Great location, right in the old centre of Goslar. The entrance to the hotel is on the side of the church, not the big black door which used to be the entrance to the building, probably from earlier times. When we arrived the front door of the hotel was locked, and through the window we could see that there was no one at reception. On the sign just left of the door however, it was stated that check-in could be done at another hotel reception, about 200m down the road. This was really no problem for us, but something to keep in mind when you have a lot of luggage.
The lift is quite small, with a heavy door. Again, we had very little luggage, so this was no problem for us. The room was clean, and neat, so was the bathroom. The only downside was probably squeaky floorboards, and the big bell of the church ringing in the morning.... but that is something you have to accept, and learn to love when you want to stay in an old building in an old city centre :)
The staff was friendly and helpful, and I can happily recommend this hotel to other people.
There is parking available behind the hotel (I understood it has to be reserved, and there is a fee), but we made use of the public parking lots in town. Parking was free on Saturdays after 18:00 and Sundays.
