Hotel Casa 1800 Seville

We really enjoyed Hotel Casa 1800. We also thoroughly enjoyed Sevilla. The hotel was about two blocks from the two most important sites in the city: Alcazar and the Cathedral. We could not have found a better location. The streets around it were a maze of interesting shops and small restaurants. It's quite a challenge to drive there although all but one of our drivers managed fine. ||The hotel itself was built in the early 1800's and it reflects that: Huge doors open to the lobby and each floor circle and look down on an open central area that in the dining area with its big chandelier. The top floors have a fabulous view of the Cathedral and many other history churches and buildings (Alcazar is hidden behind tall stone walls).||The room was small but very comfortable. The bathroom was more spacious than most. The room was very quiet, which we would expect in a neighborhood that is so hard to drive in! The breakfast was a bit pricy but excellent, with a large variety of foods, both Spanish and more international. The room even came with a bottle of sparking wine! The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable

Absolutely perfect and beautiful! Wonderful staff, fantastic coffee bar, delicious tea time, and best of all…the location! Fantastic and you really feel like you’re in a different world when in old town Seville. If coming in your own car like we did, park in the Roma overnight parking lot. Do not put the address to the hotel into your gps…you will be brought down roads we couldn’t believe cars went down. Also, the hotel doesn’t have parking so just arrange all that before you start driving into town. Again, 10/10…loved staying here:)

The hotel is a very nice and well maintained facility. The staff are well trained in assisting guests and super helpful. The check in and check out process was painless, although the front desk also assists guests in making tour bookings, so sometimes you have to wait a bit. They offered storage of our bags at check out. The breakfast buffet has a nice selection with fresh cooked eggs and bacon, fresh cut fruits and avacado and a nice selection of fresh breads. Coffee is made with a pod style machine and offered whole and skim milk. We were pleased with selection and quality of the breakfast. We booked a premier room with balcony and it was very nice but not super spacious. The bathroom was functional including a deep tub and great water pressure with instant hot water. The bed was a little soft for our preference but the room was almost silent, amazing considering the location in the heart of the walking district. The location is 2 Minutes from the cathedral and surrounded by high quality restaurants. We have stayed here multiple times, we live about 1.5 hours from Seville. Compliments to the staff for another great stay!

We really enjoyed our stay at Casa 1800 in Sevilla. The hotel is beautiful with very nice and comfortable rooms and is in a great location very close to the cathedral and in the center of the old town of Sevilla. They offer a very nice breakfast every morning and a tea with snacks in the afternoon. Very helpful service as well. We loved our stay in Sevilla and hope to come back!

We had an excellent three night stay at this beautiful boutique hotel located right in the heart of Seville, within a few minutes of the major attractions. The hotel, in a lovely old building, is beautifully decorated in a traditional style, and is also well-maintained. The service of all the staff was excellent - nothing was too much trouble to arrange. Coffee, cereal and gluten-free biscuits are available all day and the hotel offers a free afternoon tea service. What more could one want? Highly recommended.

Location of the hotel is perfect; steps away from Seville Cathedral, and Alcazar palace. The atmosphere around the area is lively, filled with tourists and locals. |The rooms are in need of an upgrade! The curtains hang shabbily, the bedspread can be better. The bathroom however is lavishly large, including a shower and bath both, a toilet and bidet, and two basins. |Value for money due to its proximity to tourist attractions. |Breakfast is basic but good. Fruit, cold cuts, eggs made to order, coffee. |No restaurant on site though. On rainy days, one has to depend on an expensive food delivery from a nearby cafe, linked to the hotel.

We loved our stay here. The location is ideal. And, while the street just outside the hotel is teeming with people day and night, our room was quiet and very comfortable. The staff here was so friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet is fresh, creative and delicious. And the roof - wonderful! We would have loved a small dresser or a few more drawers in the room, but overall, it was great and very roomy with great, big windows that opened. Easy walk to many sites, bars and restaurants.

This hotel is centrally located in sevilla right next a legendary tapas bar. Seriously, it was packed every day with locals and tourists, and has a very authentic atmosphere. Staff was very friendly and professional, breakfast had solid choices but there are plenty of places to eat near the hotel as well. We had an issue with a leak in our room but staff was quick to help clean the room and make it right with us. Our walls were kind of thin so we'd hear noises in the early morning as other guests were getting up and leaving/staff starting the breakfast. I would consider staying here again, the hotel was charming and the location is hard to beat. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

I can't say ENOUGH about this place! Give me 20 stars to vote on! LOCATION. A stone throw from La Giralda, which you can admire from their charming roof top, any time day or night (particularly stunning at night). In the heart of Sta Cruz, you step out of the quiet of the hotel into the buzz of the city. We had a Jr. Suite, giving us plenty of luxurious space, a stunning marble floor and bathroom, exposed beams and many lovely amenities, bathrobe and slippers and all. Wonderful sleep quality, comfortable and comforting. The entire boutique hotel is IMMACULATE. I CANT sing enough the praises of the staff, particularly the cleaning staff. Carmen keeps the galley kitchen ready for the right snacks at the right time. The breakfast is plenty and delicious, mimosas and all. Coffee 24-7. High Tea. Sweet elegance. Front desk staff rivals any higher end hotel anywhere in professionalism, take care of your every need but with a down to earth and soulful touch. This little piece of quiet heaven will linger in our hearts long after vacation has ended.

Our stay at Hotel Casa 1800 was absolutely perfect! We could not have booked a more picturesque boutique hotel with a better location in Sevilla. My only regret was that we only stayed one night! Hotel Casa 1800 is a historic mansion that has been converted into a luxury boutique hotel. The hotel oozes personality from the moment you step foot in the lobby. Our hotel room was beautifully decorated and every amenity we could imagine was provided for us including robes, slippers, and complete toiletry sets that included combs, tooth brushes and razors. The hotel leaves no detail overlooked. We requested a second bed in our room and the hotel made sure they provided three sets of everything for us. Breakfast and afternoon tea are served in the interior patio/sun room. I highly recommend taking advantage of both of these services. Even my husband enjoyed the complimentary afternoon tea (served between 4:30-6:30pm). Guests are invited to help themselves to Nespresso coffee, tea, water, and a variety of sandwiches, pastries, and snacks. Breakfast was a small charge of $11 or $12 per person and included an unlimited buffet of yoghurt, fruit, eggs, cheeses, ham, bread and pastries. The hotel is conveniently located in the Santa Cruz neighborhood near the the Cathedral and the Giralda Tower. Do not pass up on the panoramic rooftop terrace views! We were able to walk everywhere by foot and had easy access to multiple restaurants, bars and tourist sights. I would absolutely stay at Hotel Casa 1800 again next time we visit Sevilla, but next time I will book our stay for a much longer visit!

You won't want to come back home. I will preface this review by saying I had a grand plan for our trip to Spain, and the Seville portion of the trip was supposed to be the portion that was luxurious, relaxing and romantic. Thus, we forked over way more money than we should, for a really great experience. This hotel does a lot right. We stayed in the junior suite with jacuzzi on a patio, and it was perfect for cool November days and nights. Even the crazy 1800s looking sofa in the living room (yes, we had a living room - with a chandelier) was actually comfortable. The bed was amazingly comfortable, the room was dark and quiet. The bathroom was perfection and they gave all the extra amenities (razor, toothpaste, etc) you could want. Our patio was covered, so we could still hot tub in the rain, and there were outlets everywhere you could want. The front desk staff was a bit of a mixed bag; the females were not very friendly or helpful, but the dude at the front desk with the eyelashes (if you know, you know) was great. The cleaning staff was the only downside to this whole trip, and they really need to step up their game. My first shower I noticed a bunch of long (I will attach a pic) hairs on the shower wall (girls - you know you do it too!). This meant that the shower hadn't been properly cleaned because the last guests and us. We told the front desk right away but they didn't offer any apology or solution, just that they'd tell the cleaning staff. I would expect when the cleaning staff would clean the room the next time they'd leave a chocolate or a bottle of wine to apologize, but not only did they not do that - THEY STILL DIDN'T CLEAN THE HAIRS. I took another pic, for time stamp purposes, to show the hairs still there. That's just crazy. We only asked for a cleaning one day (we don't get the room cleaned every day), and we left at 900 am and put the sign to "please clean the room". We came back at 145 pm to a dirty room still. I feel like that's a sufficient time away for a clean room, and rooms should be cleaned before siesta. We were told they'd only clean it until 4 pm, so the long relaxing mid day break for us became rushed when we had given them plenty of time to clean it.

We've stayed here twice now and love it. It's actually one of the reasons we wanted to come back to Sevilla just to stay and relax after we already did all the touristy stuff last time. The hotel is just lovely. This beautifully restored historic hotel with great amenities and spaces. Our room was very spacious and more than comfortable. The bathroom had spacious countertops and two sinks. The whole place feels palatial. Since we just stayed there a little over a year ago, they left us a bottle of champagne as a welcome, which was so sweet. They also dropped little 'gifts' each night, which just adds to the fun. The rooftop view is spectacular, and this time, we actually used the pool--beware, even if it's in the 90s outside, that water is cold! Luckily, because it's a small, boutique hotel, the roof deck is never crawling with people. It's a romantic, fun spot, close to everything in the old town, near lots of restaurants, the cathedral, the Alcazar and just little winding streets and alleys where you want to get lost and take pictures. Breakfast is really nice, and they also put out late afternoon snacks. We just love this place and will go here again next time we are in Sevilla. After two trips within less than two years, it feels a little like a home away from home. Love it.

Doesn't Get Better! The Hotel Casa 1800 in Seville is the perfect place to stay for a visit to this wonderful city. We also stayed at the sister hotel in Granada which was excellent as well but we found this property to be even better in terms of roominess and location. Fantastic breakfast buffet daily. Just steps from the Cathedral and superb restaurants close by. Received good restaurant recommendations from the staff. Great rooftop terrace with pool and hot tub. Wouldn't think of staying anywhere else in Seville.

Really lovely spot to stay, in a perfect location in old Seville. It's in an old house, with a center courtyard (indoor, with newer skylight), with a very local flavor. The room was nicely sized; clean and well appointed. Breakfast wasn't included in my deal, but I bought it each morning, and it was outstanding - a good value too. (Note: if you ever taste the local fresh squeezed orange juice, it will make every other orange juice pale by comparison). The staff are very warm, and you can tell the place is quite professionally run - everything is spotless, and the staff even tip-toe and whisper early in the morning as they get breakfast ready! I highly recommend it.

I feel like I am living an Ian Fleming novel here - the amenities are great and the staff super friendly plus the afternoon tea is well stocked with snacks and drinks to pass the time. All around a wonderful experience right in the heart of the historical district, nothing is more than a 5 minute walk away. The rooms are not large but are comfortable. No complaints.

Fantastic location with higher end rooms. The icing on the cake is the great staff. Oh and the afternoon snack they offer is pretty good too! Literally stone throws away from the cathedral (you can hear the bells at night).

This is an outstanding hotel. The service and treatment are 5 star. The hotel is perfectly located too across from the cathedral and near everything. The roof top area is gorgeous and the pool was a perfect retreat from the warm days. We loved it so much we stayed an extra night. The hotel staff were superb, genuinely nice and very accommodating. The rooms were spacious and comfortable with high end amenities. Breakfast is included and was also very good. Free Nespresso and excellent tea selection available 24 hours a day. We will stay here again when we return to Seville.

HOTEL SEEKER BEWARE! The rooms represented on the website are FAR NICER than what you get, unless you were to book the Deluxe for 320+ Euro. You'll also not find professionalism at this place. I booked five nights in one of their "Superior" rooms nearly six months in advance expecting a comfortable, spacious, and friendly-staffed experience after a long month of travel through Europe by train, plain, and auto. I selected this hotel specifically because I wanted to end my trip at a luxurious, peaceful location, which it presents itself to be. 1) Upon check-in, the staff proved un-knowledgeable and aloof. It felt like some college kid was running the place. But, I'm easy going so at this point I didn't really care. 2) The room was a total shoe box! I live in a studio, travel a lot, and am used to small places. I thought my 18 sq meter Paris room was small- this was a joke! There was enough room for the bed and 2 suitcases, nothing more. The "terrace" was more like a bomb shelter, surrounded by concrete on four sides with no view and depressing to attempt to enjoy. There was negligible table-top space anywhere, nowhere to even set a drink once I had unpacked my small backpack, and no where to hang a wet towel! Oh, and no bathroom door either!? - a bit awkward if traveling with your girlfriend. Again, easy going as I am, I decided to laugh about it all and move on to exploring this beautiful town. 3) The WiFi was slower than dial-up and sometimes didn't even have a signal. The signal was so weak I had to sit in a certain corner of the room or the lobby to get access. And even then, it took minutes to load a single web page or check my mail. If WiFi is advertised as something they offer, it should be functional. 4) Noise from the lobby: The rooms are situated off the central lobby area where visitors check in, eat, convene, etc. I was woken up at 7:30am the morning after a late arrival whilst jet-lagged to people chatting outside my door. You'd think if the hotel is constructed to have rooms off the lobby, they'd do a bit more work on sound comfort, but not here. I could hear every word spoken outside my door, along with clinking, bumping, etc... I cannot get back to sleep with the noise, so I get up to grab a cup of coffee... 5) Outside the room is a beverage area I was told was complimentary and pour a cup of coffee. Just then, the girl from the front desk approaches saying the coffee costs 2.50 euro per cup. WHAT!? Are you kidding me?? The loud "luxury hotel" with unprofessional staff and dorm rooms is now going to nickel-and-dime me for a 25 cent cup of coffee!? This cannot be. So I explained to her I expected it was complimentary as it is in every other hotel I've stayed in the world where you pay a premium to sleep. She explains it is only free after 4pm. She insists I fill out a room service form for the 2.50 euro. Really?? 6) By this point I feel the opposite of relaxed, peaceful, and taken care of. This place was a joke. So I approach the front desk about getting a nicer room or just leaving altogether. They offer a nicer room, but at the full rate which didn't feel like an offer at all. I explain the situation and why I am not happy but they refused to upgrade me for what I had already paid for my FIVE night reservation. The obvious conclusion was to move to something nicer, so I cancelled my remaining nights after they refused to make my stay what was represented on their website and brochure, which I was holding and showing them during the conversation. 7) The cancellation policy: Because I didn't cancel 48 hours in advance, they insisted on charging me for 2 additional nights, one of which I could not stay there, they explained. Why would i have cancelled before I arrived? That would make no sense. I would only wish to cancel after experiencing what a joke this hotel is. I explained that wasn't fair but of course they didn't care. So for 164 euro in their pocket, they also get this honest and detailed review. The bottom line- unless you are going to rent their top notch rooms, AVOID. And even if you do, prepare to be treated like a child and nickel-and-dimed for coffee and water.

Beautiful hotel. Rooms are charming and fun. Rooftop pool with outstanding views of the city. Central location, friendly and convenient. We traveled with a 6 year old so they had a twin size bed in the room ready when we go there. We would stay there again! Perfect!!

My favorite hotel in Andalusia. Modern and luxurious rooms with touches of character- exposed ceiling beams and hardwood floors. Beautiful artwork lines the hallways. The service is excellent, and the staff is fluent in English. It offers free afternoon tea (tea, coffee, yogurt, fruit, cereal), which is the perfect complement to an afternoon nap. Wifi, as was common throughout Andalusia on our trip, is spotty. Doesn't work in the rooms, and the lobby only offered 0.69 Mbps downloads when I was there. Pales in comparison to Vodafone's 4G service (through the local sim card I purchased) which can exceed 30 Mbps in certain portions of the city (though it's often not quite that fast). Other quirks exist, but can be forgiven due to the charm of the hotel and of Andalusia in general. Our proximity-sensor room card ceased to function on the second day of our visit, so we were given a physical key to open our door, which we had to drop off and pick up when we entered and existed the hotel. Apparently the card maker was broken, and nobody (including us) was too concerned about it. Another time, the front door (which opens automatically via sensor) wasn't working for a few minutes, so a couple of guests were stuck inside, and a couple were stuck outside. Again, nobody seemed to mind too much (including me, as I left via a side exit). Location is excellent. Easy walk to most of the tourist sights. ~2 blocks to the Cathedral.

My wife, daughter, and I planned a trip to Amsterdam, Madrid, and Seville months ago. We made a reservation at the Hotel Casa 1800 Sevilla on March 23, 2017 and planned to arrive on May 5, 2017 and depart on May 10th. We paid in full for 2 rooms and the charge was high because part of that time was during "an Extra Season." Unfortunately our young daughter became very sick prior to our departure and we were forced to cancel our entire trip. We notified Hotel Casa 1800 on April 23, 2017, two weeks prior to our arrival, that we would not be able to travel due to our daughter's illness, and we provided a physician's note to document that our daughter was too ill to travel. The hotel management initially told us that we would have to forfeit our entire deposit, but after exhorting them to be understanding of our plight, they agreed to refund only our daughter's portion of the deposit, stating that we, the parents, could travel. We responded that our daughter is young and that we would not be able to travel to Spain while leaving her ill in bed. Furthermore, when we inquired about the hotel's vacancies, we learned that the hotel was fully booked during the time that we were to be there. Therefore, the hotel is, in essence, double billing for the room. I again pleaded with the management of the hotel, but to no avail. Basically their attitude was "Too bad. We have your money and you have no options." This action on the part of the hotel speaks volumes about the hotel, its values, its ethical concerns, and its greed. Beware!!

Hotel Casa 1800--A centrally located beautiful boutique hotel, walking distance to almost everything, we got a room with a private balcony on their uppermost floor with a sweeping view of the Seville Cathedral, felt close enough to reach out and touch--lights up at night, a glittering and incandescent magical feel, breathtaking and surreal, and no matter I went out there to gaze at it five nights in a row, it never got old, retained the charm and enchanting allure. As if the view alone wasn't enough, get this, we had a hot tub jacuzzi almost in front of the cathedral, a private oasis on our deck. Next to it, was a fully stocked refrigerator, with gratis drinks, day and night. A swimming pool and benches outside our room along with a fully closed gate and retractable awning for privacy. Downstairs adjacent to the lobby is a gorgeous, decadent grand space with cathedral ceilings and crystal chandeliers dripping with little bulbs, marble appointed everywhere, and there's yet another room off to the other side for a quieter, smaller venue for both tea time and breakfast. They had a 24 hour tea/coffee station, which churned out amazing beverages. I wasn't crazy about their Nespresso machine, but this is what they had to do to make it customer friendly, so everyone could operate it ... it's not as if they were gonna have a professional grade barista machine, so k-cups was the only way to go. Everything felt very personalized, and this is such a small thing I almost hesitate to mention it, but in their lobby every day, they'd make a pitcher of lemon lime water with zero sugar, super fresh and tangy citrusy, such a small gesture, but it became a highlight. A full breakfast and tea time included every imaginable tapas, tea, coffee, pastries and the like. The buffet included not only the usual suspects such as yogurts and cereals, cheeses and cold cuts, freshly baked breads, but also hot stuff like eggs and sausages, potatoes, etc. Amenities include the usual plus an anniversary "gift" with champagne and gelees. A daily free newspaper of our choice delivered every morning to our room ... I feel like a total spoiled diva for bringing this up, and feel free to slap me over cyberspace, but I have one huge complaint and it's a biggie: though they had 5 pillows on the bed, they each felt identical or very similar: lofty, thick, hard, and dense. Oddly, though they had some softness at the core, they were waaay too firm for me. Though I experimented, I had a tough time sleeping on them and asked for their thinnest option, they couldn't find one. Ultimately I slept with zero pillow because I was waking up with a crick in my neck every morning. I tried fashioning a pillow out of a towel and then with a tee shirt ... it would've been funny if we were only spending one night, but five nights was a literal pain in the neck. I'm sorry to be such a diva, but how about a "pillow menu," which we had at our other two hotels, or at least multiple pillows with different densities? This would've gone a very long way with me. Despite the glowing accolades, I'm giving it 4 stars for two reasons: the pillow situation and also upon check out, because our plane was leaving in the early afternoon, we asked for a late check-out, which we've readily gotten in other places (especially if they were luxury or boutique hotels), but here, they said we could leave our luggage there but would have to check-out at the designated time. Very poor customer service this is, and soured our experience. A very small gracious gesture, especially upon a guest leaving, is your last chance to make a positive impression and your final opportunity to make a good memory, but this was the opposite. We left with a bitter overtone. Btw, had they allowed us to check out later, they easily could've made other rooms and saved our room for last, especially because it would've been no more than a couple of hours maximum. Having hotel management experience, I know this is not a big deal, but for Casa, the customer experience was less key than blindly following their protocol.

Short stay at Hotel Casa 1800. The location is great and facilities are nice, however, the hotel staff is uninterested and rude. There are much better options around town.

I saw a previous low review and our experience was the exact opposite. My wife planned our entire trip to Spain and she picked this hotel based on several friend recommendations. The highlights for us were: 1) location. You can't ask for a better location to walk EVERYWHERE in Seville. 2) staff. Whatever the issue the other reviewer had, the obviously took care of it. The entire staff was so helpful and friendly. That makes an incredible difference. 3) room. This place was so comfortable.

Fabulous hotel! Rooms are all unique. We had a two-story room with a private rooftop patio and a view of the Cathedral. Great location in a fantastic city.

Staying here now and disappointed overall with customer service. They provide no washcloths for some inexplicable reason. When I called downstairs to ask for some she said they don't provide them. I asked if it's typical to use a washcloth to bathe and she said it was but for some reason the hotel doesn't provide any. Clearly a management issue, I asked to speak to a manager. Ava told me there was none available because it was late. When I asked for a managers card, she said she didn't have one. I had to insist that she write the managers information on a card for me and she wrote a first name (Alicia) and provided a general email address. I was furthermore disappointed that our room was tiny (shower claustrophobic) and didn't resemble the room pictures at all. To be fair I will say that the location is excellent and the hotel itself is beautiful. So disappointed to see so little attention to customer service. Not surprised to see lack of management responses to posts.

We went here on our honeymoon and I found this to be a nicer place to stay in Spain. The hotel staff spoke good English, were friendly and very helpful. The rooms were nice. This was actually the fist comfortable bed we stay in traveling through Spain that wasn't rock hard. The rooms were large, and the price was very reasonable.
