Casa Albets

"Part of the Casa Albets, a historic (and remote) family farm that is said to date back to the 11C, where the emphasis is very much on everything organic. In keeping with the rest of the property, the restaurant boasts a truly charming rustic ambience with its exposed stone walls and vaulted ceiling – the perfect setting for 100% vegan cuisine that takes full advantage of plants, vegetables and other non-animal-sourced ingredients in dishes that showcase meticulous presentation, intense flavours and textures that blend together seamlessly. Make sure you also try the interesting craft beers here!" - Michelin Inspector

We went here for a weekend. We spent a night and had an amazing time. We slept at L’hereu room, which was very nicely decorated. Dinner and breakfast were great. We also met very kind, and like-minded, people. Especial mention to the restaurant’s chairs and the ecologic mattresses, which were very comfortable.

We were only in the restaurant and it was really disappointing for us. They advertise themselves as the only Michlein recommended vegan place in Spain and Portugal. So our expectations were high. It was new years eve and it was said that is a special dinner. The desserts and starters were good the main dishes only average or below but nothing extraordinary. In the restaurant was so cold that I had to cover myself with my jacket. There was no music, there was no atmosphere we were sitting there like in a funeral. Because of the special event I thing every guest was dressed well while the waitress was in a worn out sweater. We payed 100€ per person and traveled there and back for 2-2 hours which didn't worth it at all. We found much better vegan restaurants in Barcelona. They don't have the Michelin recommendation and serves much better food and atmosphere.

Stunning location with amazing views, delicious vegan food, and the owners are amazing! They were extremely accommodating with some requests we had and made every effort to make our stay special. Hotel Casa Albets will always have a special place in our hearts.

I was there and it was simply AMAZING! If you enjoy nature, yoga and vegan food it is the place to be! I went with my friend during the weekend and were really amazed. The internal and external design of the property is just perfect... plus everything here is eco-friendly and sustainable. Waking up with a speechless view, from the la Font room, and eating "veggie" food for breakfast is the right way to start the day. The restaurant is amazing and you cannot leave without trying their delicious vegan food... A place you must go if you are a veggie lover! In the afternoon we also tried a yoga lesson and it was just perfect... The service was on point and the staff really friendly and ready to accommodate our requests. WE WILL BE BACK SOON to try a massage session. HIGHLY RECCOMANDATE :)

Amazing rural hotel, very beautiful place and surroundings. Wonderful ancient renovated house. Everything is completely vegan and eco-friendly. Very calm and relaxing atmosphere, during the day you can walk in the nature or go to one of the closest villages. Outstanding cuisine, the food is incredibly good and tasty. Wonderful breakfast as well. ||||We spent last weekend there and we are looking forward to come back. The rooms are very beautiful and comfortable. The only noise you hear is the birds singing!||||You'll need to rent a car or take a taxi from the closest village Solsona. We were coming from Barcelona's airport so we rent a car to make it easier.

This Hotel was a wonderful find . It is a beautifully stored Family home in a rural setting 15 kilometres from the old city Solsona .The property has been in the hands of the same since the 11th century and has recently been painstakingly restored as a hotel with 7 beautiful rooms with views over the surrounding countryside and the Pyrenees . An interesting feature of the venue restaurant is that it is entirely vegan . As a dedicated meat eater I found that challenging , but the meals were simply so superb that I was more than happy to eat vegan for the 2 nights we spent there . The Casa Albets recently celebrated its first anniversary as an hotel . While there we went for a few walks , relaxed with a massage and even found time for yoga |It is in a superb location and if you are looking for a delightful location to relax in comfort for a couple of nights this is well worth consideration .

What a getaway! Last “house” on the road, breathtaking views and only the sounds of birds singing. This hotel is truly unique. The owners restored it with a lot of respect for the classic features. The room was big with all comfort you would expect. We love the mix of old and new. The hotel is child and dog friendly. Theres a very relaxed atmosphere all around. But the real star is the restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Ecological, local, vegan food. (Spanish) classics with a modern twist, refined fresh food. Even if you are not vegan, you will love it! Every dish on the menu tickled our tastebuds. The world needs more people like Megan and Joel! They are excellent, warm and friendly hosts with a big heart for our environment. We are already planning our next visit here!

First off, the scenery around Casa Albets is absolutely beautiful. The hotel is well off of the main road and is surrounded by mountains and fields. It is extremely quiet and peaceful. ||||The vibe in the hotel is very quiet. We found the staff to be very friendly, but it is a quiet place and there isn't much interaction going on. For us, this was just fine. There isn't much to do in the hotel itself; it's just the room and nice places to sit outside. Again, we were fine with this. There is a TV (we didn't turn it on) and the wifi is good. ||||Around the hotel, there are some really nice hiking trails. The hotel has a number of trails listed on Wikiloc, making it really easy to find and navigate on the trails. For what it's worth, I did two of the trails; one was great and the other was completely overgrown in some parts. There's plenty of trail to be had, as long as you aren't stubborn like I was and try to hike a trail that's hardly there anymore. ||||We found the breakfast and dinner to be excellent. The dinner is definitely an upscale experience, with lots of unique dishes and presentation. Eating breakfast outside with a mountain view was a big highlight.||||Outside of relaxing at the hotel, we also toured the Migjorn olive oil farm and the nearby salt mountains. Both were great. We were pleasantly surprised to have things like this to do, both not too far away.
