Copernicus

"On Kraców’s oldest street lies this intimate restaurant that sits within the Hotel Copernicus, a former palace with 15C origins and an impressive Gothic façade. Wood-panelling and a stone fireplace give the dining room a historic feel to enjoy while ordering from the 5, 7 or 9 course tasting menus. Dishes are modern, adventurous and well-crafted takes on Polish and European dishes. The Italian wines on the list are the pick of the bunch." - Michelin Inspector

We didn’t stay at the hotel but had lunch and enjoyed the spa amenities. I can not say enough positive things about the experience. The staff was so accommodating and provided a true five star afternoon. The spa was relaxing and transformative, perfect for us weary travelers. The lunch was beyond expectations. We enjoyed each bite thoroughly!! If you are looking for a luxurious experience I can not recommend this enough. We will definitely be staying at the Hotel Copernicus when we return to Krakow.

Everything is great as usual, we have been coming back to the same property for the past 4 years. And we will book again next year once we buy the flight ticket for the annual visit. We got room 101 and 103 before. This time we got 101. Its beautiful and located near to the elevator. Its not noisy although it's near to the elevator. Breakfast was perfect.

Having a lovely stay in this beautiful hotel in Krakow old town right next to Wawel Castle. Perfect location to enjoy everything this amazing city has to offer and then step in to the peaceful and tranquil atmosphere of this historic hotel. Our room has everything you could wish for, breakfast is delicious each morning, a visit to the Spa yesterday was relaxing. It’s the staff who make the Copernicus such a welcoming hotel, always ready to help and so pleasant. Sad to be leaving tomorrow.

Most comfortable bed and pillows. Welcoming reception desk, even for very late arrival. Avoid rooms facing the street. Tourists meet nearby to view Pope John Paul II’s home and it is *very* noisy until after 9 pm. Also, at this time, there’s construction going on all day across the street. ||Breakfast service was a little scattered but the food was very good. ||The building is beautiful but the interior design in the rooms could be updated to maximize space and improve lighting. ||Expected a bit more having read other reviews. Stayed at the Stradom House earlier in the week and that was a perfect experience.

Good points: historical rooms, yet cozy and good for holiday staying. The room making is very good. The amenities were nice! The cuisine was very fine also. Very much suggest you visit the Spa, really revitalized. Some suggestions: you need a real good bartender in the hotel bar…it helps to fetch more customers! Also, maybe the air conditioner(it is on the 3rd floor) needs more soundproof measures. Noises can be heard in Rm 201.

Such a beautiful and well run hotel in a gorgeously pretty street right by the beautiful Wawel Castle . Staff lovely |, the basement spa so pretty and relaxing and the rooms elegant and comfortable . The staff were very helpful in booking our tour to Auschwitz which was a truly memorable experience . Krakow is a wonderful and poignant city . Would return in a heartbeat.

Hotel Copernicus is a very nice place to stay in Krakow. The vibe of the whole place is really cool - antique(y) but everything in great shape. Rooms were well stocked with amenities (kettle and tea needed!) and the bathrooms were lovely with great water pressure. Spa and pool was a great added bonus. Staff were kind, proactive and friendly! Highly recommend.

"I had an incredible stay at the Copernicus Hotel in Coco! The service was exceptional, and everything ran smoothly from start to finish. We thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing nights and days spent lounging in the hotel and indulging in the wonderful spa facilities. The attention to detail and warm hospitality made us feel truly pampered. We're already looking forward to our next visit – highly recommended!"

Yelp
My 1st Michelin restaurant experience and I am still thinking about it! Service, food, atmosphere, and experience was extraordinary! I'm super grateful and impressed as I hope to be back again someday.

Yelp
This hotel restaurant has a fixed menu lunch, but the items on the menu are normally not known until about an hour before the restaurant opens. We knew it served high-quality and innovative food. So, we checked with the restaurant around 11:00 and learned that the menu was to our liking. One of us is lactose intolerant, so the chef made special accommodations. The food is not only tasty but also very elegantly presented, and the restaurant setting is also quite elegant. The lunch was the most expensive we've had in Poland, but we were happy that we dined there.

Yelp
A+ Service and ambiance. Food checks off every top-notch ingredient. This is where less would have been more. Food is very rich. You pay for it too. Would have preferred simpler items where the ingredients express themselves more. I did love the mushrooms and lamb

Yelp
Tasting menu only had seven items with no options for substitutions. 3 fish courses, 1 vegetarian, 1 chicken, 2 desserts. No beef pork or duck so if don't eat fish you are going to be very unhappy. Languistine dish was overcooked and rubbery. Chicken dish lacked salt and flavor on some items and piece of squab was barely more than one bite. Strawberry dessert dish was all one soft texture, just mushy items with no crunch. Peroigi dish was only thing that was memorable

Yelp
We had an absolutely lovely time at the hotel Copernicus with our partners. The atmosphere reminds you very much of ages past and the staff is very genuine and kind. My favorite part of staying there is the turn down service and the attention to beautiful details. The glass elevators in the old building we also a great touch. I had wonderful sleep, and the shower was amazing there.

Yelp
Hmmmm. The beau and I decided with the 5 course meal individually. This restaurant was fancy indeed. It's a toss up. The food was delicious... The "presents" were thoughtful and tasty. Presentation in Kraków I've notice; beautiful and creative. But the portion? Come on... For the price? The portion was ridiculous in my humble opinion. Call me greedy but I was a bit disappointed with the portion. Not for grungry people.

Yelp
This hotel is phenomenal, one of the best hotels to stay in Kraków. So when I first got there, I was extremely happy to see that the hotel had free, reliable wifi. When I went downstairs, after stopping by my big luxorious room, I headed to the restaurant, which was vastly enjoyable! The location is close to dowtown Kraków, which is great if you plan on go site sightseeing or shopping. My biggest fascination at the hotel would have to be, the front desk giving you free European power adapters, so you could get some extra juice on your phone, to take some unique pictures of Polands. Overall I'm give Hotel Copernicus 5 stars, because of the friendly service, great food and comfortable room.

Yelp
Hotel Copernicus is definitely the place to stay in Krakow, especially if you are an astronomy fan. We stayed on the top floor and had sky windows so we could see the stars at night. During the day the natural light is lovely. The pool looked very clean and inviting, though we didn't have a chance to try it. There's also good lighting in the breakfast room because there are sky windows in the entire hotel. Pros: Comfortable beds Turndown service Two robes that will fit either a petite woman or a large man Great shampoo, conditioner, lotion (L'Occitane) Quiet at night - they have double paned windows Dark room - there are automatic black out shades on the ceiling windows Dinner was extraordinary - I recommend getting the tasting menu rather than going à la carte Excellent customer service Good breakfast and very good latte Lovely graphic design referencing Copernicus' system Cons: The shower pressure was weak in the morning but very good at night We didn't want to leave and we'll be sure to be back. Hope you enjoy it!

Yelp
This is our second stay at the hotel. The rooms are massive with loads of old world charm. This is vintage Poland in a spectacular way. (Don't expect American bathroom, it's Poland) The bed was huge and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. They will park your car off-site for a fee. The main square is a short walk away and the hotel is just under Wawel Castle. We will return again. The basement pool and spa area is heaven on earth.

Yelp
Definitely one of the nicest places to stay in Kraków, if you want an extreme comfortable and relaxing stay, Copernicus can't be beat. It's got an awesome location, a walking distance minutes away from beautiful downtown Kraków. I was fortunate enough to stay here with my wife and our family for a few days while coming through Kraków, and the staff and manner in which they keep the hotel was great. Very nice rooms - modern and classy. Not all rooms have a shower and bath, some have either or, as an FYI. The shower pressure was decent, and the beds were always made well. The food was terrific - we dined within the hotel on our first night, and it was one of the best we've ever had. The waiters were classy and professional the entire time, offering white-gloved pouring of paired beverages with our prix fixe meal. Awesome stay and amazing time here.

Yelp
While only in town for one night, this hotel was a great experience all around. The check-in process, room and amenities (fantastic WiFi and a lovely pool/spa area), breakfast included, helpful service at every turn, location, price and the five-course meal at the restaurant were spectacular. Made us want to stay longer!

Yelp
Hotel Copernicus is a gem of an architectural wonder. Not a nook goes unused in this imaginatively beautifully designed hotel. Copernicus' rooms, breakfasts and amenities are fantastic. The hotel has a delightful roof deck, which I enjoyed as a my private deck without competition. The small swimming pool is lovely. Copernicus is located just a few minutes walk from Krakow's bustling main square. From Copernicus one could easily walk anywhere in town.
