Seven of the Most Luxurious Hotels in Paris

"Hôtel Fouquet’s is meant to be a 21st century palace hotel, a contemporary complement to the classic likes of Le Crillon or the Plaza Athenée. In this it lands pretty much right on the mark. The interiors, by Jacques Garcia, are the very picture of modern (not modernist) luxury – they look to us pretty much as The Ritz’s classic interiors must have looked to the hotel critics of the year 1898." - The MICHELIN Guide

"Hotel Barrière Le Fouquet’s Hotel Barrière Le Fouquet's surrounds the famous Fouquet’s café that opened in 1898 on the avenue des Champs Élysées as a footman’s hangout and evolved into a high-society spot where Marlene Dietrich and other early cinema stars signed contracts. Part of a French luxury chain, this stylish smallhotel draws celebs (Beyoncé and Jay-Z, George and Amal Clooney); French entertainers stage variety shows in the salons; and movie companies book roomsdonein elegant off-whites, grays and understated goldsby Jacques Garcia (all renovated in 2017) as backdrops for film-promotion interviews. Excellent location and service. The hotel public areas are a bit quirky but the rooms are very understated and well furnished. We had a junior suite which was very spacious. Service was excellent. The spa area was phenomenal although the pool is quite small. The gym was adequate as well. The breakfast was really good. Super fresh ingredients and nothing was too much trouble. Perfect hot chocolate and the most delicious avocado toast.

Amazing hotel! Everything was perfect – luxurious and comfortable rooms, an excellent location, and a rich breakfast. The hotel’s restaurants deserve special praise – the food was simply outstanding, the atmosphere elegant, and the service impeccable. The entire stay was luxurious and truly unforgettable. A special thanks to the hotel manager, who was incredibly attentive and friendly, making our experience even more enjoyable. I will definitely visit again!

I travel constantly for work and stay in some of the best hotels around the world but my true favorite is Hôtel Barrière Fouquet’s. The location is outstanding, but what truly sets this hotel apart is the exceptional level of service. The welcome is warm and professional, and I must give a special mention to the housekeeping team, my room was always spotless, and the attention to detail was simply remarkable. For example, I had opened a bottle of Coca-Cola and left it in the fridge unfinished… when I came back, they had recapped it! That level of precision is rare and impressive. The head housekeeper was both kind and highly professional. The same goes for everyone at the hotel, front desk, security, valet, concierge… each person contributes to making this place feel like a true palace. A heartfelt thank you

One of the best experiences we’ve ever had in hotels. The room was beautiful, and the hotel staff made our family Christmas trip unforgettable. They took care of every detail and spoiled our children with thoughtful gestures. Highly recommended! We will definitely come back.

Our stay at this hotel was nothing short of extraordinary. One of the best experiences we’ve ever had in Paris. If you’re looking for a true luxury experience near the Champs-Élysées, this is the place to be. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and elegance. Pierre greeted us with Ruinart Champagne, accompanied by delicious olives and flavored nuts, setting the tone for what would be an exceptional stay. The concierge team was simply outstanding, delivering impeccable service and attention to detail. A special shoutout to Emmanuel, Dimitri, Pierre, Enzo, and Ehrmose, who went above and beyond to make our trip unforgettable. Emmanuel, Dimitri, and Pierre, in particular, exceeded every expectation, demonstrating a level of hospitality that truly sets this hotel apart. Every evening, we returned to our room to find beautiful surprises like fresh flowers, champagne, and exquisite desserts, each a thoughtful touch that made our stay even more special. What truly amazed us was the team’s ability to anticipate our desires, surprising us with little gifts and gestures inspired by passing comments we had made. It was clear that they didn’t just provide excellent service; they listened, cared, and created moments we will cherish forever. One of the highlights of our trip was being invited to the le bar de L’Escadrille inside Fouquet’s restaurant. We asked for a surprise, and they delivered beyond expectations, serving us incredible custom cocktails that were as stunning as they were delicious. It was the perfect prelude to our anniversary dinner, made even more special by the luxury car arrangements they organized for us. As we departed for the Champagne region, the team sent us off in style with a bottle of Fouquet’s Champagne, elegant glasses, and fresh macarons, yet another thoughtful and generous touch that perfectly capped off our stay. This hotel is more than just a beautiful place to stay, it’s an experience in itself. The level of service, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality make it truly exceptional. If you’re fortunate enough to have the same staff we did, rest assured that you’ll be in the best of hands. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough, it made our trip to Paris absolutely unforgettable.

We had an outstanding stay here. We visited for four nights over Thanksgiving weekend using the AMEX Fine Hotels and Resorts program. Prior to our arrival, the concierge team was very responsive and helpful. They arranged a private transfer from the airport and upon our arrival we were greeted by-name as we exeited the vehicle and by each staff member we passed on our way to the room. We did not have to stop in the lobby to check in, instead Lara whisked us to our room, gave us a tour and quickly took care of check in formalities in the room, which was ready early and opened directly onto the Champs Elysees.||During our stay, we had constantly first-rate experiences. From the first housekeeping visit organizing our luggage in a perfect way, to the rose petals on the bed, to the very welcoming spa experience under the hotel, to the constant by-name greetings and yes's from the staff, it was a great vacation. ||The room was well appointed, with a Nespresso and decent selection of snacks and drinks. The bed was very comfortable and the in-room light controls made it easy to manage the lighting. The closet was large enough to hang everything and the towel rack was heated. The view onto the Champs Elysees during the holiday season was the cherry on top. ||I would 100% recommend this hotel to couples desiring a romantic Parisian getaway, I will review the restaurant (also great) separately.

If there is a standard for luxury, Hôtel Barrière Le Fouquet’s doesn’t just meet it—it redefines it. Having just returned from an extraordinary week at this legendary property, I can confidently say that this was not merely a hotel stay; it was an experience—a masterclass in hospitality, elegance, and impeccable service. From the very moment we arrived in Paris, we knew this would be something special. We were greeted at the plane, a seamless welcome that felt more like the arrival of royalty than hotel guests. The transition from Charles de Gaulle to the hotel was effortless, and upon stepping into Le Fouquet’s, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of refinement, warmth, and genuine care. The service? World-class is an understatement. The team at Le Fouquet’s anticipated our every need before we could even voice it. It was as if they had mastered the art of reading minds—every detail was flawlessly orchestrated, every interaction delivered with the perfect balance of professionalism and warmth. The concierge team, the restaurant staff, the housekeeping—every single person embodied the essence of five-star hospitality. The suite was nothing short of breathtaking, a sanctuary of Parisian elegance where luxury and comfort intertwined seamlessly. The meticulous attention to detail, the exquisite furnishings, and the enchanting views made it impossible not to feel utterly transported. Every morning, we woke to the soft glow of the Parisian sunrise filtering through our windows, and every evening, we returned to a perfectly curated haven. Dining at Fouquet’s? A culinary symphony. Every meal was a testament to French gastronomy at its finest—flawless execution, divine flavors, and an ambiance that effortlessly married history and modern luxury. Whether it was a leisurely breakfast, an indulgent afternoon tea, or a magnificent dinner, each experience was elevated beyond expectation. The spa? A retreat within a retreat. A place where time slowed down, where every treatment was executed with precision, and where tranquility reigned supreme. But what truly sets Le Fouquet’s apart isn’t just its stunning property, its Michelin-worthy cuisine, or its unrivaled amenities—it’s the people. The team here does not simply provide a service; they create unforgettable moments. Their passion, pride, and dedication transform a luxury stay into a masterpiece of hospitality. After traveling extensively and staying in some of the world’s finest hotels, I can unequivocally say that Le Fouquet’s is in a league of its own. This is not just a place to stay in Paris—it is the place to stay. If you seek the pinnacle of Parisian luxury, a stay where perfection is not just delivered but surpassed, then look no further. To the entire team at Hôtel Barrière Le Fouquet’s: merci infiniment for an experience that we will cherish forever. We cannot wait to return. Jason & Andrea Armstrong

Google
Location is great. Room is spacious but a little dated. Service is just ok, not great. Breakfast service could be from slow to terribly slow. When we checked in, we were told this hotel is in the process of being promoted to “palais” class. I think they have a very long way to go.

Yelp
Let yourself surrender to the charms and temptations of one of the finest 5 star hotels in Paris, located where Champs-Élysées meets avenue George V, a stone's throw from Arc de Triomphe, and steps from Louie Vuitton flagship store. The renowned Hôtel Barrière Le Fouquet's delivers luxurious accommodations with a relaxing atmosphere, the newly refurbished Paris icon let's you fall in love with Paris over and over again. The 101 soundproof suites and guests rooms were lavishly furnished by renowned French architect Jacques Garcia, with warm tones of beige and gold, impressive headboards, and sumptuous bed, desk, and dressing room, beautiful marble bathrooms, digital tablet, and complimentary high speed WiFi, overlooking Avenue George V, Champs-Élysées or the garden (courtyard). Service and attention to detail is second to none, well appointed suites, elegant if understated check-in lobby, exceptional concierge desk, opulent full service spa and pool, magnificent restaurants, bars, and even a card room with 14 poker tables. With its iconic red awnings, the celebrated restaurant Le Fouquet's depuis 1899, registered as a historical french monument, has been the heart of Champs-Élysées, and Paris itself, in 2017 and in collaboration with Chef Pierre Gagnaire, a legend in his own right, this classic Parisian brassiere refreshed its traditional menu, don't worry, still features french classics as Escargot, Sole Meunière, and Beef Tartare, a perpetual favorite of jet setters, the arts and culture, for several decades has also been the place where the Gala dinner after the César awards ceremony has been celebrated, the equivalent of the Hollywood Oscars, its golden chandeliers and the display of photographs of famous guests, helps set the perfect mood for a delightful dining experience. There are healthy number of lavish 5 star hotels in Paris, in my opinion, no more than a handful would be considered to be at same level and prestige of Hôtel Barrière Le Fouquet's, the Four Seasons Hotel George V, The Peninsula Paris, and maybe Le Maurice* (one on 9 hotels George Clooney is encouraging people to boycott). This hotel is exquisite at every level, a place to relax, recharge, and rejoice, we should all experience Hôtel Barriére Le Fouquet's at least once. * George Clooney is calling on Hollywood and people around the world to boycott the nine hotels owned by the Sultan of Brunei and his Brunei Investment Agency.

Yelp
Great location and very quiet even though you are right in the action. Close to the water and metro. Very nice high end hotel. We also had laundry done. This is a must when traveling for long periods of time!

Yelp
Great location , service , and amazing room. What else could you possibly ask for ? Stay there with family in one triple and one double. Rooms are super spacious with inside courtyard or Champs Elysees views. Swimming pool and SPA is just amazing and breakfast , restaurants irresistible , very high quality ! The staff was very welcoming and genuinely friendly. We definitely recommend the Barrier Fouquet's Paris . If you want to visit the Louis Vuitton Foundation there is a shuttle next to the hotel on the Champs Elysees (1euro pp) , leaves every 15 minutes . The building itself, by Frank Gehry, is worth the visit. The Baccarat museum , The Foundation Pierre Berge Yves Saint Laurent 11 minutes walk so much so see !

Yelp
Fantastic view of the Bastille Day Parade! Restaurant is located on the Champs Elysees on a high-traffic corner that the police keep clear of bystanders, which keeps your view clear! Food & drinks are good, prices posted on menu outside - the view makes it all worthwhile!

Yelp
The hotel is amazing - excellent service, great location, and a great fine hotels and resorts property. Have already recommended to a friend and will definitely be back!

Yelp
Beautiful hotel with impeccable service without the obligatory tip. Rooms are spacious with separated shower and toilet. There's even a walk-in closet! The king bed is really a king bed - not the one where they push two twin beds together. The pool and spa is a great way to end the day of walking or after a long flight. There is also a relaxation room with Evian water bottles everywhere. Overall a true luxury hotel worth noted! Cons: knock off 0.5 stars for the slight smell of smoking/cigarettes in our room...but then is there such a thing as a non-smoking room?

Yelp
I love this hotel! My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon. When we arrived the staff was super friendly and showed us around the hotel. They checked us in early and took us to our upgraded room that was decorated with rose petals and candles. They also had fruit and champagne in the room. Every staff member we encountered was incredibly friendly. The room was very spacious, had a big tub and nice shower. The spa and food were great! I have no complaints what so ever! I loved my stay here and would love to return some day!!

Yelp
WOW, that's all I can say about this hotel. The equipment, the service, the rooms, the staff: here everything is perfect! The hotel is decorated very stylish and top-modern. You will receive a scent of Hermès perfume, the luxury extends throughout the hotel up to the departure. Here we are happy to host and guests are welcome. A butler service also for guests who stay only in the simple double rooms. Very pleasant, personal service in the bar. Everything is incredible! I will not write much anymore because I'm still impressed and overwhelmed. Service and hospitality at its finest!

Yelp
Really enjoyed our 3 night stay celebrating our Anniversary. Exceptional property with every convenience. You will be hard pressed to find a Parisian hotel as nice as Fouquet's and with service rarely found anywhere in the world. Only drawback (for some), is the busy Champs-Élysées location but the updated construction provided a wonderful and quiet retreat. Only downside was the Vuitton flagship store across the street-definately raised the price of our visit.

Wendi M.

Yelp
Quite possibly one of the best hotels in Paris. Conveniently located near the Champs-Élysées yet due to triple paned windows there is no street noise. The decor is modern yet warm. Parisian hotel bathrooms are notoriously small especially by American standards yet the Hotel had beautiful and spacious bathrooms. The Gallery Bar was hip yet welcoming with a fantastic light show. We were thrilled to have a 24/7 butler Sebastien. The service was impeccable and the staff was friendly. Looking forward to a return trip!

Yelp
Service was great. Good location. We stayed 8 nights. Were supposed to get one night free for every 4night stay based on their promotion with AMX, but they only gave us one night free (in process of disputing the charge for extra night with credit card company). They rate their hotel as 5star, but rooms are closer to 4 star. A bit overpriced for 4star hotel. Overall, good stay with great service.
