Charming local hotel with extremely caring and attentive staff. Before we arrived, they assisted me in setting up airport transfers and a city tour for our 2 night stay in Santiago. The breakfast was delicious with lots of options. Every evening they served wine to interested guests. Our bed was very comfortable. There are varied option for lunch/dinner nearby and we got some really good recommendations from the staff. The only drawback for some people may be that there is no elevator in this historic building. However if you are looking for a stay with local flavor and old world charm, this is a great option!

We booked this hotel through Booking.com for our first week of a 2-week family holiday to Chile; 2 rooms, each for 2 adults including breakfast.||It's a unique, boutique hotel and not at all like the chain hotels. It's located in the bohemian Bellavista area of Providencia & there are loads of shops, restaurants and bars locally (seek out Bellavista Patio).||Reception staff are ultra-helpful (particularly Barbara, who arranged trips for us via email before we arrived, including our airport pick-up); all speak very goof English.||The rooms are well-decorated and very clean. Beds are very comfortable and our rooms were quiet. The best feature of this hotel is its individuality, so if you appreciate somewhere just slightly different from the sterile-type ("all the same") hotels, then come here.||Rooms include a small safe & mini-bar fridge.||Breakfast is good, with a restaurant manager that will arrange omlettes, toasties to order. There's also buffet pastries, breads, juices & good coffee, etc. No dinner offering, though.||Unexpectedly, there is "wine happy hour" where a bottle of good red & white are left in the lounge (with coffee, water, etc) for guests without charge. Nice touch.||We loved our stay here & would certainly return.

I nearly didn't book this place, actually cancelled and rebooked twice as I just wasn't sure. So pleased I took the chance as this hotel has atmosphere like no other.|The antiques throughout give it such a homely decadent feel. The staff truely make you feel welcome, they are so helpful and most speak really good English. The nightly wine tasting was a total treat, very good wines, we enjoyed ours from the balcony which over looks the plaza providing fascinating people watching and amazing sunsets. We felt safe staying here, it’s extremely clean and tidy, has a beautiful courtyard and great breakfasts, oh and we had and a huge claw foot bath in our room too. The hotel is a short walk to the cable cars, city bike tours, metro and is surrounded by great restaurants and bars. Annette Australia

Exceptional hotel in a lovely, quiet area of the city. Views of the hills and trees all around. Short walk to great restaurants, cafes and bars. ||Staff are super friendly and helpful, I felt really welcomed here. They organised all my airport transfers easily and advised on things I could do on my trip .||The hotel is absolutely beautiful inside with comfortable communal areas and balcony. Breakfast was really good with the option of hot food as well as more traditional toast, fruits etc. Splendid outdoor patio for warm evenings...☀️||My room was perfect with very comfortable bed and spotlessly clean.||I really loved the service I received at this hotel, highly recommended as a safe, green base to explore the city.

I enjoyed an excellent stay at Hotel Boutique Castillo Rojo in Santiago de Chile. My room was gorgeous and quiet, the bed comfortable, pillows and sheets soft. The staff were gracious and helpful, arranging for reservations and transport, and generally making sure my stay was pleasurable. The hotel stay includes a good breakfast and a nightly happy hour wine tasting in their beautiful lounge area. Hotel Boutique Castillo Rojo is located in the lively Barrio Bella Vista neighborhood which had much food and entertainment available. I highly recommend this hotel!

Set in an old converted building in the heart of the Bella Vista District this hotel oozes history and charm.||It has a gated entry and courtyard area as well as a communal dining room downstairs where breakfast is served. Upstairs on the 1st floor is a guest lounge area with teas/coffees available 24/7. Alcoholic drinks are also available. ||The rooms are spacious and well appointed with all of the usual in room facilities including netflix enabled large TV, safe, wardrobe etc. The bed was super comfortable. ||The hotel staff were also very friendly. With many flights to Santiago arriving early morning we were pleased to be offered an early check-in for an extra $50 when we turned up at 9am. We were even able to have breakfast which is served from 7.30 and has a selection of hot and cold dishes. Gluten-free bread is also available on request and a breakfast box can be made if you have an early checkout. ||The only word of caution about the hotel is, being an historic building, there is no lift and the stairs would challenge someone with mobility issues.||That aside it is a great hotel and we would recommend.

I only had 2 nights to stay in Santiago and I wanted something central, comfortable and reasonably priced. The Castillo Rojo exceeded my expectations. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. The room, was well laid out and comfortable with good temperature control and decent space for a small room. They have a lovely lounge with "happy hour" wine in the late afternoon, and tea/coffee available rest of the time. Their breakfast service, while not a large selection, was sufficient for several days stay. The location is ideal, right in the heart of a vibrant selection of restaurants, as well as easy walking distance to subway and the zoo where you can take a funicular to top of the hill nearby, for a great view of the city at sunset. Definitely can recommend it for a short stay.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful and located within walking distance of many restaurants. The staff was incredibly helpful throughout our stay. We had a day trip to Inca Lagoon that was cancelled at the last minute and Barbara at the front desk contacted their tour operator after hours to take us there the next day. Our arriving and departing flights were both early in the morning. Erica was able to arrange for an early check-in for us, which was much appreciated after a 10-hour overnight flight. They also arranged for a 4:30 am taxi to take us to the airport.||Upon arrival, we were having problems with our phone and Lautero was kind enough to order an Uber for us with his own personal phone to take us to a restaurant a few miles away.||Breakfast was great. On days we had to leave early for a tour, they arranged for a boxed breakfast that we could take with us. ||All staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We will definitely return when we are back in Santiago.

Yelp
We stayed at "El Castillo Rojo" in Santiago (Chile) for one day on our journey to Patagonia. And yes, yes, yes we loved this place with its unique ambiance, spacious rooms and awesome breakfast. Super professional front desk service and then there is Sebastian. Hahaha, what a character! If he is still around by the time you get there, you will understand why he is worth to be mentioned in this post. Overall, this "Red Castle" will mark positive Chilean memories for you, of that I am sure. Enjoy!

Yelp
Stayed in this hotel for a couple of nights while visiting Santiago for a family engagement. It used to be a real castle! It comes with breakfast downstairs in the morning, fresh and convenient. The restaurant and hotel have a little cute courtyard. The staff was very helpful at all times! The hotel has a lobby extension on the first floor with a complimentary hotel guests wine hour every night at 5 PM which is super relaxing! You can walk out to the balcony and watch people walk by on the plaza while sipping on your libation. The lobby also has free coffee for hotel guests through out the day which is very convenient! The room we stayed at had a very comfortable bed and very interesting (historic) decor.

Yelp
My friend Joe recommended this boutique hotel because of its location near restaurants and shops. The bed was comfortable, the room was immaculate and spacious, the bathroom bright and spotless. I spent US$127 for one night and paid an extra US$45 to extend my checkout until 5pm, as my flight was not until 8:30 pm. I enjoyed its proximity to numerous restaurants and shops. I had dinner at Barrica 94 and lunch at Azul Profundo; both were excellent. I will stay here again the next time I am in Santiago.

Yelp
This boutique hotel feels just like home, maybe because it used to be one. In this hip area this is the best choice. Set just a few steps away from the chaos that can be Constitution and is Pio Nono, it is perfectly situated. It is extremely comfortable and the staff and services are outstanding!!

Yelp
First time visiting Chile. Staying in Santiago there is only one place to stay and that is Castillo Rojo. Located in the midde of it all shopping, dining and the Bohemia of Santiago. This quaint Castle turned into a 19 room boutique hotel each room with its own personality. Beautifully decorated and so much thought given to the littlest of details. My wife and I are having a second honeymoon. We love it, love it, love it. We highly recommend. Staff is great and personable. Looking forward to coming back again..
