Le Faucigny (Chamonix, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Although Le Faucigny stands at the foot of Mont-Blanc, in the Chamonix valley, it’s got little to do with the stereotype of the rustic Alpine chalet. Instead it’s contemporary, in an understated, approachable way — perhaps a bit Nordic, but unpretentiously so, decorated in a largely monochrome palette of gray and white, with judicious red accents. As stylish as it is, comfort comes first — the common room’s fireplace is a place to gather, and there’s a small spa with a jacuzzi and a sauna. Meanwhile the service is exceedingly capable; they’ll organize your ski rentals and arrange your transportation without breaking a sweat." - Tablet Hotels

Hotel Le Faucigny | Best affordable ski hotels in Europe

"With its chic, utilitarian design, this trendy boutique hotel feels like it has been transported from the slopes of Scandinavia. But make no mistake, you’re right in the heart of France’s extreme skiing capital. Housed in a modest townhouse, some of the rooms are on the smaller side, but they are all perfectly comfortable and cozy. Besides, guests spend most of their time in the charming lounge, where homemade cakes and hot drinks await after a day’s skiing, and in the hot tub. There’s no restaurant, but plenty of cafes, bars and eateries within strolling distance. Access to the Brévent slopes is via the Savoy ski lift, less than five minutes away on foot. We had a great time at the Le Faucigny hotel, it has everything you need for a couple days long stay like we had. We enjoyed the closeness to the town center and also to nature, it's the perfect combination and we did not need our car at all during our stay. (The hotel offers parking too!) The room was very comfortable, though ours might have been a tad small for a longer stay, but for our 2 nights it was perfect! The hotel also has a spa section with sauna and a hot tub, which we used on both nights, it was great! The breakfast was also nice with the delicious French croissants and cheeses. Overall, this a great hotel, fully recommended!

The reception was very welcoming and kind. The room was beautiful, clean, and cozy. The location is excellent, and the view is absolutely unforgettable — truly breathtaking! Unfortunately, there’s no free parking. You’ll need to pay €15 per day to park through the hotel. Still, the experience and the view make it all worth it. Would definitely stay again!

What a wonderful stay we had at the Hotel Le Faucigny. Once we figured out how to use the window properly we were much cooler at night. The views of Mont Blanc were amazing when it would peak through the clouds. The staff was very helpful and friendly when were finalizing our TMB plans. The breakfast was amazing! so healthy and delicious and gave us great energy for the start of the trail. The hot tub was very nice on sore legs as well and spacious. Thank you so much for a wonderful start to our trek.

Very small rooms, sooooo hot in summer and if you're at the back of the hotel you'll be woken up at 5.45 by the small warehouse (outdoor) and constant noise of forklifts. Mentioned to staff who were not bothered in the slightest, other than this staff were really nice, communal areas nice, bar too pricey and bedroom areas run down and cramped, would recommend looking elsewhere

We had an amazing time at Hôtel & Spa Le Faucigny. The location is perfect—right in the heart of Chamonix, making it easy to explore the town and nearby attractions. We were lucky to have a room with a stunning view of Mont Blanc, which made our mornings and evenings extra special. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of variety to start the day off right. After long hikes, the hot tub and sauna were the perfect way to relax. Highly recommend this charming hotel for anyone visiting Chamonix!

Excellent place to stay in Chamonix Valley. Right in the center of the town and walking distance to many restaurants, stores, major attractions and cart lifts. Only 10 minutes by walk to the trains and buses. Very tasty French breakfast and sweets in the afternoon. High class spa. Very friendly and professional staff at the front desk available 24/7. Maria and Alexandra were especially friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Thank you to everyone in the hotel who made our stay in Chamonix extra special.

Perfect location right in the heart of Chamonix with ideal parking (€15 per day). The staff were friendly and spoke very good English. The rooms were spacious and on the 2nd floor had lovely Mountain View’s out of the velux window. The small jacuzzi and sauna was nice to relax in and we had to ourselves. We didn’t have breakfast as there’s lots of choice but it looked nice set up.

Yelp
Stayed here before and after hiking the Tour du Mont Blanc and highly recommend. The hotel itself is lovely with such a cute lobby/breakfast area, the people working at reception are so friendly and helpful, and the location is so convenient in Chamonix to run pre-hike errands or treat yourself to post-hike dinner and dessert. The hotel also stored our extra bags for us for free(!) for the 8 days that we were gone hiking which was so appreciated (many other hotels in the area charge per day for bag storage)!

Yelp
I stayed at Hotel le Faucigny for three nights before and after hiking the Tour de Mont Blanc and I only have good things to say about it. The location is prime - right in Chamonix and there is a hot tub and spa that I heard were quite nice. They provide a complementary breakfast in the morning that includes a variety of yogurts and cereals, several different types of fantastic fresh bread, lots of fruit, eggs, ham, coffee, and juices. It is one of the best hotel breakfasts I've ever had. Plus they provide tea and cookies in the later afternoon. Although the rooms are small, I found them beyond adequate. They provide bathrobes and slippers, provide soaps, shampoo, and lotions, and have nice bathtubs in the room. Our showerhead was one of those rain showerheads, which I really enjoyed. Plus, the free wifi works in the rooms. My only warning is to tall people - the ceilings are slanted and quite short, making it difficult for the tall gentleman on my trek. Even I bumped my head a few times getting into the bathroom, and I'm only 5'6"!

Yelp
Very charming hotel in a terrific location. We woke up each morning to a view of Mont Blanc. The young ladies working at the front desk were AMAZING! --friendly, welcoming, bringing us free coffee in the morning, setting up drinks and snacks in the late afternoon. The room was small, but not too small. Hot tub was very relaxing. Only criticism is the weak wi-fi connection in the rooms - it was fine in the lobby area. I would definitely stay here when back in Chamonix. An extra treat: go to the gaufres (waffles) stand to the left of McDonalds for a scrumptious treat after 2:30 PM.
