Rolin

"Elegant ambience, friendly service, tasty and ambitious international, classic and seasonal cuisine – on the menu e. g. fillet of North Sea cod with a horseradish, honey and rosemary crust. Incidentally, "Rolin" is the name of a ship's captain. Hotel Cap Polonio has well-kept rooms for overnight stays." - Michelin Inspector

Review of the restaurant: At first i thought to myself the prices are exaggerated, but when i tasted the salmon dish i was speechless, A flood of aromas and tastes in the mouth that i haven't felt for a long time. It was one of the best dishes i had in my life. One downside, the dish was microwaved.

Went to the restaurant. The service was great, the waiter was friendly and helpful. The 4-course duck menu for 2 people was absolutely delicious. I had the 4-course "Surprise Menu". You tell the waiter what you don't eat and what you like and the chef puts together a selection of dishes for you, some already on the menu and some slight twists. It was one of the most delicious and memorable meals I have had. I could not have chosen better for myself! An experience not to know what your next dish is. Lovely decor in the restaurant. Thoroughly recommend.

Very comfortable, clean room. The staff super friendly and generous. The best part of our stay was dinner. The best Wiener-Schnitzel ever!!! We will for sure go back here :-)

I have stayed in this hotel for a second time for couple of days on my business trip. The hotel small, cosy and quiet. All the staff is very pleasant and helpful. The room and all the hotel premises were kept extremely clean and tidy. Room cleaning was perfect. Good and rich breakfast. There is nice and cosy restaurant but I cannot comment on this as we were always eating out but it was looking nice, worth to try. The hotel is a very good value for the money paid and I can recommend this for short business stays as well as for couples on a private vacation. Easy access for exploring Hamburg (some 20 minutes by a taxi or a car). I give the hotel five of five not that the hotel is 5 star, it is that you get exactly what is advertised for a fair price!

This hotel is located in walking distance to the pedestrian area of Pinneberg. It offers comfortable rooms to the traveler, and the dining area exudes a comfortable ambience. I understand that the restaurant is one of the best in this area. I cannot comment on that, but the breakfast was good-pretty well the German style.Whoever cannot live without bacon and scrambled eggs will find this food choice here as well. ( Usually this is not a feature of a German breakfast.)The location is quiet, and the staff is friendly, professional and English-spoken. Excellent for a home base to explore the area!

An establishment far removed from the Premier/Travel Lodge model. All Staff were friendly and efficient, the room comfortable, clean and well equipped. The breakfast buffet well stocked with many choices. A ten minute stroll through a pleasant wood leads to the station with a very frequent service to central Hamburg . An excellent base for visiting Hamburg.

I've stayed there after a very long flight from Australia. I had a good sleep and a wonderful dinner in the restaurant. The atmosphere of a first class ship dining room is great and the food was excellent. Service was very friendly and courteous. The rooms are very small it well appointed. No air condition which makes it a bit hot in summer. Breakfast was great and I definitely will stay Rene again should my travels bring me to Hamburg.

This is a nice old German Hotel, with good staff and a very good restaurant. The rooms are good, not luxurious but not bad. There is no fridge in the room, which is a pity. The bathrooms are small but functional, and the shower is good. There is a nice big park out the back for a walk in summer. The beds are German style; 2 small single beds pushed together with 2 single duvet covers. Not to my liking but that is the local way.
