The Best MICHELIN Guide Hotels in Seoul

"Here’s a Gangnam pied-à-terre for the Williamsburg set. At 18 gleaming stories, Hotel Cappuccino artfully balances right on the line between hostel and condo, borrowing the former’s drop-in flexibility with the latter’s unsurpassed upscale convenience. The lobby’s a handy microcosm for the design sensibilities at work here: massive floor-to-ceiling windows illuminate a bricolage of reclaimed materials — polished wood, valises, cements." - The MICHELIN Guide

Breakfast is good value by western standards. An improvement on the freshness of the bread would be my one suggestion. Staff were accommodating of my request to borrow an adapter. Room clean was prompt. My room disappointment was two fold; while the sink had hot water the shower did not ( and for a 2 night stay ). The thread count on the sheets could also be improved. Not soft.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The rooms were stylish and unique, with a cool design that made the stay more interesting. The location in Gangnam-gu was perfect—close to shops, cafes, and public transport, so getting around was easy. I tried the cafe on the first floor once, and the food was tasty—no complaints. The reception staff were also very friendly and helpful, which made check-in and the overall experience smooth. A great choice for anyone visiting the area—I’d definitely stay here again.

Can't say anything about the rooms as we only came here to meet and have drinks on the rooftop. The location is convenient with restaurants, shops and public transportation nearby. The view from the rooftop was amazing!

I stayed in this hotel for 10 nights and really enjoyed it. I booked a room with two beds for two people, and it was perfect. I agree with other posters that the "king" room is probably best for one person (unless you are just staying a night or two), and the two doubles best for no more than two people. The hotel and cafe on the first floor are unique and are accurately depicted in the photos. The cafe made amazing iced lattes and lemonade. I found the beds very comfortable and I didn't mind that they are placed on a platform on the floor, but if you have mobility issues this may not be the best option for you as there is a step up to the beds. All of the lobby and housekeeping staff were great. I was less impressed with the restaurant staff. We were turned away at 8pm for dinner, even though the sign outside the door said 9 pm was last seating. I was disappointed that the rooftop view required a bottle purchase to visit, as I don't drink. This hotel is not as close to "all the things" as other hotels, but I appreciated the quiet at night. The only noise we heard was from people returning to their rooms on Saturday night. Otherwise it was very quiet. There is no parking lot or pullover in front, so cabs were a little annoyed by the pickup and dropoff location, but I didn't mind. There are two subway lines nearby. YOu can walk to several restaurants and convenience stores and Olive Young within 5 minutes, and a bit farther to shopping in Gangnam. I felt very safe walking at night. I would stay again.

Great value for a hotel in a convenient location. I stayed in a single room alone then a triple room with two friends, and I’d recommend staying solo or as a pair as the rooms are quite small. That being said, the rooms were clean and staff were all very nice. Definitely will book again when I travel to Seoul!

Hotel Cappucino was very disappointing. The rooms are tired and walls very scratched. The lighting is terrible. We stayed in ate in room and had to get sensor deactivated as when you move in bed at night it activates the main light! There is also strip lighting throughout the room so at night the room is never dark. We had to go and buy strong eye masks to sleep with. We tried to order room service after a very long hot day and over 25k steps walked! Was told that menu not available and to order outside food delivery. Went to restaurant and they could cook the food for room service and deliver it! This hotel would have been good 10 years ago but has faded. Positives CoffeeNine across the road is excellent for coffee(has no food) Cheap room rate Cons - no good food in walking distance and hotel team are not good with making recommendations. Rooms are tired Beds are on the floor No ice machines Laundry has only one washer and one dryer and is always busy Hotel says it is eco-friendly but delivers plastic water bottles and new towels every day even if you leave towels hanging on hooks and don’t use the water bottles

Overall, very professional, kind and friendly staffs with exceptional services. Attentive to minute details that made the stay very enjoyable, and flexible in resolving issues. On our first night, we had an unfortunate incident in the room but the staffs were very understanding, and quick to find a resolution that worked out for all of us. We were very happy with their room service and also their dry cleaning, laundry service as well. Despite of a busy trip with work mixed in with sight seeings, Hotel Cappucino Team definitely made it so that everyone had an enjoyable time. The team is multilingual and their communciation is clear. Also, I was pleasantly suprised by how good their beverages and coffee are at the Main Floor Coffee Bar. The seatings are very comfy.

The room we had for 4 people was small. Couldn't barely walk around the bed and the bed is very low without the frame. Front desk service made up for our stay.
