Hotel Continental

There is no air conditioning even though the weather was hot. There is a small box in the room that is not considered a refrigerator. If you open the window to cool the room, the neighbors will see you because they directly overlook a narrow street and mosquitoes will enter. The wooden floor creaks clearly if you walk on it, which disturbs others. The doors make a creaking sound if you open them and they need a little effort to grease them. There is no laundry service. I arrived at late night , and passed the the hotel without recognition as there is no illuminated identification sign on it. The best thing about the place is the staff, as they are cooperative and polite, and I thank them. The location is also great. The hotel is located on the main street of the city next to restaurants and bakeries, not far from the train station and not far from the ferry stop that operates on the lake. At the end of the street there is the entrance leading to the Evian water source, you can visit it easily. The place is quiet and the staff are helpful. I needed a taxi and they provided one to take me to Annecy , also I asked for an iron to press the clothes and they provided. The internet is good. The hotel is relatively cheap and the value for money is acceptable compared to its limited facilities.

Everything was good about the hotel. Friendly staff, clean hotel & room the room was clean as well. Overall, a good comfortable, convenient and a happy stay. Only a small suggestion- if they could cover their morning breakfast.

Fantastic hotel, perfect location, clean and cozy rooms, the continental breakfast was the best I’ve ever had!

The hotel is very well positioned, easy walking distance of the lake, restaurants and funicular. Very warm and welcome greeting as we arrived at the hotel. The hotel is not modern but classic and very clean throughout. The room was a great size as was the bed and very comfortable too. Great shutters and windows to shut out the sun & noise although it wasn’t really a noisy area. Would definitely recommend and would stay again when we visit again.

Charming Hotel, with well sized room and an excellent location. Bed was comfy, view of the lake is stunning and although we didn’t have the breakfast it looked delicious. Would stay again.

The hotel is at the center of Evian, nearist place to Casino. friendly and warm welcome. There is park problem for your car. You need to book a park before arrive.

This hotel is more than 100 years old but the building maintenance and its simple classic decor is amazing. Minimal wood furnishings which are presentable enough and loads of space in the room. Very clean and simply decorated yet appealing and nostalgic. ||||The standard continental breakfast was lovely, having croissants & pain au chocolat in France is a must and they all tastes amazing. It would also be great to have a variety ||||The hotel staff provided fantastic hospitality, she was everywhere..at the reception, on the phone, brought the iron & board to our door, serving breakfast and recommending us the places worth to visit. It has the old style standard key lock to the wooden door and provided us with sufficient security. Another staff at Reception on our check out day was also kind enough to let us keep our luggage while we dine for breakfast nearby. ||||It really makes a difference to the hotel guests when staying in a hotel with good hospitality service. We had a pleasant stay, affordable yet we were contented provided by the staff, room wuality and breakfast. Evians les blains is beautiful and Lac Leman is just a few minutes away.
