"Here in Porto Vecchio, everything revolves around the sea. The ancient Genoese city fought off the onslaught of barbarian invasions and is a symbol of pride for Corsicans. Another source of pride is this restaurant: a mecca for lovers of seafood. Don't be distracted by the enchanting view of the bay, nor by the location of this superb hotel – it is on the plate that the most remarkable things happen! Chef Fabio Bragagnolo's cooking is inspired by both Corsica and Italy, eg roast loin of Corsican pork (porcu nustrale) with rosemary, fermented plums and carrots, and hazelnuts from Cervione, an intoxicating dish that smacks of the local terroir. Meticulous from start to finish, the meal culminates in delicate low-sugar desserts, such as bitter orange and Grand Marnier soufflé, a symphony of orange flavours on the palate." - Michelin Inspector

Casadelmar

"Casadelmar breathed new life into the "boutique" hotel idiom with a modern wood-paneled exterior and an array of original and amusing details. All 34 rooms and suites have drop-dead views over Corsica’s Bay of Porto Vecchio and are done in an appealing Japanese-Scandinavian style of raw-oak furniture, beige upholstery, Frette linens, and sisal-edged rugs made from thin strips of wood on mushroom-colored tile floors. The infinity pool has the same stunning bay views, and there’s a dock for anyone who wants to take a dip in the Med. The exceptionally intelligent and friendly staff and spectacular setting more than make up for the lack of a proper beach, and besides, the gorgeous white sands of Plage Santa Giulia are less than five minutes away."

Casadelmar (Porto Vecchio, Corsica) 1 Hotel Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"The island of Corsica has a certain reputation for wild, rugged beauty, and thanks to its distance from the French mainland it’s considerably less heavily traveled than, say, the Côte d’Azur. But its hospitality scene, ever growing, is capable of reaching impressive heights — none, perhaps, more impressive than Casadelmar." - Tablet Hotels

A charming boutique hotel with great vibes and thoughtful touches||This is what I call a cute boutique hotel. The location was great — most restaurants were nearby. Still, I’d highly recommend renting a car so you’re not stuck in one area — there’s so much to see around Porto Vecchio.||Breakfast was a highlight: an amazing spread of fresh fruit, meats, and pastries — everything was delicious. We couldn't eat at the breakfast terrace due to the wind. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to try lunch or dinner at the hotel as We caught some unusually windy days, so the beach and pool weren’t very enjoyable. Instead, we spent time at nearby beach clubs, which worked out great. Due to the wind, we also weren’t able to take the ferry to the sister hotel, Plage del Mar, and the drive was a bit too far for us.||The suite we booked was spacious and very comfortable — we slept incredibly well. The only downside was the toilet setup: it was in a separate room near the entrance, with a very small sink and a persistent odor that never really went away.||The gym was very small — just one treadmill, one elliptical, and some dumbbells — so we skipped it and went hiking instead. We drove about an hour to Piscia di Ghjaddu, a beautiful waterfall hike that was totally worth it early in the morning.||Overall, the staff was wonderful — attentive and kind throughout our stay. Despite a few minor issues, we left with great memories and would definitely consider coming back.

For the price point, expected a bit more. Wonderful service and food though something that always annoyed me at certain high end hotels is why they still want to charge for additional water. 15 euros for eggs at breakfast. Or a beach towel for 7 euros a day. People paying 1200 Euros a night can afford it but it leaves a bad taste in the mouth, especially with other high end who often include all mini bar free etc. Would have rather have just paid 1250 and have it all included. Location was lovely west facing for sunset. Rooms nice but not really worth that price point.

Nothing special Expected more but it’s ok or slightly less It’s my first time in Corsica and I wish I tried a different hotel. (Especially with the price point it’s not supposed to be just ok) There is no beaches in the hotel but there is in there sister hotel I honestly would have gave them 2 stars if it’s not for the lady who drive the boat to take us there ,I added the third star . I feel like I didn’t experience the magic of Corsica which is very disappointing if I am ever coming back it will definitely not be in this hotel . Only good thing rooms are good and the cleanliness. Reception only two helpful welcoming ladies ( Only two ladies were helpful, the rest didn’t seem interested )

This is a really fun hotel. Absolutely stunning views and gorgeous rooms. There’s so much to see and do around the property. The breakfast is included and it’s absolutely fantastic. The linens are luxurious.

This hotel gets it so wrong. Rated 5 star it is simply in a 5 star setting. The rooms are very average, poky and the price is more than double what it should be. They charge you extra for EVERYTHING. 11 euros for water, 10 euros for anything in the mini bar, 7 euros for a beach towel, 15 euros if you’d like an egg cooked with your breakfast. At every chance they want to charge. This is all whilst charging you €1800 per night for the room. If you charge this much it should be 5 star delivery. I’ve stayed in way better hotels who charge €300 for a room. |The service is lovely and the girls are very apologetic about the way the hotel is run - they know it’s not how to run a luxury hotel. |For the price it’s the worst place I’ve ever stayed. Cannot recommend

5 star setting. 1 star delivery. This hotel charges outrageous prices for what it delivers. Then charges extra for water in the room €11, a cooked egg at breakfast €15, a towel for the beach €7. The tiny mini bar is €10 for water. The staff are embarrassed and apologetic but the management continue to try and fleece their customers at every possible turn despite charging £1300 for a very basic, small room per night. Absolutely do not recommend. The setting is beautiful but the hotel is very poor.

From the moment you walk in the door this place exudes luxury. Everything is wonderful. The views were outstanding. The pool was amazing. I wish I could have stayed longer. I would not hesitate to book again and I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Breakfast was very good and dinner was too.

Yelp
Great restaurant. Ideally located right on a beautiful beach. Very professional staff (way above average local practice). Food is great - simpler than the "gastronomique" restaurant if the main Casadelmar location on the other side of the Porto-Vecchio bay. Great place for a romantic dinner.

Yelp
Situated right at the beach, completely renovated luxury and favorable hotel. There are few villas and just 15 suits, so it's not crowded and very private. Each room has a cozy terrace. Suits are very spacious and beautifully decorated. Comfortable large bed, big bathroom. Few steps to the beach, where you can swim or just enjoy the view, sun and the sea breeze. They have swimming pool too, but who wants a swimming pool if there is such a marvelous sea. Kids? Breakfast was included. Buffet with fruits, pastries, etc. Like a continental selection, with no smoked salmon, nor omelets or Champaign. But all they offered was delicious. For dinner we ordered room service from their restaurant and enjoyed it at our terrace - in a company with stray cats who wanted to have a bite too, how lovely! No gym, but they suggest you to use their gym and SPA at their main hotel in the city where you can drive, it's not a walking distance. Or they have a charter boat cruising over there. We didn't go there and had a beautiful jog around the neighborhood. Hotel is open for the summer season only. Very peaceful, quiet and romantic place to stay.
