Hotel Calimala Florence

Spent a week in this hotel and loved every second of it. The rooms are so spacious and beautifully designed, the artistic side is very present throughout the entire hotel. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Perfectly located and the rooftop bar is a must. Breakfast was very diverse and tasty. Highly recommended.

For those of you interested in the conclusion, here it is: This is by FAR the best hotel experience I have had in all of Europe. Now, let's talk about why. (i) The hotel is immaculate; it is beautifully designed and super clean. (ii) It is centrally located; this is close to all the major attractions. (iii) But you want to know the TOP reason: the staff! The staff is amazing. The entire staff is dedicated to make you have the best time. From the discounts you get in food and drinks in this and sister hotel, to reception. From the moment you get in they are excited to have you and it shows. My man Bruno, the mixologist, is the best. Make sure to get some cocktails with him. Do not think about it, and book this. I would come back to Florence just for stay here again.

We stayed at Calimala West for 3 nights and absolutely loved it. The hotel is fantastic — and the location is unbeatable, right in the heart of everything, just a 3-minute walk from Piazza della Repubblica. The rooms are spacious, modern, and spotless, with great touches like an espresso machine and complimentary water. A complimentary 2 glasses of Prosecco at the bar. There’s also a small but well-equipped gym, and a very popular bar and restaurant (though we didn’t get a chance to try the breakfast). A special shoutout to Tiziano at the reception — thank you for being so kind and helpful throughout our stay! Highly recommended. We’d be happy to return!

Wow. The Calimala is a moderate-priced hotel that is a true value. The deluxe room and bathroom had a balcony that overlooked the heart of Florence. A noticed plus: the mini bar had reasonably priced options so we were able to enjoy a negroni on our balcony! Absolutely accommodating staff--ask for their dinner recs!

Great stay. The room was terrific, and the staff was the best. Used to stay here when it was the old Pierre, and the upgrade is appreciated. I had a balcony room and loved it. Great view...could sit out here all day. Had dinner at the rooftop restaurant, and it did not disappoint.

We had a very comfortable stay here while in Florence for a night. The rooms were beautiful & very clean. We had a great room with a balcony & view! The staff was very friendly & helpful during our stay. The location was excellent, its walking distance from many major attractions. I would stay again if ever in the area in the future!

The Calimala is so well located in Florence, allowing quick access to the beauty of the city, the history and the culture. From our arrival to our departure the staff was simply marvelous, assisting in any way you required. Our room overlooked the market area and at night the vendors moved out their wares and there was street entertainment which we could see and hear from our window; one night Spanish guitar, one night a small ensemble, and another night an opera singer, all most accomplished. The breakfast was excellent, the roof top dining and bar was stunning. If you wish to be in the center of Florence and enjoy a first class experience, Hotel Calimala is an amazing property.

We loved our stay at hotel Calimala! From the moment we walked in the door the staff were very kind and inviting! They upgraded our room without us even asking which was so nice considering how much luggage we had with us! We loved the room and hotel amenities! The rooftop bar was also beautiful!!
