The view and quality of the rooms are fantastic. We really enjoyed the excursions, the guides are excellent and attentive. Constructive comments: 1. Regarding breakfast, I think it needs a greater variety of fruits, not to mention the service, since on New Year's Day there was hardly anyone to make or serve coffee; 2. There is a noise from the exhaust fan or generator on the upper floors that urgently needs to be fixed. They changed our room, but I think the problem is serious; 3. The restaurant has excellent ingredients, but because it tries to make the food so sophisticated, it ends up compromising the quality of the food. Less is more. I also found the price of wines to be much higher than the market price; I think three times the reference value is a lot for a wine-producing country.

We had a superb time at Hotel Awa… had originally booked for 4 nights but extended to 5 (reducing a day in Santiago) not long after checking in as we loved the place.|Beautiful setting on the lake with views of the volcano, fantastic bedrooms and bathrooms… just our style. Restaurant was lovely and food excellent so we just ate at the hotel or on tours.|Awa have an excellent excursion service with loads of options. We were in the height of their winter but there were loads of options. We did one trip to the local national park followed by a boat trip on a lake, which we loved. We also did a second trip to the hot springs, which was fantastic. The trip there was about 2 hours but gave a good tour of the region and the hot springs are well worth a visit. Going with hotel tours were really good to have experts taking you around, got a lot of info and history and well setup and run with great friendly guides.|All of the staff at the hotel were lovely and helped make our stay amazing.|Was a great visit in low season and mixed between relaxing in hotel and trips… perfect.||One traveller tip: Need to run hot water for a bit before it fully kicks in and can switch modes easily in showers etc. think due to local water distribution approach but works great once going.

My husband and I travelled here on our honeymoon! We loved the accommodations! The view is spectacular and the staff were incredibly friendly and happy to help make our experience special! The food in the restaurant is delicious and fresh! We could not recommend a stay here more!

This hotel sits right on the edge of the lakeside with views across to a volcano,|makes best use of views with floor to ceiling glass windows.|Excellent hotel with good restaurant and friendly staff. Very comfortable room looking out over the water. Hotel on lakeside road about thirty minutes from Puerto Varas, we took the local bus into town as it stops outside hotel, only 500 pesos each way per, person, worth a visit.|Used the pool once, bit on the cold side!|Can book trips and activities from the hotel if required as there is a travel desk.|Nice hotel for relaxing stay out on it’s own.

Very much enjoyed the Awa. We were in a suite which was very comfortable and spacious. Great view and staff incredibly helpful and accommodating. The suite was located on the far right (when looking at the lake) and when the door was opened to the balcony there were hvac noise rather than listening to the lake waves crash which was suboptimal. There were a few things that were not functional (the blinds) that needed to be fixed. Otherwise, the half board option was appropriate (same menu all the time for breakfast, lunch and dinner so more variety would be ideal). We also had massages which were good. I’d recommend to others.

Having endured a highly unpleasant and intimidating check in, we were shown to a wonderfully appointed suite overlooking Lake Llanquihue and Volcan Osorno. Having only recently been built, the hotel has a modern design with rough concrete as a key structural feature throughout. Sadly, for us, it soon became evident that the AC emitted a sharp, penetrating buzz at intervals of a few minutes. Despite the best attempts of the maintenance team over the next 2 days, the fault could not be rectified, though it was much improved. It transpired that the problem is a long-standing one and widespread. The hotel readily offers ear plugs to guests! During our 4-night stay other maintenance issues also came to light. The other issue was noise from other guests: the design of the rooms is such that the fireplace opens into a flue, which travels from top to bottom of the hotel – thus one is exposed to every guest’s arguements, amorous overtures and, most disturbing, screaming youngsters! When one is expecting to enjoy a fine dinner, with stunning views of the Lake and Volcano Osorno, it is disappointing to be confronted with an overly rich, pretentious menu of mediocre quality food. Further, it was mainly served by pretentious, inexperienced staff (though there were notable exceptions) – one charged us for 3 bottles of wine (c.f. 3 glasses!). The breakfast buffet is extremely cramped and becomes overwhelmed (and depleted). We feel much saddened to write this review as the owner / manager is very attentive and willingly offered us some recompense for the problems we had encountered - but that was not our goal in choosing the Hotel Awa!

A wonder-filled experience. My husband and I flew down to Hotel Awa after spending four days in Santiago for a wedding. Our trip to the hotel was short and sweet, but boy did they take care of us. Anything you asked for people rushed to accommodate. The sweetest people. We did two amazing excursions one to the hot springs and another on a national park hike. Marcello lead up both times and was amazing. ||Pros: |-service (!!!!!) |-room view |-excursions |-ease|-general magic ||Cons: |-poorly advertised price for excursions (to be completely fair I never asked the price, but because no one talked about it at all I began to assume, a bit like an idiot, that they were a part of the room price, had a bit of sticker shock at the end) |-very limited choices in restaurant (my husband adored the food but I have dietary restrictions and had a bit of a hard time, ended up losing weight so maybe a pro in the end) (if they added a couple elevated basics like a chicken breast, salad, or a pasta to the menus I would be thrilled and back in a heartbeat) ||Would love to go back!! Thank you for an amazing time!

Great rooms and team. Skip the restaurant at all costs! Way over their head with too complicated dishes that were poorly prepared. Service was horrible - worst of three weeks in Chile.
