"This chic restaurant is part of the Bad Horn Hotel & Spa and as such is located right by Lake Constance. The divine views over the water certainly add an air of romance to proceedings; the terrace is also gorgeous. The food is modern with classical foundations and international influences ranging from the Middle East to Asia. Committed and very friendly service. Good wine list." - Michelin Inspector

Excellent stay - great location and service. ||The room was fantastic and the beds super comfortable.||Breakfast was ok. Veggie choices in the restaurant predictable (soup/salad/pasta) and could be improved.

The hotel was very comfortable. The room was spacious and well equipped. The staff were excellent and the views over the lake were superb. The food was good, and the breakfast choice excellent. I required an iron, which was not in the room, but the hotel provided a service to iron the clothes needed

Great Great Grandfather moved to the UK from this area in 1903, must have been because Bad Horn spa was not there then.|We travelled as a party of 9, researching the family tree, the hotel and staff were fantastic, we dined, we drank wine, champagne and port, from the excellent selection they cellar.|The food was well presented and delicious, breakfast was the full European spread, our rooms were super clean and comfortable, the Housekeepers work to the highest of standards and deserve special mention and praise, the spa facilities were super, clean, functional and fun, I even swam the lake at 8c.|All staff treated us like locals and provided much local knowledge of the history of the area, Swiss train/ tram & bus transport is also an absolute efficient dream service, making Bad Horn a great choice to stay as everywhere is accessible from its location.

We’ve been guests in August for the past three years. We like the waterfront location and facilities of the hotel with its Spa and direct access to the lake. This year, however, unlike anytime before that we were unable to sleep well… and, consequently, rest. Our room was located near the external air conditioning unit or the boiler pipe which resulted in a continuous buzz and vibration which was mainly bothersome at night. If you decide to stay there we recommend that you avoid room 224. A second thing count our attention this year; the food quality seem to have worsened. We felt things were much less tasty, even simple items such as eggs and cheese from the breakfast buffet. That said the location remains wonderful and perhaps our overall negative perception was influenced by higher expectations from prior stays.

Dear Sirs,||||First of all I would like to thank your staff and hotel for a wonderful holiday.||||Everything was at the highest professional level.||||Two small remarks:||1. A glass of sparkling wine at breakfast would be an unforgettable "cherry" on a wonderful breakfast at the hotel.||2. Access to the lake: the last three steps on the stairs leading to the lake are underwater and very slippery. In my opinion, this can lead to serious problems for the safety of guests. These steps must be cleaned of algae every morning.||||Best regards||Valeriy

Yelp
The reason why I am giving this hotel a three star review has to do with the lack of a few things. First it does not have any air conditioning which is pretty normal for this area but the windows can't be open at night because there are no screens. Again pretty normal. But it makes for a very oppressive stay when the weather is hot. Which it was in the beginning of July. Also, on one of the nights of my stay there was a wedding and things got pretty loud with the music and partying. A group were staying on the next floor and they pretty much spent the entire night celebrating. Don't get me wrong I am all for that but they should put the party on the lower floor and not directly over someone. The management was nice enough to comp one night of my stay but it doesn't makeup for a very hot sleepless night. Other than that the property is very well situated with commanding views of Lake Constance.

Yelp
We came here for one night incl. dinner and spa. After the check-in an employee showed us around through the spa, bars and restaurants which was very nice as you can get a good overview of the hotel in the beginning Food: They have a rich breakfast buffet. For dinner we were eating at "Wave Emily". Eventhough it has "only" 13 Gault Millau Points it was outstanding! In my opinion totally more than 13 Gault Millau deserved. All the courses i had were excellent and very special. Really recommandable! 5/5 Service: Very attentive, friendly and informative. The timing was as you expect at such a price-class and very well educated. 5/5 Spa: They have a good variety to go for a wellness. Incl. an outdoor whirlpool and fireplaces in the inside which look very cool! 5/5 Bar: The bar has a very good atmosphere (with fireplaces and beautiful views) and good stuff. Unfortunately not such a great variety of alcohol 4/5 Atmosphere: The whole restaurant is designed kinda like a boat. A lot of wood and metal. It looks really nice and the rooms are good-looking too. They are a little but older but still in good shape 5/5 (for rooms 4/5) Location. JUST WOW! It is situated at a very big lake (which sometimes looks like the ocean) and the view is just amazing. 6/5.

Yelp
This is a review of the restaurants at this hotel. There are two restaurants in this hotel right next to each other, and both bar access to the beautiful lake view which has frequent sailing boats channeling around. The menu prices are average/reasonable and the service is very good. We decided not to order from the gourmet 5 course menu (which was around ~100 francs) and opt for the a la carte. The selection was small yet diverse and the food was quite tasty. The entrecôte, club sandwich (perfectly sized so you can actually eat with your hand w properly portioned chicken and bacon) and mixed salad (with an excellent touch of carrots in light vinegar sauce, corn, and fresh green lettuce) were all in very good portion and quality. Wedding parties are quite common at this restaurant and with the gorgeous summer view of the lake I can see why anyone, who is seeking a beautiful refuge over a meal and view; would come here. A 45 minute-ish drive from Zurich, as Adam Sandler would say, not too shabby.
