Hotel Capellan de Getsemani

We absolutely loved the Capellan. It's very well located in the heart of Getsemani. Staff is 100, absolutely helpfully, attentive, treated us with extreme care. Restaurant was a big plus, with chef quality food, beautiful and delicious plates. |The room was large and comfortable, one of the best showers we've ever used. Beds were super comfortable, good streaming options on the TV.|Concierge service was really helpful and we regretted not relying more on it. |Perfect experience, will definitely stay again every time we're back in cartagena

We had a great experience at the Hotel Capellan de Getsemani—the staff was lovely, and the pool was very serene. We spent most of our days at the pool, and at this time of year, we were usually the only ones there. During our stay, the staff was amazing and catered to our every need. Despite our limited Spanish, they were polite and friendly all week.||We got one of the jacuzzi rooms, and as mentioned in other reviews, it was very loud (it faces an open-air club across the street). The staff kindly offered to switch us, but we liked being on the top floor near the pool, so we stayed put. It was loud every night, but we had white noise and earplugs, so we made it work. If I were to book again, I'd go for a suite on the second floor instead. ||The room itself was lovely, and the daily cleaning was excellent. We went through a lot of towels, so it was a relief to always have a new stack waiting for us!||I booked a 90-minute massage in the outdoor spa area—I would definitely recommend that. Nichole was amazing, and at about $100 USD, I wish I'd gotten one every day. The area is covered, and a huge rainstorm was the perfect sound bath during my treatment. ||The hotel's location is its real selling point, and I would 10/10 recommend it and stay here again!

We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Capellan! Our room was beautiful and had all the comforts you’d expect from a top-tier hotel. The service was exceptional, every staff member we interacted with was friendly, attentive, and professional. We also really enjoyed the food at the restaurant; everything was fresh and delicious! Our favorite part of the hotel was definitely the rooftop pool and rooftop seating area to watch the sunset.

Amazing hotel! Has a lemony scent throughout the hotel which is nice - stayed in Suite which is spacious. Had some mosquitos from the humidity but they sprayed the room down with some bug spray on request which helped. included breakfast is delicious with eggs, fruit plate, and bread basket. ||Great bathroom products such as for shampoos and body wash. ||Staff was incredibly nice, and helpful. Always available if needed. Definitely would return again. ||Area is quiet at night, maybe some noise from passerby but not a problem for me.||Did a massage at the Spa, affordable and amazing experience on the outdoor shaded terrace and relaxing. ||Good wall AC in the room - keeping room perfect for the hot weather.||Everyone was attentive to your needs!

The hotel was amazing! Great location, only like a 5 minute walk from the Walled City. Beautiful room, very clean. I stayed in the suite. The only suggestion is for the bed to be moved farther from the wall to expose the wall outlets. I was searching for a place to charge my phone and watch for a moment. Great service and very hospitable people. Augusto was very knowledgeable and helpful with restaurant reservations, as well as tour reservations. Waitresses at the restaurant were very kind. I’d definitely stay here again.

Wonderful oasis in the middle of busy Getsemani area. Very nice ambiance rooms were very spacious and the bathrooms nicely designed overall. Though wish there were more hooks to hang things. I would recommend to couples or families looking for a quiet and peaceful stay. Customer service was amazing. Very accommodating.

The hotel was beautiful. The green plants and trees made the hotel feel like paradise. The staff were very professional and friendly. Special thanks to Karen, Naren, Lis, and Isaac. They made the stay more enjoyable. Breakfast was exceptionally good. The room was very comfortable and the amenities were excellent. The pool area was very nice.

I think Hotel de Capellan is a hidden gem! Perfect location in Getsemani for dining, sightseeing and nightlife.||The hotel has a very e rooftop are that was not busy during our stay. Loved having that place to relax and enjoy some down time.||Staff is amazing and the hotel is in pristine condition. Loved our room, it was a suite upgrade due to being a Preferred Hotels member. Excellent amenities that included breakfast each day.||Lovely hotel and great food too. One suggestion...latte and cappuccino were not hot. The room service was excellent but coffee was cold again. This is an easy fix, I suggest small carafes for the coffee service. Keeps coffee hot and customers happy.||I highly recommend this hotel.
