"The high ceilings, steel girders, large mullioned windows and sections of exposed brick wall show a conscious effort to retain some of the industrial charm of this old factory building: these features have been merged into the chic, modern design. The tasty cuisine has international and seasonal roots; smaller menu at lunchtime. Friendly service, and the adjoining boutique hotel has trendy guestrooms and rooftop sauna area." - Michelin Inspector

This place is absolutely fantastic.
Check in was fast and easy, rooms are modern, clean and interesting. The Hotel itself is very nicely reachable by car and even has an awesome sauna on the roof open until 10 pm with towels and bathrobes available.
The restaurant is fantastic with a great atmosphere fantastic service and very welcoming staff. I had a 60 hrs US short rib that was an absolut amazing experience. On point seasoning and taste.
Love it and will come back when in the area

I am not a fan of boutique hotels but was pleasantly surprised with my recent stay for one night while attending a conference at the hotel. A former factory but the decor was quite well and tastefully done to blend with the building to create a relaxed ambience. The restaurant which was established first is the main attraction and the food with an equally complimentary wine list lives up to expectation. You will not be disappointed.

This hotel is located at the opposite end of Gießen from the train station. Reasonably close to the university but quite a trek and far from any decent restaurants - a problem of the restaurant is closed as it was in the week that I visited. Rooms are trendy and nicely decorated but were overheated without a possibility to turn down the heating. Good but time - consuming breakfast - the ups and downs of cooking eggs to order. All in all a nice place but with some room for improvement.

Good breakfast. Clean rooms. The exterior looks very nice, as does the interior. However, the design of the latter is manifestly impractical: the showers are fully enclosed such that mold is an inevitability, but the bathrooms themselves aren't enclosed which again doesn't make sense.

The room we were shown to was on the ground floor - bath in middle of room and noisy from traffic on road outside. Helpful receptionist gave us another room on first floor which although looked out over a demolition site was quiet and comfortable. Whacky decor but more than adequate stop over. Quite expensive breakfast with poor coffee.

We have been there for a wedding and it was wonderful. The eventroom was very pretty decorated and the Ambiente was realy classy. The service did a good job and the wine was exelent. I can't eat milk but the kitchen was so flexible and made a dressing and a dessert just for me. And even this was super tasty. The only thing what was not so good were the shots. They have served cherry shots with a realy bad taste. But the Longdrinks helped to forget about that ;) the night in our room was nice and the room is realy big. We will Definitively come again

Great served food, monkfish (seeteufel) is delicious, nice sorbet desert. Elegant and cozy deco and friendly personal. Definitely recommend for a romantic date (music is not loud and there are sofas near real fire place) but its also good for a group of colleagues, friends or family.
