Hotel Ciutat de Girona

The perfect city break hotel. Perfectly located comfortable and professional. We arrived early and they changed the room so we could unpack and settle even though it was shouts before check in. The bedrooms were reasonably sized and comfortable. The restaurant was clean and offered excellent breakfasts. The staff were all friendly but above all it was the perfect location right next to the Eiffel bridge and central to the old town. We had a lovely time and look forward to returning.

Beautifully finished hotel with a wonderfully spacious room. The hotel could be improved by ensuring there is breakfast options throughout the service as later times there was not much food available and items missing. They could also ensure there is air conditioning in the spin studio

This charming boutique hotel was just what we needed. The location is ideal, with clean, well-organized rooms that provided everything we were looking for. It’s not overly fancy, but it was perfect for our stay. The hotel is conveniently close to the train station and just a short walk to the old quarter. While it’s not the quietest spot, I’d still recommend it for anyone looking for a short stay—especially if, like us, you're planning to visit the Dali Museum while you are in Girona.

Very bad service, first said the parking is free of charge just bring the ticket to them is fine, then they charged us for 24€ per night… and also note they the room has a very bad chemical smell (I’m glad we only stayed for one night) and worse is they do not provide bar soap or lotion???? What kind of 4 star hotel does not provide bar soap and lotion?????????????? I’m very disappointed… I don’t understand how can this be a 4 star hotel.. the room itself is at most 3 star and without the bar soap and lotion I would say it’s 2 star… and also considering the price is a bit expensive without any good service.. they just want money.. also we can hear voice from the other room

We stayed here at the beginning of our biking tour. They are geared up for bikers although the storage location for the bikes is down a windy flight of stairs or a small elevator (you have the wheel the bike in). We had the breakfast in the morning before we left and it was the best of our trip! The beds are VERY firm but the location and cleanliness made up for it!

This hotel is beautiful and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay here longer. Truly a gem of a place-clean, comfortable and the staff incredibly friendly and super helpful. Would definitely stay here again!!

Perfect hotel for a city break. Brilliant location right next to the Eiffel bridge. Room was ideal with a nice bathroom. We used the restaurant for breakfasts and it was ideal. The staff were all friendly and professional. Would love to return

Very clean and convenient. Most friendly staff, especially Ruben in reception and Bradie from the restaurant. We stayed 7 nights. All good. The hotel is in the old town. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Visited Barcelona, only 1 hour by train. The Ramblas is destroyed. No experience. Shame. In Girona, we walked the wall. 3.5 kilometers. By the way, the hotel is idyllic for cyclists. Their every whim is supported.

A great place to stay when exploring this amazing city. The hotel is located in a prime location and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. They cater to the cyclist community as they have the nicest bike storage and repair area in the hotel basement with a full SPIN studio. All in all a very nice place when traveling to Girona.

I can easily forgive that the hotel needs a fair bit of cosmetic maintenance (see pictures of a few items) but the fact it felt physically unsafe wasn't acceptable. The hotel uses a motion detector system to turn on hallway lights. Unfortunately, it's not configured well. The dark picture below is my first two steps into the hallway (from either direction). The picture of the staircase was lightened automatically by my iPhone. And while it's likely the city rather than the hotel that created the problem, there is a curb that is invisible to those of us with depth perception struggled (see grey stone picture). The two parts are a step of three inches. Tape (yellow or reflective) would really help. The breakfast was "meh", they use only half the room (making it feel crowded), and the towels they insist on leaving take up the entire area by the sink. The person who was the Front Desk manager said that they were aware. (I'd asked to speak to the hotel manager but he refused to check.) I'd said I felt the problems deserved a one-star review. He told me I was wrong! No sense he cared at all (perhaps because I asked to speak in English and subtlety is English is tough.) He did have a safety light turned on in my hallway (which did help though it buzzed all the time). So three stars but I doubt I'd return.

Lovely Girona! Great city and why not stay in the heart of it. We had great customer service, the lady in the front desk was very friendly. Our room was nice, clean, modern and a bit smaller than what we are used to, but it fits the needs. We had no issues through out our stay. Very easy access to restaurant and city, walking distance to main attractions. We got great rates at Expedia.com, otherwise you might want to call them to make reservations.

Definitely one of the better hotel experiences I've had in Spain! The lobby is beautifully decorated and the staff here are very pleasant. We had one of the larger corner rooms and it was very spacious and clean. Extremely well located and it was also very easy to walk here from the train station, even with our luggage.
