"Savour classic Baden fare with French and international influences in these cosy, quintessentially "Black Forest" dining rooms. In winter, for example, the game and goose dishes are popular. In summer, there is outside seating in the Adler Gärtle. The service is friendly and there are comfortable guestrooms, some simpler than others." - Michelin Inspector

The food was absolutely delicious, the atmosphere very warm and inviting and the staff treated us like we are guests, not customers. Our waiter for the evening, Pascal, welcomed us warmly, suggesting dishes and wine for our meal and we truly felt like we visited family. An amazing experience. I would highly recommend Adler!

This review is for the restaurant. We paid $160€ for our meals. The servers were unhelpful, unfriendly and did not do anything they were not asked to do ie two of our mains came with sides described in the German menu and we did not recieve them. Both times I had to wait more that 5 - 10 mins to get the attention of a server to flag this. Then wait 10 or more mins to receive. Never offered additional drink orders. Never checked on through our 2 hours of dining. We’ve visited many other restaurants on the area. This one is not worth it.

Hotel Restaurant Adler is a wonderful place to stay or celebrate events. The old building with it's beautiful old furniture make an amazing atmosphere. The food is 10/10 with traditional dishes and vegetarian options. If you want to get to know the beautiful Glottertal and be near from memorable cities like Freiburg next to France and Switzerland, don't miss this place, you will be impressed. I fully recommend this place and will definitely come back.

We spent a night here on our way from UK to Italy. The hotel is delightful with a wonderful Black Forest atmosphere and is well run with great warmth and charm. Our room was very comfortable with a balcony with views up the steeply wooded valley. The restaurant was fantastic with delicious food in very comfortable and cozy. Fantastic soup, local venison cooked to perfection and amazing chocolate mousse as well as home made gluten-free bread. We will definitely be back and strongly recommend it ,

We stayed here for 3 days. The rooms are very comfortable and extremely clean. Food at the restaurant is exemplary and the service very friendly and patient. The setting in Glottertal is right next to a vineyard and the wine varieties in the restaurant are excellent.

Hotel "zum Adler" has been our friendly and reliable stopover in Southern Germany for the last 12 years. We have stayed and eaten here in all seasons and we have always enjoied the professional and friendly atmosphere and the cozy rooms. The food is superb, with great attention for local and seasonal products. Breakfast is excellent an abundant, prices are very reasonable. We are always sorry to leave after our short stay and we hope to be able to plan a longer visit to this hotel in the future: it is definitely worth it !

Myself, wife, and daughter stayed up the road, and dined here on our last night of the holiday. My only regret is that we didn't dine here every night. The food is proper home cooked Black forest style, and is delicious. The deco is amazing, its roughly 300 years old, and it had the most beautiful Christmas tree I ve ever seen. The staff were brilliant, with the owner helping us greatly and talking with us as our German is non existent. The Adler has been in her family for many generations, and its been kept in the style you would expect. Very old family portraits on the walls, and modern family pictures which make you feel at home. On our next visit to the black forest we are going to stay here, if they have us. Choose the roast goose if its on. And have the cabbage. See you next year! John, Annmarie, and Mollie.
