Booked this hotel from Sunday, 26th Oct 2025 to Friday, 1st Nov 2025 while on vacation at Santiago to relax after a 7-day hike in Patagonia (W-Trek in Torres del Paine National Park). We stayed in Room 13, which was on the third floor. It had a very large bathroom, a closet that contained a bar fridge and a safe. They've provided a couple of disposable slippers and a pair of comfy dressing gowns. ||Our first impression of this hotel was that it was charming, as the red-facade building echoed the 1920s character, both externally and internally. Our room had a thick hardwood floor, vintage fixtures, and period touches reflected in the hung artworks and decor. Our king-sized bed was comfortable, and the linen felt like 1000-thread-count.||The location was excellent. Close to plenty of restaurants. The funicular was a 2-minute walk away. Definitely walkable to the Fine Arts Museum, San Cristobal Hill. Nightlife was just a block away. From Room 13, we rarely heard any outside noise; the windows were double-glazed and offered good sound insulation. ||There is a 24-hour free water, tea and coffee station on the first floor. At 5pm, there was a complimentary wine social, but we couldn't attend because our daily itinerary clashed. The complimentary breakfast was standard.||The staff were always friendly to talk to—commendation to Veronica and Miguel at the front reception and Andy at breakfast. Apologies, we can't remember his name at the front desk; this staff member was very helpful in directing my husband to the pharmacy to purchase cough medication. ||The only con is the lack of an elevator, which can be slightly inconvenient for those with heavy 30kg luggage.||Overall, would definitely stay here again if we come back and visit Santiago.
