Hotel Casa del Poeta | Best places to stay in Seville, Andalusia

"The elegant 17th-century house, where poet Ximenez de Enciso was born, is now a plush boutique bolthole, only a three-minute walk from Seville’s Cathedral and Alcazar. Visiting royals love it for the peaceful oasis it offers in the heart of Barrio Santa Cruz; the central patio, with its splashing fountain, is unabashedly romantic, decorated with trailing ivy and modern art, while the roof terrace offers a bird’s eye of La Giralda. The spacious rooms, decorated with hand-painted murals, come in soft tones; the bar, all red and gold is irresistibly plush, and the cheerful staff couldn’t be more helpful. All in all, a perfect base for enjoying Seville in style. " - Dana Facaros

Our 5 night stay at this wonderful hotel was awesome. The center courtyard that the rooms surround is beautiful and peaceful. Our room on the 3rd floor was large and clean as was the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable. The roof top patio above the 3rd floor was a great place at night to take a drink up there and relax. The breakfast was very good with many hot and cold items to choose from. The location was convenient to walk to all sites, restaurants and bars. I highly recommend you book your transfer from the airport or train station through the hotel as the hotels location would be difficult to find for first timers. We will definitely stay here again.

Staying in Casa del Poeta is like a fairy tale… from the discreet entrance, the orange blossom scents throughout the hotel, the very friendly yet professional manner of the staff (we’d like to mention Sofia in particular, extremely helpful and always smiling!), the best cava welcome drink I ever tasted, gorgeous interior design throughout and great quality breakfast (complimentary, if you book directly through the hotel). The beautiful patio with little fountain, red bar, and rooftop terrace with view on the cathedral and the neighborhood. Everything is spot on. A live guitar player every night at 7.30PM adds to the magic. Super central location, you can go everywhere on foot, yet the hotel is very quiet for perfect night’s sleep. We highly recommend Casa del Poeta and would return with no hesitation!||P.S. It may be the time of the year, but the only one negative to mention were ants… both during breakfast and in the room we found some.

The guest experience at Casa Del Poeta was superb. The property is just stunning and the staff was outstanding. Staff was always helpful with entertainment and eating suggestions. The cathedral and the palace are just a couple of hundred yards away. There were numerous restaurants and shops nearby and the Santa Cruz neighborhood is truly a visual treat. We really enjoyed our stay in Sevilla and Case Del Poeta was a big part of that experience.

Loved our stay here! We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment for our family of 4, which was a short 5 minute walk from the check-in desk. Check-in was great- we sat in their lovely sitting area with complimentary drinks and snacks, and then a woman walked us to our apartment. Air conditioning worked great in there, and there was plenty of space, and it had excellent sound proofing. It was noisy at night outside but didn’t hear any of that inside with the windows shut. Location was perfect- right in the heart of town and easily walkable to many restaurants, bars and shops! Highly recommend! Loved the staff too!

A special boutique hotel offering an oasis of calm in a bustling city. A beautiful building tucked into a side street. Surprisingly, a short distance away awaits shopping, bars and restaurants. The breakfast was delicious with many choices again served with elegance. The front desk and all of the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was perfect for our family.

This is a 5 star hotel. We stayed 4 nights at this wonderful place and enjoyed it very much. The hotel is gorgeous, the personnel are friendly and helpful, the rooms are large as is the bathroom, the beds are very comfortable, the breakfast was wonderful with various items. We walked everywhere. The roof top provides great views with tables and lounges. I highly suggest you let the hotel provide the transportation from the airport or train station as the hotel is located in the Jewish quarter and would be hard to find if you did not know where you were going. Plus there is not a street directly in front of the hotel but with provided transportation they will help you with your luggage. When we visit Seville again we will definitely book a room here.

We’ve just returned from a 4 night stay at Casa Del Poeta and it was a lovely courtyard hotel. The room was quaint but comfortable (a nice mattress), really clean overall with mini molton brown products in the bathroom. Access to a safe, a small TV & hairdryer. Lovely staff, they greeted us with a welcome drink and helped take our luggage to the room, they also arranged an early morning (4:30am) taxi which was appreciated. Excellent location in the heart of everything, with the cathedral and alcazar being a few minutes away. Lots of restaurants close by too.

Walk into tranquility and historical beauty! A courtyard filled with plants, fountains, art and calmness, while the guitarist plays his music. The rooftop deck is an excellent place to view the city and enjoy the sunset. Our room was spacious, clean and beautiful.

Yelp
Excellent stay at this small, charming, intimate boutique hotel in a great location of Seville. Close walking distance to all the major sites you will see such as The Cathedral, Real Alcazar, Plaza Espana, Setas and more. Ton of nearby restaurants and bars, yet in a secluded street away from the noise. Live musical entertainment every night at 7:30PM in the courtyard. Solid breakfast buffet with eggs, pancakes, cereal, fresh fruits and juices, smoked salmon and more. Nicely appointed rooms with impeccable customer service. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

Yelp
What is not to love about this beautiful Spanish boutique hotel right in the heart of Sevilla. This truly is an above 5 Star find. I challenge you to your review. The room was incredible..clean, comfortable, spacious and inviting and here is the best part affordable. You are welcomed into the most plush architecturally landscaped stunning courtyard. Now add courteous friendly attentive staff and the stars burst through the roof. But wait I am not done ...the morning breakfast buffet and evening cocktails and well there you have it! . I mean forego the stars and add 5 ! Thank you Hotel Casa del Poeta you welcomed me and my significant other with open arms and then through in some love. i'll definitely be back and hopefully sooner rather than later! Enjoy the pics!

Yelp
I picked a fantastic hotel. Very tranquil in the heart of the old area of Seville in the Santa Cruz barrio. Close to the major sights Real Alcazar, Seville Cathedral, Giralda Tower, within 15 minutes to Plaza de España. Many places to choose from for tapas and other dining, flamenco nearby. My room is quite large with comfortable bed , terrace.Delicious breakfast with excellent service. Highly recommend staying here .

Yelp
Had a lovely stay at the Casa and hated leaving Seville. Victor welcomed us to the city, explained what we should not miss and gave us the inside track on where to get the pata negra. He's superb and an asset to their hotel. We'd stay here again without reservation and will likely do so soon.

Yelp
Perfect location ! Great communication with this hotel but very very difficult if you are driving a car in and they arrange to meet you at their reserved parking lot. They tell you to meet them near a public square but my advice would be to meet next to the parking lot and put that address of the parking lot in the gps and insist on meeting there! The hotel is set back from a busy pedestrian street and it can get noisy if you are in a room on the side of the courtyard near the front desk so request a room in the set back of the courtyard instead We were given a room directly above the front desk on the floor above the lobby and we could hear everything so avoid room 19. We then requested to change rooms and it was such a different experience. Beds are comfy with nice quality bedding and all the amenities our first room could have used a furniture update but 2nd room was much more spacious and had double sink area with more storage The concierges are wonderful and make excellent recommendations. They also recommended a private guide for the cathedral and palace and Mercedes was fabulous. My biggest pet peeve is the air freshener diffuser as you enter the hotel is just so overwhelming and wish they would remove. Breakfast was ample buffet hot and cold selection and good coffee and fresh fruit plate is served to you in a side room off lobby or the atrium courtyard Truly the best location in the city and we also visited several other fine hotels that were considered before we reserved here and this location is truly the most perfect in the city to get everywhere Staff are very helpful and our standout out for our stay was Nuennodine and Roc

Yelp
A beautiful small hotel hidden away in the old city just a short distance from the historic cathedral. Tip: strongly recommend that you take the hotel's suggestion (as we did) and have them book a taxi ahead to help you find this place. They are in a section that is pedestrian only so not only did our driver meet us with a sign at the train station but he walked us and our luggage from the point of no cars directly to reception-we would have wandered for hours! We splurged and booked a suite (room 25) on the top, "2nd" (that's 3rd in US terms) floor. Our room was quite large with a king size bed and was tastefully furnished, and had a nice modern bathroom. Pros: -large spacious room -helpful front desk staff will make reservation, book taxis and are very good with recommendations. Felipe was particularly good. -very quiet a/c, kept the room nice and cool -slept well in the bed although pillows are a bit small -updated and clean bathroom -good breakfast buffet with the typical European selections of eggs, cheese. Meat and pastries -cordial (seated) check-in proceeds with cheese and sherry or wine. - great location, close to everything -nice rooftop to sit on or to just take in the city or sip Opportunities: -bath amenities were just ok given the price and quality of the hotel -rooms were not very sound insulated although for the most part guests were very considerate-especially after dark. We could hear our neighbors showering one morning early. Bottom line: we enjoyed our three nights here and would definitely recommend to friends coming to Seville.

Yelp
The Casa del Poeta is absolutely fantastic. I would highly recommend to anyone. Rooms clean and well maintained. The breakfast and service super good and hotel staff Robin, Reise, Carlos and Rouo. Absolutely spectacular. Nothing to tuff for them to do. Treated us like royalty right from the start. Come check this place out. You will thank me.

Yelp
Staying at the Hotel Casa del Poeta was like staying at a friend's lovely home. The interior spaces of the hotel are so beautifully appointed, but not arrogant and the staff is incredibly kind and very accommodating. We were so comfortable and so very taken with the luxurious Spanish colonial design; fountains, urns, colorful tiles, large plants, aromatic arrangements of fresh lilies, Baroque mirrors and comfy furnishings. The staff reflects this same design; well appointed yet inviting. Every person we encountered on the hotel staff was polite, professional, friendly, and very helpful. Each morning and night we felt as though we were in the good care of family; sincere and generous hospitality from start to finish. Travel details that can sometimes be cumbersome were managed by concierge with a smile. Taxi? Done. Reservations to amazing restaurant? Done. Tickets to this? Done. To that? Done. Need a converter, more coffee, water, directions, a cocktail? Done. And impromptu Spanish lessons! LOL, yes, they helped us with our Spanish in the most joyful way. Their associated restaurant, San Marco, was the best meal we have had in a long time and it was surprisingly very affordable (quality ingredients, chef's creativity, and impeccable service greatly appreciated). I would recommend Hotel Casa del Poeta to anyone who is looking to enjoy the romantic essence of Sevilla; Spanish culture and hospitality at its best! We will be back.

Yelp
Casa de Poeta is an amazing boutique hotel. Key word is amazing! Superior service in every way. Delicious breakfast for only ten euro that includes a beautiful fruit dish and basket of toast, along with a buffet of breakfast foods. A fabulous classical guitarist appears in the evening to entertain you. When we arrived at the hotel, dusty from 27 hours of travel, they immediately had us drop off our luggage and seated us at a cozy table and served us a beverage of choice. After registering at our table Jessica gave us a map and went over highlights in the immediate area. Just wonderful. Felipe was also so nice and helpful as were all the staff. A very pleasant caring atmosphere. Great room and awesome walk in shower. Best hotel experience I have ever had. I would highly recommend Hotel Casa de Poeta.

Yelp
What a lovely experience in Seville that I just can't wait to write a review! This is an absolute gem! Poeta is a boutique hotel of about 17-18 rooms. It's only 4 years old, built from a 18th century house. We live in LA, and for our vacation, we just wanted a small town experience away from the hustle and bustle of a big city. Upon arrival, the front staff seated us at cute table in the courtyard, served us wine and peanuts. We rested while he registered us and took our luggage to our room. Our room was bright with a very updated bathroom. Our experience is that hotels in smaller European cities/towns tend to have outdated bathrooms. Not the case here! Breakfast experience was awesome! We sat in the courtyard. There's fresh squeezed orange juice, cappuccino made to order, fresh toasts and jam, fresh cut fruits, and buffet breakfast options of eggs, bacon, sausage, ham and cheese. Another very nice touch is at 745pm, there's a guitar player to entertain the guests. The rooftop area is quite spacious and charming, great for a romantic evening with a nice view while sipping a glass of wine. I highly recommend this charming boutique hotel. You won't have a bad time here! I promise! The staff really go above and beyond!

Yelp
Casa del Poeta I can't believe no one has written a review about this wonderful hotel in Seville! What a treat ! The hotel is near the Cathedral and other important landmarks in Seville, but that isn't the best part. It is a beautiful 18 room hotel, with a gorgeous patio, exceptional service, great rooms, and outstanding appointments. Each morning's breakfast was delicious ( fruit, pastries, eggs, jam in, bacon, coffee, etc. Super service and a "can do" attitude by the entire staff. Each evening was a classical guitarist in the patio! We loved that. The rooms were spacious, had everything we needed, including a coffee pot and teapot in the room(unusual for Spain). The only issue is the narrow streets make it impossible for ataxi to pull up to the door, so you have to walk a couple of blocks, no big deal compared to all the benefits you receive. We recommend this hotel to everyone!

Yelp
This was amazing. We had to come last minute and we were whisked away to a great experience. They knew we had been through a lot and they gave us drinks, we listened to the guitar player as they prepped our room. It was so inviting. They organized out tour tickets, bought them and printed them for us, and made every effort to make our stay perfect. Bathroom was on the larger end for Europe, delicious breakfast--lots of variety, super comfy bed--big comforter and large closet. I would 100% only stay here in Seville again and would recommend this to everyone.

Yelp
excelente! Wonderful staff, breakfast, quiet courtyard. Really enjoyed the location of this quiet boutique hotel in the winding small streets of Santa Cruz neighborhood.
