Hotel Arrizul Congress | Best places to stay in San Sebastian

"A few blocks from San Sebastian’s La Concha beach, this warm, relaxed and family-friendly hotel goes the extra mile for foodies and first-timers who really want to tap into the city scene. Neoclassical on the outside, minimalist and contemporary within, it offers free guided tours of the city in English, tastings of Basque foods and wines, a complimentary coffee and soft drink corner, and a handy free guide to the local restaurants and pintxo bars. There’s a petite, modern gym, and rooms come in various shapes and sizes from single (great for solo travellers) to a grand suite with a terrace, sleeping four. Brilliant value for groups or families. They also have bikes for rental – and if you’re here to ride the waves on Zurriola, the city’s surfing beach, they will store your board and wetsuit (a nearby shop rents them out). " - Dana Facaros

Great location half way from the train station to the Old Town.|The staff are exceptional, friendly and helpful. The complementary coffee area very welcome. The bedrooms were very comfortable. The beds gave a great sleep and the shower is hot and powerful. A slight downside is that you can hear some noise from other rooms, but not significant.|Breakfast provides an excellent choice of tasty foods. |A couple of lovely local bars beside the hotel for a good quality inexpensive drink.

We had a great stay at the Arrizul Congress. We stayed in the triple room, which was quite spacious. The second bed was in the loft, and it was almost like we had two separate spaces - plenty of privacy for everyone if needed. The location was perfect -we could walk to old town in minutes, and had great dining and shopping nearby. Definitely consider the Arrizul Congress if you want to be close to old town but don't want to pay some of the old town prices. I loved walking across the bridges every day!

This hotel is perfectly located for exploring Donostia San Sebastián. All of the staff were so pleasant and helpful. The cleanliness throughout the hotel is excellent. We had breakfast on the last morning of our stay and it was great, everything was fresh and the service was fantastic too. We will definitely stay there again and would recommend it as a good value for money hotel in a great location.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel in the Gros neighborhood of San Sebastián. We booked a suite, and it was perfect—clean, comfortable, and well-appointed, with a spacious balcony that was great for relaxing after a day of exploring the city.||The location in Gros was ideal—close to the beach, great restaurants, and an easy walk to the Old Town, but with a more local, laid-back vibe.||Breakfast was very good, with a nice variety and fresh options to start the day. The service throughout our stay was consistently friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived.||We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting San Sebastián who’s looking for a quiet, comfortable spot in a great location.

The hotel hides in a small street not far from the beach, the bus station and the city centre. With a supermarket right in front of the hotel and plenty of eateries close by, the hotel is a good value and friendly alternative in Donostia. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

The hotel location was excellent, 5 mins walk from the old town. Cleanliness was great and the daily prosecco and coffee stations were a great addition! I highly recommend Arrizul congress On all levels!

Location is great, in the heart of Gros and easy to get anywhere. Coffee bar is a nice touch. The staff is friendly and the room was clean and had almost everything we needed - conditioner would be a plus! The only annoying thing was that the WiFi was so weak it was pretty much unusable.

Great location, just 10 mins walk to the Old town. Room basic but clean and functional. Strange layout in bathroom, with toilet close to shower, so entering shower cubicle took some practice. Good flow of water though. Would have liked more shelving for toiletries. Bed was very firm for me, some may like this. The room had a TV, but only had channels via ariel. No streaming options like Netflix or Disney were available. WiFi is available and was fast enough. Room temperature was too high at night, with no override available on the aircon. Opening a window helped, but meant having noisy pigeons disturb your sleep at dawn. Rooms being serviced also added to noise reducing any chance of a late sleep. We did not try the breakfast, as this seemed expensive compared to local cafes. No complaints about staff, who were welcoming and helpful. Late checkout and baggage storage were appreciated. Overall, good value hotel, but not 4 star luxury.
