"This 38-room hotel isn’t just a stylish addition to the capital, it’s one giant leap for Latvian hospitality. Situated three blocks from the cobblestoned streets of the Old Town, the Bergs consists of a pair of historic buildings connected by a glass roof that allows light to flood the atrium. The hotel is part of Bergs Bazaar, a charming arcade of alleyways and courtyards that contains many of Riga’s most fashionable cafés, restaurants, and stores, and its interiors—dark-oak floors, gallery-white walls, contemporary and traditional art—successfully blend old and new. Loftlike bedrooms in shades of gray and white are surprisingly spacious for a structure dating to 1895, with luxurious stone-and-chrome bathrooms. Downstairs are two clubby lounges, a bar, and the Bergs Restaurant, one of Riga’s best. The small gym is worth a visit mainly for its city views; however, a glass-walled conference room affords an even more dazzling panorama over the rooftops of Riga."

Fabulous stay for 3D 2N at Bergs Suites. Superb location, massive rooms and the friendliest and most helpful staff ever. Traveled as a family with a 2 year old and the huge spotless studio with lovely views and all amenities within a 5 mins walk including a big park was just splendid. The entire staff were extremely helpful and made sure we had a great time during our stay. Highly recommended and will definitely visit again. Thank you!

My new wife and I stayed here for our wedding. They accommodated all our guests to the highest standards. The staff were friendly and attentive. They even added personal touches to congratulate and make our stay even better. Highly recommended, we will certainly stay here again!

Hotel is in very good located, they have very big rooms with super comfortable king size beds! Staff is very kind and helpful. They don’t have breakfast service, but at the next doors there is cosy place to have breakfast or super fancy dinner in the restaurant straight next to the hotel. Definitely recommend and definitely will come back.

We choosed this suites in Riga to have a silent stay for the weekend. We had a unique suite with double floor, nice balkony and very comfortable bed. You have here everything also for a longer stay. Service was very helpful and nice.

Fantastic service. Spacious rooms. €20 parking per day with in/out privilege, which I think is about the same as anywhere else. Haven't eaten at restaurant, but supposed to be quite good. Probably one of the best hotels in Riga. Might get PIN points as a Air Baltic flyer as I saw that on the registration form?

Tucked away, but otherwise perfectly located luxury Hotel. A massive renovation of a previously historic building. Supremely comfortable beds, and most rooms equipped with a compact kitchenette. Room sizes can vary considerably, but most are rather bland. Buffet breakfast extremely basic, and the service needed for extra items, cooked or otherwise, is agonisingly slow. Very peaceful in every way.

Nice hotel with elegant interior. Rooms are large and luxurious with a sofa and a kitchenette. Bathrooms have separate shower and bath. They vary in size some do not have a bidet. WiFi is a bit complicated but works well. Breakfast buffet is Scandinavian style and above average quality but not as good as the quality of the rooms. Staff were friendly and service was good. The hotel does not have its own parking facilities, evening and Sunday parking is free on the street and there is a public parking lot nearby. There is a small Sixt/Nextbike Station one block away.

Very warm welcome at check-in by a very friendly lady but the two guys at check-out were about as personable as a wet fish and very aloof. This is something I have noticed with other staff here, so it's 4* stars from me at best as good service with a friendly approach makes all the difference and it was distinctly lacking here. The hotel has stylish contemporary decor and extremely large rooms plus it is well located with just a short walk from the Old Town. The property consists of just 38 suites, so it never feels crowded and it can often feel as if you're the only people in residence, which might actually be the case given the grumpy staff. The breakfast was very good and whilst it's not the most extensive spread, it offers a very high quality including a selection of smoked fish and meats, a fantastic ceaser salad with king prawns, Greek salad, small dishes with smoked salmon, quails egg and horseradish cream through to Panna cotta and creme brulee. The usual hot selection was available plus a very nice a'la carte menu was also offered and included in the price, which also runs to a glass (or three) of Ruggeri Prosecco, which was a very pleasant way to start your day in Riga. The only downside of this hotel, apart from some of the staff, is the bathroom as it's much smaller in comparison to rest of the bedroom and a shower over the bath is very 2* in my opinion. Showering is especially awkward given the location of the shower head, which means the bath screen does little to prevent the bathroom flooding. I am also just over 6'3" and had to crouch somewhat whilst showering and maintaining my balance as the shower is located towards the end of the bath where it slopes. Guests would be much better served by a large walk in shower with maybe a separate bath and shower in the larger suites. The kitchenette in the suites seems like a totally unnecessary facility when it steals so much room from the bathroom. Guests have the benefit of a fantastic room service menu, excellent breakfast in the morning and one of the best restaurants in Riga at your disposal for lunch and dinner, so I don't understand the whole concept of the kitchenette with microwave in such stylish hotel rooms, especially when it's quite obviously at the expense of the bathroom. Turn down was offered each night by calling the room but when it was accepted it wasn't actually carried out.
