Hotel Chalet Gerard - The mountain lodge

We had an exceptional dinner at Chalet Gerard. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, and the service was exceptional. The restaurant also enjoys a beautiful view of Val Gardena. We tasted the Spring dishes and also had gluten-free options for my spouse, which were done perfectly. I highly recommend it and would definitely go back.

This hotel is absolutely fantastic. I couldn’t recommend the service, location and experience more highly. The drive to the location is beautiful but very steep, unfortunately we broke down just outside the hotel. The hotel staff helped us immediately and offered their services to move our vehicle to a safe location, made space for us to stay at the hotel and have breakfast. The owners, including Nivez couldn’t have been more helpful and understanding. I can’t thank them enough for everything. We hope to return to the hotel in the future under better circumstances as there is no other place quite like it.

Fantastic dinner. The location is remote but unique and worth the drive. Food was excellent - dumplings, risotto, gnocchi mushrooms and pork salad - were great starters. Main courses were very good too. Great wine selection. Orange ice cream dessert was delicious.

Food was nice but I found the speck risotto to be quite bland and not much flavour. Lamb was nice but more sauce would be better. Location is fabulous

Came here for dinner so can't comment on the rooms/hotel part but the little tour that I took seemed promising. Location is absolutely beautiful, albeit remote so expect quite the drive. Interior is traditional with a modern spin- very beautiful and makes for a great ambience. Service was amazing, expect coat service, free greeting from the kitchen etc. Very attentive, although a few of our orders got mixed up. Food is beautifully presented and the options are far from ordinary. We ordered many to share, some looked better than they tasted to be honest. What surprised were the vegan options that weren't advertised explicitly online- a full page seperate menu that was quite good. Even the greeting from the kitchen came as seperate vegan. A rare gem in this region. Portions rather small. But overall: big recommendation!

My wife and I had such a wonderful time. The staff was so gracious and helpful, and the owner even lent me her trekking poles. Excellent service and food. The room was super comfortable. And the view from the panoramic room! Incredible waking up to or taking a bath with Sassolungo framed in your window and balcony. Definitely get the panoramic view.

One of the best meals I’ve had in Italy. The flavors were both fresh and rich. The black truffle ravioli was incredible. Service was excellent. Views over the valley with Rick faces all around. What a wonderful place.

I am reviewing the Restaurant. We visited a couple of days ago and had dinner. All the staff were very kind and had a huge smile on their face! Food was delicious and the portions were just right! Don't skip dessert! We had the Apple Ice cream and it was a dream. Will definitely be back See you soon!
