Hotel Catalonia Ronda | Best places to stay in Ronda

"Located on Ronda’s high street, this chic hotel is a two-minute walk from the spectacular gorge-spanning Puente Nuevo.   The x-factor here is the irresistible infinity pool and rooftop bar, offering breathtaking views into the historic 18th–century ‘cathedral of bull fighting’ and across to the Sierra de Grazalema mountains, at their most beautiful when backlit by frisson-giving sunsets.  Rooms, in metallic bronze, gold and silver tones, are comfortable and filled with light; some suites have balconies, and there’s parking nearby, making it a great stopover for anyone touring the White Villages.   " - Dana Facaros

We had an amazing two night stay at the Catalonia in the beautiful city of Ronda! Very friendly staff, spotlessly clean, best location. We were bumped up to a superior room which was very nice and very spacious. Only problem was a wall view but we weren't spending much time in the room. We ate in the roof top restaurant on one night overlooking the bull ring and watching the sun go down. The food and service were second to none ... a real treat! The infinity pool and hot tub, again overlooking the bull ring, was amazing with full waiter service to your sunbed! Breakfast on the roof terrace was excellent. Couldn't recommend highly enough!

We have just finished a road trip around Andulacia and we have got to say this was the best hotel we stayed in by a mile. The rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean, the food was exceptional in the restaurant both for breakfast and dinner, the rooftop pool was excellent with wonderful views over the bull ring and valley below. Finally the bar was an amazing place to watch the sunset in the evening. All in all a fantastic stay and we will be back in October.

An amazing hotel in a superb location. Not only is the interior decor luxurious and the rooms large with everything you would expect from a four star hotel but the views from the restaurant, bar and rooftop pool are out of this world. The service was so good. Staff friendly, and everyone you pass by says hello with a smile. I particularly want to call out Antonio who was so attentive and helpful in carrying our bags to both our rooms, parking our car and giving us information about Ronda and the hotel. He then did the same in reverse when we left. A true gentleman. We will definitely be back!

What an amazing hotel to stay in this beautiful historic town. Everything from when we walked in was perfect. The room was spotless, buffet breakfast was sensational and all staff were helpful and obliging to make you welcome as well as providing some great tips. A special thanks to Juan at reception who was so helpful and accommodating.

This hotel was a highlight of our family trip. The rooftop restaurant and bar overlooks the bullring and the setting sun. The food was very fresh and tasty, and went well with their sangria. The rooms were large and well appointed, we did not upgrade to 'view' rooms but they were still very comfortable and spotless. The hotel is a blend of different buildings so it's a bit of a maze, but it is well worth it. The location is perfect for exploring Ronda, with the market street right out the front door, opposite the bull ring, and the bridge being a very short walk away.

We spent the last night of our touring holiday of Spain at this nice hotel. As you will have read from previous reviews the place is well situated with views over the bull ring and the valley below. It is also conveniently close to the old town and main shopping avenue.||However it only gets 4 stars because the room we were given was not what we had been expecting. The booking specified a triple deluxe suite which this was clearly not, added to which there was only light coming from a small narrow window at one corner of the room (see photo) facing the rear of the hotel. The only redeeming feature was the spacious modern bathroom.||The hotel restaurant Panoramico is worth a visit, great view of the bullring, if a bit overpriced. I had the steak tartare with smoked eel and bone marrow (very good but please can we have more smoked eel?).||The pool is in a similarly panoramic position on the top floor but is much smaller than some of the photos would have you believe (three is a crowd).||We would stay here again if we return to Ronda, if we could be guaranteed a better room…..

Stunning contemporary hotel in the heart of Ronda overlooking the bull ring, and a truly unique experience. Rooms were spacious and immaculately clean, and the bar/restaurant/terrace is a fantastic place to take in the city and surrounding mountains. Staff are friendly and super-helpful, if you're wondering about parking your car there's a free valet service (though parking cost around 14 euros per day) to take it to and from the public car park. Thank you for such an enjoyable stay, we wouldn't hesitate to visit again.

We stayed at this hotel on two separate occasions, the second stay as a result of the excellence of the first, these were within 6 days of each other. It is without doubt the finest we have stayed, great staff, great service and first rate rooms. The restaurant has a wonderful menu and the views from the terrace are outstanding. The standards are top class from all staff. Everyone friendly, attentive and very helpful.
