B Design & Spa (Paradou, French Riviera / Provence) 1 Hotel Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"One school of thought, when it comes to country escapes, is to seek out rustic atmosphere; Provence, especially, is famous for its farmhouses. But a good modern building should have a sense of place as well. There’s nothing at all rustic about Hotel B Design & Spa, that much is obvious — but from poolside, surrounded by lavender fields, you’d be hard pressed to argue that this low-slung modernist structure is any less connected to the countryside than any of the South’s more traditional estates." - Tablet Hotels

Hotel B Design & Spa | Best places to stay in Provence

"Designed by Christophe Pillet, this ultra-contemporary, minimalist hotel is secluded in the olive groves under the Alpilles, in one of the most beautiful corners of Provence. This exclusive haven has just 14 suites and a spa where you can enjoy Carita and Decleor treatments, as well as indoor and outdoor pools. Nancy Bourguignon’s creative, seasonal cuisine and superb breakfasts, and romantic packages with dinner or spa pampering thrown in, make it a real destination hotel. It’s also close enough to the region’s main attractions to combine hedonist indulgence with sightseeing – it’s a short hop from the Camargue, Avignon, Arles and Saint-Rémy among others. It’s a friendly, family-run operation with a close-knit team of professionals. A wonderful retreat in a gorgeous Mediterranean setting – with the price tag you’d expect. " - Dana Facaros

Thi is a fabulous hotel. It's beautifully landscaped, the room we had was gorgous and spacious, the staff were unbelievably nice and helpful, and they have two pools that are gorgeous. The owner is on top of things morning, noon and night, and is helpful in every way. We were upgraded to a suite when we arrived, and our room had a king sized bed, a living area with a long leather sofa, a double sink in the bathroom with a huge soaking tub plus a glass shower, separate toilet area with additional bidet and urinal. Our glass windows opened up to a private patio facing the smaller pool for just the guests in our building, which was 5 star. We didn't see the main building's rooms which are apparently a bit older and are 4 star. The main building has Michelin rated restaurant where we ate the first night. The service was very nice, and the food was delicious. If you have breakfast there, they bring each person a carafe of the most delicious fresh squeezed orange juice, a bag containing a croissant, a pain au chocolate, and a couple of other pastries, iwth homemade jam, both plain and saled butter, and indiviual glasses with fresh fruit salad, rice pudding, cottage cheese, and homemade appu compote. And they bring you coffee or tea as ordered, and offer scrambled eggs, bacon and ham. It's in the courtyard adjacent to the main house and the pool, and is surrounded by trees and bushes and the sounds of chirping birds and a bubbling fountain. This place is divine.|My only complaint was that there were no railings on the steps going into and out of the pools, so it was very diffiult to get in and our safely, especially since the first step was very deep. But the water was wonderful. And if you wanted drinks or food at the pool or in your room they would bring it to you.|This hotel is also very safe feeling with locked doors and gates to get through to access the rooms and pool areas.

This hotel is simply paradise on earth!! A family-run gem operated by amazing people who have hospitality and service flowing through their veins. The level of service, the attention to detail, and every facility in the hotel are simply stunning. Vanessa, Victor, and the entire staff go above and beyond to make sure you feel amazing. Breakfast is something truly rare – the freshness, the variety, the elegance. And the highlight – dinner at Nancy Bourguignon: a unique culinary experience not to be missed! In short, we’re already counting the days until we return to this little piece of heaven. Thank you, dear family, for hosting us with such warmth – you are forever in our hearts. ❤️

This is a stunning hotel, the suite we had was gorgeous and spacious with a huge balcony. There were 2 pools but we preferred the smaller one surrounded by lush greenery and flowers- absolute heaven. We had breakfast one day and that was lovely although it was a little hectic- my poached eggs arrived quite a while after my husband’s scrambled eggs but they were very busy today. The rooms were divine, the beds huge and very comfortable and the bathroom was huge. We also loved the balcony and the nespresso coffee maker. We loved the location as we visited St Remy and Arles- both just 30 minutes away. The villages of paradou and Mousanne weee great too, lovely restaurants and bakeries nearby. Would absolutely recommend this hotel.

I rarely write reviews but this hotel warrants special attention. I stayed there for 4 nights with 2 of my children who are in their 20s and we all absolutely loved it! It’s a family run hotel which is evident through the warm and detailed level of service. Many thanks to all the family and staff for their superb care and special thanks to Victor who was exceptional! We ate several times at the restaurant and everything we ordered was mouth watering. They only bring in fresh produce so you may not necessarily be presented with the same menu every day which is a testament to the high quality of food you are presented with. The room was large, super clean and comfortable with a lot of wardrobe space and a spacious bathroom with a great shower and bath. There was a beautiful balcony outside with sun loungers and table and chairs. There are 2 pools to choose from. One is almost private - it’s so peaceful and surrounded by beautiful plants and trees. If you want a relaxing and calming break with a great zen vibe, good food and wonderful surroundings this is THE place to go. I would definitely go again and would highly recommend to family and friends without hesitation.

Our suite was beautiful and modern, with lots of room to spread out. We particularly loved the big comfy bed and the shower. Our only small issue was that neither TV worked. They would work for 15 seconds, then freeze for 5, etc. Not an issue for us though. The location, being so close to town was great, as there was a good selection of places for food and drinks.

We made a last minute change to B Design and our stay was the highlight of our trip. We loved our suite, the grounds and how easy it was to take day trips from the hotel. As much as we loved the hotel, we loved the restaurant even more. We ate 3 dinners in a row at the restaurant and the food was fantastic. Victor took care of us every night and our our final night took us into the kitchen to meet his mother, who is the head chef. Many thanks to everyone we met at B, the staff went out of its way to make our trip a huge success. We loved the experience and hope to return some day!

This has genuinely been one of the best stays I’ve had. Even though I was here for one night, they made amazing accommodations for me on such short notice. They were kind and treated me as though I was family. I would definitely recommend this place. ||||Moving on to the food. As someone who is very critical of the food I eat. This hotel is hands down one of the best places I’ve eaten at. Everything was fresh and tasted amazing. You will truly love the food here

My wife and I stayed at the hotel for 4 nights during the month of June and our experience was splendid. The hotel is truly charming (photos do not reflect it well), the rooms are very generous with all amenities, the bathrooms are spacious and well designed, the views and the surrounding serenity have healing effects!||We had access to the gym, 2 outdoor pools (1 belonging to the next door sister hotel), and we tried the SPA which we highly recommend after a long day in the sun. Shout out to Martin and Victor and all the kind team members who catered for our needs. ||||The hotel is very well located for those planning to explore the castles of the Alpilles (most of which are within 20 to 25 minutes by car), the massive olive and vine yards, and of course those who want to follow the footsteps of Vincent Van Gogh where he painted some of his masterpieces during his stay in this area. ||||And last but not least, the hotel's restaurant is a must try for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Chef Bourguignon creates daily menus inspired by her Flemish heritage and Provincial dishes. ||||P.S: Hiring a car for your stay is highly recommended.
