MY REVIEW BEFORE ALIX HELP ME
My experience at Hotel Le Faucigny in Chamonix was an absolute disaster, and I feel compelled to warn others about their shockingly poor service. It’s baffling that a business operating in the hospitality sector could treat its customers—who quite literally keep them in business—with such unprofessionalism and utter disregard.
First of all, their response time to emails is outrageously slow. I reached out multiple times to clarify a simple question about whether it would be possible to cancel my reservation without penalties. Instead of a straightforward answer, they took it upon themselves to cancel my booking entirely—without my permission! This kind of behavior is not just unprofessional, it’s downright disrespectful.
But the nightmare didn’t end there. After traveling for hours and arriving at the hotel at 11 PM, exhausted and ready to rest, I was informed that my reservation had been canceled. I was left with no room, no support, and no options late at night in a foreign country. The level of stress and frustration I experienced was unimaginable.
How can a hotel, a place meant to provide comfort and shelter, treat its guests like this? It’s unbelievable that they operate in the service industry but seem to have no understanding of how to professionally handle the people who keep their business alive. Their incompetence and lack of basic respect for their customers are appalling.
If they can’t manage to provide even the most basic level of customer service, they have no business being in the hospitality industry. I strongly recommend avoiding this hotel at all costs unless you want to risk being stranded and treated with utter indifference. This was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had, and it’s clear they don’t care about their customers at all.
