! Everyone treated me like a queen! The room was great, food, bar and staff! Close to a lot of places in walking distance. I am definitely booking my next stay here :)

Sam S.

Yelp
Just stayed here for four nights. Was out working during the day but would come back, order some food & crash. My room overlooked the pool and there were kids swimming and being loud but it's kind of hard to get mad about that. Super international crowd, which was cool. I really didn't have much interaction with the staff, except to call room service (lovely people, food was really high end and delicious!) and checking in. Didn't have a car so didn't deal with the valet, didn't need anything so I didn't deal with house keeping. I have to comment, though, on the charming Jordan who ran the continental breakfast area. He was just a delight. The complementary bagels and coffee in the morning were great, and I ordered some scrambles and cappuccino on top for a solid breakfast. Decor is on point, the art is cool, it's everything you want in a hotel near the studios. And not too spendy, either!

Yelp
Found this little gem as I searched for a private room to host my husband's 50th birthday dinner. From start to finish working with their Sales Manager Laurie was truly amazing! She was attentive to every detail I envisioned, and she went over and beyond to make sure hubby's birthday evening went as planned & it was perfect! Our guests of about 20 people enjoyed themselves very much. The food and appetizers they catered for the dinner party were delicious. We also booked The Chairman Suite for the night. So being able to spend time with our loved ones after dinner was special indeed. Hubby and I ended up booking a second night's stay in a junior suite because we didn't want to leave this fabulous place. All of their staff are friendly, helpful, and treat guests with care. Special thanks again to Laurie, Ali, Libby, their wonderful bartenders and valet attendant who made us feel very special and took good care of us during our stay. I highly recommend this unique hotel - you will not be disappointed. Whether it be for a stay or to host a special event you will be so glad you did. We can't wait to go back to enjoy their specialty cocktails and tasty menu - their tuna tartare was AMAZING! We will definitely go back for a staycation and will even host another event. Thanks Hotel Amarano for the beautiful memories!

Yelp
Hotel Admin - There was an additional amount added to the overall price ($10 increase for the amenity fee) even though the hotel confirmation email sent the day prior said the price was $25 for the amenity fee. Staff honored the amount on the original email the day of check-in. However, a random charge of $10 was charged to the credit card on file. Additionally, upon check-out, the amenity fee showed as $35 vs the honored $25 amount. This was very frustrating that the card was charged randomly and the $35 still appeared at the time of check-out. Cleanliness - The hotel appeared very clean and staff/hotel guests were following safety measures (wearing masks) when in the public areas. The room was pretty clean; however, there was mold in the grout lines in the bathroom and there were several cut outs in the ceiling within the bathroom. The room was overall pretty clean but the mold on the walls made it worrisome about cleaning tactics. Comfort - The amenity fees covered access to a gym, pool and valet parking. It was awesome having valet parking and spots to unload/load the car without having to worry about parking on the local street. (The parking garage is located under the hotel which made it feel safe.) The bed was comfortable but the blanket was very thin. There were two king pillows, a sheet and a thin blanket on the bed. This was frustrating as the room was warmish but there were no additional blankets to bundle up with. The air flow was adequate but not very powerful. The closet space in the room was very convenience with a large suitcase and hangars to hang clothes, coats, etc. The room offered a mini fridge and microwave which was nice to store snack/heat up food during the stay. Location - The hotel is located next to a local street and a shopping center was across the street; the freeway was less than a block away. It was convenient to walk to the shopping center to grab coffee at Starbucks, food from a local restaurant and snacks from the grocery store without having to leave in a vehicle. While sleeping, cars can be heard frequently and this location is not quiet as there is traffic/street car noise. Price - The price was a bit steep but reasonable due to the large room, amenities and location near Universal Studios (the purpose of the trip).

Yelp
Amazing! Service was great! I requested first floor and got it ! Welcoming from valet to server for breakfast, lots of breakfast amenities and great warm pool in winter. It was easy and breeze from check in to check out. We will definitely some back and definitely refer !

Yelp
I wanted to love this hotel. It's in a good location and it has some lovely aspects, unfortunately, I had problems that went unresolved. The main problem was that they NEVER cleaned my room in the 6 days I stayed there, not counting the day I left. I left my room every day by noon and didn't return until the evening. I went to the front desk and was told they clean the rooms every other day, so I asked for fresh towels, which they brought. I deliberately kept a sign on the door that said to clean the room. Again, no one came to clean. Ever. I went to the front desk again, was told they clean every other day and that I had a do not disturb sign on my door. Untrue and I told them. I actually took a picture of the sign on my room to show them. This kept happening. I even took the please clean sign off so as not to confuse them. Didn't get cleaned. I called down and stopped by the front desk daily, to no avail. When I talked to the assistant manager, he had no answer and didn't seem to care. I checked out of the hotel a few days early and I wrote the management. Peter Kolla, the General Manager, wrote me back saying sorry and he hopes I will give it another try. It was a form letter. I wasn't offered any type of compensation. Nothing. This was the weirdest stay I've ever had at a hotel. I felt like I was in a crazy movie or something!

Brian C.

Yelp
Hotel is OK.. small, clean, rooms are nice enough. But, the service is non existent. Just listened to bar tenders sharing their war stories of tipping and when, if, and how to buy back drinks. Had to argue with a valet about whether I got a ticket and he also felt the need to argue the difference between the room fee and the resort fee. I let the supervisor on duty know and he made sure to explain why i might be wrong about my ticket. Boo go to the Garland they are nice.

Yelp
We were very pleased with this hotel. Which we used for our visit to Universal Studios. The staff is genuinely nice, alert, engaging, and happy to see and please you. I love the boutique feel of the hotel. It felt small. Very clean upscale, safe. And a great price. I was very pleased with the king bedroom suite. It was ample room for the three of us. A plus - some fantastic fast food and other restaurants right across the street. Another plus: the bar is frequented by pleasant locals, and the bartender Norm is terrific.

Yelp
We stayed here for our 10 year wedding anniversary and they were SO kind and accommodating, ensuring an unforgettable anniversary. This hotel is so clean, beautiful, quaint, quirky and and an absolutely gem. We will absolutely be returning! Wonderful staff, tasty food, overall 10/10 experience! Only bad part was, we wished we could have stayed longer!

Michelle A.

Yelp
I'm honestly so frustrated. I've stayed here once before which was wonderful. But today, we came into our room and the pillow had makeup on it. Then, in the shower, black hair hanging from the shampoo. Ragged shower curtain with black spots on it. I called the front desk furious because, even though they offered to clean it, we've obviously already been exposed. There's no point. And my husband's job is dependent on a negative test. They gave us $40 off our $260 room. Really doesn't seem fair to me since we've potentially risked our health. And the potential 3 weeks of work we'll miss because of this supposedly "safe" experience.

Yelp
I would not recommend staying at Hotel Amarano. We are locals and booked one night because we wanted a relaxing staycation. Instead, we had a sleepless night due to thumping noises throughout the entire night that sounded like someone dropping heavy boxes above us. The bedding was uncomfortable and scratchy and did not adequately cover two people. At breakfast, there were adults and children without masks coughing and touching everything on the buffet. I would have provided this feedback at check-out but we were not asked how our stay was. It's disappointing because we live very close to the hotel and had wanted to treat ourselves. When we pass by it on the outside, it looks like a luxurious and relaxing hotel. We did enjoy the decor as well as having the pool and hot tub to ourselves the night before. However, this was not enough to make up for lack of sleep and lack of safety. I wish I had saved the money and just slept at home. We would not return and I would discourage anyone who visits us from staying here.

Yelp
This boutique hotel has the glamour and spirit of Old Hollywood, the decor blends between vintage and modern. Food and drinks were on par! Ask Norm the bartender for the secret drink! He was helpful and attentive despite a busy lounge. The pool is heated and the jacuzzi heat was relaxing. The room has the cutest details for the old Hollywood glam feel. Oh and most importantly.. the espresso machine was the cherry on top to our one night stay! We will definitely be back.

Yelp
All I can say is wow! We had very high hopes for this place as we travel all over the world cooking for celebrities staying at some of the most beautiful hotels on the planet this place from the outside looking in appears to be a gem! Well after a day full of catering I come back to my room pull back my sheets and fall asleep only to wake up with this in my face

Yelp
As a travel agent I love selling my clients on staying at boutique hotels. This hotel did not disappoint. I loved the ambiance from the minute I stepped in. The staff was superb. I picked a pool room view but wish I would have done the balcony room. The decor was cute and transported you back to old Hollywood. Giving it's lose proximity to Warner Bros and Disney Studios , it was perfect. The shower was amazing. There were lots of eating options in the surrounding area. The hotel bar was awesome and I can't stop thinking about that spicy passionfruit Paloma. It paired well with the shrimp cocktail although it did need just a little more kick. The bartender was prepared and handed me a couple tiny bottles of Tabasco which did the trick. Do yourself a favor and try this boutique hotel if you are staying in the Burbank area.

Yelp
The hotel design is stylish and the staff is friendly. We spent extra for a room with a balcony but we're very disappointed. The balcony was filthy and covered in rodent droppings. They could have a really nice hotel here if they paid as much attention to cleaning as they did to the decor.

Yelp
Called twice tonight to complain about noise - some woman has a microphone!! - and they didn't do anything about it. No consideration for neighbors whatsoever.

Yelp
Thought it would be a great idea to book this hotel because it was listed as four stars and with close proximity to where I needed to be. Unfortunately I was wrong. I checked in to my room and wanted to go and take a shower and noticed hair in my shower. I called downstairs and informed the front desk of my discovery. They asked if I would just like someone to come in and clean I said no, I requested another room when I got into my new room, surprise, the new bathroom in the new room had hair in the shower again. I called and inform the front desk. again they got me a third room, but now I question whether or not anything has been cleaned at this hotel, I will not be staying here again. Having doubts on whether or not your room is clean. isn't a great feeling.

Yelp
Terrific hotel. Staff is amazing from valet to front desk. Called ahead to arrange for a cheese and fruit platter for when we arrived. It was perfect. Room is lovely. Private patio is huge bonus. I will definitely come back. Great location. Great room. Great staff

Yelp
My family & I stayed at Hotel Amarano on April 10th. We checked in late since we came from Universal Studios. One of our beds smelt like urine! Front desk sent someone to change the sheets right away but afterwards smell was stronger. Called the front desk again, it was already late in the night, kids were tired, hotel fully booked so no real solution. The 2 men at the front desk came to confirm that the mattress did indeed smelt like urine! Gross! They flipped the mattress & then had to come back with more clean sheets. Staff was friendly, attentive and the hotel seems nice, but the cleanliness is a no go which made our family trip disappointing! Didn't get any compensation, only apologies.

Yelp
Multiple issues: Two nights/three days stay were horrible. 1. I reserved the room for 351 sqft but we got assigned to the room only 300 sqft. 2. I booked the room through the phone to the hotel directly first, and was told there are no extra fee for parking etc. but actually got charged the resort fee. 3. 1st night: No one knows how to adjust the AC setup during the night shift; as a result, I had to wake up at 12 am, 1 am, 2 am, 3 am, 4 am, 5 am, 6 am and 6:35 am to try on how to adjust the AC by ourselves. We were chilled for whole night. 4. 2nd night: the next door moved in new tenant(s) and smoked, screamed and yelled till 10:15 pm. They left the TV play out loud. The front desk sent "house keeper" to knock the door, no one answered the door and left the TV kept screaming. We had to call the front desk again, then security came to open the door to turn off the TV. Few minutes the tenant(s) returned to the room, and started to smoke and turn on the TV out loud till almost 12 am. We then had to move to the other room in the middle of the night. 5. The hotel earns $500 through our suffering by charging the penalty to the next door tenant(s). Shouldn't that $500 go to compensate the victims? If we were victimized the most, why didn't we get the most portion of that $500 penalty charge but just $50 by not charging us the resort fee which we should not be charged that was told by the phone when booking? The hotel did not take care of the issue properly. The hotel earns extra money by suffering the tenants. The hotel did not assign the room as promised.

Yelp
The bar and the staff there are the best part but the rest was a big no-no for the price. The room was $435 for a non-suite that was outdated and not remodeled (I guess they have 1/2 the place with newer rooms,) they added $40 to just be there and use things, which I wasn't told about and when I checked in with my dog, they didnt tell me until after I was already in the room that it was an additional $125. That was their mess-up but they would not make any concessions. They tried to say or implied that I wanted to sneak my dog in or something. Why would I do that? The room was dated with giant ugly lamps from the 70's, poor water pressure in the bathroom (I wanted a nice hot bath so bad!) and the tv has a new program on it with a QR code and they guy had to come twice to get it to work and then it barely worked. All of this and no robe, they said that was for suites only. An expensive uncomfortable experience and totally ruined a mini vacation I was hoping for.

Yelp
This was the most unwelcoming hotel I've ever been too. We stayed in a room that looked nothing like the one we ordered. The valet staff, the front desk staff were un inviting. We tried to upgrade as our room was loud and had trash that wasn't removed it didn't seem clean. We wanted a room with a balcony. Went to the front desk and the staff told us sorry we have none of those rooms. Went right onto their website and they had plenty of them available. So I was lied too. Also had a dent in my car I noticed not there when we left it with the valet after we checked out and got to our next destination. Everyone seemed rushed and very unfriendly. The hotel was loud and we could hear the adjacent room using the bathroom. Noises all night long. Not a good experience. All the excess fees and what not. Nowhere worth $350 a night. We've stayed all over the country and this was as good as a Holiday Inn.

Yelp
I have only stayed at this hotel once when it was Graciela hotel. I am now a resident living adjacent to Hotel Amarano. I would seriously consider another option when visiting the area. Based on my experiences over the past few years, the clientele that stay at this location have really gone down hill. Loud music, smoking alongside Oak St., dog owners leaving dog sh!t on the ground, and most recently guests dumping their trash outside their car. There are locals living nearby. If you cannot be civilized and considerate of others when on a trip, maybe you should stay home. Or maybe you should go stay next door to your mom's house and act like a fool around there. To the guests that left at 4:30 am today (3/4), shame on you. Your mom is not around to pick up after you or your dog. Stay home.

Yelp
Pretty great spot that is convenient and near studio city. Sometimes it gets pretty expensive but when it is around the $300 range, it is quite good for the value.

Yelp
I always put my parents up here when they visit, and they love it. The staff is super kind and helpful, rooms are spacious, and the bar staff is fun and energetic. If you are a light sleeper ask for a high floor as the hallways are noisy with footsteps on the tile surfaces above you..... but I love it here for them and to visit them. Awesome team.

Yelp
It's much better and stylish than the pictures! Very classy hotel. The service was excellent and they did everything they could to make our stay great- despite the COVID restrictions... We got plenty of water when we asked for it and they had a free breakfast to go station in the entrance. No bathtub but a very luxurious shower that was amazing!

Yelp
Do not stay at this hotel! The House keeping here does theft on hotel guest. The house keeping stole a $600 value designed item from me. I called every week for months and they will not return it to me. Totally not worth it and customer service with the front desk was poor & very unprofessional hence the woman laughing at me when I asked to speak to a manager ! I'm disappointed in this hotel.

Yelp
I was a little skeptical at first after reading other reviews. This is a great place to stay. Room was so cute! You can tell that the hotel is old, but it just adds to the charm. ALL the staff is amazing and so friendly! Would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
What an enjoyable 2 hours connecting with the room, the pictures above your head bolted in for earthquake safe decorating. i would have dinged Amarano a star for the body wash in the shower having a broken pump, but i owe J- an amends Staff was very by the book, valet very good, i asked lots of questions, everyone was very knowledgeable. For them to have any flexibility on your stay, you really need to book through their site. It gives them a lot more flexibility. www.hotelamarano.com they'll price match and at least have an ability to be slightly flexible, for example, with room selection, and durations, so long as you register through their website. This is where my stay went wrong, but J- when s/he had to tell me no on any special requests, s/he sounded like s/he really did care. That's a really fine catwalk; well done! I had a lovely stay.

Yelp
We booked this hotel because we wanted a hotel close to universal studios. It was very close and through hotel had a free shuttle that they provided. The shuttle was a great benefit for staying here. The hotel rooms are very nice and upscale look to them. The hotel rooms has nice furnishings and a nice modern touch. The employees here are very nice and helpful. We enjoyed our short stay here.
