Hotel Bowmann

"What's the vibe here? There's something enchanting about the Bowmann, which combines the sumptuous greatest hits of Parisian design for a winning combo. The building's bones are markedly Belle Epoque and Hausmannian, but the interiors—in off-whites, pale blush pinks, and flashes of red and gold—are a blend of Deco and contemporary elements. It's a feast for the eyes that also provides a comfortable, sensuous space in which to unwind. Where will we find it? The Bowmann occupies a former office building on a quiet yet central street, minutes away from some of Paris' best attractions. Got it. So tell us about the rooms—what can we expect from our accommodations? The rooms are a plush blend of soft colors and textures, mostly blushes and off-whites. And although the building's bones have been well-preserved, the hotel does feature of-the-moment tech updates, including do-not-disturb buttons that can be activated from the bed. Is there a charge for Wi-Fi? The Wi-Fi is free. The surrounding area might be cool, but if we want to stick closer to home, are there any good food and drink options on the hotel grounds? The Bowmann Bar is an elegant space that fills with Parisians after work. The restaurant 99 Haumann, meanwhile, reflects the hotel's design ethos, with a menu that's French at its core but decidedly contemporary. Make sure to try the suckling roast duck with orange and caramelized endives. And the service? With only 53 rooms, the hotel offers supremely personalized attention. Who else do you spot milling about the lobby and the bar? A chic, on-the-pulse, stylish and elegant crowd who love the discreet vibe here. Tell us a little more about the neighborhood—what's it like? The hotel sits on a quiet, tree-lined commercial street just minutes away from the Madeleine Church and the Jardins des Champs-Elysées. Oh, lovely. Dare we ask—is there anything you'd change? Absolutely nothing. Any other hotel features worth noting? If you're willing to splurge on the suite, you will be amply rewarded—it has gorgeous sunset views of the Paris skyline, as well as a private rooftop Jacuzzi. It sounds lovely. So what's the takeaway? Why is the Bowmann worth the price of admission? It's a splurge, sure, but this hotel offers a more intimate experience than its similarly priced brethren." - Todd Plummer

Hôtel Bowmann (Paris, Île-de-France) 8 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Though it’s a newcomer to the Parisian luxury-hotel scene, the Hotel Bowmann has no trouble fitting in: it’s a lively blend of classic Haussmannian architecture, modern furniture design, and contemporary decoration. The location — on Boulevard Haussmann, fittingly — is close to the Parc Monceau, and surrounded by a wealth of art galleries in the north end of the 8th. And the atmosphere, for lack of a better label, is “discreet luxury” — smaller and more intimate than Paris’s officially designated palace hotels, it’s nevertheless a thoroughly high-end experience, with no compromises made in either comfort or service." - Tablet Hotels

We recently stayed for about 10 days. Our experience was excellent. The rooms are spacious by Paris standards and the bathroom was immaculate and well appointed. The black out shades are perfect for recovering from jet lag. We had breakfast most mornings and the food and service were good. There are a number of coffee shops and patisseries nearby that are tasty and economical options. We had dinner in the restaurant once and it was good as well. Our standout meals in Paris however were recommendations from the concierge Gerard. Gerard truly made our experience in Paris unforgettable. He guided us to traditional French restaurants, as well as Italian, Thai and Indian cuisine. All were charming and delicious. Gerard was generous with tips and suggestions and Oztas was a wealth of helpful information regarding timing and transportation. The gym was a bit small but we found a gym nearby where you could pay by the visit as well as a great pilates studio. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

Despite my strong urge to keep the joy of a stay at the Hotel Bowmann a secret to be shared only with close friends and family, doing so would be unfair to this wonderful hotel and its impeccable staff. My family (spouse and young adult children) stayed August 11 - 17, and it was a perfect getaway. We loved the location, which is close to all the Paris attractions you'll want to visit. A highlight of our stay was interacting with Gerald, Hotel Bowmann's concierge extraordinaire, who took amazing care of us. Gerald is a vacation maestro: from scoring hard-to-get dining reservations and skip-the-line museum tickets to planning special golf excursions and finding basketball courts, Gerald made sure our trip was perfect for every family member. Everyone who works at Hotel Bowmann made us feel like it was our home away from home. The rooms are well-appointed and large by Parisian standards. The small cafe at Hotel Bowmann is also fantastic. Room service is also prompt and efficient. My only regret is that we could not stay longer. We shall return!

We recently stayed at Hôtel Bowmann and overall had a lovely experience. The hotel is beautifully designed and delivers a true five-star feel. Our room was luxurious, spotless, and tastefully decorated definitely a 5/5 for room quality and cleanliness.||The location is a highlight if you’re in Paris to shop. It’s centrally located and just a short 5-minute walk to the Champs-Élysées and Galeries Lafayette.|That said, there are a couple of drawbacks to note. The rooms are open-concept with no dividing walls, so families may find the lack of privacy inconvenient. Also, accessibility could be an issue my daughter had recently undergone surgery, and we were unable to obtain a wheelchair from the hotel. For guests with mobility challenges, this may present some difficulties.||Service was fine polite front desk, there’s a fellow by the restaurant and the concierge was also so attentive to our 4 year old while we waited for our uber ride. The lobby always had snacks and refreshments. I’d give service a 5/5.||All in all, Hôtel Bowmann is perfect for couples seeking a chic, five-star experience in a great shopping location. If you’re looking for luxury without a sky-high price tag, this is a great pick. Just be mindful if you’re traveling with family or require accessibility accommodations.

Exceptional stay! We stayed as a family for a week in April and had an absolutely fantastic time. The service was remarkable and personal with particularly amazing care provided by Zeeshan at breakfast who knew our orders by heart and tended to our every need as well as Damin at the front desk who greeted us kindly every day. The breakfast is the best we've had at any high end hotel with fantastic coffee drinks, an outstanding buffet, and the best omelettes I've ever tasted. The rooms were beautiful and very comfortable. Housekeeping visited twice a day and did a wonderful job of keeping our rooms beautiful. The pool was an amazing respite from exploring the city. We will absolutely stay here on every future visit to Paris.

Overall my wife and I had a wonderful experience at Hotel Bowmann Paris. Thorgan at the front desk, along with the rest of the staff were pleasant and knowledgeable, always eager to assist. The concierge gave excellent restaurant recommendations; he is a consummate professional. Dinner at the hotels restaurant was delicious. We unknowingly arrived at the restaurant before opening time and they made special accommodations for us! The unlimited supply of homemade butter cookies and nougat in the lobby were dangerously addictive! The room was well furnished and equipped. One small complaint-the website features a rooftop sitting area with views of the Eiffel Tower which we were looking forward to enjoying for the view and a glass of champagne. Come to find out its actually part of the penthouse suite and off limits to guests.

Hotel Bowmann is a perfect place for a Parisian-infused, quiet but luxurious stay. Our pink room with gold-adorned detailing and a balcony overlooking Bowmann street was stunning and impressive. The amenities - pool, hot tub, and sauna, were nice to use after a day full of walking in Paris. I highly recommend Hotel Bowmann!

We had a splendid few days away in Paris and stayed at The Hotel Bowmann. Stunning hotel with lovely rooms and warm staff. Gèrald from concierge was exceptional, going beyond what I call 5 star service! Blow London away! I couldn't recommend this hotel highly enough! We will be back for an annual stay moving forwards.

My Experience at the Hotel: First of all, I would like to thank the hotel staff for their warm hospitality. The building is relatively small, but it has beautiful details that you might not even find in some five-star hotels. One standout feature is the ability to control all the room lights and curtains directly from the bed, which adds great convenience. The toilet seat was extremely comfortable and equipped with water spray and heating functions — a rare feature in many hotels. Service was impressively fast; whatever you need, they respond quickly as soon as you call. One thing I noticed is that the hotel pays a lot of attention to the smart panel outside the rooms. When you activate the “Do Not Disturb” sign, no one will knock on your door. However, if it’s not activated, housekeeping might enter — so make sure to use the sign when needed. One final note: the security deposit is quite high (500 euros), so it’s better to pay it in cash in order to get it back easily upon checkout. Thank you!
