I had a fantastic, if too short stay at the Claris while awaiting a cruise out of Barcelona. First the rooms are small, even by European standards, but thoughtfully laid out, while the bathroom is quite large. The large tub was very welcoming after a long day of shopping. I find the hotel well situated, in a quiet neighborhood just a block away from Passeig de Gràcia station and the luxury stores. I had both breakfast and tapas at the hotel, with both being excellent. Breakfast was a combination of buffet with a made-to-order egg station, and I had some confusion about how to order. Luckily, the waiter was fantastic and attentive, explaining the process and keeping me well caffeinated. Service throughout the hotel was impeccable as I would expect from a five star property. I arrived early in the morning and the front desk staff was able to store my luggage and text me when my room was ready, but also put in a rush dry cleaning order before I even checked in. My luggage was waiting in my room when I did check in later in the day. Staff were also able to quickly repair an issue with my window while I was out to dinner. I also greatly enjoyed the small museum located inside the hotel, as well as the historical headboard inside my room. My stay also included free admission to the nearby Egyptian Museum of Barcelona also owned by Mr. Clos’s foundation. All of Mr. Clos’s hotels apparently include a museum.

Undoubtely, one of my best hotel stays, ever. While the rooms are on the small side, the layout is very efficient and cozy. Nespresso coffee machine in room and free mini bar. The best breakfast buffet! Staff is fantastic. Within walking distance to restaurants and major shopping district. Will definately return!

Easy taxi ride from train station Barcelona Sans to hotel. |Hotel room was spacious, very comfortable, mini bar complimentary & staff very responsive to any needs or requests! |Definitely go to rooftop for bite to eat or just for view of city! |Def recommend, clean comfortable, amazing staff, great attention to all your needs. Loved the little candy bar, drink station in the lobby.

Excellent location, beautiful hotel and rooms, warm check-in, very comfortable and pleasant experience overall. We would definitely come back to this hotel. |However, do note that the room assigned to us was practically windowless so there is no natural light in the room which is a pity when you travel to a sunny place.|Additionally, lighting in the beautiful and well designed bathrooms is rather low and painful if you want to apply any basic makeup.

Nice hotel, rooms are a little small. If you are 2 adult and one kid, no suites available only junior one apparently. Be prepared. The front desk staff is nice but could be warmer, the rest of the staff is really nice. Especially the staff on the rooftop, excellent there. It is perfectly centered in the city.

All style, no substance. This hotel seems to be for people blind to costs and who can spend freely. The hotel is beautiful but that's about it. The pool terrace has a capacity of 10 for a 124 room hotel. Getting a drink laying by the pool was difficult and presented with zero hospitality. My shower was either broken or required and in person demonstration to operate--I passed on the demo. The wifi is abysmally slow for it being 2025 (<20 mbps) but marketed as "premium". The windows are so thin you can hear all the traffic below you as if the windows were open. For the cost (sometimes over 400 euro per night) there is no value other than the location. There are so many better options in the city than this hotel. When I'm on vacation I want to feel comfortable and at ease, this wasn't it. Yeah there's a bellman and a staff available to helplessly attempt accommodating what should be considered basics, but at this price point that isn't good enough. I was excited to end my trip to Barcelona at Claris, but now I regret booking here.

Hotel Claris Barcelona|Out standing hotel!|Best possible location, 2 minutes walk from the entrance of the hotel to "Passeig de Gracia", major shopping street with hundreds of shops, of all brands including international chines. |The rooms are very large, comfortable double beds, and an excellent mattress.|Rooms are very clean | A large bathroom including shower, Jacuzzi & Sona!|Two large sinks soft Towles plus amenities.|The front desk staff are very professional, polite & helpful. |The bellboys are very helpful and polite,|Especially Oscar, who deserves extra thanks & compliments, for the wonderful service he gave us with our lugged & concierge services.| Big Shapo to Oscar! |No doubt that we will be coming again soon to stay at the Claris Hotel Barcelona!

Our stayed was outstanding! The rooms were beautiful, with blackout curtains and a shower that you wanted to stay under for an hour. Service was incredible and the drinks were fantastic! SPECIAL MENTION TO RUBEN! when we checked out of the hotel there was a race going on and many streets were blocked, Ruben called us a taxi and he was kind enough to walk with us several blocks to meet the driver. Incredible service. And there is also a candy bar at the entrance. Thank you for a wonderful experience

We were booked at the Claris by Princess Cruises prior to our Mediterranean cruise. I wouldn't have picked a better hotel for our 2-night stay. Location was great - close to convenience stores and restaurants. Check-in was smooth - the staff at the front desk were so welcoming and offered water when we arrived along with some candy at the lobby. Since we arrived pretty early, the rooms weren't ready, but the staff did their best to get us settled in our rooms by noon. The bellmen were helpful and courteous. We had breakfast at the basement restaurant while waiting for our rooms and our server was amazing (he was a nice gentleman whose parents were from the Philippines). He was friendly, welcoming and attentive to our needs. The hotel is beautiful. I love buildings that have a lot of history, and this one certainly does! Love the art pieces all over the hotel including artwork in the rooms. The room was clean and spacious. Non-alcoholic beverages in the mini-bar were complimentary to enjoy. I would definitely stay here again!

Stayed in a duplex suite, which was beautiful. Plumbing issues in our sink, bath tub and shower. No maintenance on staff. Poor housekeeping. Blood stain on our sheets, and thick layer of dust under our bed indicating that it hadn't been cleaned in months. Only received turn down service on our second night, after complaining that our room hadn't been cleaned at all. COVID test was improperly scheduled by the front desk and I almost missed my flight home due to their error. With the exception of few, staff is unapologetic for their incompetence. It's a beautiful property but management is severely lacking. After all we suffered, we were only offered 15% off of our room service charges. They then did not apply it to all charges, so we only got a $7 discount. It was more offensive than if they had done nothing at all. There are plenty of beautiful hotels in the world. Contacted hotel group manager before writing a review to give them an opportunity to make it right, he did nothing. Avoid this place.

The bellmen took the luggage from the cab when we arrived and sent us inside to meet Monica who checked us in and offered us a beverage right away. She was able to give us information on our sight seeing adventures. She even booked the hop on/off bus for us. There are two routes, blue and red. The hotel is a block from both routes. You are also walking distance to La Sagrada Familia and multiple metro stations. The restaurants in the area were fantastic. We tried the Barcelona paella called fideua, which is made with pasta instead of rice. Ask the concierge to make reservations for you. The bellmen were great to arrange transportation and delivered the bags to the room quickly. The room was very clean and modern with USB ports on each side of the bed for charging your phone. The bathroom had plenty of counter space. There was a tub and a nice stand alone shower with a ceiling shower head. We only stayed 3 nights but the staff treated us like we had been friends for years. Great experience. I highly recommend this hotel for your Barcelona journey.

Beautiful hotel & located walking distance from everything like all designer shopping stores & the famous Sagrada Família. Staff was very nice & helpful. You get complimentary bottles of water daily & nespresso capsules, very fancy. The hotel has a traditional doorman in the front. They're WiFi is amazingly fast! Also they give you a phone to use if you need one to make international calls or use while your out and about.

Location was spot on, and I preferred this over some of the other hotels in this area (which have been a bit stuffy). I actually booked this stay a little late, so there were not many hotels available for the days I was there, but it ended up working out quite nicely! My review comes off a work trip, so of course I booked a Duplex, and seriously this room was incredible. The downstairs was the bed and bathroom, and the upstairs had a nice couch and table to work from at the end of a day walking around the city. Claris has an incredibly beautiful rooftop full of plants, a small pool and a restaurant which I had lunch at. Really enjoyed sitting up there for a little and looking down on the streets from the restaurant above!

The doorman was awesome as well as the registration staff. They offer the guests a free phone to use as a hot spot or make international calls while you're there. It took us a few days to fully figure it out. The concierge was t much help. The roof top was beautiful, very clean with beautiful views. The turndown service was daily was great and Hotel is located in a great location. We walked everywhere! We had a junior suite which at first sight is beautiful. The stairs to the loft are open and beautiful. The individual artwork gives each room an individual feeling. I was pleased with the room when we first arrived. Then we started looking for a spot to put our luggage. We had 2 large suitcases and there literally was no spot to put them. The room had a suitcase stand about 12" square. I lived out of my suitcase on the floor for 5 days. The night stands by the bed were also about 10" square. There was no place to put anything. The loft had a lot of room but I couldn't drag my suitcase up there. Most of our items were on the floor or piled on the staircase. The bathroom was also beautiful with a 4' long country sink which left us with a total of maybe 12" square bathroom countertop. Again, we used the floor. There was no counter or desk to sit down at to put makeup on. I sat upstairs on the sofa holding my makeup mirror. Very inconvenient. The hair dryer plugged in on the right side of the counter which left no place to set down other than the sink. So, everything about the hotel was nice, clean and the location was great and the breakfast was beautiful! But as far as functionality, it gets a big zero. For $550/ night I expect to have a spot to put on makeup, a place to set my luggage rather than on the floor under the stairwell and a bit of bathroom counter. The space is there, it's just totally un-usable.

Arrived last night. Thank goodness Claris offers airport shuttle since Barcelona has no Uber lol. Location is within walking distance to major attractions, shopping and best restaurants. The hotel is cozy but elegant. Spotless lobby. Front desk staff Fernanda and Elias are the best! Very friendly, helpful and courteous! Already feeling at home which is a good thing. Great first impression, LOVE IT!!!

A wonderful hotel with an excellent service! The decoration is spectacular, between tradition and modernity. The rooftop with the piscine is a perfect place for a drink (I recommend the mojito). The Suite includes a private sauna and two separated bathrooms. Very comfortable, the bedroom is exceptional !

This was our first hotel in Barcelona for our honeymoon and it was ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!! We got room upgrades twice during our stay. The staff is sincere, courtesy, and very accommodating. They helped us plan out our stay in the city with local foods, bars, and attractions. This hotel is centrally located and in a safe/quiet area at night. You can easily walk to most places in the city (metro station is two blocks away as well) . One of the best and possibly overlooked aspects of the hotel is a free mobile hot spot! Take it with you as you go around the city. You don't need to buy a SIM card or worry about connecting to WiFi at cafes. The battery lasts the entire day. We used google maps to get around and it was perfect. Lastly, they have electronic blackout style shades which are amazing for having a pitch black room to sleep in (especially if you're jet lagged!!).

this is absolutely the worst 5 star hotel I have stayed at. The staff had to be reminded about giving us new bottle of water or coffee pods in the room. And the decor in the room is not half as good as the pictures represent. The bedding is very uncomfortable and cheap. The rooms are terribly small and feels humid. Really I would say it is at most a four star hotel. I always stay in five star hotels for my trips, this might amaze some people who have been choosing more economical stays but definitely not for someone who is used to top notch service. I hope they will address the issues.

Nice Rooms. Great fantastic Area. Close to everything. When you get free breakfast you will always wait 20minutes before anyone takes your order and then another 25minutes to get your food. That seems perfectly normal to everyone who works here. Service sucks unless you order room service. No spa or pool. Also make sure you don't eat where concierge recommends because they only send you where they get kick backs. Also don't let the bellman or hotel get you any taxis or ride services because you will get charged 10 to 15% more.

really beautiful hotel pro's -- gorgeous rooms, blackout curtains (for great sleep), friendly and helpful staff, tasty restaurant on site, centrally located cons -- an hour and a half free wifi every day but only if you have a working cell phone that can receive text messages, otherwise you have to pay per day for Kubi wifi service which is pretty slow.... ive stayed at 1 and 2 star hotels that offer free wifi....even cafes and bars offer free wifi now =/ why not you hotel claris?? NOISY cleaning staff thin walls in general....you can hear the neighbors talking and showering etc and anyone in the hallway

The hotel is lovely, clean and modern. They promise free wifi which is only free for the first 3 days. After that you can't even buy any more wifi access. We have another day to go and have no wifi. The TV has almost no English speaking channels. In fact Barcelona is not all that non- Catalunyan or Spanish speaking friendly. It's much harder to navigate for that reason alone than much of Italy, Denmark or Holland. Not many food choices if you don't eat meat or cheese which they serve at every meal. I do recommend the hotel as it is very conveniently located.

Awesome location for a cocktail to kickoff or end your night. I had a new fashioned which is a old fashioned made with rum instead of bourbon and it was awesome. My bride had a mojito which I think was the best mojito I ever tasted. Service took a while but I wasn't too concerned as we were enjoying watching dusk settle in.

They also took care of reservations anywhere or any ticket issues. Breakfast every morning was also delicious. Over all ill stay here again

Diligent, attentive and experienced staff. The hotel was accommodating to the teenagers and they loved the rooftop pool. Late afternoon/early evening drinks and appetizers while watching the kids swim before dinner was a great way to finish the day. Very comfortable beds, strong AC and ultra modern bathrooms. They had an above average breakfast to start the day. Art presentation throughout hotel was impressive. All members of the family would go back in a heart beat. I cannot find any negatives.

Whomever granted this hotel 5 stars should have their license revoked. The interior is shabby; the second floor hallway has wall tiles and a ceiling panel held in place with masking tape. My room, to which I was "upgraded" had peeling paint and a choking smell of ammonia. Maybe it was in its prime 10 years ago but now I would suggest passing it up. It was also Very Expensive!

What a wonderful hotel! My boyfriend and I spent the first days of our euro trip here and could not have been more thrilled. The hotel itself is gorgeous and we were upgraded to a truly mindblowing suite, which is probably the nicest room I have stayed in my entire life. Loved it. Also they have incense burning in the hallways which I found really unique and relaxing. Also amazing was the rooftop deck with a pool and gorgeous views of Barcelona. The bar had this absolutely delicious anchovy tapa which we devoured. I was also obsessed with the rose cava they had. And can we discuss breakfast here?! I thought my eyes were going to pop out of my head when I first saw it (and every day after). A huge variety of meat, cheese, fruit, multiple types of yogurt, a really delicious in house yogurt pudding, pan tomaca, literally the list goes on. And they had a really extensive a la carte menu that you could order off of as well. My boyfriend loved the pancakes he had. Finally we found the staff to be equally lovely and accommodating at every turn to both myself (bilingual Spanish speaker) and my boyfriend (not a Spanish speaker). This place is truly a must stay when in Barcelona.

In the newer section of Barcelona, Hotel Clairis was wonderful. It was ideally located, one block away from passeig de gracia, a Main Street with shopping, restaraunts and the metro station where most train lines run. It was not too far from avenue diagonal-another main avenue, and located near some main attractions like sagrada familia. There are plenty of restaurants close by as well. In addition to the friendly staff and beautiful rooms, there is a rooftop pool, which was perfect on days when you are touring and don't want to make the trip to the beach. The seats that are available near the pool were limited though, but the staff does try to accommodate you in any way possible. We mentioned that we were on our honeymoon and when arriving, were given a bottle of champagne and chocolates, as well as a room upgrade. It was very nice. I think the service, amenities and location makes this hotel worth every penny.
